AN: Hey guys hope you've been enjoying this so far and I figured we could all use a little stress reliever from the event happening today even if it's just for a little :) Anyways hope you like this update! Enjoy!

"Well this is a surprise. If I'd known I'd have a visitor I might have prettied myself up a bit." Toga grinned as her canines shone dangerously. "Well…aren't you going to say something friend?"
Clenching her hands on her lap not to allow Toga to see just how much this visit was affecting her, Uraraka had to remind herself why she was here in the first place. "Hello Toga. I trust this place has been treating you well."
Understanding that it wasn't so much as a question as an acknowledgment, Toga curiously tilted her head very much aware of the same emotionless expression on Uraraka's face since the last time they met face to face. "Can't complain, although they do keep me on a rather tight leash around here." She slightly pouted.
"For good reasons too."
"Yeah? And what reason's might that be Ochaco?"
"Perhaps because you've murdered people." When she saw Toga's eyes turn away for the first time since her arrival, Uraraka couldn't help but shake her head in disbelief. "You still don't have any remorse about the things you've done, do you? And here I thought maybe all this time in here would help you eventually see that."
"You mean all the time you haven't come to see me?" Togas quick reply and hurt expression told Uraraka that despite everything they've been though, Toga still considered her as somewhat of a friend in her own twisted way. "Why are you here Ochaco? Or has your little trip in Europe become so boring that you had to come back?"
The brief surprise and shock shooting through Uraraka's eyes brought a smile to Togas face telling her all she needed to know.
Uraraka was about to ask how on earth Toga had known where she was when she felt Kenzo shifting on her shoulder.
"Nice cat you got there." Innocently smiling Toga's eyes landed on the black cat. "I used to have one just like it."
"Toga-"
"How is my dear little Kenzo these days?" She knowingly grinned as his eyes narrowed in on her. "How I miss him so."
"Leave him alone Toga." Uraraka dug her nails into her palms in order to remind herself to stay calm. This is what Toga did. She always liked to rile her up to gain some kind of reaction or acknowledgement out of her.
"Don't tell me that he's still sour about his baby brother?" Quirking an eyebrow the villains humorous eyes turned to her next. "Just as you are."
"We're not here to talk about that."
"Oh no? Then why are we here friend? What's a hero like you doing coming to see me after this long hmm?"
"I need information." Deciding to cut right to the chase Uraraka didn't bother to hide the reason for their visit since this was her one shot to get Toga to spill everything she knew.
"Then why come to me?" Toga shrugged not caring in the least. "Not like I know anything else."
"Yet somehow I doubt that." Never removing her eyes from the girl facing her, Uraraka could see Toga's lips raise as if being caught. "You seem to know an awful lot about where I've been or what's been going on given the fact that you're behind bars."
"You got me." Toga guiltily grinned as she raised her hands which was when Uraraka could see the handcuffs around her wrist. "But the better question is…" Leaning forward she made sure to keep her voice low. "Why should I tell you anything Ochaco?"
"The offer from before still stands Toga." Deeply exhaling Uraraka could feel the way Toga was carefully observing her to see if she was bluffing. "You help us bring Hana and the Ipponmichi down, and I'll-"
"There's nothing you can do. I already told you that during your last visit. And there is nothing you or your bunch of heroic friends can do about it." Licking the tip of one of her canines Toga tilted her head. "So why not ask Hana directly?"
"I…"
"Wait let me guess…" Tapping her chin Toga mulled it over before speaking. "You haven't seen her either. What's the matter Ochaco? Too scared to face reality? Your future? Is that why you decided to do what you did to the only man still alive that loves you?"
"Shut up!" Jolting forward she stopped when she felt Kenzo's grip on her shoulder reminding her to calm down.
"Don't worry I would be angry too if I were him. But then again poor Katsuki Bakugo doesn't remember a thing, does he? And whose fault is that again?"
"Stop it."
"How does it feel to finally realize that I was right Ochaco? To know that everyone does and will eventually leave you like they always do."
"Toga."
