It's been a few days since we left Soumerca. 'Today, wewere closing in on the Death Egg as it hovered over Feral Forest& dropped Egg Swatson was standing on the leftwing & Amy & I were on the right wing. Huck was on my shoulder*

Amy: Death Egg dead ahead!

Sonic: Sit still, Doc! We'll wrap this up once and for all. *suddenly, the Death Egg started to fly away from the village* Hey! What part of "sit still" don't you get?

Abigail: That's it? He drops a small invasion force and leaves?

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao?

T-Pup showed a holographic map with his eyes*

Tails: At its current trajectory, it looks like he'll be attacking New Mobotropolis again. Do you want me to keep following him?

Sonic: No way! Team Fighters is still about stopping Eggman's nonsense. The folks down there need us. Sally and the others will handle things back home. So put the Tornado in an autopilot holding pattern and let's do it!

Tails: You got it!

After he put the Tornado on autopilot, he took Amy's hand & flew out. T-Pup was right behind him. I got out my Extreme Gear & flew after them, with Huck on my shoulder*

Sonic: All right! Team Fighters! Let's show 'em how it's done!

Tails: C'mon, T-Pup!

Abigail: Let's rock and roll, Huck!

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!

We all landed right in the middle of the village as the civilians were running for their lives & Egg Swats were attacking. Nearby, we saw Metal Sally commanding the army*

Tails: There's Metal Sally! Looks like she's commanding the invasion!

Sonic: Yeah, but why? Feral Forest isn't exactly a cultural hub, y'know?

Amy: No, but it's where . . . Oh, my gosh!

Abigail: What?

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao?

Amy summoned her hammer*

Amy: This is where Elias and Meg moved to! Eggman's going to finish what he started and have Metal Sally kill Elias!

Tails: That'ssick!

Sonic: Nope. Not going to let that happen.*he ran up to Metal Sally* Yo, Metal Sal, you got a minute to rumble?

Metal Sally:LATER. SILVER SONIC . . . ENGAGE.

Suddenly, Silver Sonic came out of a building & attacked Sonic*

Sonic: Holy - ! *he started wrestling with the giant robot* HRRGH! Well. . . Welcome to the "Robot SonicsGetting Rebuilt All the Time Club", I guess . . .*turned to us* I'll handle the Jolly Grey Giant! You guys stop Metal Sally before before she gets to Elias!

We all saw her heading towards an undamaged house. Tails, Huck, & I ran around back only to find Elias climbing out the window behind a brownmale lynx with black streaks & blue eyeswearing a yellow toned visor,a black & yellow bodysuit, & claw-gauntlet gloves*

Abigail: Elias!

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!

Elias: Tails! Abigail! Huckleberry!

Larry: Whoops . . . Just my luck . . .

Leeta was right before them, wearing a green toned visor, a black & a green bodysuit*

Tails: Larry? Leeta? What are you doing here? What's with the uniforms?

Larry: Well, uh, see . . .

Elias kneeled down to Tails' height & out a hand on his shoulder*

Elias: Listen. I can't explain right now. I might never be able to. But for the good of my family - for all of New Mobotropolis - You all have to forget you saw us here.

Tails looked into his eyes intensely for a few minutes. I then puta hand on his other shoulder & shook my head. He then nodded & we ran back towards the front of the house while they ran the other way*

Tails: We'll cover for you. Get going.

We ran inside the house & found Amy fighting against Metal Sally*

Metal Sally: EXTRAPOLATING YOUR TRUE MOTIVE . . . WITH MY DESTRUCTION, YOU WOULD BE FREE TO COURT SONIC, CORRECT?

Amy blocked an attack from her laser sword*

Amy: Do think I'm that stupid? I know you're not the real Sally! I'm just here to stop you from giving my friend a bad name!

Metal Sally:WE WERE NEVER FR- ZRK!

Huck bounced off her head. Tails & I stood next to Amy*

Abigail: Don't listen to her! That's Eggman's programming talking!

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!

