Ninja of the Digixros: Battle Network
Chapter 10: Where the Strong Gather
Naruto was currently zoom through the forest on his hoverboard, weaving from left to right around the trees to avoid colliding into them, all the while listening to the directions given by Zubamon and Ludamon inside the Xros Loader.
"My dear General, please hurry! Who knows how dire the situation could be at the castle at this moment," said Zubamon urgently from within the Xros Loader.
"We get that you're worried but you also need to let him concentrate, I doubt that the last thing you want is for him to run into a tree and get knocked out which would make things even worse for everyone," Noir pointed out.
"You're right, my apologies,"
"It's okay, Duramon. I can understand why you're so worried since you've got good friends there. Just as soon as I get out of this forest, I'll be able to go at full speed for our destination," said Naruto.
They were suddenly snapped out of their conversation when they heard someone calling out inside the forest.
"Mikemon? Mikemon, where are you!?" someone was calling out anxiously.
"Sounds like someone's looking for the princess, could it be an enemy or an ally?" asked Blanc thoughtfully.
"Guess we'll just have to take a look and find out. If it's an enemy then I'll plant a bullet in between its eyes," said Noir as a matter-of-factly.
"I'm rather hoping for that not to be the case," said Blanc.
With that, Naruto temporarily took a detour and went towards where he heard the voice, then he came upon the Digimon. As t turns out, the Digimon bears a strong resemblance to Mikemon being a bipedal cat except that most of it body is cover in white fur with red tribal styled markings on its forehead while the tips of it ears and its two tails are colored purple while striped for the latter. The feline Digimon also wears a pair of yellow gloves with orange paw pads and long claws protruding from them, and one of its more noticeable features would be the large gold ring slung across its shoulder diagonally down to the waist and also the golden charm bell attached to the left ear like an earring. Naruto's Xros Loader identified the feline Digimon to be Gatomon X, meaning that it possessing an X-Antibody.
Naruto slowed down to hover a short distance away from the Digimon before calling out "Hey there,"
Gatomon X turned around and was surprised upon seeing the blonde General "A human? What is one doing here? No I can't let myself be distracted, not when I need to find Mikemon…,"
"If you're talking about the younger princess of Lake Zone, then she's with me," said Naruto, cautiously waiting for her next reaction.
Gatomon X was shocked yet wary since the aforementioned Digimon is nowhere to be seen "You do, then where is she?"
"She's in here…," Naruto brought out his Xros Loaders, shocking the Digimon as she realizes that a General is right in front of her "Mikemon, do you know Gatomon X?"
"Y-Yes, she's...my friend," Mikemon weakly called spoke from the Xros Loader.
"Mikemon, are you alright?" asked Gatomon X worriedly.
"I'm…recovering, thanks to him…he can be trusted. Please…help him get to the castle,"
"Okay, leave it to me. You just keep on resting!" said Gatomon X with determination.
"Thank you…,"
"We're already on our way there, and I won't say no to an extra guide," said Naruto.
"Good to hear cause I wasn't going to accept any refusals…," Gatomon X leapt forwards and went to cling on to Naruto's back while peering over his left shoulder, surprising him and the others.
"Hey, what are you doing!?" Noir demanded angrily.
"Well this hoverboard isn't exactly a two seater so I have to make do with this. Now let's get moving, we don't have any time to waste right now!" Gatomon X.
"Geez, she's kinda bossy," Dorumon commented.
"Indeed she is…," muttered Renamon X with both her and Renamon frowning at how this feline is acting around Naruto.
"Alright then, hang on tight!" Naruto rapidly accelerated, leaving behind a cloud of dust in his wake as he zipped through the landscape while Gatomon X provides directions as she clings to his back.
It didn't take them very long until the castle came within their sights, they could already hear sounds of battle between the Bagra Army and the soldiers of the castle. From the enemy side; Naruto saw that comprises of the usual Troopmon, Pteramon with the newer addition being Icemon as they're all being led by an IceDevimon. On the other hand, the defenders of the castle comprise of ToyAgumon and Pandamon according to the scans of the Xros Loader.
"This is bad, the Bagra Army is laying down the pressure on the castle's defense!" said Gatomon X worriedly.
"Then it's a good thing that we're here!" Naruto declares as he rushes towards the battlefield, then he notices a sharply slanted hill which gave him an idea before riding towards it while bringing out his Blazefire Saber and shifting to Gun Mode.
"What are you doing?" Gatomon X demanded confusedly.
"Time for a dramatic entrance, so hang on tight!"
Naruto activated the boost function on the hoverboard for a burst of speed right before launches off the hill then he performs a combo of a double backflip plus Method Air as he's positioned above the battlefield now. Naruto takes aim and proceeds to fire a barrage of energy bullets, taking the enemy by surprise from being suddenly attack from out of nowhere before landing a short distance away.
"Who are you?!" IceDevimon demanded angrily after being attacked so suddenly.
With a foxy grin, Naruto hopped off his hoverboard to the ground while Gatomon X also jumped off his back to stand next to him "I'm surprised you guys didn't instantly recognize me…," Naruto pointed a thumb at himself "The name's Naruto Uzumaki; proud General of Team Konoha! And we are here to bust you guys up!"
Gatomon X's eyes widen in recognition upon hearing his name "That means…you're the Brawling General!"
"That I am,"
"All troops attack! There's an order to destroy Team Konoha on sight!" IceDevimon ordered, making the Bagra Army comply and approach their new target.
"Not gonna happen, Reload!" Naruto held out his Xros Loader as the screen glows brightly before several Digimon emerged. Namely; Huckmon, the Sistermons, Flamemon, Strabimon, Zubamon, Ludomon, and the Renamon Sisters "Alright then, time to make some noi-,"
"Rock Soul!"
Suddenly, two fireballs in the shape of clef notes came down from above and struck several of the Bagra Army, exploding upon impact. Then someone landed closeby with a skid, revealing to be a Digimon that is a short bipedal dragon with blue eyes and a spiky mouth and a V-shaped forehead. It wears green headphones around its ears, and the joints on its metallic body appear to be held by screws and is holding a mic which is long enough to act as a staff.
"Who is it now!?" IceDevimon was at the end of his rope at this point.
The dragon looked at everyone with a toothy grin "You wanna know? I bet you wanna know…I am-,"
Then several more landed right in front of him, interrupting his introduction. Two Digimon with one being a white and orange lion with yellow drills on certain parts of his body and the other resembling a royal western knight which Naruto's Xros Loader identified as Dorulumon and Knightmon respectively. But it was the three humans that surprised Naruto greatly since they were the last people he'd expect to be here in the Digital World, especially with Knightmon declaring.
