Erin allowed Kelly to escort her into her and Soifon's apartment and to assist her in sitting down on the couch. 'Are you certain that you will be fine?' Kelly inquired, expressing his reluctance to leave her alone if she were not. 'Yes, I am fine,' Erin replied, resting against the couch and closing her eyes.

'But thank you for not giving up on me,' she added, still feeling disheartened by Voight and the rest of her team's decision to give up so quickly. Kelly nodded and gently tapped her head.

'I am confident that the others have not entirely abandoned you or Soifon,' he reassured, wanting to dispel any notion that it was solely his support.

Erin sighed and agreed, 'I understand; it must be the pregnancy hormones,' as she sat up on the couch. 'I acknowledge that they have been working diligently, but it has been a month since Soifon was kidnapped,' she lamented.

Kelly nodded in understanding. 'I understand, but we will eventually locate her,' he stated. Just as he spoke those words, Erin's phone rang, prompting her to pick up and answer, 'Hello?'

"Erin, please report to the district," Voight instructed with a tone that conveyed a sense of relief, piquing Erin's interest. "Have you made find something?" she inquired optimistically. "You will find out once you arrive," Voight replied before abruptly ending the call, preventing Erin from responding.

Erin raised an eyebrow and, turning to Kelly, remarked, "It seems we are returning to the district as Hank mentioned they have made progress." She stood up from the couch to retrieve her keys.

Kelly rose from the couch with a grin, stating, "I told you they were persistent." As they exited the apartment, both of them were eager to discover what Voight had uncovered or if Soifon had escaped Ace and returned to the district.

( At The District)

Upon securing transportation, Soifon successfully reached the district after elucidating her situation to the bewildered couple who kindly provided her with a ride.

Once there, the raven-haired woman proceeded to detail the events to Voight and the others, recounting her escape while grappling with feelings of culpability regarding Jack's fate.

Despite acknowledging her lack of remorse considering his past actions, she was still haunted by uncertainties. Jay inquired about Ace's well-being, to which Soifon confirmed his demise, attributing it to Jack's destructive actions.

Expressing indifference towards Jack's fate, she emphasized her determination to move forward. Voight, recognizing her physical state devoid of significant injuries besides the gunshot wound, offered words of assurance and support.

Upon receiving the summons from Voight to ascend to the district, Soifon nodded in agreement and directed her gaze towards the stairs, anticipating Erin's arrival. She was eager to reunite with her girlfriend and relieved that the looming threat of a potential abductor had dissipated.

An hour later, Soifon's face lit up with a smile as Kelly and Erin ascended the stairs and entered the bullpen. Erin, noticing the elation on Platt's face, followed Kelly into the bullpen, albeit feeling bewildered by the circumstances.

Directed by the desk sergeant to go upstairs, Erin made her way into the bullpen where she was momentarily taken aback upon seeing Soifon standing by her desk. The sight was almost surreal to her, prompting her to briefly close her eyes before confirming that the Raven-haired woman was indeed present.

Erin inquired as she approached Soifon, noticing the smile on her face, 'Soifon?"

"it's me, Erin,' Soifon replied, stepping away from the desk and walking towards her surprised girlfriend. 'How did you manage to escape? What happened to Ace and Jack?' Erin inquired.

Soifon chuckled at Erin's barrage of questions and suggested, 'Let's halt the questioning, and I will elaborate on everything,' she said, embracing the astonished brunette who reciprocated the hug. 'From now on, everything will be fine,' Soifon reassured Erin after explaining the situation.

'Are you certain Ace is dead?' Erin inquired, gazing into Soifon's deep blue eyes. 'Yes, I am certain,' Soifon affirmed with a smile. Erin heaved a sigh of relief and buried her face in Soifon's chest, expressing, 'Thank goodness. I don't know what I would do if Ace were still alive, and I am indifferent towards Jack's fate, even though he aided Ace.' She stated.

Soifon affirmed with a nod as she gently kissed Erin's head, declaring, 'I assure you that nothing will come between us again, not even a deceased man.' She stated, 'You are stuck with me.'

Erin smiled and reciprocated, adding, 'The same goes for you.' The jovial atmosphere was interrupted by Ashley's suggestion of celebrating at Molly's, to which Soifon responded with a chuckle, 'I suppose we should, but let's remember that Erin cannot consume alcohol.'

She then placed her hand on Erin's stomach, prompting Erin to pout, 'Yes, please spare me the reminder.' This lighthearted exchange evoked laughter from everyone present.

( At Molly's)

Beside Erin, Soifon sat while she observed Erin sipping on a root beer provided by Hermann. Soifon also ordered the same drink, as she was not accustomed to consuming alcohol.

'This is enjoyable, even if I cannot have a regular beer,' Erin remarked, leading to laughter from Soifon and Hermann. 'Once the twins are born, you will be able to have some beer,' the former firefighter stated with a smile. Soifon and Erin agreed, sharing laughs.

'True, and don't worry, Ash cannot have beer either,' Antonio mentioned as he approached them with Ashley. Ashley concurred, 'True, but it's quite refreshing simply drinking soda,' she remarked.

" Antonio asked me to marry him,' Ashley exclaimed, prompting smiles from both Soifon and Erin.

Erin turned to Antonio and playfully remarked, 'About time, Tony,' prompting the second in command to chuckle.

'Hey, I'm not the only one; you two should consider getting married soon too,' Antonio teasingly added. Soifon couldn't help but laugh at the blush creeping across Erin's face.

'I don't know, can Soifon handle Erin?' Kelly joked, provoking Erin to lightly hit him. 'Of course she can,' Erin reassured.

The group shared a laugh at their interactions. 'Whatever the future holds, we will stay together, married or not,' Soifon declared as she embraced Erin.

'I'm content with how things are now.' Erin smiled in agreement and added, 'If we do decide to get married, it would be a momentous occasion, rivaling the birth of our twins.' With that, everyone raised their glasses for a toast.
