Stretching her arms out in front of her, Uraraka smiled at the little boy happily grinning back at her the next day as they continued walking down the aisle of the nearby grocery store. It was well past six and she decided that since they had all of their belongings now it was about time that she allowed herself time to cook. The only problem with that was the constant reminder of her stomach growling that had her hungrily eyeing everything on the shelves.

It didn't help that whenever she passed by the bakery section the intoxicating smells of freshly baked bread, chicken and all of the sweet goodness that made her mouth water followed her all the way down the aisles as if begging for her attention.

When she turned down another aisle she instantly froze when she saw a familiar figure walking into the store. He wasn't wearing his usual hero attire and instead wore a pair of black workout shorts and matching black shirt along with his airpods before quickly grabbing one of the baskets.

Tearing her eyes away from him, she tried to fight the urge to run towards one of the nearby registers and just forget about the rest of her grocery shopping for now. She estimated it wouldn't take her long to make it to one of the cashiers before he would even notice her, but before she could make up her mind he turned in her direction as if he felt eyes on him. She managed to hide behind the back of another aisle with Kiseki now watching her with a weird expression.

"Oh don't look at mommy like that." She shot him a small smile before peeking her head out and relaxed when she saw him nowhere in sight. Hearing the people in the bakery talking to a customer had her briefly gazing back at the food. "Great, two things I can't have right now…"

Pushing her cart forward she decided to just finish her quick shopping, finding it ridiculous that she felt the need to hide from one of her coworkers. A coworker who just happened to be the love of her life with amnesia and the father of her child that she couldn't even mention. With that not so comforting thought quickly pushed aside, she looked down at her list of things she still needed to get.

After a few more minutes of carefully moving from aisle to aisle she read off everything that she was still missing which were only a few more items. "Almost done here sweetie." She looked down at her son before scanning the aisle for what she needed. "Ramen…ramen…where the hecks the-oh." Proudly grinning she pulled out a box before losing her smile when she realized that was the last one other than the few on top. "Seriously?!" Muttering under her breath she tried to get on her tip toes reaching for it without much success.

"Alright Kiseki no laughing at mommy…" Glancing both left then right, Uraraka made sure there were no passerby's before slowly floating herself upward. Upon hearing her son's joyful glee, she couldn't stop the small smile on her lips knowing that anytime she did use her quirk he became excited. Reaching over she quickly grabbed one before looking down at her cart and placing it inside. Biting her lip when she went to grab another, she saw a large hand passing her shoulder before grabbing it. Yelping, she thankfully landed on her feet. "H-hey!"

"I got it."

Startled, she looked up to find the very person she was trying to evade smugly grinning back at her now only wearing one of his airpods while he held the other in his left hand. "B-Bakugo?"

"You know next time you want to stalk someone at least have the damn decency to do a better job at it."

Dropping her mouth open she instantly felt the blush on her cheeks. "What-I was not!"

"So, you weren't following me?" He quirked a skeptical brow as he put the ramen in her cart.

"Of course not." Her eyes widened in disbelief that he'd even think that. "Why would I do that?"

"I don't know you tell me." He shrugged with humor in his eyes. "Did Round Face miss me since you didn't get to see me all day?"

Ignoring his teasing tone she quickly walked around him while pushing her cart. She was well aware that they hadn't seen each other mainly due to her avoiding him as well as the fact that he was sent out on a mission today with both Deku and Todoroki, but was she going to say anything? Of course not. "Well, I wasn't." she said, feeling him walking right next to her. "What are you doing here anyways? Isn't this a little far from where you live?"

"Wow who pissed in our cereal?" he scoffed at her unwanted attitude before gesturing over to his basket. "Same as you. Figured after my shift since I got nothing to do right now…" he side-eyed her making his irritation known that she still wouldn't let him in on the case. "Figured I'd do some quick shopping while I'm at it."

"Hmm…" Suppressing a smile she couldn't remember a time she'd actually seen him grocery shop and that thought alone brought a warm tingling in her chest.

"What, you finally figured out who pissed in your breakfast?"

"What-no one!" She vigorously shook her head when she heard him quietly chuckle. "I just don't think I've ever seen you doing something like this…"

"What you mean shopping?" Raising his basket, he eyed some of the food items.

"Yeah. I guess it just makes me remember that you're just like us." she giggled.