"The legendary General Taiki-dono and his team!" said Knightmon.
"Taiki, Zenjiro and Akari too!?" Naruto exclaimed, gaining the aforementioned three's attention and they too were surprised to see him.
"Naruto, what are you doing here?!" asked Akari in shock.
"I wanna know too, but we can save the chat for later after we deal with these guys," said Naruto.
Taiki nods in understanding "Alright then, let's work together!"
"Alright guys, time to show my friends just what Team Konoha can do!" Naruto declares while pointing his Blazefire Saber at the enemy.
"Okay!" the Digimon comply as they all charge alongside their General riding on his hoverboard at the Bagra Army to engage them in combat.
"Hey, I ain't gonna let these guys hog the spotlight!" the red Digimon also known as Shoutmon rushes into the battlefield with reckless abandon.
"Dorulumon, Ballistamon, Starmon! Let's help my friend out!" said Taiki.
"Leave it to us!" said Dorulumon before he and the others join the battle.
"That Naruto has a lot of explaining to do!" said Akari with a frown.
"To think that my main rival is in the Digital World too, it must be a blessing in disguise to be here as well!" said Zenjiro.
Akari wasn't exactly agreeing with that statement "Some blessing…,"
In the midst of all this, additional reinforcements from the castle also joined to aid both teams upon seeing that they're here to aid them as well as seeing that their military leader Knightmon is alive and well since they feared for the worst concerning him and still are with the absence of the second princess Mikemon.
"Fif Slash!" Huckmon lunges at several Troopmon and attacks fiercely with his claws, giving them no opportunities to defend or counter, having becoming more proficient thanks to Naruto's tutoring who spoke of a friend that fought alongside a canine that fought akin to that of a feral beast. He noticed some Icemon trying to surprise him by launch several ice shards towards him "Teen Ram!" he spins his tail like a drill then deflects the incoming projectiles before retaliating "Baby Flame!" he opens his mouth and spews fire at them then moves on to the next target.
"Rowdy Rocker!" Shoutmon was doing his own thing as he swings his extended mic around like a bo staff, constantly bludgeoning anyone unfortunate to be his enemy with his weapon "You want more? Then have some of this, Soul Crusher!" he screams into the mic, launching a powerful fire blast which destroys any in its path.
"Hey, get down!" someone called out, confusing Shoutmon who didn't know that some Troopmon are about to attack him from behind him "Flame Toss!" a barrage of fireballs suddenly flew past him and took down the Troopmon before they could attack then the person landed nearby, revealing to be Flamemon.
"Hey man, make sure to watch your back. These guys play for keeps," Flamemon advised.
Shoutmon rubs the back of his head sheepishly "Yeah, I let down my guard. Ain't gonna happen again,"
"It's okay, what say we deal with these guys? There's a lot to go around,"
"Sure!" Shoutmon then heard sounds of battle and looked to see Naruto riding around on his hoverboard skillfully all the while slashing with that sword which would also transform into a firearm to launch long-range attack "Your General really is something,"
Flamemon grins happily "You haven't yet seen him get serious on these guys, just wait and you'll see what I mean,"
Then Strabimon slides to a stop next to them with a frown on his face "Will you stop standing around and help deal with this rabble?" he takes off before they could respond and was already slicing through multiple Troopmon and Icemon before they could even react.
"Geez, what's with that attitude?" asked Shoutmon with a frown, feeling the same standoffish vibe that he gets from Dorulumon before he joined the team and still does.
Flamemon sighs in response "Dude, I can tell you stories about that at a later time since he's not exactly wrong right now,"
Meanwhile, Taiki along with Akari and Zenjiro were watching how Naruto actively fights alongside his team, staying on the move and constantly creating chaos on the battlefield which places the enemy in a state of confusion that his Digimon would capitalize on and inflict critical damage.
"I just don't get it; how did Naruto make his way here?" asked Akari confusedly.
Taiki frowns a bit while he observes Naruto "I don't know, but there's something different about him from the usual,"
"What do you mean?"
"It's the way he's fighting, I know that he took part in kendo and martial art competitions but…,"
"But what?"
Zenjiro was the one who answers this time "He fights like he's been doing this for a long time. I told you guys before that I sparred with him lots of times, so I can tell that this is something he never showed to me,"
Akari blinks in confusion "You mean to say that what Naruto is doing right now is a whole new thing to you two?"
Taiki nods in affirmation "That's right,"
It went without saying that the Bagra Army is being pushed back greatly and this rate they'll be utterly defeated. Seeing that he has no other options to turn the battle around, IceDevimon was left with no other choice.
"All units, retreat at once!" no sooner he said those words, IceDevimon immediately turned around and flew away with the remaining forces turning tail and running away.
"Victory is ours!" Taiki and Naruto declares at the same time, receiving cheers from everyone at their success of driving the enemy away from the castle for now.
Naruto approaches his friends and hops off his hoverboard with his team gathering up to him "Guess you guys are wondering why I'm here, huh?"
Taiki nods in affirmation "Pretty much,"
"Before I do that, there's someone I need to bring out…," Naruto holds out his Xros Loader which catches everyone's attention with how different it looks compared to Taiki's "Reload, Mikemon!" the screen glowed for a moment before a Digimon appears, revealing to be Mikemon whom Knightmon and the other castle residents immediately recognizes.
"Princess, you're well!" Knightmon exclaims in shock and happiness.
"I am now, and you have this young man to thank for rescuing me," Mikemon turns to Naruto and bows her head in gratitude "I am truly grateful for not only rescuing me but also aiding in protecting my beloved subjects,"
Naruto smiles "You're most welcome," he turned back to the others "Now about my being here,"
"Yeah, care to tell us?" asked Zenjiro.
"Well for starters, I had received a letter from someone who told me that the Digital World was in danger and requested for my help while providing me with a Xros Loader and a PET customized specifically for me. With how well you guys know me, I chose to answer the call for help and prepared accordingly before coming here, then I started forming up a team to gather the Code Crowns while also dealing with the Bagra Army whenever I run into them," Naruto explains to his friends.
"But why…," asked Akari "You could have simply refused and remained in the Human World, there wasn't any need to get involved,"
The only reason why she and the others ended up in the Digital World was due to Taiki's bad habit of 'Never turning his back on others'. As much as she saw the good that they did in this world with Shoutmon and the others, a part of her still wishes to go back home and be with her family. Which is why she's so confused that Naruto still chose to come here in spite of being given a chance to remain in the Human World.