Ignoring the warning in her tone Toga's grin widened. "Face it friend. You'll always be alone. But don't worry…I'll always be here." Glancing around the four walls Toga waved the cuffs around her wrist. "Looked away until you need me. That's what people do for the people you love, like I loved Izuku, loved you…"
"That is not love Toga. Killing…cold hearted murder. Everything you've done…claiming you did it for love-"
"It is!" Jolting up in her seat Toga heard the guards open the door. "Sorry guys. You know how girl chats can sometimes get out of hand."
"Toga…tell me what you know…please. Help us bring them down."
"There's no helping…not anymore." Shaking her head, there was one thing Toga was really dying to ask as she leaned closer to the glass. "How is he? You know of whom I'm referring to, don't you?"
"Step away from the glass!" One of the guards shouted as they approached.
Upon Uraraka's furious expression Toga knew she hit a nerve. "It must kill you huh? Knowing that I knew before you did? To know that there is nothing that can be done. Nothing that can change what will happen no matter what you do or where you go little Ochaco."
"You're wrong." Shaking with rage, Uraraka couldn't keep shut anymore. Not when it came to her precious baby. "Because you don't have anything to give me. Otherwise, why would you constantly feel the need to tell me that."
"Because that's the truth!"
"It's not! I will find a way Toga. And whether you help me, or I've got to do this by myself, I won't let any of you lay a damn hand on him!"
"You're right bestie." As the guards began to move her, Toga pressed her lips together in a tight lip smile as she was being hauled away. "Give little Kiseki a kiss from me."
"What?" Her voice came out strained as the oncoming tears began to gather in her eyes. "She knows his name…"
X
During the next few days Uraraka continued to aimlessly move from one place to another as the numbness consumed her. Wake up, get her and Kiseki ready for another day, take him to Ryukyu's, get to work then head straight home after picking him back up was all her schedule consisted off. Never did she stop moving until Kiseki was back save and sound in her arms at the end of the day and she could retreat back to the safety of their home. It was hard enough to leave him at the daycare before but now…she was terrified of what could happen. Toga knowing the name of her child, knowing she was pregnant with him before she even did brought Hana's vision to the forefront of her mind and she couldn't even sleep without those visions still haunting her.
She knew her friends had taken notice, and Mina being the most verbal one of them all would constantly check on her in hopes that Uraraka would be ready to talk.
She had thought about telling Deku and Kirishima, but what good would it do to worry them more than they already were. Not that they haven't asked either, but she would always brush it off as exhaustion. She even went out of her way to patrol the way Bakugo had suggested before and gone off by herself- not that she didn't hear about it from Todoroki later and of course Iida whenever she ran into him hearing his regular speech about working together. But after getting scratched at by Mrs. Chibas cat and their little visit to get Bakugo patched up that day, she figured he'd be fine with it especially after he ran out of the room pretty mad it seemed.
"Ochaco…earth to Ochaco."
"Hmm?" Turning her head she was surprised when Mina playfully nudged her.
"Are you sure you're ok babe? I haven't seen you look this lost since Present Mic announced a pop quiz on the day you fell asleep in class-which by the way still has me surprised you even managed that, given how loud he is."
"Just tired."
With a slight nod Mina worriedly watched one of her best friends begin heading for the door before she decides to speak again. "Hey Ochaco, you know that if you ever need anything I'm always here for your right?"
Taken aback by the concern in Mina's voice had all the pain in Urarakas chest threaten to flow out of her eyes.
"You can always tell me anything. That's what friends are for."
"I know." Forcing a strained smile that didn't reach her eyes Uraraka was grateful for people like Mina, people that always reminded her she wasn't alone even though right now she couldn't help but feel that way. "Thank you Mina."
Tilting his head back, Bakugo quietly observed them from his spot in the hall leading to the gym. It didn't go unnoticed how off she had been these last few days and blamed it on his stupid ability to read people, but what annoyed the crap out of him the most was how he couldn't understand why she seemed even more distant than before. And not just with him but everyone here.
Deciding it wasn't any of his business he quickly pushed off the wall to get ready for some extra training until he saw Shindo eagerly waving at him after one of his own work outs.
"Hey Bakugo!"
"Fuck off."
"You got a minute?" Shindo quizzically watched him brush past.
"No."
"Come on Bakugo, this will really help me out man." Shindo quickly made to catch up to him.
"Again I say NO."
"It's about Urav-I mean Uraraka."