"You mean human?" He squinted his eyes not understanding where she was going with this. After all this was just something simple, how else was he supposed to cook his healthy meals? "Well hate to break it to you Cheeks, but it's way healthier than all that shi-stuff you eat." He quickly corrected himself when he saw who was sitting in his small car seat.

With a tight lip smile she appreciated that he at least had some sense to not use his rather colorful language around her son.

"So, what's with you?" he nodded towards some of the food choices in her cart.

"Well after the whole moving ordeal I'm looking forward to making a nice meal for once."

"You cooking?"

Frowning she could see the slow growing smirk on his face that immediately made her look down the aisle.

"You know last I remember in high school you couldn't cook worth sh-anything." Rubbing his mouth to keep from laughing he only received an eye roll in return.

"I can too." Puffing out her cheeks she tried not to let that comment get to her. So what if she couldn't cook the way he or any of those professional chefs did, at least she was willing to give it a shot for her child and at least most of what she made could be considered edible.

"Really?" When he didn't see her attempt to respond he instead looked down the aisle. "Still waiting on that sandwich though."

"Huh?!" Baffled, she repeatedly blinked staring with shocked wide eyes. Did she hear him right? No, it couldn't have been. Maybe those sleepless nights were finally getting to her.

"Yeah, I remember Kirishima I think… mentioning that your dad once talked to him." Furrowing his brows in concentration he tried to remember exactly when that was or if it even was Kirishima. Shaking his head he quickly looked back at her to see she had stopped walking and instead kept her eyes on a bag of bread. He was about to joke with her about not really being hungry right now but stopped himself when he saw the sadness in her eyes, no doubt thinking about her father.

"I um…" Grabbing the bread she quickly placed it in her cart before moving onto the next aisle to grab the last item.

"Round face…"

"It's fine." She faintly smiled looking over the shelf. "Kiseki and I have to go anyways. My roommates about to be home and I have to check in on him."

"Yeah, I've got get going too." Nodding he understood she had plans to get to, probably a date or something that he wouldn't keep her from. Locking gaze with the curious child he quickly closed Kisekis hand into a fist before lightly fist bumping him. "Later brat, you too Pink Cheeks."

Briefly smiling, she quickly moved down the aisle and towards the register without a second look back.

As the members of the Todoroki agency went about their regular routine the next day, everyone stopped what they were doing when the double doors slammed open and a dirty and pissed off Bakugo stormed in with Kirishima hot on his heel.

"That was complete bullshit!"

"Well, I thought it went great!"

"Don't start lecturing me on a job well done when you know as well as I do that this could've gone ten times better."

"Erm well yeah…" Kirishima had to agree that this patrol didn't go quite as planned. Since they were close by, they got the call to help out during a fire that had spread throughout a nearby building. Thanks to his hardening quirk and Bakugo's quick thinking they were able to get everyone out before the fire department arrived.

Come to find out that the cause of the fire was due to a little girl whose quirk had just manifested and it just so happened to be the girl Bakugo ended up carrying to safety but not before he witnessed it himself. Which resulted in the top portionh of his hero suit being incinerated and both heroes looking worse for wear.

He could still hear the crunching of what remained of his clothes and the lingering smell of smoke and sweat- and not like the one he's used to when using his own quirk but rather the smokey campfire-ish smell that still remained buried deep in his nose and throat. He refused to let himself be checked by the paramedics on the scene, telling them that instead of trying to focus on him they should spend their time worrying about the occupants as well as the frightened child.

With that in mind he made a mental note to talk with Todoroki tomorrow about what the hell they were doing to help little kids like the one that caused the fire today.

Marching directly towards the front desk where the two receptionists both stared on in shock at his current appearance. "Tell goggles I need a new suit." He scowled down at the two.

"Right away Dynamight!" Honoka smiled as she picked up the phone but stopped when the person in questioned appeared next to him as if by magic.

"What's this? Another opportunity for me to refine my creations?"

Rolling his eyes Bakugo groaned as he turned sideways to see Mei Hatsume eyes already twinkling in delight as her brain already began working on the many things she had planned for his costume. "Don't even think about it gearhead. I like this just the way it is without getting you grimy paws all over it."

"Haha but yet I'm the one you always seek when it comes to another these matters" she pointed out.

