I'm no detective or mystery solver but there are times I am whenever I gather facts and foreshadows from the Miraculous show but there are times I get it wrong or most of them right. The difference is that when it comes to Mystery Inc unmasking the suspect, the clues that connect to the suspect can sometimes have a misdirection or what I miss. My co-writer and I will do our best to make this mystery more unpredictable without leaving any easy hints.
The next day, Ladybug and Cat Noir came to City Hall to speak with the new mayor Miss Bustier about the last night's incident that ruined the Hex Girls' concert near Notre Dame.
"I really thought Monarch was truly gone but his spirit seems to never rest in peace," Miss Bustier said.
"Don't believe those ghost stories, Mayor Bustier. Ghosts aren't real" Ladybug said.
"Well, everyone looked convinced how scary it was last night," Cat Noir said.
"The evil laugh we both remember when Monarch was alive? Yeah, I hardly believe it's his ghost beyond the grave" Ladybug said.
"Or maybe an Akuma to bring the dead back to life from its grave" Cat Noir playing the spooky warbling music from his phone staff.
"It's like necro-magic, Kitty," Ladybug said.
"Whatever it is, it could be a cruel prank from someone who either hates the Hex Girls or Paris" Cat Noir said.
"Maybe so," Ladybug said.
"It could be anything than the old fashioned" Thorn and her girls came into the office.
"It's the Hex Girls," Cat Noir noticed.
"Yeah, and we called our friends but one of those two are….scaredy cats," Thorn said.
"And when they get here, I suggest lots and lots of buffet," Dusk said.
"Uhhh….why?" The heroes asked in unison.
"You don't wanna know," Luna said, knowing the skinny man and dog digest fast in seconds when eating.
"Right," Ladybug and Cat Noir shrugged.
"Don't worry; they have always solved mysteries really well for years. They even saved our lives before" Thorn said.
"Such as?" Ladybug asked.
"Against the ghost of Sarah Ravencroft and her descendant Ben. The fake vampires in Australia and Transylvania" Luna said.
"That's incredible," Cat Noir said.
"But you say your friends only end up with bad guys in masks and costumes?" Ladybug asked.
"Yes, but the ghost of Sarah Ravenscroft was in fact real" Thorn said.
"Spooky" Cat Noir said, noticing the waitresses brought in food and set them all on the table, "Then again, it's like meeting these mystery solvers are gonna be very hungry from a long road trip"
"Yeah, road trips must be boring at times," Ladybug said.
"I wouldn't be surprised, kitty boy. But I admit, I remember those two can't resist food when they see one. The other three are as calm like bats on ceilings" Thorn said.
"And keep this close with you. They'll come in handy in case one of those two chicken out" Thorn hands the box of Scooby Snacks to Ladybug.
"Scooby snacks?" Ladybug read the label.

A while later, the Mystery Machine van arrived in Paris, passing by the bakery which made Scooby and Shaggy wanna stop there but Fred urged them to focus on one thing only instead of food.
"The Hex Girls want us to meet them at City Hall, guys. I'm sure they'll have food for you two" Fred said.
"Oh! Even better!" Shaggy said in excitement.
"Easy guys," Daphne said.
"Remember, the mayor's gonna be there," Velma said.
"And the superheroes too. My gosh, their suits are so incredible!" Daphne said.
"Yeah, I just hope Scooby won't go crazy seeing Cat Noir. Right, Scooby?" Shaggy asked Scooby.
"What do you mean, Raggy?" Scooby asked.
"Well, like he's dressed like a cat" Shaggy pointed out.
"Like, you always chase cats when you see one" Shaggy reminded him.
"Reah" Scooby Doo nodded.
"Here we are, gang. The city hall. A few months ago, after its revolution against the bratty mayor, Paris now has a kind mayor" Fred said as he parked the van.
"And her banishment from Paris" Daphne added.
"Yup, and this mayor is a woman this time," Fred said.
"Halt, do you have an appointment?" Roger forbids them from coming in.
"Yes, officer. We're supposed to meet the new mayor today" Fred said.
"And the Hex Girls told us to meet them there too," Daphne said.
Officer Roger checked the invitation, "Well, it must be you five then"
The Mystery gang then followed him inside, "Yes, we don't get many mystery solvers around but some of us heard about your mystery stories for years" Officer Roger said.
