The next morning Izuku hands Nurse Joy his room key before walking out of the Pokémon Center. Over the next few days Izuku trains Joltik and Litwick with the tips his parents gave him to improve their speed and accuracy. As Izuku leaves the campsite on his third day of travel he thinks about the next gym and that he needs to catch another Pokémon or two before then. Thinking about it, the only Pokémon he wants around here he could probably find is a Trubbish. Walking along the path he is challenged by many trainers with him battling with Joltik and Litwick to get more experience with their new moves. "I should also look for a flying type Pokemon but I don't want Pidove.
They usually don't have much in the move pool and are commonplace," Izuku mutters to himself right as he gets to the edge of Pinwheel forest. Joltik jumps off his hat and scurries towards the bushes, chirping at Izuku and pointing with a front leg. Walking over, "Is there something wrong Joltik?" Joltik nods, "Jol tik tik." "Ok well Joltik lead the way down this track, but let's be careful we don't want to get over our heads or get lost," Izuku says while looking into the dense forest and putting the egg in his bag. Joltik chirps before scurrying into the trees with Izuku following close behind, releasing Litwick along the way. As they travel further in Izuku starts hearing cries of different Pokémon, Once they reach an edge of a clearing by a river, Izuku decides to stay out of sight. He peers into the clearing from behind a tree only to gasp in surprise. For in the clearing are different species of Pokémon in cages, some even looking hurt or completely terrified. "Quiet down or else," A tall man with spiky yellow hair yells at a Pokémon while hitting a cage. " Liepard lie," a Liepard hisses threateningly beside the man while looking around. "Now all I need to do is find buyers for these Pokémon we took from Alola and we will be living the dream," the man says while petting Liepard who purrs.
Izuku covers his mouth in shock before slowly backing away making sure not to make a sound. After walking back a few minutes Izuku turns to Joltik and Litwick before saying, "I have to do something to help those Pokémon and stop that poacher, are you two with me." Joltik and Litwick nod. "Okay we're going to need a plan, give me a minute," Izuku says before starting to think of different strategies and muttering them out so quickly even his Pokémon couldn't keep up. After a few minutes Izuku stops realizing the best plan to stop the poacher telling Joltik and Litwick the plan.
Time Skip
Izuku is panting while laying on the ground with Litwick and Joltik after the tough battle with the poacher, the Pokémon he saved from being attacked by Liepard chittering around them. Officer Jenny and other officers and medics are gathering the evidence and corralling all the Pokémon. " Izuku Kandó we are going to need to contact your parents to let them know that you helped bring in a dangerous criminal and get their permission to use your statement. I would also like the medics to take a look at where that Liepard hit you with its claws. I need to take this little guy with the others so they can go home," Officer Jenny says while looking at the little gray and gold scaled dragon.
Izuku sits up so suddenly that a loose Pokéball rolls out of his pocket onto the ground. The little Pokémon nudges it while cry's out a"Jangmo-o mo-o jang." "What are you doing little one we need to get you back to Alola," Officer Jenny says while leaning down to pick Jangmo-o up only for Jangmo-o to dodge out of the way shaking it head no. Then it taps the Pokéball being sucked into the Pokéball with a smile, after a moment the Pokéball lets out a ding noise of successful capture. Picking up the Pokéball Izuku turns to Officer Jenny, " Am I going to get into trouble for this?" "No, that little Pokémon decided on its own who it wants as its trainer. I'm not going to distress it by taking it away from you," Officer Jenny smiles while looking at Izuku. Izuku nods smiling before standing, saying, "Well I need to get back on the track to Castella City. I will just get out of your way then." Izuku returns both of his tired Pokémon before quickly making an escape so that he doesn't have to tell his dad and papa about this incident.
A phone ringing is heard through the house Ingo yells, " I got it Emmet." Ingo walks into the living room answering the phone. Officer Jenny appears on the screen looking sheepish; she asks, " Are you Izuku Kandó's parents?" "Yes me and my brother Emmet, is Izuku alright? Let me get him real quick," Ingo says before walking into the office and getting Emmet to follow they both sit down. "Now my brother asked, is Izuku alright?" Emmet states with a strained smile. "Well yes he seemed alright when we talked to him after he stopped a poacher and was attacked by the poacher's Liepard," Officer Jenny says.
Ingo and Emmet blink before they yell so loud the whole city heard, " IZUKU DID WHAT!" Officer Jenny flinches at the volume before saying, "Yes I am just calling to let you know that he helped stop a dangerous criminal. As well as needing your approval to use his statement and he left before the medics could take a look at him." They quickly agree and answer a few more questions before hanging up. Ingo turns to Emmet saying, " He is in so much trouble." "Indeed he is in verrry big trouble," Emmett says angrily. They talk about what punishment they should give when they talk to Izuku again. Going back and forth until they agree on a punishment for him not telling them and not following all safety checks.