"That's because that's your job moron!" he snapped back. He could admit that she did have a neck for creative ideas when it came to upgrades, which was why she was one of the best ones in this agency.

"What is this five…six maybe?"

"Doesn't matter." He shrugged off as he trudged towards the showers. "And you better keep my shit the way it is too, got it?!"

"Yeah yeah." She dismissively waved him off knowing that out of everyone here Bakugo was just as picky about his suit as he was the first day on the job, he still preferred the same style along with the two black dots. Now if she happened to add a few minor details here and there she was sure he wouldn't notice.

Working at the Todoroki agency allowed her the opportunity to work with some of the big names in the hero society while at the same time broadening her portfolio for potential clients in other places that sought out her help. Hatsume could say she was surprised when Deku came up to her one day after graduating to offer her a job on behave of Todoroki and she would be crazy to not accept. After all business was business and she couldn't wait to get started.

Kicking the door open to the locker rooms Bakugo briskly walked over to one of the showers while Kirishima did the same.

"I'll see upstairs man."

"Yeah yeah…" Removing what was left of his clothing he stepped into the hot water letting the steam envelope him as he closed his eyes immediately feeling the tension in his shoulders start to lessen. The sound of the water was soothing to his ears allowing him to finally take a breather. Even though he felt the knots on his back somewhat loosening he still felt that it wasn't nearly enough. Sure, the stress of being a pro hero never seemed to fade but he felt like lately it was building up more and more as the days progressed. Even when he was forced to take time off, he found himself stressed at the fact that even that seemed to bother him, which was why he always preferred keeping busy here.

So, when Kirishima told him to slow down every once in a while, and maybe get a damn hobby he couldn't argue the fact that perhaps he was right. Always a first time for everything he thought.

While running his fingers through his thick wet hair to try and get all the dirt and grime off himself his mind suddenly drifted back to finding what could help him in this situation which didn't involve working himself to death yet allow his mind to at least stay busy. Which then led him to another problem. Uraraka.

He still didn't understand why the hell he wasn't allowed to work with them when everyone clearly knew he was suited for it. Hell even Todoroki didn't see a problem with it. Frowning he wondered if she would act the same way if Deku or Kirishima asked to get in on it. So maybe since they were on friendlier terms now, she could have changed her mind? But something in his gut told him not to hold his breath since after seeing her at the grocery store the other day it still felt like there was some distance between them.

Running a second layer of Shampoo through his hair he briefly paused when he realized what he was doing. Shaking his head he quickly threw out any thoughts of her as he furiously washed off all all the dirt. No way in hell was he going to start thinking about her or anyone else right now.

Exiting the showers he roughly slammed his locker open pulling out his duffle bag and grabbing a pair of black pants and white shirt. At least his suit would be done hopefully by Monday and in the meantime, he'd have to settle with one of his backup suits for tomorrow.

Taking everything he needed for the day he quickly slammed his locker shut in time to see Kirishima exiting his shower with a towel wrapped around his waist."

"Alright Shitty hair I'm out."

"What already? No second shift?" Kirishima's brows shot up in surprise.

"No, think I'm just going to call it a day for now." Slinging the bag over his shoulder he pushed open the doors before Kirishima questions him any further. Maybe he really did just need a day to relax and unwind.

"Dynamight, you're leaving?" Honoka placed the phone down with whomever she was talking to eagerly get up from her seat.

"About time. That guy needs a break." Her coworker said as he placed a dark blue folder aside before flinching away from a scowling Bakugo who was already impatiently waiting. "Dynamight what can I do for you?"

"Tell Icy Hot I'm done for today, but should he need anything he knows where to reach me.

"Will do." the guy said before he saw Deku approaching them next.

"Kacchan hi!" Deku grinned but stopped when his eye caught the bag draped over his shoulder. "So, I'm guessing you're off?"

"Geez whatever gave you that idea?"

Hearing the sarcasm dripping from his voice Deku only smiled. "Lucky guess I guess." Turning, he looked at the other two. "Is Todoroki still in his office?"

"Yes sir, but before you go Hawks told me to give this to Uravity…" the guy awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. "But since she's not here he said I could just leave it with you."

Looking over his shoulder Deku nodded before accepting the dark blue folder that he now saw as confidently sealed shut. He had a vague idea what it was about and would make sure to hand it to her later today. "Don't worry I'll make sure to give it to her, thank you."