Halting in his steps Bakugo frustratingly pinched the bridge of his nose. "Listen douchbag I really really don't have the energy to pretend to like you today."
"Well do you ever?" Shindo smugly folded his arms over his chest.
"Well no." Bakugo had to agree since it was no secret that since the very beginning there was something about Shindo that always rubbed Bakugo the wrong way. Like he wasn't being genuine and seemed overly fake in his opinion and come to find out Bakugo was right during the provisional licensing exam. He never understood why someone like Shindo was so liked when all he did was spit shit out of his mouth whenever he spoke, but he guessed some people preferred that over constantly being told the truth like he liked to do. But at least Bakugo knew the truth which was why he never made it a secret in telling him to fuck off. "Which is why I'm leaving."
"You know man it's the strangest thing…" Shindo turned his body to face the opposite direction. "But I was hoping to get partner up with her but seems I'm staying put for now." He smugly stretched his arms out in front of him.
"Tough shit." Bakugo made to continue walking but something about the next thing Shindo said made him stop.
"Really? Because I heard that you wouldn't mind switching with me."
"And who the hell's told you that shit?"
"Almost everyone."
"Well, everyone better keep their damn mouth shut because she's my partner."
"Alright I get it." Lifting his hands up Shindo returned to staring at something over Bakugo's shoulder. "But do you think she'd go for me?" he asked nodding his head towards Uraraka. "Uraraka I mean."
"Doubt it." Call him curious but all it did was make him turn in the same direction as Shindo had. "She has better taste than that."
"Oh what and let me guess you'd do better?"
"I'm saying someone like her doesn't need a second rate wanna be hero who's only out for himself." He flexed his jaw as he pointedly glared at Shindo knowing full well what he was trying to do since Shindo's track record with girls wasn't something well hidden.
Chuckling he solely kept his eyes fixated on her. "Right, like you'd fit the bill?"
"What?" Frowning Bakugo was about ten seconds ready to snap at this stupid extra. "Oi I never said-"
"Come on Bakugo. I'm not stupid." Shindo's grin quickly turned sour when he finally removed his eyes long enough to look at him. "I've seen the way you look at her. Hell, ever since back in high scho-"
"Wait go back to the stupid thing?" Bakugo grinned when he saw Shindo's glare deepen before Bakugo began walking again. "Bedside's Round face can do whatever the hell she wants, not like I care either way."
"I was thinking of asking her out you know." Raising his arms above his head, Shindo side eyed him as he walked next to him- much to Bakugos displeasure. "Maybe somewhere romantic you know since she seems to be into that kind of thing."
"Why are you still talking to me?! If you want to ask her out, then be my damn guest."
"So, you're really not into her?"
"Who?"
Smirking Shindo pointed to the girl in question. "Uraraka of course! I know you've noticed; you can not look at her and not realize how hot she is."
Sighing heavily, Bakugo contemplated if it was worth getting into another altercation with someone at work after what Todoroki had told him the other day about not playing well with others. "No."
"You know what? My mistake." Shindo grinned when he saw Uraraka start to leave. "Catch you later man."
"Tch. I fucking hope not." Bakugo watched as Shindo raised his hand to greet the two girls before wedging himself in between to admittedly talk to Uraraka. He tried to force himself to keep moving but couldn't stop the slow growing annoyance that piling up inside when he saw Uraraka smiling back at the guy. Clenching his fists he quickly turned around, stomping back towards the gym.
"Hey Baku-AH!" Kirishima yelped when without a word his buddy grabbed him by the arm dragging him along with him. "Wait where are we going?!"
X
"Alright man…we've been here…for two hours." Kirishima tiredly panted. "And as much as I appreciate being your stand in punching bag the same as the next guy, are you ever going to tell me what's been eating you?"
"Nothing." Shaking his head Bakugo hopped back on his feet ready to go again. "Again."
Groaning Kirishima did the same as Bakugo began preparing himself for another attack. "Alright how about this, I get a hit on you, and you tell what's up."
"If you can even manage that." Bakugo smugly grinned.
"Alright then so you have nothing to worry about, right?"
Thinking it over he swiftly shook his head at the idea. "Fuck that. I'm not agreeing to that."
"Aha so there is something!" Kirishima pointed out. "Otherwise, you wouldn't look like you had something to hide."
