Midoriya looked over at his right side, smiling at the Fire sage, Water sage, and Spirit sage. He then turned toward his left, seeing the Lightning sage and the Wind sage.
He had to be careful though. Rauru told him that he was the only one who could see the sages-he didn't want anybody to think he was crazy.
He also found out that the glove Rauru mentioned is connected to his arm and cannot come off-something that Midoriya was happy about. It felt like it was an actual power instead of a support item.
A soft roar rumbled in his heart. He placed a hand on his chest and softly smiled at the Time Sages' form of encouragement. He looked up, feeling his face turn red as a lot of girls were looking at him in confusion (and a little disgust). He let out a wary chuckle and turned his face to the ground.
A soft scent of caramel filled the air along with a splash of ozone and Midoriya realized Bakugou was walking behind him. He cautiously stopped and looked back. The blonde was wearing a tank-top, yoga pants, and a light jacket. Her spiky hair was up in its usual ponytail.
She looked up at him for a few seconds, then glared in front of her. She briskly walked past Midoriya, not looking back.
He took a step forward, "K-Kacchan, wait!" The girl paused but didn't turn around. He continued, "It's…it's been a while."
Bakugou turned around, her red eyes dark and blank. She seemed to be looking into the depths of his soul, causing him to shiver.
"Yes, it has." Turning around, she walked towards the school.
….
What WAS that?! Is me being here really bother her that much?!
To Midoriya, Bakugou was the scariest being on the face of the earth right now. He let out another shiver and walked forward…only to trip.
Great! Another embarrassing experience that is described as my life!
"Oh, whoa there!" A hand touched his arm, causing him to stop falling. He looked down and saw that he was hovering a few inches off the ground.
"WHOA!"
"You almost fell there. Are you one of the teachers' assistants for the exam?" He looked up, coming face-to-face with a cute teenage girl. She had brown hair in a bob, chocolate-brown eyes, and pink cheeks. She was wearing a black jacket that went all the way down to her knees and a cream-colored scarf.
The pads of her fingers were covered in swirls that were faintly lit with a pink glow. She was smiling kindly, causing him to go red again.
"Oh, eh-heh-heh…no. I-I'm one of the applicants for the exam…"
The girl smiled, "Oh yeah. They're allowing men in the exam now. You're very brave deciding to come here." She held out her hand, "I'm Uraraka."
He took hers, in awe that there was at least ONE FEMALE that was nice to him. "I'm Midoriya."
She grinned, "Well, good luck to us both!"
He nodded, smiling shyly, "Yeah!"
…
Midoriya watched as the Wind Mage flew around the arena, looking every which way. It seemed that he was the only boy out of five other males that was entering in Heroics. Sighing, he went to his assigned seat.
It was none other than Kacchan! The blonde, feeling his presence, looked up and scowled. He held out a waving hand, "I'm sorry-I'm supposed to sit here!" She let out a 'Tch!' but looked back down at her paper. He let out a relieved sigh and gingerly walked around her, making sure not to touch her.
Sitting down, he looked at the glove of his arm. Oh so subtly, he activated the 'Camera' function on his arm.
It was really cool! How it worked was he waved his hand in an upper-right motion. A screen that was visible only to him materializes over his glove. In the middle of the screen was a button that cell phone cameras have that people press to take a picture. He takes the picture and the screen changes to a freeze-frame of the picture he took.
But the REALLY fun part was that a bar appears under the picture and it identifies what's on the screen.
When he clicks on the bar, it displays the name, the quirk that the person uses, what the quirk does, and some facts about the person in general. To Midoriya, it was an encyclopedia of information about quirks, and he LOVED IT! He always made sure to delete the photo of the person though-he didn't want to seem like a pervert.
He didn't dare take one of Kacchan (he honestly already knew everything about her at this point, so there was no need to take one anyway) but he managed to spot the Uraraka girl a few feet away. He took a silent photo and looked at his screen. She had been talking to a pink-skinned girl in an animated conversation and she looked so pretty.
Feeling a blush coming on, he hit the bar under the photo.
Ochako Uraraka:
Loves rice and mochi
Quirk: Gravity
Her power greatly reduces the weight of
anything she touches!
"Wow, that's amazing!"
"Shut up, Deku!"
He gasped as the loud voice broke his concentration. The loud blonde caused great attention to all the girls near them, causing a lot of them to gasp and whisper at the fact that there was a male in Heroics. He covered his face with his hand as a shield
"HEY, YA'LL!"
The whispers abruptly stopped as a very, VERY loud voice echoed across the gymnasium. Midoriya looked up at the speaker and let out an awe-filled squeak.
It was a woman looking down at them. Her blonde hair was lifted in a mohawk. She had purple sunglasses and onyx earrings. She was wearing a frilly white dress with a black jacket, black fingerless gloves, and lavender headphones. To complete the ensemble were white tights, black boots with a bit of a heel, and spiked kneepads.