Amy: Right. The real Sally would never say something like that

Tails turned to a male greybulldog with white hair & blue eyeswearing a white shirt, a red tie, black pants, & black shoes, laying on the floor*

Tails: Your wife and the Acorns made it out the back, but they need your help. We'll cover you!

Colonel Sommersby: Understood. Thank you.

He turned back to Metal Sally*

Tails: It's just the five of us now! No more distractions!

Amy: We're stopping you right here, right now!

Suddenly, Metal Sally fired a laser from her head at us. We all dodged. It went through a wall & hit a building outside*

Mecha Sally:CORRECTION. THERE ARE NUMEROUS VILLAGERS HIDING IN THEIR FLAMMABLE HOMES. THERE ARE MANY DISTRACTIONS.

Amy: Why, you - !

Amy swung her hammer at Metal Sally, but she blocked it. Then shefired another laser & hit another house*

Abigail: No!

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!

Tails swung hid twin-tails at Metal Sally, but she dodged*

Tails: Take her down before she burns the whole village!

Amy: Sonic! We could use your speed right about now!

While we battled her, Metal Sally fired more lasers ay houses*

Abigail: Stop blowing uphomes!

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!

Mecha Sally:STOP DELAYING MY OBJECTIVE.*two Egg Swats fired laser at me & Huck, but we dodged* DIVERGENCE FROMTIME-TABLE UNACCEPTANCE. EGG SWATS, CONVERGE ON MY LOCATION.*she wentinside Elias house, only to find it empty*TARGET LOST. WARNING: GROUND FORCES DOWN TO TEN PERCENT.

Sonic then jumped on top of a Egg Swat's head, destroying it*

Sonic: Miss me?

Amy: It's about time you showed up!

Abigail: What happened to Silver Sonic?

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao?

Sonic:Eh, he's not so tough. T-Pup is handling it.

Amy: T-Pup!?

I turned & saw Silver Sonic being held in place by a stasis field created by T-Pup. Several villagers had ropes wrapped around its arms*

Sonic: Yo, Tails! Any good news from up there?

Tails: Yup! Looks like the village militia has organized and they're covering the evacuees.

Sonic: Cool.

Colonel Sommersby & a few of the villagers were attacking the robots*

Colonel Sommersby: That's it, fellows! Give them what for!

We all turned back to Metal Sally*

Sonic: So all that's left isgetting you to play nice. You're outnumbered, Metal Faker. Quit while you're behind.

Metal Sally:PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OBJECTIVES FAILED. RETURNING TO DEATH EGG FOR NEXT ASSIGNMENT.

She then flew away. Sonic tried to grab her, but missed*

Sonic: No! Dang it! Tails! Get the Tornado! We can still - ! *he paused for a moment & then started giving out new orders* Amy! Abby! Keep smashing Swats! Tails! Huck! Find us some buckets and a well so we can put out the fires!

We all ran off in different directions*

Later, we were at the Tornado, preparing to leave the now half destroyed village*

Sonic: Man, I shouldn't have let Silver Sonic sidetrack me for so long. This place is a mess.

Colonel Sommersby:It could've been much worse, ol'chap. We can even salvage the empty Egg Pods for materials.

Sonic:Ha. Yeah, and thank Eggman for the nice metal roofing tiles. Once we check in on Elias, we'll hit the road. Well . . . Sky.

Colonel Sommersby: I'm afraid that's out of the question. His Majesty is not seeing anyone presently.

Sonic: 'Scuse me? We saved his tail - twice - and he can't even . . .

Tails ran up to them*

Tails: Sonic! Let it go!

Sonic: Oh. Now you too? You know something I don't?

Tails: Sonic, just . . . Trust meon this. Let it go.

He & Sonic both looked at each other intensely. I got myself ready in case I need to step in between them*

Sonic: All right, dude. If you say so.

I let out the breath I was holding*

Tails: Thanks, Sonic. I'll hopefully be able to explain later.

Abigail*in her mind*I just hope they made to New Mobotropolis okay.

(Lacey's POV)

Me & the rest of Team Freedom stood in the park as the Death Egg hovered over New Mobotropolis*

Sally: Brace yourselves, Team Freedom! This is what we're here for!
