Although she had visions about this very scenario and the consequences, Kuri couldn't fathom a way out of this.
She supposed she could always fight.
So Kuri went along with Senku and Taiju to wake up Yuzuriha. She wasn't exactly shocked when the lions attacked and cornered them.
Kuri calmly aimed her arrow.
"Oh it'll be ok! Kuri's got a weapon!" Taiju exclaimed.
But Senku had a better grasp of the situation. He put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't strain yourself. You aren't skilled at close combat and you can't manage it with those arrows."
"I can handle it!" Kuri protested, taking out her knife and attacking.
A big blue-silver barrier covered the two men.
Senku groaned, frustrated. "What use is power when I can't use it to save us!"
"I think I have an idea." Taiju said. "We can wake Tsukasa, the strongest primate!"
Alarmed, Kuri cried. "No! I've got this."
Distracted, she was struck with the lion's claw. Instinctively Senku grabbed her and yanked her into the barrier.
"We're out of options. Taiju, do it."
Kuri's head lolled and she blacked out. Behind her eyes, all she saw was Senku's death.
