Chapter 13

After Inuyasha told Kagome to leave Moroha alone, it has become clear that Moroha isn't the only one who's in the state. Towa is on the back porch of the manor resuming her science project with the preferred flower she picked from the nursery that had the required plant. She has filled an empty flowerpot filled with soil and planted some of the flower seeds and waters them. According to what she found out about the Larkspur for how long it takes to grow them from seedlings. She needs to place the pot in partial to full sun areas around the house. Not just that she has to make sure that the area isn't humid because it'd be too much for the flower to withstand.

She walks up to a corner of the back patio known for such times of sun. The moment she sets the pot down, she feels something unusual. 'What's going on?' She asks in her head as she struggles to stand up. 'Something isn't right about this.' She said as she begins to scream in pain.

"Towa!" Rin hears her daughter scream and runs outside to see her hold her head tightly. "Rin, something's wrong with Towa." Jaken, their servant imp demon said to her. "What's going on with her?" Rin asks him worryingly.

"If I were to know any better, what happened at that school must've affected not just her but also Moroha and Setsuna. Tell me what happened when you went to Inuyasha's house." He turns to her sight.

Rin nods and told him that someone at their school died. From what they know so far is that the moment they entered the schoolgrounds, there was a dreadful silence everywhere, no one said a word. The headmistress decided to dismiss them so that they do have to go through the day in a depressing state.

"And it had to do with a dead student?" Jaken asks when she was finished. Rin nods. "Sesshomaru and Inuyasha are going through the news about the boy's cause of death. None of them has found anything yet. And they want to put the mission on hold."

Towa's screaming finally stopped and faints onto the patio. "Towa!" Rin runs up to her daughter to see if she has any wounds. None so far. "We should put her in her room to rest. I'll go check on Setsuna." Jaken said as he is about to reenter the manor. "What about me?" Setsuna asks as she is at the sliding door. "Setsuna, something happened to Towa." Rin said calmly as she could. Setsuna blinks to see something. A mark of some kind.

"Setsuna, are you ok?" Rin asks her curiously. Setsuna blinks again, but the mark is gone. "It's nothing. We need to get sis back to her room." She said as she helps her mother carry Towa to her bedroom.

Inuyasha is in the middle of his work when the camera in the basement gets his attention. He clicks the unmute button on the screen to hear Moroha scream in pain. Not just that, Moroha is also holding her head like something is possessing her. He runs down to the basement to stop whatever Moroha is going through.

"Inuyasha, what's happening?" Kagome asks him from behind. "It's Moroha." He said to her as they see their daughter going through something. "Now you believe me that something's bothering her?" Kagome crossed her arms in disapproval look. Inuyasha growl with his ears pinned back to show he's ashamed of not noticing it earlier.

"AHH!" Moroha screams gets their immediate attention. "What's going on with me? Why can't I stop it." Moroha is scream in agony. Inuyasha leaps from behind his daughter and knocks her out with the technique he showed her when she was just a kid. "Is she alright?" Kagome asks him as he holds Moroha in his arms. "I'm not sure. But there's something going on at the school. Kagome can you tell if her spiritual powers are ok."

Kagome places her hand over Moroha's head. Concentrating her own spiritual powers, "No doubt about it, something was trying to control her. It's a good thing that she was able to repel it. But I don't know what that thing was." She presses her hand onto her daughter's forehead. "She's burning up." She looks at him.

Inuyasha carries Moroha up the stairs all the way to her bedroom. The moment he puts the girl onto the bed, Kagome places her hand onto the bracelet. "Somehow the bracelet is reacting to an outside source." She said to him. "Do you think that the Tetsusaiga could help?" She asks quickly.

Thinking that it's a good idea, Inuyasha heads into the master bedroom and goes under the bed to find the box he put his sword in. 'Help us, Tetsusaiga.' He begs in his mind, the sword pulsates back. Inuyasha gets back into Moroha's bedroom and places the sword's handle into Moroha's open hand. Upon intact, the Tetsusaiga pulsates violently but not shocking the girl. Larkspur

"What's going on with the Tetsusaiga." Kagome asks him. Inuyasha narrows his eyes a little. "The sword is trying to pin point the outside source and push it out of Moroha's body." He explains to his wife.

"Do you think that the boy who died is trying to take control of Moroha's mind?" Kagome asks him as she witness the scene with him.

"I don't know, Kagome. For now, the Tetsusaiga must find that source and get it out of her as soon as possible." Inuyasha answers in an unsure tone. He just can't think of anything else of how to take care of this issue that is endangering Moroha's life.

Setsuna calmly looks after Towa. Rin and Jaken told her to do so because of a certain bond they share. Not that it would matter to Setsuna. Sesshomaru enters the room. "What's the update?" He asks in his usual stoic tone.

"None. One second she was doing find with her research project and then all of a sudden she started screaming while holding her head." Setsuna answers him. Sesshomaru isn't usually the one who would show and sympathy or empathy for that matter, even if it has to include himself or the family. "Do you think the Tenseiga could help out?" Setsuna asks with an idea.

"You know that Tenseiga is meant to revive people back from the dead once." Sesshomaru said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Yes. I know. I mean if the sword could contact the lost soul or some being from the other world." She explains a bit more specifically.

"I'll go retrieve it is." Sesshomaru turns and leaves the room. Setsuna sighs. 'at least he could do is agree.' She thought to herself as she resumes her duty to watch Towa.
