"Open your eyes…"

"Young man…open your eyes…"

Midoriya opened his green eyes slowly, then gasped as he took in his surroundings. He was still in his pajamas that he went to sleep in, but he was definitely NOT in his room anymore. He was surrounded by nothing but a void of light. There were billowing clouds that looked like a green mist that kept rolling in from all sides.

He whimpered and shook, tears already falling down his face. "D-Did I die?"

"No, young man."

Midoriya gasped and turned toward the voice. A being surrounded by blue-green light was floating before him. It seemed to be part animal: his skin seemed to be covered in black fur; he had ears that were long and hung out toward the side. He had white hair that went down to his ankles with two forelocks framing his face. He was wearing clothes that reminded Midoriya of ancient times: A top that seemed to resemble the necklaces that Pharaohs were known to wear and bottom pants that seemed to billow out near the bottom. He was wearing a necklace that could've been used as a mask.

He was staring at Izuku with parental eyes. "I can tell…you're trying to figure out what I am."

Midoriya gaped and got down on his knees. "I'm so sorry! That was rude, please forgive me!" The creature chuckled and held up his hand.

"There's no need to apologize, young man. Please stand." Midoriya nodded and stood up.

"It's no surprise that you don't know what I am. You see, I come from a different universe."

Midoriya gaped, "A different universe?! So multiverses exist? That could be…and….then the world would…"

"It's always nice to hear how jubilant a young mind can be…" Midoriya immediately stopped, a shy blush on his cheeks.

"Did I mutter again? I-I'm sorry-it's one of my biggest flaws."

"No-showing excitement in the world is a strength and if you have to mutter, it shows how exuberant you care about the world. NEVER apologize for being who you are, which is not a flaw, by the way."

"My name is Rauru. I am the first king of Hyrule."

"Hyrule?"

"My kingdom. It's from very far away. And I am a creature known as the Zonai-we were thought to be descendants of gods."

Midoriya nodded, "There does to be something majestic about you."

Rauru smiled, "Thank you for the compliment. But really, I'm just a person. But that's not why I'm here. In the tens of thousands of years I've been dead-"

"You're dead?!" Midoriya gaped in shock.

"Please let me finish, young man."

Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"I've seen different universes or worlds. In another world related to this one, both men and women have quirks; you grow to be a Pro-Hero…the greatest."

Midoriya sighed longingly, "And this one, I'll become nothing."

Rauru floated closer to the boy, "No. You'll become a hero. And I already started to help you. Look at your right arm."

Midoriya looked down and gaped: his fleshy arm turned into a black-furred arm. There was a strange metal glove made with bronze and gold. He lifted up his pajama sleeve: the black fur continued up to his mid-arm where some separate markings were splayed across the rest of his arm to the right side of his chest. On each of the fingers of the glove were glowing stones of different color: red, blue, green, orange, and purple.

"Besides already having a set of abilities, this glove also harnesses the power of ancient sages: beings who already had incredible power within their villages and who I asked to help stop a horrific evil."

Rauru gestured to the glove:

"On the thumb of the glove, you have the sacred stone, for the sage of Fire."

The red stone lit up. A figure that looked like two boulders on top of each other with arms and legs stood before him. His steps were a bit wary but filled with inner fire. The red stone was pressed against his stomach by a belt. Midoriya straightened as he felt himself being watched. The shadow tilted its head and nodded in approval. It reached forward and gave Midoriya a hearty pat on the back. It stood beside him, facing Rauru.

"On the index finger, you have the sacred stone, for the sage of Water."

The blue stone had sparks that appeared like bubbles. When the light died down, the outline of a person that seemed to have a dolphin fin on his head appeared. The same blue stone was placed inside a glove pressed on the outside of his hand. The figure was holding a trident as if in battle. It marched determined toward the child. Midoriya gazed up at it. The shadow placed a hand on his head and ruffled the green hair. It stood beside the sage of Fire.

"For the middle finger, you have the sacred stone, for the sage of Spirit."

The purple stone gleamed. With the glow, a machine made from strange green stones appeared in front of him. There were glowing characters on its' neck. It's appendages were made of pure, purple light, and there was a mask that looked like the face of an owl. The same glowing stone that was on the glove was in the center of its chest. The construct knelt before the boy, observing him. Midoriya seemed to have passed its test because it gave him a tiny nod and stood at its full height. It stood beside the Sage of Water

"On the ring finger, you have the sacred stone, for the sage of Lightning."