Stiffly and as fast as his legs would take him, he was only a few feet away from escaping when he felt the familiar uneasy piecing on his back a second before he heard it.

"Oi Deku!"

"Um sorry Kacchan I'm kinda in a hurry but enjoy the rest of your day ok!" When he saw the elevator doors finally open, he gave a relived smile as he took a step forward but screeched when he felt himself being yanked back by the shoulder. "Not good." Cringing he quickly turned to meet Bakugos suspicious glare. "Kacchan, what can I do for you?"

"That folder that extra just handed you." Gazing down at the death grip Deku had on the folder, he could vividly see the One For All user shaking. "If it's going to Round face, I can take it to her."

"R-really? I don't know-I-I don't mind-"

"It's fine." Grabbing the folder Bakugo frowned when he saw Deku's apprehension to let go. "Let go Deku."

"No I'm good."

"Deku!"

"Kacchan I really don't think…"

"I said I got it." Pulling back Bakugo began to feel everyones eyes on two of the biggest heroes fighting over a damn folder of all things.

"So do I." Pulling Back Deku refused to let Bakugo leave this place knowing that if by chance anything were to happen to this information, nothing good would come out of it. "And you're off! You should go home and rest like everyone else!"

"You're one to talk!"

"Exactly that's why you need to rest!"

"That's why you should let go!" He barked back. Realizing Deku wasn't going to give in anytime soon, Bakugo rolled his eyes when he realized what he had to do. He wasn't necessarily proud of always doing this, but it seemed to work on the guy since they were little kids. Loosening his grip Bakugos eyes momentarily widened when he looked over Dekus shoulder. "Oi… is that All might?!"

"Where?!" Deku eagerly grinned and tried to catch his old mentor just as Hawks stepped out of the elevators. "All Might!"

"Hmm?" Glancing over his shoulder Hawks worriedly eyed Deku. "Think you got your heroes mixed up kid."

"Or I just so happen to fall into another one of Kacchan tricks." Wincing Deku didn't even bother turning around as his shoulders slumped in defeat. "Why do I keep falling for it…?"

"Yeah, I was wondering why I saw him rushing out laughing." Hawks curiously tilted his head. "I just thought he finally lost it. And if he did then I called it!"

Hovering his knuckles over the door for the second time, he debated if she was even home. It was already passed her shift so she may very well not be. But given the fact that he had no way of reaching her what other options did he really have other than having to wait until tomorrow at work- which he really didn't want to do. Rolling his head he let out an irritated groan before just getting this over with. "Fuck it."

Exiting the showers as quickly as she could she ran around her room trying to find something appropriate to wear as the banging on the door continued. "Who in the world could that be?" she said as she grabbed a light pink buttoned blouse and black shorts. Picking up Kiseki she placed him into his small playpen before walking over to the door. She had half a mind to give the person on the other side of the door a good choice words before she swiftly swung the door open. "Ok I'm here-"

With her mouth open she wasn't entirely sure how long she was standing there staring at a stunt Bakugo until she heard him awkwardly clear his throat. She would have thought that he would be working or even quite possibly give her an earful in return after taking a while in -his standards- but she definitely didn't expect to see him trying to suppress a smile.

"Bakugo? What are you…?"

"Might wanna cover up there Cheeks." His lips raised pulling into a slow smirk as his eyes lowered from her puzzled face, following the droplets of water from her wet hair most likely from a recent shower as they trailed down the nape of her neck before disappearing into a barely concealed blouse that she had evidently forgot to button on her way to answer the door. Letting her pink bra stare back at him before swiftly forcing his eyes back up. 'Holy shit!'

Following his gaze, she looked down before gasping and quickly turned as she fixed her blouse in record time. "Bakugo!"

"Oi don't yell at me when you're the one answering the door like that!" he gestured his hand towards her. "For all you know I could've been a creep!"

Pursing her lips to make a point she only saw him roll his eyes and look away. After she was done, she made sure nothing was visible anymore before finally working up the courage to face him. She was surprised to see him already watching her now with an unreadable expression. She would have thought she was the only one embarrassed by the situation if it weren't for the slow growing blush on his face that he couldn't seem to hide.

"You gonna invite me in or are we standing out here so more people can stare at you?"