"Akari…," Naruto surprises everyone with the serious expression on his face "I can understand where you're coming and truly appreciate your concern for me, but I chose to come here while fully aware of the risks involved and also because of what would happen had I refused the call for help," he gestures to his team with a fond smile "I never would have met these guys, got to know them and fight together with a shared goal in hand. There's a saying 'Evil truly wins when good people who could have stopped them choose to do nothing',"
Akari was stunned to silence at his words, was Naruto always this mature? He was always goofily playing around and at times joining Taiki in his shenanigans, could it be that there wasn't a need for him to be this mature in the Human World but that changed when he came here?
"That's my boss!" said Huckmon with great pride in his partner "I would have been a goner if he hadn't shown up to bail me out,"
"Indeed, he heard my DigiMelody when I was on a brink of death. One of the many reasons why I chose him to be my master," said Renamon, earning confused looks from the humans while Naruto simply sighs in mild embarrassment.
"We've been with him since the beginning and witnessed his consecutive success in defeating the Bagra Army and claiming the Code Crowns, liberating the Zones," said Blanc then she shyly ducks behind Noir when everyone started looking at her.
"Boss is amazing!" Dorumon emerges from the Xros Loader with Tokomon X riding on his back "He was so cool when he fought those bad guys back in the Bamboo Zone!"
"Yeah, he rescued me when I was kidnapped!" said Tokomon X in addition.
"By the twentieth nod of my head, my General has proven to me so many times why he's truly worth my loyalty to him," said Zubamon.
Team Xros Heart could clearly see how the Digimon on Naruto's team adore him, their words were also testimonies as he making the right decision in coming here since most of them would have lost their lives if not for him. In Taiki's eyes, Naruto being here increases their chances of survival and also saving the Digital World since the others whom he has met so far are barely neutral to Team Xros Hearts.
"Wow…," Mikemon looks at Naruto with eyes of admiration, not only did he rescue her also proved to have a righteous heart as well…like he's came straight out of a fairy tale, being a figurative knight in shining armor…plus he has whisker marks that him look cute.
Mikemon wasn't the only paying close attention to Naruto as Gatomon X was also staring at him rather intently "I'm starting to understand him a bit more, but I'm kinda curious about those marks on his cheeks. They make him so…catlike,"
Strabimon then spoke up, wanting to move things along "I believe that we should be meeting with the leader in charge of the castle,"
Mikemon snaps back into focus "Oh yes, I'll take you to my sister. Follow me!" she gestures for everyone to follow her into the castle which they did.
Soon enough, the two teams and the others made their way through the many hallways until finally arriving at the throneroom where a Digimon was curled up on the through and fast asleep. She appears to be a catlike humanoid being dressed up as a rather exotic belly dancer, Naruto's Xros Loader identifies her as Bastemon.
"Allow me to introduce to you the first Princess Bastemon," said Knightmon, even though the aforementioned princess still hasn't woken up yet.
"What's wrong with her, does she have low blood pressure or something?" asked Zenjiro confusedly at her current behavior.
"Actually, the princess marches to the beat of her own drum. She sleeps for two-thirds of the day," Knightmon explains as if talking about the weather.
"That's no different from a real cat!" Akari exclaims.
"I'm starting to see what you mean, Zubamon," said Naruto with a sweatdrop.
"This girl…please give me a moment please," Mikemon took a few steps forward before leaping high into the air and diving towards Bastemon with a flying kick "Wake up, stupid sister!"
Whack*
"MEOWCH!"
Bastemon suddenly shot up after being so rudely awakened from getting hit in the head by her younger yet irate sister, looking at her with teary eyes "Little sister, why do you always do that? It really hurts!"
"That's exactly why I do it, we'd be having less problems around here if you were sleeping less and being more proactive around here!" said Mikemon in annoyance.
"But…,"
"No buts!"
Gatomon X sighs at this "Geez, the more things change the more they stay the same,"
"This happens a lot?" asked Shoutmon curiously.
"At this point, I've already lost count…,"
"Now compose yourself and at least show your thanks to the ones who helped protect the castle and saved me!" said Mikemon before turning away with a huff.
"Oh…okay," Bastemon turns to the group with a small bow of her "Pardon my rudeness, I'm truly grateful that you save Knightmon and my sister's lives while also protecting the castle,"
Taiki rubs the back of his head sheepishly "It's no big deal…,"
"Yeah, it was the right thing to do," Naruto added with a foxy grin.
"Don't be modest!" Knightmon exclaims, surprising the two before he turns to the princesses "These two are true Generals, let's proceed with making one of them the leading knight of our castle! I personally recommend Taiki-dono,"
"I see what you mean, though I'd also like for Naruto to be bequeathed the position as well," Mikemon turns to Bastemon "What do you think, sister?"
Bastemon looked a bit troubled "Oh…this might be a bit worrying,"
"Why's that?" asked Akari.
"You see…someone else who'd arrived here earlier also requested for the position, he's apparently a General as well,"
"A General? You mean another human?" asked Huckmon.
"If so, then why didn't we see them helping to drive the Bagra Army away before we showed up?" asked Flamemon confusedly.
"My thoughts exactly," Strabimon mutters with a small frown, already suspecting this supposed General.
Bastemon yawned loudly "How shall we decide…?" she was drooping off to sleep
BONK*
She was nursing a small bump on her head thanks to Mikemon hitting her in the head with an annoyed expression.
"Don't think I'm going to you sleep right when we're in a meeting!" said Mikemon angrily.
"They certainly have a unique relationship," Akari commented with a sweatdrop.
Picking up on the sounds of footsteps from behind, Naruto turned around to see someone enter the room, gaining the others attention and it seems like Taiki and his friends recognize this person as he approaches them.
"Fancy meeting you here again, Taiki. And I was wondering when I would be meeting the Brawling General whom I've been hearing rumors about throughout the Zones," said the boy with smooth blonde hair.
"Taiki, who's this guy?" asked Naruto while staring at the boy "Those eyes of his…,"
"His name is Kiriha, he's the General of Team Blue Flare," said Taiki with a frown on his face.
Kiriha smirks at the two boys "Indeed, and it's nice to meet you; General Naruto of Team Konoha,"
"Likewise…," Naruto responds.
Meanwhile at the frozen base of the faction of the Bagra Army, IceDevimon could be seen angrily walking down the frosted hallway as his underlings focus on the tasks given to them so as to not end up being targets of their leader's anger.
"Grrr…damn them all! Hey, I'm thirsty! Where's my special absolute zero drink!?" IceDevimon demanded angrily.
"I'm drinking it," a seductive female voice spoke up from close by.