A spark appeared on the stone in question. With the glow, the outline of a teenage girl wearing some sort of desert outfit. A crown was on top of her head and she was carrying two daggers. The yellow stone was displayed proudly on her ear in the form of an earring. The girl walked forward, white eyes narrowed at the boy. She knelt down in a warrior stance, not moving. After a few moments, the girl relaxed and walked forward, placing a hand on Midoriya's shoulder in a welcoming gesture. She moved and stood beside Midoriya's other side.

"And on the pinkie, you have the sacred stone, for the sage of Wind."

The green stone glowed brightly. When the glow receded, there was a shadowy shape of some kind of bird-person. It looked to be about the size of a child, but there was a definite strength in the white gaze. Its hair was tied up in a top knot and there was the same stone wrapped around its ankle. The silhouette gave a sharp nod to Midoriya and flew around him in a circle. He landed beside the sage of Lightning.

"And finally, the power from the sage of Time."

His hand, his full hand glowed a soft golden color. A melodious roar broke through the silence. A dragon made of pure light flew toward the boy. Her blue eyes gazed at him as if she saw right through all of his hidden pain. Midoriya shakily held out his hand. The dragon pressed her snout against his palm, filling him with an ease that he hadn't felt since he was four. She vanished in sparkles of light, enveloping Midoriya in a comforting glow.

Midoriya gazed at the glove in awe. He then turned toward Rauru, tears of joy filling his eyes.

"Y-you're going to help me become a…" He was too touched to continue.

Rauru smiled with a paternal gentleness at the sobbing teen.

"We'll begin your training tomorrow, young man. Get some rest."

A dark gentle blackness enveloped Midoriya's senses and he gave in to sleep.

….

Midoriya yawned, looking up at the ceiling. He sighed wistfully. "Well, that was a nice dream. It gave me some hope. Wonder what is going onnnnnnnnaaaaahhhhhhh!" His right hand was still covered in the black fur and the glove from his dream was still on.

"Oh…so it wasn't a dream…"

"Young man."

Midoriya gaped, "Rauru?" A fatherly chuckle responded to his question. "Yes, it's me. Meet me at Dagobah Beach. Your first training regiment begins today."

…..

Bakugou ran on the trail, water bottle in hand. She hummed to herself as she listened to her music. A yell interrupted her mellow, causing her to scowl. The yell that sounded a lot like Deku.

She growled in anger but the very, very miniscule part of her was worried. She kept running for a few more paces until her conscience and worry pressured her to a halt. Letting out a groan, she ran to where she heard the nerd yell.

She looked out at the beach where Deku was. He was staring out onto the ocean where piles of trash were visible over the waves. He raised his hand, palm up. Three heavy bags of trash were being lifted out of the water-

WHAT?!

She dropped her bottle, breath caught in her throat. She was numb as she observed Deku letting out little groans as he shakily moved his hand toward a tiny pile he had made on the sand. He curled his hand into a fist and a fiery explosion was created on the tiny trash pile, evaporating it into nothing.

Two quirks.

Deku.

A male.

Had two quirks.

And he never told her.

Bakugou picked up her water bottle and walked back to her house in silence…

….

Rauru watched the boy with pride in his gaze. "That was very good, my boy. You're getting a great start on the Ultrahand ability." Midoriya let out quiet pants as he smiled at the spirit.

"Does it become easier?" Rauru laughed. "Like everything, the more you practice, the easier it becomes." He gestured to the water bottle they bought. "Take a small break. I'm going to teach you how to use Fuse next."

Midoriya was intrigued but did as bade.

….

It was a couple of weeks until the UA Entrance Exam and Midoriya couldn't be more excited. He mastered Ultrahand, Ability, Recall, Fuse, and Camera. He also mastered how to use the mages' powers. Rauru taught him how to create a wind glider in order to use the wind mages' power more efficiently.

After he mastered all of the abilities, he told his mother that he had somehow gained a quirk. He gave her proof by using his ability to connect fallen books on top of each other and then move the small stack out of her way. She had cried and took him into her arms with pure joy. He cried with her and they went out for sushi to celebrate.

Kacchan had been acting weird. She used to say hateful words to him and try to burn him with her quirk. Now, it seemed like she was pretending he didn't exist. He's not going to lie; that kind of hurt a little bit. But he focused on getting stronger, using Ultrahand under his desk to levitate a mechanical pencil he kept in his pocket.

He never noticed ruby-red eyes studying him.

…..

This was it.

The day had finally arrived to try to enroll into UA.

The start of him becoming a hero.

He proudly looked at his right hand, the stones gleaming with power, as if they too were being prepared for the exam.

He grabbed his lunch and ran towards the school that he was determined to enroll in for the next four years.