"That's right. All over the world" Fred said.
"And we always unmask phony ghouls and monsters. Nothing similar like the superheroes unmasking akumas" Velma said.
"Yes, but totally different than that. Ah, here we are. Mayor Bustier's office" Officer Roger led them there.
"Ah, welcome Mystery Inc" Miss Bustier greeted them.
"Hey, gang. Glad you can make it here" Thorn said.
"It's so good to see you three again" Daphne smiled.
Scooby and Shaggy were too focused on the food that Ladybug and Cat Noir were enjoying until these fast hungry eaters cartoonishly and rapidly piled up all the food in their hands while balancing them.
"What the?" Ladybug moved out of the way with Cat Noir.
"Holy moley!" Cat Noir exclaimed.
Never in a million years have they seen a lanky man and a dog eat in seconds without taking a breather. It was like they had competed in all eating contests without hurling or any health problems.
"I suppose that's what the Hex Girls meant, milady," Cat Noir said, a little impressed but nervous to see them eat that much food instead of going it to waste.
"As if they got high metabolism," Ladybug said.
"But the dog seems he can eat anything besides dog food. Very unusual" Cat Noir said.
"Agreed, Kitty," Ladybug said.
As soon as Shaggy and Scooby finished eating, their bellies were big from all the food they ate. Miss Bustier continues explaining about last night's incident at the Hex Girls' concert.
"Two ghosts of the late Gabriel Agreste and Monarch appeared at the same time?" Velma asked.
"Yes, during the Hex Girls concert, they suddenly appeared," Miss Bustier said.
"Gh-Gh-Ghosts?!" Scooby and Shaggy dog-pile phobia on Ladybug and Cat Noir in fright.
Ladybug caught Scooby in her arms while Cat Noir did the same with Shaggy.
"Agh! Jeez!" Ladybug didn't realize how their weight was gained by that food.
"I'm no scaredy cat but you and that dog are definitely not a fan of ghosts" Cat Noir strained from holding Shaggy in his arms.
"It's the worst we know!" Shaggy said.
They both dropped them on the floor to adjust their backs and shoulders.
"Yes, last night our concert was a blast until these ghosts scared the audience away. Smoke, yes. But no mirrors this time" Thorn said.
"It looks like we got another mystery to solve," Fred said.
"Mystery is always a magnet for you," Thorn said.
"And the mystery is what makes us mystery solvers," Velma said.
"We could be some help to you," Cat Noir said.
"Ladybug and Cat Noir. Wow, you changed your suits" Daphne noticed their upgrades.
"Thanks. Well, there are minor differences on mine" Cat Noir said.
"And you Ladybug are the leader and the expert in solving solutions?" Fred asked.
"Yeah, my lucky charms give clues of what I should use them for, even if they look unreliable," Ladybug said.
"Like using shampoo, chocolate bar, and so forth," Cat Noir said.
"And the food?" Shaggy asked.
"Not often that happens but I outsmarted the akuma Chameleon with a clam," Ladybug said.
"I wasn't there because she put me in a Sleeping Beauty spell and copied my body and looks" Cat Noir pouted.
"I knew you wouldn't go rogue like that," Ladybug said.
"I had to save you, milady. It's what I do" Cat Noir said.
"Yeah. But since before and after Monarch got defeated, Lila Rossi has mysteriously vanished" Ladybug said.
"Lila Rossi? As in the former co-model of the Gabriel brand?" Velma asked.
"Yeah. Ever since Lila tried to frame Marinette at school again, Marinette and Sabrina exposed Lila for good. Believe me, Lila was a pathological liar who hated me so much. She's very talented to pathologically lie to anyone for her personal gain and attention but also hurt anyone who goes against her" Ladybug explained about the liar.
"I realized she was one when she distracted me from helping Ladybug," Cat Noir said.
"What's a pathological liar?" Shaggy asked.
"It's a chronic behavior characterized by the habitual or compulsive tendency to lie," Velma said.
"Okay," Shaggy replied.
"I would like to find out more about Lila but the two ghosts are our first priority," Velma said.
"And the only place is where it all started last night," Fred said.
"Let's go there," Ladybug said.