IceDevimon turned to the person with the intention to unleash his anger on them only to be stricken with fear upon seeing who exactly was speaking to him.
"*Gasp* Lilithmon-sama!" IceDevimon spoke with no small amount of fear.
For better understanding; Lilithmon is one of the three great Generals of the Bagra Army who only answer to Bagramon himself. They have more than proven why they're in such positions for they alone could conquer Zones without any form of assistance. The ones serving under the Generals often pray that they don't do anything that would upset them for it would cost their very lives.
"So far, only this drink is what's refreshing in this base while the rest is tepid, far too tepid," Lilithmon tosses the empty ice goblet aside while approaching a frightened IceDevimon who fell to the ground in fear "And what really is tepid…is your strategies, IceDevimon,"
IceDevimon immediately gets on his knees and bows to the General "I beg your pardon, Lilithmon-sama!"
"When are you going to take the Code Crown hidden inside the castle? If you take any longer…," Lilithmon looks down with a crazed smile "I might explode!"
Shivering at her words, IceDevimon forces himself to respond "I actually have a secret plan, this time…this time I won't fail you!"
However, Lilithmon wasn't even listening to him for she was looking elsewhere "Ara, what are you doing here…filthy reaper?"
IceDevimon looked to see someone emerge from the shadows, looking highly intimidating judging by the clothing and aura emanating from him. This Digimon is Baalmon, a mysterious yet highly dangerous warrior who serves the Bagra Army with the alias Grim Reaper who has slain many with great lethality and yet is treated with disdain and suspicion by others for he came from out of nowhere to offer his services to the Bagra Army while not revealing his reasons.
"I have come to sell my services to you, milady," Baalmon explains then he glances at IceDevimon "It seems that your subordinate isn't capable enough to redeem himself…perhaps I could lend you a hand,"
"What did you say!?" IceDevimon glared at Baalmon for the thinly veiled insult.
"Oh my, how suspicious," Lilithmon commented.
"Please don't say that, milady. I would do anything to charm you," Baalmon insisted.
"Oh, so you fancy me then?"
"Please keep it a secret from the two other head officers,"
Lilithmon smiled slyly "Then, how about you eliminate the boy with the red Xros Loader and that other one, the so-called Brawling General? It seems this one got a real whupping from them,"
IceDevimon stiffened in response "She knew already!?"
Baalmon bowed his head in response "That would be easy,"
Unbeknownst to them; two dwarf sized black silhouettes are peering from behind a large ice stalagmite and were listening in on their conversation.
"Did you hear all that?" asked the first silhouette.
The second one nods in affirmation "Yes, now's a better chance as any to make our move,"
"Alright, let's do it,"
Back at the castle, both teams were being treated to a feast comprising of Diginoir which is quite a delicacy in the Digital World. Quite evident with how Shoutmon is currently drooling at the great spread before him with sparkling eyes.
"Are you sure we can eat all this?" asked Shoutmon, hoping not to hear a no.
A ToyAgumon smiles in response "Of course you can, this feast is meant for you and your friends!"
"Awesome, totally gonna splurge on all this!"
Huckmon rushed over and grabbed a couple of packs for himself "Hey, don't go hogging it all! We earned it just as much as you have!"
"Yeah, leave some for us too!" Dorumon took some to share with Tokomon X.
Shoutmon felt sheepish "Sorry about that, I can't help it. I do love Diginoir after all,"
"Who doesn't?" said Flamemon while snacking on some Diginoir in hand, glancing to see Strabimon away from the others and helping himself to some.
"Shoutmon is too easily distracted whenever Diginoir is involved," Akari commented while eating said food.
"And to think that he was ranting about us keeping an eye on Kiriha in case he tries something sneaky," Cutemon added.
Blanc and Noir were eating Diginoir when they noticed that Mikemon and Gatomon X were walking around and they seemed to be looking for something or rather someone, so they decide to inquire from them.
"Excuse me, but who are you looking for?" asked Blanc politely.
Mikemon turned to the Sistermons to answer their question "Actually, we were looking for your General Naruto. I was hoping to speak to him about certain things,"
Noir quirked an eyebrow "If you're looking for Naruto, he's with his friend and that other human at the tower above us. Seems like they're having a discussion about something,"
"Is that so…," Mikemon felt a bit down at not yet being able to talk to the young boy that saved her.
"But what is it you wish to speak to him about?" asked Blanc curiously.
Gatomon X was the one to answer "We were hoping to get to know him more, considering that he's the one who saved my best friend and the stories that we heard about him too,"
"Is that so…?" Noir felt that wasn't all there is to their statement "Well we can tell you what we know about him, considering that we were there all those times,"
Mikemon frowned a bit at how defensive they're being of their General but took it in stride "Oh I see, well we can learn more from him afterwards,"
"By the twentieth blink of my eyes, I sense a certain tension over there," Zubamon commented.
"And that's not the only place you should be wary of," Ludomon glances at the other side of the room, seeing the Renamon Sisters looking at the others with narrowed eyes.
Meanwhile, Taiki as well as Naruto and Kiriha were at the tallest tower of the castle, snacking on the Diginoir that they brought up there with him.
"You know, this is the only food that tastes good in this world," Taiki commented.
"Yeah," said Kiriha.
"Pretty much why I prepared lots of food before I came here, also helps that the residents in the Factory Zone modified my backpack to be able to have greater storage without any weight while preserving whatever is inside," said Naruto, glancing at Kiriha with a mental frown "I may not be able to sense negative emotions anymore, but I can somehow tell that there's something about this guy,"
Taiki stared at Kiriha with a neutral expression "You're not really here to protect the castle, are you?"
Kiriha scoffed "Of course not, I'm only here for the Code Crown. However, that strange princess totally threw me off my pace. The Bagra Army is far easier to deal with than her,"
The boy then turned to Naruto "I can tell that you bear the same naivety as Taiki, no doubt your reasons for being here is to liberate the Digital World from the Bagra Army, am I wrong?"
Naruto crossed his arms in response "Hitting the nail right on the head, so what is your reason for being here in the Digital World?"
"To prove to myself and to anyone else that I can become strong enough to survive and crush anyone that gets in my way," Kiriha stated.
Naruto frowned at his words for it reminded him about certain people in his past life, namely his old teammate "I see, so that's what drives you to become strong. Then I'm afraid we won't be able to see eye-to-eye,"
"Is that so, then what is your drive to become stronger?" asked Kiriha curiously, even Taiki wishes to know as well.
