A/N: The finale of a one shot.

Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck

Chuck looked up as the door opened. He had just gotten out of the shower and was dressed for bed. It was only six in the evening, but the last two days had worn him out. A local hotel had over twenty computers that had visited . While he appreciated the business…he needed a break.

"You look rough," Sarah said, coming inside.

"You sweet talker, you," Chuck replied. She bent down, took his cheeks in her hands and gave him a soft kiss. She pulled away, Chuck's lips chasing her. "Come back," he whined.

"Oh, God, do you need a nap," Sarah told him.

"Jokes on you, just woke up from a four hour one," he told her. She put her coat on the dining table chair and studied him. "Did you have a nightmare?"

"Why would you ask that?" Chuck asked.
"You said you took a four hour nap, yet you look like hell," Sarah pointed out.

"I must say, your flirting game is on point," Chuck said grinning. Her face showed no humor. "Sarah, I told you about one nightmare I had…ONE and you won't let it go."

"It concerns me," Sarah admitted, shrugging, trying to fight the grin on her face.

"Sounds like someones being an overprotective girlfriend," Chuck said in a sing-song voice.

"I am not," Sarah corrected him. "I will give you I am a concerned research partner."

"Not too concerned, you haven't stayed here lately," Chuck pointed out.

"For all you know I was here last night," Sarah replied.

"Oh, so you slept in my button up shirt, in my bed, because it reminded you of….your research partner?" he asked. Her lips twitched trying to stop the smile.

"I mean, if I did…it was for research," Sarah told him.

"Sounds like a girlfriend missing her guy," Chuck told her.

She pushed away from the chair a grin on her face. "I knew this would happen," she said. "You would get confused, and then get greedy." She was walking past him, as she felt him jump up, and wrap his arms around her stomach. "I mean, that is such a boyfriend move right there."

He leaned forward, his lips beside her ear. "Would that be so bad?" he asked softly, watching her shiver. "Would that be so bad if I was your boyfriend?"

She spun in his arms, and wrapped hers around his neck. "It would just imply things," she said.

"What, that we've had sex…cause we have," Chuck pointed out.

Sarah shook her head. "Chuck, you don't have to be boyfriend and girlfriend to have sex."

"I'm aware," Chuck told her.

She slid out of his arms, and disappeared into his room. She came out a few minutes later, wearing one of his tee shirts, and a pair of his jogging pants. "Some might say stealing my clothes would be considered a girlfriend move," he pointed out.

She grinned at him as she sat on the couch, and he sat down beside her. "I could see where someone could draw that conclusion." She turned to him, still grinning. "And I need to reassure you, it's not you."

"That's not really reassuring," Chuck pointed out. "Also the fact I'm doing these mental gymnastics with you, is quite impressive given how tired I am."

"I swear, it's like you want me to move in with you and take care of you," Sarah said.

"That's not why I want you to move in with me," Chuck told her. His eyes went wide as he realized what he said.

"Hmmm," she said, studying him, the grin still on her face. "You had the nightmare again."

"I don't-"

"Don't lie to me, Chuck," Sarah said softly, but intensely.

"It's not a nightmare," Chuck insisted.

"Oh?" she replied, pulling back, and giving him a look. "You, being Simba, finding Timone and Pumba, who are CLEARLY Jeff and Lester-"

"I don't know if they're clearly Jeff and Lester," Chuck muttered.

Sarah was quiet for a moment, just looking at him. "You tell them your father is gone, and their advice is, Have you thought about not fucking worrying about it, and then sing a song," Sarah pointed out.

"You are both making a valid point, AND destroying the Lion King for me at the same time," Chuck muttered.

"I mean, it's clear those two are high in the movie from eating all the weird bugs. You know some cultures lick frogs to get high," Sarah continued.

"I don't think-"

"And Simba crashing down on those leaves and seeing his 'father'," Sarah said, using finger quotes. "He was tripping balls."

