Reiko dusted off her kimono.

She heard the sound of crying, so she left her sister and Tanjiro behind and went after the source of the noise. She knew her sister would be fine, and Kuri trusted her even when she went off alone. Which was often.

Zenitsu was hiding, panting and frightened.

"Are you okay?" Reiko came over.

Zenitsu shuddered. "Th-there's no way I-I can do th-this I'm weak I'm weak, and omg a pretty girl seeing me look so SO UNCOOL!"

Reiko leaned down. "I'm Reiko."

Zenitsu trembled. "Zenitsu."

"Well, Zenitsu." Reiko chuckled a bit. "You made it this far. You can do it. I believe in you."

"You…think so?" Zenitsu brightened. "You must be in love with me! Oh don't say it, I know you fell at first sight! Don't worry, I'll become a demon slayer and protect our whirlwind romance!" Zenitsu laughed nervously.

"I uh…I mean..you're really cute and all but I dont know about love just yet. How bout this…you make it past the trial and I'll allow one date." Reiko smiled gently.

"A DATE!" Zenitsu jumped in the air. "I knew it! True love" Zenitsu clenched fist. "Alright! Im pumped! Bring on the d-d-demons!"

Reiko laughed a bit.

Zenitsu charged into the forest.

"Please be careful!" Reiko called.

"Oh your worried! Come with me then! I'll fight in your name!" Called Zenitsu.

Zenitsu suddenly stopped and shuddered. "Ughhh it sounds sooo scaaaary."

Reiko's hidden fox ears twitched. "You can hear it better than me." She lied. "But I'll help okay?"

At that moment Zenitsu saw a demon. "Aaaaaugh!" He passed out.

"Hey!" Reiko was worried but suddenly stopped, feeling the electricity in the air.

Zenitsu got up, in a fighting stance. Reiko could sense that he was still unconscious, but…different.

"Thunder breathing. First form." Zenitsu attacked. "Thunder clap and flash!"

Reiko eyes widened in awe.

Zenitsu attacked again, protecting Reiko instinctively.

When the demon was dead, Zenitsu woke up. "uh? Wha? Waaaaah! A d-d-demon head!"

"That's fucking creepy." Reiko grinned and hugged him tight.

"Wowwwe you killed all these demons?!"

"You helped too!" Reiko attempted to inform him.

"Naw I was passed out!" Zenitsu said as if it was obvious.

Reiko groaned. It WAS obvious, he just didn't see it.

"Keep thinking that." Reiko grinned.

Suddenly there was a strange sounding scream.

Zenitsu froze and turned in that direction, saying blankly. "This way…we have to go this way…"

"Zenchi? are you okay?!" Reiko asked.

As they moved, Reiko used her Naginata and Lotus Breathing, to keep them protected.

Zenitsu didn't seem to notice. He shook his head. "I feel…strange. Calm."

Suddenly they burst through the wisteria blossoms and the spell was broken. The test was over.

"I can't believe I'm aliiiiive!" Zenitsu exclaimed.

He didn't seem to remember the strange sound and what it had done to him.

Reiko had her suspicions about her sisters Sixth Form, but said nothing.

"And I owe you a date!" She beamed at him.

"Reeeeeally?!" Zenitsu smiled really big.

"Yes really!" Reiko laughed.