Frustratingly pressing his lips together, he really wanted to punch Kirishima straight in his proud face. He should've known the guy had something up his sleeve and up to this day always managed to find his way in and find out what bothered him the most. He could acknowledge that it wasn't necessarily a bad thing but more times than not he found it also annoying. Especially when he really didn't want to talk about it.
"Alright fine." Smiling to himself, Kirishima shrugged before heading to his gym bag. He knew Bakugo could be stubborn when it came to what was bothering him or showing any hint of human weakness, so he learned it was best to let him come to him instead. 'Three, two, one…'
"Alright damn it!" Repeatedly raising and lowering his fists out of frustration, he wouldn't do it. There was no way he would meet the red heads' eyes already aware that he'd be gloating by this point.
"Great let's go."
It was another half hour before Kirishima managed to land a good hit on Bakugo's cheek that left the blond angrily staring back as he stumbled back. "The fuck?!"
"Woah HA I actually did it!" Kirishima sounded just as surprised at himself before collapsing on the ground. "Alright man. Lay it on me."
"Lucky shot."
"Hey call it whatever you want man, but whatever's going on must be bad if I got a shot in." Kirishima raised himself on his elbow and offered a questioning brow.
"Fine whatever that damn extra asked for my opinion on whether Round face would accept you know…"
"What?"
"He's trying to ask her out!"
"Who?"
"Round face."
"No I mean who wants to ask her out?"
"That damn guy that's been eyeing her like a piece of meat."
"Oh Shindo." Chuckling Kirishima slowly tried getting to his feet despite the aching in his body. "Well that's cool."
"You're fine with it?"
Taken aback by Bakugo's puzzled expression, Kirishima simply shrugged. "I mean yeah, he seems like a good guy, and I never had a problem with him."
"Yeah, but you get along with everyone." He mumbled.
"I'll take that as a compliment, but let's just move right passed it and ask why the sudden interest on who she dates?"
"I don't." Upon Kirishima's skeptical stare Bakugo adamantly shook his head. "I don't. Like I told that asshole, I couldn't care less what she does."
"You said that?" Kirishima momentarily frowned before he masked it with his usual chipper grin. "Alright then we have nothing to worry about, right?" Clapping him on the back Kirishima was about to call it a day when Bakugo spoke up.
"Considering that she's my partner the only problem I have is if this interferes with our work."
"Uh correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you the one wanting to have Todoroki switch you the other day?"
"What the hell's wrong with everyone?! Doesn't anyone have their own shitty lives to worry about instead of talking about others?!" He snapped back finding his frustration grow. He knew better than to think that women were the only ones who liked gossiping when men could be just as worse.
"Alright man first calm down, and secondly what difference does it make if she takes him up on it? And knowing Uraraka she won't allow it to get in the way of continuing to be a great hero. So, the way I see it there's no problem. And you sir should be happy to have her as a partner."
"Tch, yeah so I can be happy as you?" Bakugo snorted thinking about the flustered mess Kirishima was after ever patrol with his temporary partner.
"Well, that's different."
"Got that right." Was Bakugo's only reply as they headed to the locker rooms to wash off. Kirishima was right, he and Raccoon Eyes had a history and as much as it sickens Bakugo to think about, those two really seemed great for each other. And Kirishima always looked happy while they were together. But he wasn't going to go down that road.
The last thing he needed was for him or anyone else for that matter to get word or even the barest of whiff about the new and unpleasant feelings Bakugo had around the gravity user and his life would be hell.
Even that damn asshole Shindo was right about one thing. That you'd have to be blind or an idiot not to see how truly attractive Ochaco Uraraka is. Maybe that was the problem? Maybe that was all there is? And just maybe he was overthinking shit that wasn't even possible. Being intimate with anyone never crossed his mind until she came back basically carrying a whole damn bus and effortlessly dropped it in front of him. Not to mention that damn train.
She was someone he clearly respected so the thought of someone like her…someone he'd known since his first days at UA and former classmate made his stomach uncomfortably turn. And mix that with his inexperience in intimacy or lack of compared to everyone else, and what could you do but have these weird thoughts when forced to work with someone like her.