"In Team Konoha, we go by several codes; one being that 'Those who break the rules are trash, but those that abandon their comrades are lower than trash'. And another being 'When a person has something precious that they want to protect, that's when they become genuinely strong'. Each and every one of my teammates have something that they want to protect and we'll strive to go beyond our limits to protect them," said Naruto seriously.
Hearing this surprised Taiki and Kiriha, especially the former since he wasn't expecting to hear this from his friend. Then again, he recalls how Naruto tends to inspire the members of a team which he's in which drove them to perform even better than what one would normally expect from them, having been there to witness those moments.
Kiriha scoffed at those words "I see…but it's one thing to say such things and another to live up to them. I prefer to see you put those words into action,"
Naruto grins in response "Then you'd better keep those eyes wide open just so you can commit what you'll see to memory,"
"Hmph, just to let you two know; I'll be taking down the IceDevimon Army the next time that they show up and then take the Code Crown here before being on my way," said Kiriha before walking away from the other two, not waiting for their response.
Naruto watched the boy leave before speaking to Taiki "As much as I don't want him to get the Code Crown, the protection of the castle and its residents is of higher priority to us as of now,"
"Yeah, you're right," Taiki was in agreement.
Naruto glanced behind him in amusement "Anyways, you guys can come out now,"
At his words; Zenjiro as well as Knightmon and Ballistamon popped their heads out from behind some large pillars then the former asked.
"How did you know?" Zenjiro wondered.
Naruto grinned in response "Stealth doesn't really suit you three plus you keep poking your heads out from behind those pillars too many times, no doubt that Kiriha also knows that you were eavesdropping on us,"
"So, why are you guys here?" asked Taiki confusedly.
"We just wanted to make sure that he doesn't try anything funny with you two," Zenjiro explained.
"I don't feel any warmth from him like I do with Taiki-dono and Naruto-dono," Knightmon pointed out to them.
"I get what you mean but…," Naruto looked to where Kiriha was "There seems to be more to him than what we know at face value,"
Taiki nods in agreement "You're right. When I see him, I get that feeling…,"
"Hey now, don't go saying that you won't turn your back on him! Why do you always act like that?" no sooner he asked the question that Zenjiro saw the shared expression of sadness between the two normally cheerful Generals.
"The reason for it isn't as cheerful as you might think," said Naruto sadly.
Taiki looked down to the ground "That day…it was raining,"
A couple years back, both Naruto and Taiki were much younger back then but were as thick as thieves even then. there was a kid whom they weren't too familiar with since he had recently switched classes. That day, there was a soccer game and the boy had hit his head pretty hard, raising concerns from Naruto and Taiki but the former didn't have a chance to check on the boy since he was picked up from school by his parents. That night, Naruto received a phone call from a sorrowful Taiki who revealed that he met the boy again and tried to help but was refuted, so he went on his way, but then an ambulance passed by and it was meant for the boy earlier, revealing that the blow to the head was much deadlier than they thought which resulted in the boy not being able to attend school and remained in the hospital for half a year.
"If only we were more insistent in making sure that he was and had gotten help earlier, he wouldn't have to go through all that," Naruto clenched his fists tightly.
"But you couldn't have known," Zenjiro pointed out to them.
"Yet we were more observant than the others and could have told the grownups about it,"
"Ever since that day, I swore to never let what happened that rainy day to ever repeat itself, that's why my body tends to move first before my mind even starts thinking. Because I never want to turn my back on anyone ever again," said Taiki with a serious expression.
"You guys…," Zenjiro was now getting a clear idea about Naruto and Taiki, gaining a better understanding of why they chose to come to the Digital World instead of staying back where it's safer.
"Taiki is such a good guy, I like him even more now," said Ballistamon with admiration for his General.
"Their hearts are an exemplary model of the knight's code!" Knightmon truly felt touched by the righteous hearts of the two Generals, no wonder why they are able to cooperate so well with each other.
Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by the sound of beeping and it seems to be coming from Naruto's Xros Loader as he takes it out from the custom holster to look at the screen with a thoughtful expression.
"What is it?" asked Taiki curiously.
"Oh, it's just my Xros Loader notifying me about the rate of progress at which an artifact which I got from Dorumon and Tokomon X when I was in the Bamboo Zone is being defragmented. It seems to have reached 87%, so it won't be long now," Naruto explains while looking at the progress bar on the screen.
"I wonder what it could be?" said Zenjiro.
"Whatever it is, it seems to resonate with Tokomon X,"

The group was surprised by the sudden sounds of explosions which shook the entire castle, they looked outside to see that the Bagra Army has returned and in even greater numbers compared to before.
With a frown, Naruto brought out his hoverboard and got on it "We need to get down there and fast, hop on!"
"Right!"
Taiki recalled Ballistamon and Knightmon into his Xros Loader then jumped onto the hoverboard and held onto Naruto's shoulders as they launched off the tower and rode down the wall until they reached the ground and rushed to the edge of the moat. From up close, they could clearly see how aggressive the enemy is attacking with everything they've got as Ballistamon and Knightmon emerged to stand next to the humans.
"What heavy numbers!" Knightmon draws out his word in preparation for battle.
Seeing large chunks of ice launched their way by the Icemon, Ballistamon immediately took to the defensive "Heavy Speaker!" he blared the inbuilt speaker in his chest at high volumes which shatters the incoming ice projectiles. However, some of the ice shattered to reveal several Icemon which were encased inside and were about to attack them from close up.
"Dorulu Tornado!" a spiraling vortex of wind blasted them away then Dorulumon ran up to them along with Akari "Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, but where are the others?" Taiki asked urgently.
"They all passed out from eating too much," Akari explained.
"You gotta be kidding me!"
"Talk about bad timing but then again, we weren't exactly expecting them to attack so soon," said Naruto with a frown.
"Hey Bossman!" Flamemon along with Strabimon, Zubamon, Ludomon, Huckmon and the Sistermons came running up to them "What's the play here?"
"I thought you guys stuffed yourselves too?" asked Naruto.
"We trained to always be at the ready for a battle," Strabimon explained.
"Sister Ciel was very thorough with us about that," Noir added with Blanc nodding in agreement while Huckmon shivers at the memory.
"Alright then, let's-," Naruto was speaking when something flew over their heads, making them look to see a Digimon which is the hybrid fusion of a raptorial bird and a fighter jet which Naruto's Xros Loader identifies as a MailBirdramon.
Riding atop the Digimon was Kiriha as they swoop down towards the ground. Kiriha jumped to the ground and brought his Blue Xros Loader as a Digimon emerges from it with a groundshaking roar, revealing it to be an uncommon breed of a Greymon according to Naruto's Xros Loader.
"How about we do that thing after so long?" asked MailBirdramon while flying overhead.
