Chapter 2: Newville:

Story:

The Grinch hates Christmas, the whole Christmas season. No one knows the reason. Could it be that his socks are too tight? Could it be that his head isn't screwed on just, right? No, I think the reason is that his heart is two sizes two small.

"Look at this town," says the Grinch. A car then crashes into a wall. It was because of the Grinch. He was having a ball. The Grinch then hands a saw to some little girls. He felt like the happiest grinch in the world.

Meanwhile, Cindy and her dad, Lou were doing their late Christmas shopping, but Cindy wishes they could be stopping. "Dad, doesn't this seem a little too much," asks Cindy.

"There's never too much Christmas," says Lou, "not one inch!"

Lou has said inch, but the people thought he said grinch!

"Grinch?"

"Grinch?"

"What do you want," asks Grinch, "I mean... Grinch? Oh no!"

"Lou," says Mayor Augustus, "did you say Grinch?"

"No, I said inch," says Lou.

"Good, because we don't want any grinchy propels for our big show," says the Mayor, "wait, is grinchy a word? Whatever."

"I, assure you, Mr. Mayor, I said nothing about the Grinch," says Lou.

"I know I didn't vote for him," says Grinch. The Grinch and Max were at the grocery store and with all the Christmas celebrating, Grinch feels he cannot take any more.

Grinch and Max then exited the store, and he can go home and put up with this, nevermore.

Cindy was about to cross the road, but she then saw a car was coming her way. Cindy was scared, but her foot was stuck, and she was forced to stay.

The Grinch was going to ignore it, feeling he could not care. Cindy thought she was doomed, as she could not go anywhere. Then Cindy had a big surprise. The Grinch saved her before her very eyes. "You're..."

"Yes, I'm the Grinch!"

"You saved me," says Cindy.

The Grinch wanted to make sure Cindy told no man, so he puts her in a trash can. "Max, let's go!"

Cindy was wondering, 'Why did she save me? Maybe he's not that bad, maybe'.
