-Itachi-
.
Itachi is considered by many to be a genius. And, as a genius, Itachi knows how to recognize and take advantage of an opportunity. Just about everyone who knows what actually happened to the Kyuubi has figured out exactly who "Fuzzy" is. And because Fuzzy has so clearly been more than willing to give out advice to Itachi's little brother, Itachi would be a fool not to at least try to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from the literal Kyuubi, he picks a Saturday when he knows Naruto has no school or projects (not that he'd actually do his schoolwork anyway) and asks him for some of Fuzzy's advice first thing in the morning. And, luckily, Naruto (and Fuzzy) are more than happy to spend hours lecturing Itachi on all sorts of things.
"Do you know how impractical ninja are? Like, cloaks and flowing hair are cool and all, but it's really just extra weight to mess with your movements and something for your opponents to grab! Unless you've got an actual purpose for it, or you're just good enough to compensate, just don't wear a cloak! And sandals! Shinobi are supposed to be all smart and efficient and stuff, so why do they wear open-toed sandals, of all things! Wear boots or something!"
Naruto paused for a minute. He had been alternating with Fuzzy so far. Listen to Fuzzy rant for a few minutes, translate the rant into Naruto speak, let Itachi think about it while Naruto listens to Fuzzy's next rant, and keep going. They'd been jumping all over the place to all sorts of topics for the last half hour.
"So, you know how the teachers always say that information is the most important stuff ever? Why do we focus so much on getting strong enough to win the fight, then? Most ninja, or at least the ones who do infiltration or information missions of any kind should focus only on getting strong enough to escape. Get what you need, escape, try to be sneaky so no one knows you took your information, and then bring it to someone who can do something. That's kind of the point of recon, isn't it? Actually, why don't people use the Transformation Jutsu more often? Sure, it's a pretty basic technique, but isn't that the whole point? I think a lot of people forget about it because literally everyone learns it before they graduate the Academy, but isn't there a reason it's so well-known? It uses basically no chakra, and if you're careful about it you can get into a whole ton of places undetected. I should know, I do it all the time."
Itachi's pretty sure that Naruto uses a different variation of the Transformation technique that he invented himself, but the point does still work. Naruto paused again to listen to another topic change from Fuzzy.
"Oh! Most Uchiha are fire-type, and so are you, right? But a lot of people don't actually think about all the different applications of fire in general. Think about a real fire. Like, what's the difference between burning paper and wood? Or gunpowder? Try burning gunpowder in open air. It burns pretty fast, but it's only really explode-y if you put it in a tight container and then burn it. So you can just let your chakra flow as it pleases, like it's in open air, if you want a steady stream of fire, but try compressing and containing it and it'll get all explode-y, like gunpowder! And look at all the science of fire itself. Like, did you know that only the outside of the fire is actually burning? The inside of it is already burnt up, so it's not burning on the inside! But a lot of people think the whole fire is burning all the time, so they waste a bunch of chakra by forcing fire to burn where it doesn't naturally. So you can save a ton of energy by only making the outside burn, like it wants to!"
They proceeded to spend the whole Saturday just going through a myriad of topics like those, and testing some of them out in an Uchiha training ground. It actually became a routine for them, to spend Saturdays working through a bunch of Fuzzy's lectures and ideas. They started inviting Sasuke and Shisui along a few weeks later, and then Fugaku showed up at a Saturday practice one day and started spreading the word to all the talented ninja in the clan (which was a lot). Eventually shinobi outside of the Uchiha clan started to notice and show up, to the point where Naruto was holding unofficial Saturday classes for shinobi. This definitely did not stroke Fuzzy's ego at all.

-Mikoto-
.
Mikoto was pleasantly surprised when Naruto mentioned that he actually went to the Academy today at dinner. Although apparently he didn't go to any classes. He was going to scope out the classrooms? Seems he skipped ahead in his story a bit. Mikoto politely stopped him and asked why he was scoping out the classrooms. Naruto was more than happy to elaborate.
"Jiji told me he was gonna pay me for teaching all his ninja! But he said if he was gonna pay me, I should have a spot where I usually do my teaching and he told me I could pick out a classroom! But I don't really like the classrooms a whole lot. Me and Fuzzy both like to be outside, you know? And it's annoying to be inside because you have to be careful not to mess the room up, which makes demonstrations and experiments really suck and... "
Sasuke chose that moment to butt in irritably.
"Just ask the Hokage if you can use a training ground instead, idiot."
Naruto stuck out his tongue at Sasuke. Mikoto reprimanded them both. But it seems that Naruto took that advice, because next Saturday there was a training ground reserved for him and whichever ninja showed up for his class. Although the next week, Naruto told Mikoto that the Hokage had offered to let him graduate the Academy early because he was teaching jounin already, but Naruto refused because he "likes messing with the teachers, and it's not like I need money from missions, you know!".
Honestly, that's fair enough. Better not to send Naruto out into the ninja world to make him even more messed up in the head until he's older anyway.