"Of course, let's show Taiki and that new General the Digixros of Team Blue Flare," the screen of the Blue Xros Loader lit up in response to Kiriha's intentions "Greymon! MailBirdramon! Digixros!"
Greymon and MailBirdramon were suddenly enshrouded in auras of purple and blue respectively as they shot into the air and underwent a fusion before crashing back down to the ground with the light fading to reveal a new form; showcasing Greymon equipped with metallic armor on various parts of its body, flight gear, and a large three-clawed gauntlet on its left arm. All of which are of MailBirdramon's body "MetalGreymon!"
"Take them down, MetalGreymon!" Kiriha commanded calmly.
At his command MetalGreymon activates the thrusters on his back to launch himself forwards at the enemy. In response, the Icemon and Troopmon frantically opened fire in hopes that they could at least inflict some form of damage on the fearsome opponent. However, MetalGreymon launched a barrage of energy blasts in his approach "Trident Arm!" he slammed his claw gauntlet onto the ground, unleashing a massive shockwave which sends many flying before taking to the air and hovering above them "Giga Destroyer!" MetalGreymon unleashes the entire payload of his weaponry, literally raining down destruction throughout the battlefield.
"How merciless…," Dorulumon mutters to himself, having seen such destruction when he used to serve in the Bagra Army before changing sides.
"He's so strong!" Akari was just as surprised.
Strabimon frowns a bit "This must be his battle style, attack with overwhelming power that no one would be able to contend with, erasing any thoughts of resistance,"
"Oh yeah, well we're no slouches when it comes to power either. Let's us get in there and show him what we can do, bossman!" said Flamemon eagerly, but then he heard no response from Naruto which confuses him "Bossman, what's the matter?"
Naruto was surveying the battlefield with a frown "Something's not right about this,"
"What do you mean?" asked Akari confusedly.
"Naruto's right, the Bagra Army is attacking with great force…but why is it that their faction leader IceDevimon isn't on the battlefield to lead them?" Taiki pointed out to them, making them realize what the two Generals meant.
"You're right, so then where is he?" asked Huckmon.
Taiki took notice of the chunks of ice floating in the moat then recalls how the Icemon were encased in them, it dawned upon what's really going on "Oh no, this is all a distraction! To drawn our attention away from their true target!"
"Then that means…," Naruto and Taiki sharply turns towards the castle.
True to their suspicions, a group of Icemon led by IceDevimon stealthy snuck into the castle via the underground tunnels while the enemy were being distracted by their outside forces in the meantime.
Bastemon and Mikemon with Gatomon X were watching the ongoing battle from the balcony "Oh my, what trouble. A battle was going on while I was sleeping?"
"This is exactly why I dislike it when you fall asleep most of the time, you tend to be unavailable when you're needed the most!" Mikemon scolded her older sister.
"She's not wrong, you know. you really need to be more proactive," Gatomon X added.
At that moment, they heard footsteps approaching and turned to see IceDevimon along with his squad of Icemon, much to their shock.
"IceDevimon, how did you get here!?" Bastemon exclaimed in shock.
IceDevimon sneers in response "My diversionary tactics have proven to be successful seize them!" the Icemon approach the trio at his command as Mikemon and Gatomon X stepped forward and prepare to fight back "Now tell us where the Code Crown is, and I might let you live,"
Mikemon glares at IceDevimon in defiance "In your dreams!"
"Have it your way, get them!"
"Soul Crusher!"
"Koyōsetsu!"
A blast of fiery energy and a barrage of sharpened leaves struck the ground before IceDevimon and his Icemon, forcing them to move back. They looked up towards where the attacks came from and were surprised to see Shoutmon along with the Renamon Sisters perched on the rafters and looking down on them.
"You, why didn't you join the fight!?" asked IceDevimon in disbelief.
"Your strategy was obvious right from the start!" Shoutmon stated confidently, what really happened was that Taiki had contacted him earlier via the wrister made by Ballistamon to immediately protect the princesses from an ambush.
"As for us, our master had entrusted us with the task of watching over the princesses in the likeliness that situations like this were to occur," Renamon X explained.
At that moment, Taiki and Naruto alongside the others finally caught up and immediately move to protect the princesses from harm as Shoutmon and the Renamon Sisters jumped down to join them.
IceDevimon gritted his teeth in frustration, this wasn't supposed to happen. His plan was perfect with no flaws whatsoever and yet these two humans and their Digimon ruined everything in one go, he won't stand for this! Left with no other options, IceDevimon proceeds to absorb all of the Icemon with him, increasing both in size and mass as he smashed his way up to the roof with Shoutmon and the others following after them while Naruto and Taiki had to take the stairs to the top.
"Soul Crusher!" Shoutmon screams into the mic, launching a powerful fire blast.
"Drill Buster!" Dorulumon fires several drill-shaped missiles from his body towards the Enhanced IceDevimon.
However, the enemy Digimon batted the two incoming attacks aside and swooped down to attack them with a large fist reared back for a fierce punch.
"Horn Breaker!" Ballistamon burst out for the roof to strike the Enhanced IceDevimon with his horn, knocking him back and clinging to the side of the tower only to retaliate with a barrage of ice shards all over the place.
"Quit that, Flame Toss!" Flamemon launches a couple of fireballs from his hands to disrupt the enemy's attack.
"Baby Flame!" Huckmon spews fire from his mouth to link up with Flamemon's attacks, successfully stopping the Enhanced IceDevimon's attacks and forcing him to fly away from them. At that moment, Naruto and Taiki had finally reached the roof and saw the current situation.
"Taiki, we're gonna need X4!" said Shoutmon urgently.
However, Ballistamon was frozen from Enhanced IceDevimon's earlier attack "We can't, Ballistamon is…,"
Naruto caught sight of something in the distance and immediately alerted the others "Guys, we've got incoming!"
No sooner he said those words that they were under attack by a barrage of red energy bullets as Baalmon makes his presence known to everyone, setting his eyes on Naruto and Taiki specifically.
"Sorry, but you two have to die!" said Baalmon before aiming his gun at the two and starts firing at them.
"I won't let you!" Ludomon immediately got in between to block with his twin bucklers but the power of the attack was too much to hold back and he was sent flying.
"Ludomon!" Naruto glares at Baalmon and takes out his Xros Loader "Now you just made me mad, get ready everyone!"
"You know it!" said Huckmon.
"Huckmon, Zubamon; Warp Digivolution!" Naruto called out with twin beams of yellow energy falling from the sky onto the two Digimon.
