12 - Two Days Until Christmas

Kagome stood in front of the mirror, holding up a dress she wanted to wear for Christmas—the day InuYasha had said he would be home. She was already sixteen and hoped he would notice as much. The thought made her cheeks flush, the reflection of their rosy color all too evident in the mirror. She let out a small sigh, not wanting InuYasha to realize how much she had been looking forward to his return since he had left to study abroad a few months ago.
She set the dress on the bed and picked up an outfit of a sweater and pants that flattered her figure. Deciding what to wear was proving difficult, and there were only two days left until Christmas.