"And let me guess, because you are a pharmaceutical rep, you would know?" Chuck asked. Sarah just shrugged cutely. He couldn't help himself, and softly began to sing.

"Can't hide forever, can you?" Sarah asked. Chuck gave her a pointed look, and she realized what he had done. "Oh, you think you're clever, and have turned it back on me, do you?"

"Whatever do you mean?" Chuck asked, grinning at her.

"You think because I'm afraid of getting hurt, and not dating, and not labeling things, that I'm hiding?"

"I never said that," Chuck told her.
"You've implied it," Sarah pointed out.

"I miss you when you're not here," Chuck told her.

"I miss you too," Sarah told him.
"I love you, Sarah," Chuck told her.
"And I love you, Chuck," she said, softly stroking the side of his cheek.

"Wait…you do?" Chuck asked.

"Yeah," Sarah told him. "I've never met someone so selfless. Someone who makes me smile, and only wants the best for those he cares for. How the hell could I not love you?"

He sat there, stunned.

"What, do I have to make some grand gesture like moving in with my boyfriend to prove it?" She asked, grinning the whole while.

"Wait….what did you just say to me?" Chuck asked.

"I asked if I had to prove it to you by moving in," Sarah repeated.

"No, no, not the moving in part, the boyfriend part," Chuck told her.

"I didn't say that," Sarah said, an amused smile on her face.

He leaned over to her, his lips inches from her. "I love my girlfriend, Sarah Walker."

"And I love my boyfriend, Chuck Bartowski," Sarah said. He started to reply when there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it," she chirped gleefully, and hopped off of the couch and went to answer the door. "Ellie!" she said, opening the door, and giving her a hug. "Come in."

"How is he?" Ellie asked, entering the apartment and Sarah closing the door after she entered.

"My boyfriend?" Sarah asked, turning toward Chuck, missing the amused smile on Ellie's face. "Whiney," she said. She turned to Ellie. "You know how they are."

"I do," Ellie replied, commiserating with her.

"How have I been whiney?" Chuck asked.

"You're tired, you miss me, want me to move in, yada yada," Sarah said to him. Chuck couldn't help but laugh softly.

"So you haven't told your…boyfriend yet?" Ellie asked.

"She has a boyfriend?" Chuck asked.
Sarah rolled her eyes and turned to Ellie. "I swear, I don't know why I put up with him."

"I do," Ellie said.

"Yeah, so do I," Sarah begrudgingly admitted. "No, I haven't told him, would you like to?"

"I think you should, it's your-"

"Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" Chuck asked.
"Anderson got fired, and Sarah got a huge promotion," Ellie said. "Like…huge."

"Great," Chuck said.

"Enough that I could…buy a house…" Sarah said, swaying almost shyly. "I just…I just think I'd like someone to live there with me."

"How's Awesome gonna feel about Ellie living with you," Chuck teased.

"Chuck, don't be mean to your girlfriend," Ellie scolded him, grinning the whole time.

He sighed. "Sarah, can I move into the house with you?" Chuck asked.

"I don't know, are you ready for that kind of commitment?" Sarah asked. He gave her a flat look. "Chuck," she said in a serious tone. "Would you come look at a house with me, and if we like it, would you move in with me?"

"Are you serious?" he asked standing. "Of course."

"Just so you know, she came home to tell you-" Ellie began.

"Home?" Chuck asked, looking from Ellie to Sarah and back to Ellie.
"Yeah, she says wherever you are, its home," Ellie told him. "Anyway-"

"Anywhere I am is home?" Chuck asked Sarah.
"Yeah," she said softly. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug.

"She came home to tell you, but you were asleep and thought it would be alright to tell her best friend, who is your sister, that she loves you and want you to move in, and….you two aren't even listening, are you?" She shook her head, smiling at the two. "Research partners," she scoffed. She turned, and left, shutting the door behind her.