"Huckmon warp digivolve to…SaviorHuckmon!" Huckmon digivolved into his Ultimate form and is all set for the fight. "Zubamon warp digivolve to…" Zubamon followed suit and transformed into his Ultimate as well "…Duramon!"
"Digivolution? But how is it possible, it takes a very long time to evolve!" Enhanced IceDevimon exclaims in disbelief, even Baalmon was shocked to witness such a phenomenon.
"Now to show you why they call me the Brawling General!" Naruto brings out both his PET and Synchro Chip "D-Trans, Execute!" Naruto inserted the synchro chip into the PET to transform into his Mega Mode, surprising those who didn't know he could do so especially Kiriha who had just shown up in time to witness this.
"Naruto, you can transform?" asked Taiki in shock.
Naruto grins in response "Yup, and you ain't seen nothing yet! Let's go guys!" he charges alongside Duramon and SaviorHuckmon towards their enemies as Naruto targets Baalmon himself.
"Do not think you can take me on, boy!" Baalmon starts shooting at Naruto who darts and somersaults around the incoming bullets while returning fire with his Megabuster and quickly scrolling through the list of battlechips to select one of them.
"Glass Rush!" Duramon dashes towards Baalmon to support Naruto and proceeds to slice at the enemy with the blades on both of his arms with lines of golden energy trailing from every swing of his sword, but Baalmon was actually able to keep up as he uses his shortsword to skillfully deflect each and every one of the slashes before somersaulting backwards into the air then firing with his firearm once more.
"I don't think so, Battlechip; Barrier!" Naruto appears before Duramon and forms a blue translucent dome of energy which blocks against the incoming projectiles before taking to the offensive "Battle Chip; Vulcan1!" he repositions himself as his arm transforms into a gatling gun which begins to spin before rapidly firing bullets, Baalmon twists his body in midair to land on the ground and dashes to the side to evade the bullets.
"Die already, Frost Claw!" Enhanced IceDevimon targets SaviorHuckmon with an ice encased claw swipe which the latter skillfully dodges.
"I don't think so, Trident Saber!" he assaulted the enemy with the three red blades equipped to his tail and arms, inflicting numerous cuts all over the enemy's body.
"Damn you, Icy Shower!" Enhanced IceDevimon moves back then flaps his wings to launch a barrage of razor-sharp icicles towards his target.
"Meteor Flame," SaviorHuckmon rapidly fires fire shots from his mouth like a machine gun, instantly melting the icicles then continuing to attack IceDevimon and effectively bringing him crashing down to the castle roof.
"Amazing…," Taiki was understandably awed to see the prowess of Naruto and his teammates as they begin to turn the situation around for them.
"A General that actually fights alongside his army, I'm starting to see why they have so much pride in him," said Shoutmon thoughtfully.
Naruto and Duramon skids backwards from another clash with Baalmon, both seeing that this Digimon is quite different compared to the ones whom they fought until now. His skills in the use of his sword and firearms speaks of years of dedicated training.
"Seems like his skills in the sword and firearms are bolstered by his speed which means that he can't exactly take a lot of hits. So I just need to match or surpass that speed of his, in that case…," thought Naruto before snapping into focus as he calls out.
"Soul Unison: Shadow Soul!"

Naruto is then surrounded by many dark human-shaped silhouettes then one of them flew towards him and fused in a bright flash of light. Naruto stand before everyone while donning a purple outfit with silver knee-length footwear, his entire head and face is covered by a purple mask with a silver forehead protector which has a green gem embedded in it, as well as a long red scarf hanging from around his neck.
Naruto instinctively forms a handsign with a nostalgic smile hidden behind the mask as it reminds him greatly of his past life "Time to go back to my roots!"
"Whoa, he looks like a ninja now," Flamemon commented.
"We'll just have to wait and see what he can do," said Strabimon.
Baalmon frowns at this new transformation "From what I've heard, this General utilizes various transformations to combat his opponents. I'd best be careful,"
Naruto narrows his eyes in focus as he crouches slightly before dashing forward at speeds higher than his default form, Baalmon immediately took aim and began shooting at him "Bunshin!" Naruto forms a handsign and creates a pair of doppelgangers side-by-side as they proceed to dart and jump around, purposely making it difficult for the enemy to locate the real one. Baalmon was actually able to keep up with the copies that were attacking from different directions as he shot one and cut down the other, he quickly spun around and fired a shot right into Naruto's chest when he was attempting to attack from behind. However, Naruto was suddenly engulfed in a cloud of smoke which dissipated to a doll version of himself which plopped to the ground.
"Battlechip; Kunai1!" Naruto reappeared with a kunai in hand as he rushes in from the left and attacks with Baalmon barely blocking it in time with his firearm, he raised his shortsword to attack "Battlechip; Katana1!" Naruto quickly materializes a katana into his free hand which he wields to block the incoming blade, placing both in a bladelock "Duramon, now!"
"Got it, Blindead!" Duramon fires a large yellow energy beam attack from its chest straight towards the two, shocking everyone.
"What, but you'll hit Naruto too!" Shoutmon yelled in disbelief.
"Don't worry, it won't hit," said Flamemon assuredly, confusing them.
"Are they willing to sacrifice their General in order to defeat me?" Baalmon then looked into Naruto's eyes and saw no fear whatsoever then he heard him speak.
"Battlechip; AreaSteal!" Naruto instantly disappeared, leaving Baalmon behind to take the hit alone, resulting in an explosion upon impact.
"Did he get him?" asked Taiki anxiously.
Suddenly, something leapt out of the cloud of smoke, revealing to Baalmon who survived but didn't do so unscathed as a large part of his cloak has been burnt away. Apparently, Baalmon tilted his body to the side to avoid Duramon's attack, choosing to endure a lesser amount of damage over the majority of it.
Baalmon clenches his side as he stares at Naruto "It would seem that there's more to you than what we currently know, we will meet again!" then he disappears in a blur before they could react.
"It can't be, the Grim Reaper was actually forced to retreat?" the Enhanced IceDevimon couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.
"Hey snowflake, he's the least of your worries right now!" SaviorHuckmon calls out as he prepares to end the battle once and for all.
"I'll destroy you all!" Enhanced IceDevimon starts attacking with everything he has as he constantly launches volleys of icicles with intent of killing everyone.
"Never gonna happen, Meteor Flame," SaviorHuckmon once again rapidly fires fire shots from his mouth like a machine gun, instantly melting the icicles.
"I got this, partner! Battlechips; StepSword x3!" Naruto quickly uploads the battlechips for a combo.