Scoffing he convinced himself that that was the only explanation. Attraction. That was why he felt the way he did during his birthday. Why he felt that weird tingling sensation whenever the briefest of touches made his palm feel sweatier. Which was why he couldn't work with her because she was a possible distraction, yet the thought of her working with someone like Yo Shindo really pissed him off.
But then that really didn't explain why the hell he did what he did the other night during his jog.
Flashback…
"Hey man! Slow down!" Panting Kirishima raised his hand to hopefully grab Bakugo's attention when he decided to run off during their run "Where are we going?"
Coming to a complete stop, he braced his hands on his hips as he squinted his eyes to see the giant store sing in front of them. It wasn't until he felt Kirishima stop next to him that he allowed his eyes to check the store hours to make sure they were in fact still open.
"Why are we here?"
Frowning Bakugo didn't bother answering knowing he didn't even know why himself and instead walked right into the huge store as the bright lights shone upon the two of them like an obnoxious spotlight signaling to everyone that they had arrived. Or perhaps it was because it was getting late and unlike some of the other customers who were already long gone, it was Dynamight and Red Riot who decided to come into their store at this hour.
"Is that Dynamight?"
"Look it's Red Riot too!" they heard a few cashiers whispering.
"May I help you?" A polite older woman asked as she approached the two of them. He was about to tell her no but stopped himself when he saw her uniform and her name tag letting him know she worked there.
"Erm, I'm not sure." Kirishima awkwardly grinned as he rubbed the back of his head as he turned to him. "May she help us bro?"
Chuckling the woman couldn't help but give them both fond smiles. "It's just… you two seem lost and I'll be more than happy to help you or point you in the right direction if you need."
"Uhm…Bakugo?"
Forcing his eyes closed he tried not to seem as affected as he actually was being in a damn store like this. She was right, this was way out of his element, and he still couldn't comprehend what he was doing here. He still had time to turn around and pretend that this didn't happen, but his damn feet decided now was the time to stand firm on why he decided to run all the way over here after hearing what Kirishima and the others had planned.
"Sir?" Bouncing her eyes between both men she patiently waited for one of them to answer.
"Cribs." Bakugo managed to drag out between clenched teeth and ignored the embarrassing shaking of his posture.
"I'm sorry?" she politely asked.
Taking a deep breath, he forced the word out once more. "Cribs. Where are they?"
"Oh!" Eagerly smiling she quickly looked between the both of them. "For a baby?"
"No for a damn dog!" He bit back making the saleswoman shot a puzzled look at Kirishima who apologetically cringed. "Could you just tell us where they are?"
"O-Of course follow me." She stuttered as she gestured for them to come along.
"Dude! Seriously people skills! Look it up." Kirishima quietly whispered as he held his hands up.
"Here we are." She stopped to gesture at the various cribs on display. "If you prefer, we even have them in different colors."
"W-what?" Widening his eyes Bakugo felt panic begin to settle in as he stared at different types of cribs engulfing them, all with different names. Never in his life had he ever felt the need to think about contemporary cribs, more modern style cribs, mid-century cribs, Industrial cribs and the list went on and on before she started talking about the variety of colors they came in as well as the mattresses and sheets needed.
"Why so many?" Kirishima nervously asked.
"I realize that this might seem overwhelming." The woman gently smiled when she saw both men's petrified expressions. "First time parents?"
"You could say that." Kirishima mumbled as she placed her hands on her chest with a huge smile.
"Oh, you two are so adorable." She wiped a small tear from her eyes making it her mission to help them in any way she can.
"Thanks." Kirishima happily grinned before it faded as he looked at the display. He was still shocked that his buddy dragged him over here this late -and to go crib shopping no less. Looking at him he could see Bakugo's terrified face as he tried to listen in on whatever the woman was saying. Never would he have guessed to be picturing Bakugo of all people going crib shopping but was glad to come along for his friend.
"Now if none of these are to your liking, we also have portable cribs, convertible cribs…"
"Fancy." Kirishima grinned having a hard time picturing Kiseki as a baby in one of those, he's not even old enough to have a license-or crawl for that matter.
"It also really matters if you want wood or metal, slats all the way around or flat panels, drop sides-"
"It's a damn crib." Bakugo glared at the woman. "All that brat does is drool and finds it funny when he drops his toys in front of me."
"He is a cutie." Kirishima chuckled remembering what Bakugo had told him.