"I'm inclined to slam the door in your face actually." She gave him the sweetest smile she could muster as her hand on the knob tightened.

"Fine." Shrugging his shoulder he turned to leave. "Couldn't care less."

'Do it Ochaco just do it!' Inwardly groaning she regretted having to ask the question she'd had since the moment she opened the door and knew he would take enjoyment out of it. "Bakugo wait." When she was sure he had heard her and turned she forced herself to ask. "Please tell me why you're here."

"Hmm." Thinking it over he walked up to her until he was now standing directly in front of her door. "I don't know. Your hospitality seems kinda fucked up if you ask me." Tilting his head sideways he could see her trying to keep whatever response she had on the tip of her tongue. "Maybe if I heard the word PLEASE that would help change my mind since I made all this effort to come over here after all…"

"You're enjoying this too much you know that?"

"A little bit." He chuckled when he saw the amusement shine in her brown eyes.

"Fine Bakugo, would you like to come inside?" she dramatically stepped aside.

Rubbing his lip, he gave her a once over before he walked in. The place hadn't changed much since the other day, but he could guess it was due to their work schedule that she hadn't had much free time. The boxes were now stacked against the wall with a few items already put up including a small playpen that already had a dressed up Kiseki laying there. That's when he realized that they probably had plans.

Quickly pulling the dark blue folder out of his bag he extended it out to her before she warily accepted it. "It's from Big bird. Deku was going to bring over but I…convinced him that I could drop it off since I was already leaving."

Somehow she found that hard to believe considering he probably knew that this information was related to the Ipponmich case and knew by the look on the blonds face he knew she knew it too. She was surprised however that the information didn't seem to have been opened, but then again this was Bakugo.

As much as she knew he wanted to help she also knew that he would never go against her wishes over something like that and respect her privacy enough to not see what was inside without her being ok with it. Even when she knew this must be killing him when she saw his eyes flicker from the folder in her hand then back to her. "T-thank you for going out of your way to bring this over."

"Tch, it's not big deal." Shrugging he walked over to the playpen and crouched down to see the child energetically kicking his legs. "He seems excited."

"Yeah, we're actually on our way out to go for a stroll in the park."

"You mean the one close to here, right?"

"Yeah…?" She could see him repeatedly opening his mouth as if he wanted to ask something before he finally did.

"So, you two haven't eaten?"

"Well-"

"Because you know they have this little outdoor place close by that serves great food."

Smiling, she looked down knowing just which restaurant he was referring to since she passed by there quite a few times but never went in. It was in fact the same place he had talked about that time back in the ski lodge which was why she found it difficult to even consider going there.

Upon seeing the hesitation on her face, he quickly added. "Its family owned and not overpriced with great food."

Nodding she now looked up finding it thoughtful that he knew exactly what to say to try and convince her and couldn't find another reason to decline…except one. "Bakugo, I don't think it's a good idea."

"Why not?" Frowning he looked between her and her son since it wasn't like her to usually decline cheap food.

"Just because I…"

When he saw her try and come up with more excuses, he felt panic quickly overtaking his features when he realized the gears must be turning in her head. "It's just food Round face nothing more, so let's not make a big deal out of it."

"Just food?" she warily asked before biting down on her lip when she heard her traitorous stomach growl.

"Just food." He nodded with the hint of a smile having heard that.

X

After half an hour Uraraka found herself truly enjoying her meal scolding herself for never coming here before. "This taste really good." She nodded as she took another bite.

"Told you." He smirked as he shoved more food into his own mouth. They were currently seated outside since the weather was nice and he preferred that over the big crowd inside. Kiseki was sitting in his stroller happily drinking his milk and facing Uraraka. Whenever he would see some of the milk running down the boys' chin, she would quickly wipe it off while making goofy baby faces. He thought it was weird at first and wondered why the hell she was even doing it until he heard the baby laugh and eagerly continued to drink his milk.

He did find it cute too he guesses, but it's not something he's going to tell her of course. Shaking those thoughts out of his mind he didn't realize he had been staring so long until Uraraka had stopped doing what she was doing. "What?"

"N-nothing." Quickly placing more food into her mouth, she began looking anywhere else even as her cheeks reddened. Why was she feeling so nervous? If she didn't know any better, she'd think she was probably looking like a schoolgirl with a crush!