Naruto materializes a katana which he grabs before disappearing, suddenly afterimages of Naruto begin appearing all around the Enhanced IceDevimon, each and every one of them in postures of having already attacked with their katanas as slash marks are rapidly appearing all over IceDevimon's body. Then the original Naruto appears overhead with the katana poised above his head before he came swooping down to end the assault with a cleaving strike…but the IceDevimon made a desperate move by releasing all his power to revert to his normal size which caused Naruto to miss his attack.
"Y-You'll pay for this!" said IceDevimon fearfully as he flew away with the remnants of his army also retreating.
Naruto land back on the roof with a skillful flourish of his katana and looks at the retreating forces.

"Two consecutive wins in one day, we can place that in our record books," Naruto looks to Taiki with a smirk as he reverts to normal with the PET reappearing and plopping to his waiting hand.
Taiki smiles in agreement then he notices Kiriha flying away on his MailBirdramon "Kiriha seems to be leaving,"
"Kinda weird that he'd be giving up on the Code Crown that easily,"
Shoutmon scoffed "Yeah well I prefer for him not to have it,"
"Gotta agree with ya, his vibe kinda puts me off," said Huckmon after reverting from his Ultimate form along with Zubamon.
Meanwhile, Kiriha was speaking to MailBirdramon with the latter asking "Are you sure about letting them have the Code Crown?"
"I don't mind at all, they were able to see through the enemy's tactics and counter accordingly. I have to hand it to them, and besides…I don't do well with that princess anyway," Kiriha admitted in the end, definitely uncomfortable with how Bastemon easily throws him off his groove.
Sure enough, Bastemon was cuddling the stuffing out of Taiki with great affection while Mikemon was also hugging Naruto from behind with her cheeks pressed against his, much to the envy of Akari and the other female Digimon.
"Oh Taiki-sama, you're my true General! I'll have to turn down the other candidates!" said Bastemon happily.
Mikemon hisses at her sister "Hey, Naruto-sama is also a true General too! Don't overlook him like that!"
"Yeah, I respect the other General but ours is just as good!" Huckmon spoke in agreement.
"Oh dear, I hope this won't result in a fight over the Code Crown," said Blanc worriedly.
However, Noir was grinning "I wouldn't mind that, I won't say no to some 'friendly' competition,"
"Sister no,"
Akari stomps over and forcefully separates Taiki from Bastemon "Alright, that's enough!"
Taiki smiles sheepishly "Well, in any case, I'm just glad that we all pulled…through…," suddenly his eyes slowly closes as he falls to the ground, Akari reflexively grabs Shoutmon and throws him to where Taiki was about to fall, serving as a makeshift cushion. Everyone was shocked and concerned about what just happened to Taiki while Naruto groans, being very familiar.
"Let me guess, Taiki didn't get enough rest before he came here," Naruto didn't ask but rather stated.
Akari could only sigh in response "You know how he is; always overexerting himself and burning out in the end. You also do the same but it takes a while until you burn out too, even then you take time to rest before that happens,"
"What do we do now? With Taiki down, we can't defend against the enemy's strategies and we can't Digixros either," said Shoutmon worriedly.
Naruto spoke up "Guess I'm gonna have to step up and take on the role of defending the castle while Taiki recovers," he looks to everyone "But I'm gonna need not only my team but everyone's help to do so, I hope you guys can put up with me,"
Dorulumon stepped forward "I've seen what you can do earlier and we'll be relying on you in the meantime,"
"Indeed, Naruto-dono! We'll feel assured with you taking the lead in the defense of Castle Bastia!" Knightmon saluted alongside his PawnChessmons.
Mikemon bows her head "We will be relying on you, General Naruto,"
Naruto smiles at their willingness to cooperate with him and his team "Thanks everyone, I'll make sure not to let you all down,"
Hiding in the shadows of the pillars above, a pair of Monitormon were listening in on the whole thing from start to finish.
"It would seem that the General of Team Xros Heart is down for now and the General of Team Konoha will be taking over," said the first Monitormon.
The second Monitormon nods in agreement "Yeah, let's go and give our report,"
Back in the Bagra army's frozen base, Lilithmon stands before a massive double door which was gradually opening with a look of mild annoyance.
"Every single one of them is useless, my only choice now is to get this one moving," Lillithmon looks up with an evil smile as the doors fully open to reveal a massive figure behind them which slowly begins to move.
The two small silhouettes from before witness this moment from behind a pillar and were rather fearful of what Lilithmon has just done.
"Oh no, she plans to use THAT," said the first worriedly.
"We need to act now, there's no more time to lose," said the second.
This is Hussbek online with the latest chapter, Naruto rushes towards the castle to aid against the Bagra Army when he comes across a Digimon known as Gatomon X who was in search of Mikemon and took her along to the castle, there he and his team engage the enemy but what he wasn't expecting was a reunion with his friends Taiki, Akari and Zenjiro who found their way into the Digital World and that Taiki is in possession of a Xros Loader and amassed a team of his own. Together, they were able to drive away the Bagra Army before meeting the two princesses of the Lake Zone then they met another General of a team called Kiriha who has a certain mindset that clashes with Naruto and Taiki's ideals.
While having a feast as well as discussing with each other about various things, they were suddenly attacked by the Bagra Army yet again but with greater force than before. Kiriha wasted no time in attacking the army when Naruto and Taiki noticed something off and realized that IceDevimon was trying to attack the princesses directly then intercepted them, but they were suddenly attacked by the Bagra Army's assassin Baalmon as well. Naruto and his team stepped up to faced the opposition and exhibited their prowess to many before, even forcing IceDevimon and Baalmon to retreat alongside what remains of their army.
However, not everything ends in a positive factor as Taiki passes out due to overexerting himself and Lilithmon has resorted to releasing some sort of secret weapon which might prove to be more than what Team Konoha and Team Xros Hearts would be able to handle. And who are those two mysterious figures in the Bagra Army Frozen Base and what is their purpose? Be sure to stay tuned and find out.
Had to do a lot of re-editing for this chapter concerning the reunion, I also figured that I should have Team Konoha face the IceDevimon and Baalmon for the others to see just how strong they are as well as provide hints for future recruits in the near future. For those that watched the Xros Wars, it would seem that Naruto is basically the first to be able to digivolve his Digimon before the others for obvious reasons. Also keep in mind that the usage of the Soul Unison won't mean that the Style Change would fade from view so no worries about that. After the Lake Zone, Naruto will be going to more OC Zones, but would you like for him to show up at the Heaven Zone or I should skip it? Also, Naruto will be revisiting the Factory Zone in order to gain some upgrades as well as obtain clues to going to some secret areas. Be sure to read and review like always.
