The next day, we were getting ready heading out to the RV and head for Kentucky after we have a breakfast. We're going to be there for three days while Logan and his family will be there for two weeks. I'm looking forward seeing Lewis.

"We'll be going straight through and we'll be in Louisville tonight," said Richard.

On the way to the RV, I noticed something was wrong with Mary Anne. I know she'd be concerned about me if that was me. That's why I love having a stepsister. We talk about everything.

"Is Mary Anne okay?" asked Kayla.

"I just noticed that, too," I said.

"I think we should go see her," said Marci.

"I agree," said Patti.

We walked to catch up with her.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm doing okay, I guess," said Mary Anne.

"I knew Jenny caused it for you to feel this way," said Kayla.

"I thought about that, too," said Mary Anne.

"What she said about you was wrong," said Marci.

"Tell me about it. It still bothers me," said Mary Anne. "Glad Dad was nearby. She did not know he was around when he heard that."

"We saw that," said Kathi.

"She deserved to be lectured by him," said Patti.

"It's kind of odd that I couldn't wait to leave today," said Mary Anne.

"No, you had a rough day yesterday," I said around my arm around her.

"I'm just glad that she is banned to have anything to do with me," said Mary Anne.

"Good," said Kathi.

"I'm also glad it's over," said Mary Anne.

"You have us," said Kayla.

"Including me," said Carlos.

"Thanks, guys," said Mary Anne.

When we went in the RV, Mary Anne to go lie down.

"Something else is wrong," I said.

"She looks pale," said Carlos.

"I should tell Richard," I said.

"I think Kristy already did while he and Mr. Thomas are checking out on their way here," said Kathi.

When Richard came in, I went to tell him.

"Kristy mentioned something was wrong. I was just getting ready to go see Mary Anne when I get in here. Patrick already left to get Gas before he hits the highway," said Richard. "Where is she anyway?"

"She went to go lie down," I said.

"I wondered if Jenny caused it," said Kayla.

"That's what I'm wondering," said Richard.

Richard went over to see Mary Anne.

"Are you feeling alright?" asked Richard.

"I'm starting to get a headache," said Mary Anne.

"I knew something was wrong," I said.

"I never had one before," said Mary Anne. "What should I take?"

"When I get them, I take Aleve. That always helps," said Kaylee.

"We do have a bottle in the medicine cabinet. Do you mind getting one for her?" asked Richard.

"Sure," said Kaylee as she left to get Aleve and came back with a glass of water.

"Thanks," said Mary Anne.

"I'll let you get some rest," said Richard.

"I plan to do that before we stop for lunch," said Mary Anne.

"Should I leave the bottle nearby in case she needs another one?" asked Kaylee.

"That would be fine," said Richard.

When we took off, Mary Anne had just fallen asleep. By the time we stopped at Burger King for lunch an hour later, she did not get up.

"She probably still has a headache," I said.

"You're probably right. I'll just let her sleep," whispered Richard. "We're planning to eat here."

While we were in Burger King, we joined the rest in the dining room.

"How's Mary Anne?" asked Kristy.

"She's got a headache," I said.

"I thought so. I did notice that," said Kristy.

"This is her first one," said Kayla.

"Oh, really?" asked Mallory.

"I know Jenny made her feel that way," said Stacey.

"We knew what it was," said Kayla.

"Is she starting to regret making that choice?" asked Claudia.

"I don't think so. She was glad it was over," said Kayla.

"Of course, I'd be glad, too," said Kristy.

"I'm sure she'll be fine by the time we get to Louisville," said Marci.

"I think so, too," said Patti.

"She didn't get up when we stop," said Carlos.

"She's sleeping and Richard didn't want to wake her up," I said.

When we left, Carlos and I decide to join Kristy's group to let Mary Anne rest.

"Can I go join?" asked April.

"Sure, the more the merrier," said Claudia.

"Do you want the rest of us to stay with you in case you need us while you're driving?" asked Kayla.

"I think so," said Richard.

Before Richard started driving, he said, "I'm going to check on Mary Anne for a moment."

"Okay," said Marci.

Mary Anne was still asleep when he went go feel her head.

"She doesn't have a fever, which is a good sign," said Richard.

"We can keep on her," said Kayla.

"Oh, good. Thank you," said Richard.

That night, we are already in Kentucky.

"We're almost in Louisville," said Mr. Thomas.

"Already?" I asked.

That was when we pulled into the Brunos' driveway. Lewis and Logan were outside to greet us. I came out to see Lewis.

"Hi," I said.

"Hi," said Lewis.

"We're getting ready to make smores out back," said Robert.

"Would you like to join us?" asked Mrs. Bruno.

Mary Anne came out.

"Do you mind waiting for until tomorrow? I had just gotten over a headache. My dad wants me to take it easy," said Mary Anne.

"Sure. We don't mind," said Miranda.

"I can take you guys to the guestrooms where you guys are staying," said Lewis.

Their house is like a family owed bed and breakfast suite, so they allow us to stay there for free instead of staying at the hotel, which is nice.

Kayla came out with the suitcases. "I offered to carry her suitcase, too."

"Okay, good," said Lewis.

Mary Anne came out and they brought us inside to the guest rooms.

"Here we are," said Logan.

"We have loads of rooms in three to four rooms, so it would be divided," said Lewis.

Mary Anne and I are allowed to be with our boyfriends. She went to bed early to make sure that her headache is gone. The rest of us went to bed an hour later.