Smiling the woman nodded. "You two will make wonderful parents I can tell."
"Thanks." Kirishima's grin widened whereas Bakugo's only widened in offense.
"The fuck…? It's not for us!"
"What-no!" Kirishima quickly shook his head. "We're getting this for a friend."
"Oh!" Covering her mouth she quickly gave them an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry…"
"No, it's alright." Kirishima waved her off.
'No it's not!" Bakugo barked back before feeling his phone alert him to an incoming call.
"Hey!" Kirishima frowned as he watched Bakugo answer the call.
"What?!"
"Don't take that tone with me Katsuki! I brought you into this world and I can very well take you out!" Mistuki Bakugo's voice could be heard even without the need of the speaker as Bakugo held it further away from his ear before answering.
"Kinda busy right now you old hag so make it quick."
"You're always busy to call your dear mother! What's it take for you to come visit me? A damn heart attack?!"
"Sadly no since you and I both know that being the devil you'll live forever." Pinching the bridge of his nose he continued to listen in as she continued to remind him about his last visit. "Listen I'll come visit if you only put dad on the phone."
"Katsuki?"
Hearing the familiar gentle voice of his dad made the nerves at being here suddenly lessen. "Hey old man has mom stopped taking her meds by any chance?"
"I HEARD THAT YOU DAMN UNGRATEFUL BRAT!" Mistuki shouted in the background.
"It's just his family." Kirishima shrugged as the saleswoman raised a confused brow. "They're one of the loveliest people you'll ever meet really."
"WELL NOT MY FAULT YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN THEM YOU OLD BAT!"
"Your son thinks he's really really funny." Mistuki snorted before she turned to continue cooking with a small smile on her face at hearing his voice.
"So I heard your mother saying something about you're coming to visit?"
"Yeah, if it'll get her off my back." He smirked when he heard his dad chuckle.
"She just misses you son, we both do."
"I know." He hates to agree but couldn't argue against it, since he had been working nonstop he barely had time to come visit his parents like he promised he would and knew they only worried about him. "I have to go but can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"I'm in this baby store and I'm trying to figure out all this damn crib situation-"
"WHAT?!"
Flinching back, he knew he heard his mom's voice in there somewhere along with the shocked tone of his dad as a plate dropped in the background. "Oi it's not for me!"
"It better not be Katsuki Bakugo because I raised you better than that! You better not have knock up some poor girl who didn't know the ungrateful demon child you are-"
"I didn't! And even if I did, they'd be your grandkids you old crone!" Hearing her muffled silence, he inhaled deeply before he heard his dad's voice.
"Honey he'd have to have a girlfriend first before-"
"That's true Masaru."
"Guys!" Placing his hand on his forehead he waited until his parents finally stopped talking about him like he couldn't hear them.
"Alright Katsuki." Mitsuki's voice could be heard close to the phone. "If you're shopping for cribs, it's really easy and really depends on what your friend prefers. Along with whether she prefers wood, metal or maybe she has a theme or color-"
"Goddamn it!" Frustratingly ending the call, he glared back at Kirishima and the saleswoman. "Alright. What else you got?"
"Huh?" Blinking back in confusion Kirishima silently stared back at the blond.
"Oh." Grinning the woman eagerly gestured for them to follow.
"Hey by the way dude, I took offense to that earlier. I'm everyone's type!"
"Take it whatever way you want dubmbass." He muttered as they followed the woman around the store as she aimlessly began talking.
"But no seriously Bakugo, what are we doing here?" Kirishima quietly asked walking next to him.
"Hell if I know Shitty hair..."
End of flashback…
"Man, it's been a while since we had a good spar like that." Kirishimas' voice suddenly yanked him out of his thoughts as Bakugo looked back to see the red head rolling his shoulder as he remained seated on the bench hunched over his phone.
"What? Me kicking your ass you mean?" He smirked when Kirishima didn't have an answer and instead continued to type away on his phone.
It was another good minute before Kirishima decided to speak again but the frown on his face had Bakugo warily stare back. "Yeah, hang on a second…"
"The fucks wrong with you?"
"Nah nothing man, I'm just texting Uraraka to see how she's doing."
