It's been two days since Geoffrey's trial. Today, me, Sonic, Sally, Antoine, Bunnie,the Council of Acorn, King Nigel,Queen Alicia, Naugus, & Geoffreywere all standing in front of Castle Acorn. Elias had decided that, with everything going on in New Mobotropolis right now, it would be best if he & his family leave the city & go stay in Feral Forest for safety. They had all their things packed into the Mobo-Cruiser. Megan & baby Alexis were already inside & Sonic was talking to Elias. We were acting as escorts until they got to safety*
Sonic: C'mon, Noggy only almost stole your legacy and Kingdom from you. *I elbowed him for bringing that up* Ahem! You can still live here.
Elias: No, we can't. It's getting too dangerous here. When things calm down, we'll return. *whispering to Sonic* Especially, since this is Naugus we're talking about. With the Death Egg out there, you don't need further trouble at home.
Sonic*whispering* I know, I know. I understand what you're doing. I just wish you'd stick around.
thenthe Mobo-Cruiser was drove away. we all waved opened her holographic wristwatch as the Tornado flew above us, with Amy on the wing*
Sally: This is Sonic to the Tornado. You read me?
Tails*off-screen*Loud and clear.
Sonic: Then let's do it to it!
Antoine, Rotor, Sally, & I then got on our hover boards & we flew after the Mobo-Cruiser. Bunnie flew with us, using her rocket feet. Sonic was running. Just then, the Death Egg appeared in the sky.
Tails*off-screen*Heads up! Death Egg approaching at one o'clock high!
Amy*off-screen*How does he keep hiding that thing!?
Just then, it dropped a bunch of smaller eggs from the bottom. They opened & an army of Egg Pawns came out*
Sonic: Huh. Looks like Egg upgraded the ol' Egg Pawn design.*he dodged some lasers* Tails! Clear the way for the Cruiser! We'll handle the jokers on the ground!
Tails*off-screen*Roger that!
Sonic hit a few of them with a spin dash*
Sonic: All right, new Badniks! Lemme show you how this goes!See you guys show up, then I smash you to -*he dodged another laser* Whoa! Neat trick!
Tails fired missiles at the Egg Pawns, Amy smashed any that came close to the Tornado with her hammer, Rotor punched a few of them, Sally, Antoine & I slashed off their heads & arms, & Bunnie blasted some with her hand laser. When they were all destroyed, two new robots were launched from the Death Egg. One of them was Metal Sonic & the other was a robot that looked a lot like Sally, only with a blue vest, silver hands, a silver midsection with a black & red crystal or panel underneath her vest, black boots, black shoulder guards in place of the round brown shoulder guards, & blue legs. Her cheeks had silver disks & her hair had an extra pair of spikes on the sides (look up "Mecha Sally" on "Archie Sonic Online Wiki")
Sonic: What the - !?
Amy*off-screen*What is that!?
Tails*off-screen*That sicko made a Metal Sally!
The Metal Sally flew towards the Tornado*
Amy*off-screen*I . . . I . . .
Tails*off-screen*Mayday! Mayday! She's coming right for us!
Amy*off-screen*Hurry!
Laser swordscame out of her arms*
Metal Sally:MOVING TO ELIMINATE AIR SUPPORT FOR GROUND FORCES. CHILDREN DON'T BELONG ON THE BATTLEFIELD.
She the used her laser swords to slice the Tornado in half. Luckily, Tails & Amy survival & Tails caught Amy before the plane fell to the ground. Sonic started to zoom towards them*
Sonic: Look out, below! I'm coming to - GRK!
Suddenly, Metal Sonic grabbed him. But then Bunnie swooped in & grabbed the robot*
Bunnie: Ah got him, Sugar-Hog! I've tangled with tougher robots than this one!
Metal Sally went to
Sally: You want a challenge, then try me on for size!
Metal Sally:FINE. LET'S SEE WHO THE SUPERIOR ONE IS.
As Sally battled against her, Bunnie & Sonic were fighting Metal Sonic. The Death Egg fired lasers at the Mobo-Cruiser, but they all missed. Just then, Metal Sonic broke away from the fight,flew towards the Mobo-Cruiser, & latched on to the side*
Sally*off-screen*Sally to team! I'm tied up with Metal Sally! Somebody stop Metal Sonic from getting to the Cruiser!
Antoine, being the closest, flew towards the Mobo-Cruiser & grabbed Metal Sonic. As they wrestled, Metal Sonic's eyes started to glow red. Suddenly, it exploded right in front of Antoine. The blast sent him flying backwards & he bounced a little until he just lay on the ground, motionless*
Tails: Wha . . What happened? Did he . . .?
Amy: Antoine!?
Sonic: 'Twan!? 'Twan!?
Abigail*covering her mouth* No . . .No!
Bunnie just stood where she was, completely the smoke subsided, Metal Sally flew back to the Death Egg*
Mecha Sally: ORDER RECEIVED. RETURNING TO BASE.
As she flew away, we all surrounded Antoine, with tears in our eyes. Bunnie cradled him in her arms*
Bunnie: Antoine . . .! Antoine . . .!
Elias called Sonic & Sally on their holographic wristwatches*
Elias*off-screen*Please respond! Somebody! What happened? How is the Commander!?
Sonic: Hey, Elias? He's . . . He's . . . Listen. You're in the clear now. You . . . You just get going.
Elias*off-screen*But . . .!?
Sally: He made sure you could get away safety. Don't . . . Don't waste that . . .*she watched the Mobo-Cruiser disappear over the horizon* Be safe . . . Big brother. *she walked towards Bunnie*Bunnie . . .
Bunnie: No! I'm not letting go! I won't let him got!
Sonic: There's still time. He's breathing. I'm fast enough. I'll get him to Doctor Quack.
Bunnie: Doctor . . .? Right. Yes. Please. Oh, please. Hurry!
Sonic took Antoine in his arms & zoomed back to the city*
Tails: Save him, Sonic! Save him!
As Sonic zoomed away, I cried as Amy, Sally, & I hugged Bunnie*
Abigail*in her mind*First the Death Egg, now Antoine!Why do I even have these powers if Ican't I save my friends!? Why!?
Note: I wanted to change Antoine's fate, but then I realized that it was one of the things I can't change. No matter how much I want to. My stomach was in knots writing this chapter.