She was however thankful when he just shrugged it off and instead began eating the last of his food. The moment was only short lived when he suddenly felt milk splatter on his face after Kiseki dropped his bottle on the table. A few seconds of silence passed between them Uraraka quickly burst out laughing.

"The heck you looking at? Something on my face?" Chewing on what remained in his mouth he kept the scowl on his face even as she handed him a napkin.

"I'm so sorry it's just…" Trying to stifle her laugh she felt herself closing her eyes as she continued laughing. "You're face…"

Clearing his throat he roughly grabbed the napkin and began trying to clean himself. "Yeah yeah laugh it up Round face." He mumbled glancing sideways when he saw a quick flash.

"I'm really sorry Bakugo." She said after she was finally able to calm down and breathe normally. Wiping a small tear from her eyes she saw him studying her and before she could hear what he was about to say felt her phone ring. "Oh sorry it's my mom."

"I got him."

"No, it's fine I can call her after."

"It could be important for all you know." When he saw her hesitate some more, he rolled his eyes. "I got it."

"Are you sure?" When she saw him nod, she quickly excuses herself. "I won't be long I promise." She said before quickly answering her phone and moving a few feet away.

"Hey Sweety!"

"Hi Mom, how are you?" she asked peeking over her shoulder to see Bakugo scooting his chair closer to pick up the bottle Kiseki had dropped again before handing it back to him.

Rubbing his head, he carefully leaned over to peer inside the stroller where he saw an awaiting boy staring back at him before he dropped his bottle again. This time after picking it up he placed it on the table and leaned back in his chair as he waited for Uraraka to come back.

"When are you coming to visit?" Mrs. Uraraka asked.

"I'm not sure yet but hopefully soon. I haven't seen everyone since I've been back, so it'll be nice to do that." She smiled remembering the many letters her mom brought her when she visited her overseas all addressed from Hotaru and Ichiro.

When she peered over her shoulder again, she had to cover her mouth from giggling as her mom continued talking when she saw her son now decide to play with one of his toys and drop it.

Bakugo's face changed from impatience to annoyance whenever the child did it again and again. Calmly breathing through his nose, he leaned sideways resting his arm on the back of his chair. "I see what you're doing brat and I'm not picking it up anymore…nope…. doesn't matter how many…" tapping his finger on the table he cringed when he heard another toy fall. Snapping his head sideways Bakugo eyed the kid for a good minute and swore he stared back with a hidden smile eagerly clapping his chubby hands together.

"Tch." Picking up the toys he quickly grabbed a napkin to wipe the boys droll of his chin and he couldn't help but compare him to Uraraka when he was done. But when he heard the sound of a toy dropping again, he felt the vein on his forehead about to pop before snapping his head sideways. "Ura-"

"I'm here!" She beamed down at both of them as she sat herself down and picked up the toy.

"Everything alright?" he asked seeing the way her eyes went from adoration to sadness in an instance.

"Yeah yeah! Just miss being home I guess." Placing a strand of hair behind her ear he saw her face take on a faraway look that he couldn't put his finger on but could only guess that that was only half of the truth.

Clearing his throat, he decided the best thing was to not make it his business to know. If she wanted to tell him what was really bothering her then she would tell him and until then, he might as well tell her the reason for this little outing. "Listen Round face I'm going to be straight with you. The reason I asked you here today was to know why you won't let me help you guys." When he saw her about to respond he quickly added. "I know you've given me some lame excuses but none of which tells me why you won't let me."

"Bakugo…if I you want me to be honest…" her voice came out small no matter how much she tried not to.

"Is it because you don't think I can cut it?"

"Yes." Glancing up she could tell he hadn't expected that. "You would be the last person I'd want working on this." She inwardly hated herself for telling him this. But if it helped get him as far away from this as possible then she had no choice.

Bitterly scoffing, he let his eyes wander around at the few people walking by before regarding her again. "You know…the Ipponmichi have hurt so many people. Most of which we don't even know. But believe me when I say that you're not the only one that wants to bring them down, we all do."

"I'm sorry Bakugo…but I can't." Getting to her feet she quickly maneuvered the stroller past the chairs with his help. "But I better be going. I'll see you later Bakugo."

Nodding, he slowly watched her leave before he sat himself back down and stared at her half-eaten plate. "Later Round face…"