'So, he's noticed too…' Nodding Bakugo tried to distract himself by removing his shoes next to him, but strangely found himself pivoting enough to see that he was in fact writing her. His brows creased together not understanding what the fuck he was doing. This wasn't like him, he didn't care two shits about what was going on in the lives of others unless they wanted him to know, but the way she just kept coming up every minute had him irritatingly wanting to put a stop to this and just push past it.
"You've got her number." He surprisingly found himself saying rather than asking.
"Uh yeah." Kirishima raised a puzzled brow as he looked over his shoulder to see Bakugo look down at his shoes before tugging his shirt off next. "Don't you? You are her partner after all right?" He cheekily grinned and returned to reading his new message that had him quickly write back.
Rolling his eyes Bakugo was about to retort when he saw Kirishima so invested in his and Urakawa's conversation that it piqued his interest even further.
It bothered him to admit that he didn't in fact have her number and knew that he'd eventually need it in case something came up work related. And it wasn't as if she had asked him for his either, not that at the moment he'd even offered to give it to her anyways.
Inwardly groaning he knew that if he wanted to be the best of the best then that meant working together at times. He knew that, hell he learned that working alongside his classmates back in school but there was just something about working with her now that had him constantly on guard around her.
"Fuck it." He silently mouthed and swallowing down his oversized pride he carefully and discreetly leaned forward enough to see Kirishima typing away before Bakugo frustratingly scratched the back of his head. 'This is so stupid.' He thought as he once again tried to get a better look at the recipient's number.
Never in his life had he ever felt the need to ask for any girls' number and there was no way he was going to start now. Despite it being strictly for work related purposes of course.
As he got closer, he managed to see the first three digits before his palm raised to hold his weight on the nonexistent part of the bench before he found himself falling flat on the hard ground. "Shit!"
"Bakugo!" Jumping to his feet Kirishima had a hard time keeping the grin from his face when he saw the blond embarrassingly getting to his feet with a hint of an obvious blush on his cheeks. "What was that man? Are you ok?"
"Fuckin peachy." He squinted his eyes before extending his hand out.
"What?"
'Is he really going to make me say it?!' he thought as he raised his hand once more. "You said it yourself Shitty hair, I'm her damn partner so I should have her number."
"Oh no nonoononono." Quickly backing away Kirishima knew better than to do something like that. If she hadn't given Bakugo her new number yet then there was no way he'd be responsible for yet another incident occurring. "Wait is that what you were doing just now?" He asked, flicking his eyed from the phone in his hand to Bakugo.
"Don't be stupid." He scowled back as he impatiently gestured for Kirishima's phone.
"No way man!"
"Shitty hair…"
"No!" Stubbornly shaking his head, he only managed a few steps before Bakugo was on him trying to get his phone. "I'm not giving you her number man!"
"Stop being so damn childish!"
"No…" Grunting Kirishima desperately tried to keep it out of his reach. "I will…not be…held responsible for this again!"
"What are you even talking about?!" he barked as he tried to make another go for it. "It's just a damn number!"
"Well then if you want it so bad then you should ask her for it!"
Bakugo's hand froze midair when the doors suddenly swung open with Tokoyami and Sato both wearing startled looks. It came as no surprise since Kirishima had one hand behind his back while the other was being held by Bakugo grip as he tried to go around him.
"Uhm, are we interrupting anything?" Sato uneasily shifted from one foot to the other.
"Apologies. We'll come back." Tokoyami politely nodded as they both headed back the way they came.
"Do you think we've all been spending too much time together?" Sato could be heard asking down the hall.
"Whatever." Bakugo huffed as he let go and headed towards the showers. "Don't need it anyways."
"Alright." Cautiously eyeing him Kirishima received another text message at the same time from Kaminari this time. "Hey man I'm going to go see how Kaminari's doing. Feel like coming with?" He shouted hoping Bakugo heard.
"Don't care."
Without a second thought Kirishima quickly walked over to take a shower before heading over to Kaminari and Jirous place.
After he was done, Bakugo walked out gripping the towel around his waist as he headed to his locker to change into a pair of clean clothes. It was the same time he realized that during his hastiness Kirishima had left his shoes behind along with some of his clothes and phone. Glancing around to make sure he was indeed alone his eyes narrowed in on the red phone. "Screw it…"
