Chapter 4

Inuyasha is in his own office that belongs to his brother. Being dressed in a designer business suit, hair kept back with a black hair tie. Ever since solving the case of the Purifier, Sesshomaru reluctantly promoted Inuyasha to a higher position in the business. Inuyasha knows for sure that he shouldn't be the only one to accept the honor. He adamantly said to him that Kagome deserves it more than him. Even Rin persuaded him to do it, against his own ego, Sesshomaru gives Kagome a huge award for her case.

"Honestly, why does he have to be like that? It's been ten years and he still hates it." He groans as he looks through any of the files that would seem interesting to solve. None of them have been anything like The Purifier. None even have the kind of excitement that Kagome would consider. The office phone rings with a light beeping. "I bet it's him." He pressed the button to connect the call.

"Takahashi, Speaking." He said to the unknown caller.

"Inuyasha, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Totosai's voice spoke from the line. Ok Inuyasha definitely didn't see this coming.
"Why are you calling me on my work phone?" Inuyasha asks as sits in his leather chair.

"Is that anyway to speak to an old friend?" Totosai chuckles as he is in the principal office. Inuyasha knows for one reason why Totosai would call him.

"Hardly. Does it have to do with Moroha going to Sakura Hills High?" Inuyasha asks him immediately. If he knows for one thing, he needs to get more information about this place.

"Very perceptive as always. Yes. I take it she hasn't made up her mind." Totosai isn't really asking, but wants to be update as fast as he can with certain problems.

"No. She hasn't told me or Kagome yet. I think this is too stressful for her. She just started the school year and now all of a sudden, out of the blue, this new school just wants her to attend it." Inuyasha said in a more professional tone. He's not like this unless it involves his daughter. And he doesn't want to let Moroha feel stressed out.

"I'm baffled as you are Inuyasha. I just got to work the other day and then the mail arrived and the school's brochure was in it and it had a note inside telling me about Moroha." Totosai spoke back in the same manner.

"Do you still have the note that came with the brochure?" Inuyasha questions him. "Yes, I put into my desk drawer and wanted to get it to you because you'd be able to tell where exactly this note came from." Totosai said truthfully as he pulls out the note.

"Why me? Wouldn't you just give it to Kagome or Moroha when they arrived?" Inuyasha asks in suspicion. There's no way some note would want Inuyasha to get any details from it.

"I was thinking the same thing. I was about to give it to Kagome, but somehow I was in a trance, letting me know that it must be given to you in person instead of a messenger."

"A trance? Did it somehow possess you in some way?" Inuyasha asks him.

"I was about to touch it but somehow it repelled me, but also didn't want to be near Kagome or Moroha due to have spiritual powers. So that's why you need to take it from me instead." Totosai explains to Inuyasha.

"Maybe someone has put a seal on it. But it can only make contact with those who have demonic powers. More specifically, dogs. I'll swing by after work to pick it up." Inuyasha agrees in the end.

"Very well, See you then." Totosai hangs up on the line. Inuyasha presses the off button of the work phone. "Something tells me that this isn't going to be easy." He said to himself. He goes to the school's website to see if he can get any information about it.

Inuyasha parks in the school parking lot to meet Totosai. The main door opens and Totosai exiting the school. "Finally. Hey over here." Inuyasha shouts to him. Totosai walks up to him and hands over the note. Like what Inuyasha thought it didn't repel him at the least. "So this is the note that came with the brochure?" Inuyasha asks as he opens it up, but there's nothing written on it. Totosai nods. "I know for you have some gadgets to get this note looked at more closely." He advised. Inuyasha puts the note into his suit jacket pocket. "I'll let you know what I find out about this." He drives away back to his home.

Moroha is in the middle of doing her homework from school. Her mom is in the kitchen making dinner. "So what subject are you working on, Moroha?" Kagome asks her daughter curiously. "I'm doing Biology class. We're focusing on the biochemistry." Moroha answers as she goes through the question sheets and finding the answers in the book.

"Oh I remember that subject. Not really my strongest suit if you ask me." Kagome chuckles as her own mistakes.

"You didn't like the subject one bit?" Moroha asks as she puts her pen down. Kagome nods. "Yes. Each year of school, there's a different type of science to learn. There's so much to learn that it can really be difficult."

"But you had to learn it no matter what?" Moroha asks as she puts her chin onto her hand at the table with the elbow supporting it.

"Exactly. No matter how hard or easy the subject was, you need to learn it in order to use it to your advantage. Even going college but I pulled it off because it required a lot of certain information in order for me to be an agent." Kagome said as she turns the oven on to back a casserole.

"Kagome, Moroha. I'm home." Inuyasha calls in as he enters the backdoor from the attached garage of the house.

"In here, Inuyasha." Kagome calls back. Inuyasha enters the kitchen to see Moroha in the middle of her homework. "How's work?" Kagome asks him. Inuyasha embraces her in his arms. "Stressful as always." Inuyasha usually answers. "What about you two?" he asks the both of them.

"Same for me." Kagome said first. Inuyasha takes his spot at the table. With his suit jacket on the chair.

"Towa and Setsuna want to go to that school too." Moroha answers while focusing on the task at hand. That didn't seem to surprise Inuyasha at the moment.

"I just don't know what to do, dad. Why would this school want me to go there? I have nothing to offer that place." Moroha groans. Ok that got Inuyasha's immediate attention. "What made you think that?" He rubs his daughter's back to comfort her.

"Throughout my school years, I had good grades, I competed in the sports and got awards for them, but deep down, I feel I'm not being acknowledged for my success." Moroha sniffles. Inuyasha knows exactly what she means. Being a half or quarter demon, they have to reduce their abilities to make sure they fit in with the crowd.

"Dad, Mom, do you want to go there?" Moroha looks up her parents' eyes. Kagome and Inuyasha didn't see that coming. "Why do we go there this weekend to see if you really want to go?" Kagome suggests her option. Inuyasha on the other hand feels that there's something to do with the place. But for now, he needs to agree with Kagome.
