Trunks was stunned in stillness as he watched Pan transform into Super Saiyan, blowing into Akira's attack. Akira could have cared less and poured in more power. But it did no good as Pan blasted through the attack and landed a powerful punch on Akira's face. The force of the blow was so strong that she managed to knock Akira through the crumbling floor, and straight down to where the core of the colony was.
The colony's main core was made up of a large, circular-shaped red platform. And when Pan and Akira came crashing through, she slammed the Saiyan into the core, cracking it to pieces, and sending a chain reaction to many parts of the colony. The core exploded, leaving nothing but the platform, and everything around them started bursting into flames as well.
Akira laid unconcious on the platform, Pan's fist still in his face as she powered down, slumping down to her knees, and keeled over in exhaustion as everything blew up around her.
"Pan!"
She whipped her head up at the familiar voice and saw Trunks floating down to her. He held out his hand to her. "Come on!" he shouted, "We've got to get out of here before-"
"Waiigh!"
In a swift second, Pan was grabbed by the straps on her armor and carried off into the air by Yamura, making her grand escape.
"Hey!" Trunks cried, "Get back here!" He went to give chase, but nearly tripped over the unconcious Akira. For a moment, he debated if he should leave the little psycho behind, but as everything started exploding around him, the platform began giving out, and Trunks found himself scooping up the young Saiyan and taking off into the air the way Yamura left. Psycho or not, Trunks didn't have the heart to leave the poor kid behind. Unfortunately, he lost sight of where Yamura had taken Pan.
"Trunks!"
The purple-haired demi-Saiyan turned after hearing his best friend call out to him. Goten flew up to him, holding an unconcious Gohan on his back. "Did you see where Pan went off to?"
Trunks shook his head. "No good," he replied, "That alien woman escaped and took Pan with her."
"What?" Goten cried, "We've got to go after her or we'll lose Pan again!"
*KA-BLAM!*
The colony shook violently as more explosions rang out.
"Damn it!" Trunks cried, "We don't have time! We've got to get off this ship before we get blown to pieces!"
"Let me go! Let me go!" Pan squirmed wildly as Yamura kept a death grip on her arm. She had tried earlier to slip out of her armor, but upon noticing, Yamura took a harder hold on her.
"Why?!" Yamura screamed, "So you can be left behind to blow up with this entire space craft?"
"My dad and my friends are still back there!" Pan cried, "I have to help them!"
"This ship's about to go!" Yamura shouted back, "Unless you wanna get blown up with it, it's every man for themselves!"
"I can't just leave them!" Pan desperately tried pulling away, putting as much energy as she could into her ki and flying the opposite way.
In response, Yamura finally stopped, but grabbed even tighter on Pan's arm and pulled her violently close to her face. "For once in your life, stop being stupid!" she hissed, "You are NOT going to hold me back and get me killed on this God-forsaken deathtrap!"
Pan tightened her face… then reared back and slammed her foot into Yamura's gut. It didn't hurt her, but stunned her enough to finally let go of her arm.
"I'm not a cold-hearted murderer like you," Pan growled, "You may think I'm stupid, but I still love my family and friends. I would never leave them to die. I'm not running away anymore!"
"Pan, I swear, if you leave now, I am NOT coming back for you!"
Pan stared Yamura down, who in turn held her ground. She hasn't killed her yet, she wouldn't start now… Would she?
Pan decided to make it easier for her. "I'm sorry to break my promise," she murmured, "Good bye, Yamura." With that, she twisted around and shot off in the opposite direction.
Yamura watched in amazement just how stupid that brat could be… No wonder she had to be rescued all the time before! She was constantly doing stupid things!
A part of her, however, wanted to go after Pan…
No. She was right. Yamura was a cold hearted murderer. If Pan wanted to stay on this dying ship so badly, fine, it was her choice! She won't be rescued this time around!
"Sorry to break my promise too, kid," Yamura grumbled as she sped down the corridor to find her ship.
Finding Pan wasn't the problem. It was trying to avoid the collapsing walls and explosions from every side. Trunks and Goten were originally following the path of destruction Gohan had made earlier, but with everything falling apart, the original way became blocked and destroyed, forcing the two to take scenic routes that they weren't sure would lead them to a way out.
After navigating their maze of ruins, they found themselves in a larger hall which still held, but not for long. There were multiple hallways around them, and no clue which one to take.
"I say left!" Goten announced.
"Okay," said Trunks as he grabbed his arm, "We're going right then!"
"Hey!" Goten cried, "What's the deal?"
"Knowing you, if you think we should go left, then we're better off going right!"
"And what's THAT supposed to mean?"
"HEY YOU IDIOTS! Over here!"
Goten and Trunks whipped their heads towards the center hallway. "PAN!" they both cried in unison as the teen quarter-Saiyan waved them down.
"Quit wasting time and follow me!" Pan turned and was ready to burst down where she came from, when she suddenly felt her arm getting pulled.
"Wait, Pan!" Trunks cried as he pulled her back, "Stay close to us! Don't go wandering off again!"
"Do you even know where you're going?"
"Of course!" Goten responded, "We're pretty sure the hangar we came from down the left hallway."
"Which is why we're going right," Trunks demanded.
"Well you're both wrong!" said Pan as she pointed down the hallway she came from, "Our ship is THAT way! If we hurry, we can still catch up with Yamura."
"We aren't going ANYWHERE with that evil creature!" Trunks shouted.
"What choice do you have?" argued Pan.
As if to respond, the area around them exploded in a fiery blaze, taking out both tunnels that Goten and Trunks were planning to use.
"Well," Goten mused, "I guess we have no other choice but to follow you, Pan."
"About time!" said Pan as she turned around and blasted down the original hallway, "Let's go! Hurry!"
The colony was practically falling apart behind them, as if the destruction was chasing the three down the corridors. At this rate, it would be a miracle if they managed to reach the ship in time, and that was assuming it was still in one piece…
Just as they reached a familiar set of blast doors, the area in front of them exploded. The three were forced to halt and retreat, but only to see wreckage behind them.
Space Colony Androiss was on its last leg, and it seemed the heroes were doomed…
… when suddenly, the wall burst in front of them. Goten quickly grabbed Pan's arm and pulled her back as the three scrambled to get out of the way of a large, metal space ship that had slammed into the side of the wrecked colony, wedging itself between the safe area and the harsh vacuum of space itself. The main entry of the ship opened up, and through a loudspeaker, Yamura's voice rang out, "Get on! NOW!"
Pan didn't waste a second and charged inside Dondoro's ship. Not wanting to lose Pan, nor be stuck on a doomed space colony, Goten and Trunks quickly followed before the entryway was shut.
Once she was certain the others were on board, Yamura hit the ship's hyperdrive. The force was strong enough to free the ship from the side of the colony and shot off in an instant into space.
Throughout all the destruction, Dr. Meio still survived, but was trapped under the wreckage of what was once his lab. He heard the wild screams of his creations being freed and causing havoc.
'I may be a genius, but strength wise, I was no match for the mighty Saiyan…' he thought to himself, 'They have proven their worth indeed…'
He gave a deep sigh. 'At least I'll die with my beloved creations…'
And with that, the entire space colony exploded.