She gave the crowd a 'V' symbol and a wink. "WELCOME TO THE UA ENTRANCE EXAM! CAN I GET A 'YEAH'?!"
Midoriya just pumped his fist in silence. The woman giggled, "Tough crowd… Anyway, my name is Present Mic and we're all really excited for you to be here. If you look at your pieces of paper, you will see an 'A' or 'B'. The ones who have received an 'A' will go to arena 'A' and the same for the 'B's."
Bakugou growled, "Great! I can't beat you up."
Midoriya ignored her in favor of taking a quick pic of Present Mic.
"Are there any questions?"
A stiff, slender hand shot up. "Yes, you in the back?!" The woman in question was a tall, toned young woman with shoulder-length blue hair. Her blue eyes were serious as she looked at the Pro Hero. She was wearing glasses and a tracksuit.
She spoke up, "Actually Ms. Present Mic, there is one…" She turned and walked over to where Midoriya was. She abruptly slammed her hand in front of him, causing him to tear his gaze away from the information on the screen.
"Why is there a male here?! I was told that this school was fit for heroes and men are…well…" Midoriya looked up at the woman, who was looking at him in a haughty way. At the corner of his eye, he saw Bakugou looking between the two of them.
Present Mic cleared her throat, "Males are allowed to be here, Miss...?"
"Tenya. Iida Tenya."
The woman continued, "Ms. Iida. That being said, quirkism and feminism are highly frowned upon here. If you are going to have a problem with him, you'll have no place here."
Iida began chopping her arm in a robotic manner, "Just confused, ma'am! I never knew about that new rule! I thought he was a rulebreaker that managed to get into this school! My apologies!" She then turned toward Midoriya and bowed her head.
"My apologies!"
Midoriya blushed nervously, wringing his hands around, "Uh, no, it's-it's fine!"
Bakugou slowly turned back to the front.
….
Midoriya took his glider out of the holder that was wrapped around his back. A bunch of girls were gathered around him, talking to themselves in little groups. He knew they were talking about him with the way they were pointing and glaring.
He ignored them as best he could and opened his glider out. It was a deep green background with teal splotches. There was a red swirl design around the border in honor of quirkless individuals (the insulting red shoes, dang it!).
Rauru had placed some of his magic in it so that when the teal parts are against the sun, they start to glow.
"Izuku…remember your dream and why you're here. These young ladies are going to become your comrades someday. You've accomplished great things in the short amount of time we trained. Trust yourself, young man."
Midoriya smiled at the words of his mentor. "Yeah. I will…"
"Excuse me?!"
"Huh?" Midoriya looked up toward Iida, who was powerful walking towards him.
"You're that guy I talked to earlier. Just remember not to embarrass the hard-working women of tomorrow." The bluenette crossed her arms, wearing a haughty expression.
"O-Okay.."
…..
"Alright! On your mark...! Get set...! GO!" Midoriya ran the moment she said go. Looking around, he saw a couple of robots flying towards him. Calling on the power of the Water Sage, he encased himself with a ball of water. He grabbed a nearby pipe and swung the makeshift weapon around. A sharp blade of water formed with the pipes' movement and the attack sped off facing the direction Midoriya was looking. The water split the two robots in half, ending their existence.
He looked at one of the towers that were meant to look like they were destroyed by villains. Using Ascend, he passed through the second floor of the open-faced building. He activated Ultrahand and lifted one of the robots. He made sure to smash it against the other robot, both of them deactivated.
He took out his Wind Glider and began gliding above the battlefield, silently using the Wind Sage's power to increase his speed…
…
"Hmm…there seems to be a lot of interesting applicants this year…especially him." The principal enlarged a video of Midoriya gliding, his green eyes narrowed in concentration. When it seemed that he had found what he was looking for, he let go.
He managed to land safely on his feet and began running to a cluster of robots. He held out his hand, turning it into a fist. An explosion erupted a few feet exactly where the fist was aiming at.
A black-haired, black-eyed woman narrowed her eyes at the boy. Yes, she couldn't deny that there was something impressive about the child. However, she didn't like males and she had a sinking feeling that the principal was going to assign the boy into her class. Her hair defied gravity and her eyes grew red with her irritation.
"What is your problem Shoko?" The woman turned toward her best friend/sister Kayama Nemuri, AKA Midnight.
"It's just…I know Neza is going to put that boy in my class."
Midnight frowned, "Ah yes…you and men. You know Shoko, you shouldn't be acting like a racist." Shoko growled.
"I'm not racist-!"
"You think of ALL men being less than women and not even giving them a chance to prove themselves. Therefore, you are racist."
Neza shushed the two women before it turned into a full-out brawl.
