Thank you so much for the review guest! I'm glad you like it and if anyone has any ideas please be free to let me know. Also, this is kind of a weird chapter, but something I'd expect to happen if Batman died and they both had Batgirl. Barbara Gordon also was in a coma for a while, so I think it makes sense.
It had been too long for Barbara Gordon. She felt like she had been asleep for ages. The last thing she remembered was something suddenly hitting the back of her head and the rest was nothing!
Was she even in the Asylum anymore? Had it all been a bad dream? Where was Batman and Tim Drake?
Suddenly from the dark, she saw a light and a figure walked up to her. Barbara tried making sense of it, but darkness took her again.
A voice started singing and it sounded like what she and Batman heard when they entered the Asylum to find Tim.
"The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout. Down came the rain, and washed the spider out." The voice got softer and Barbara opened her eyes to see a dark hallway, but she heard rain. "Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain, and the itsy bitsy spider," She looked up and saw a white face that had what appeared to be a red and black outfit on. She also saw a door and then was hit with instant light while the voice kept on singing. "went up the spout again."
The room around her was familiar, but then it hit her, this was the Operating Theater! It was where she attacked Harley Quinn and where Batman fought Joker!
Then her heart started beating really fast when she realized that Harley Quinn was the one singing and pushing her!
She tried to get out but realized she was in a wheelchair and had a jacket of some kind on.
"Don't try it, Bratgirl." Warned the voice.
"H-Harley?" Asked Barbara Gordon.
She was then pushed over to a table and Harley went over to the kitchen. She then looked to her left. "Puddin! JJ! Time to eat!" She yelled.
Joker was first to the table then was JJ. Both of the clown's sat down at the table and paid no attention to Barbara Gordon.
Harley went over to her and put a plate of pancakes in front of the captured heroine.
She wondered what the two clown's had in store for her after what she saw with Tim Drake. How they broke him and rebuilt the young boy.
"What is this?" She asked.
Harley looked at her. "It's breakfast." The jester said in her normal voice.
But that wasn't what Barbara wanted to know! She wanted to know what type of sick cruel plans were in store for her!
She looked around and saw Joker smiling and reading the newspaper and Tim eating pancakes with his fork.
"I can't believe this!" Said the clown prince of chaos in an angry voice.
He threw what he was reading to the side and Harley walked up to him. "What is it, puddin?" Asked the former psychiatrist.
"Look at these job offerings!" Barbara Gordon couldn't help but wonder why Joker was so angry about the newspaper! He even kills people on a whim and has done millions of crimes! Why would he want to have a job? Why would he need one?
"This is no joke! How am I supposed to feed my family if they don't allow a homicidal maniac to work more than minimum wage?!" He angrily asked his technically not wife.
She rubbed his shoulder. "Aw puddin, I'm sure the kids don't mind."
Barbara Gordon couldn't help but notice that Harley said 'kids'. Are they implying that she's their child? Because that's not true! She would find a way out of here and send them both back to Arkham and get Tim some help. Maybe even have a funeral for Batman. The thought of it saddened her that Batman, her former mentor, and friend, was killed by the Joker and Harley Quinn.
"I'll just rob a bank!" Said Joker with an evil grin.
"Sounds like a plan, puddin," Harley said while kissing her technically not-husband.
Joker in return kissed her back and Harleen looked at Batgirl. "Oops, I forgot that you can't move." She said.
Harley walked over to Barbara and cut up a pancake with a fork and tried to feed it to her, but Barbara spat it out.
"Hey, that was rude!" She said pointing at her.
"I'm not eating anything that you made Harleen," Batgirl said angrily.
Harley looked at Joker. "Mistah J, I think we need to teach junior some manners!"
"We may have to, Pooh."
Barbara didn't know what type of manners they intended on teaching her, but she was pretty sure it involved what they did to Tim!
"Do you want any syrup?" Asked Harley.
The captured heroine looked at the clown girl dead in the eyes. "Stop living in this imaginary world." Joker and JJ looked over at Barbara Gordon. "I'm not your child! Tim isn't your child! And you both need help!"
Both Joker and Harley put on sour faces and the clown prince of crime wasn't very happy. He was actually angry that someone dares yell at him and in his household!
Harley pulled up a chair and looked at Barbara. "Listen Bratgirl! I could've killed you, but I made sure to nurse you back to help like the mother I am!" She slapped the heroine in the face. "You will learn to respect me and Mr. J in this household!"
She kept her gaze on Barbara for a little bit, but then went over to the fridge and pulled out some milk. "I didn't want to have to do this." She began pouring a glass. "It was never the plan, but both knew that Robin wouldn't respect us and you wouldn't either after I began nursing you back to health." She finished pouring the glass and looked over at the heroine while Joker did as well.
"So we did what we had to do to stop all the fun, laughs, and gags!" He walked over to Batgirl and looked down at her. "Even though it was loads of laughs, we figured it was time to move on with our lives and have a family of our own." Explained Joker with an evil grin. "But of course, you should realize by now that everyone in the family needs a little bit of molding." He pointed at the former psychiatrist. "Just look at my lovely little Harley. She needed a tad bit of molding herself." Harley went over to Batgirl and handed the glass of milk to her.
Barbara looked at the glass of milk and had just anger boiling deep inside her for everything they've done. She tried to struggle again, but since she was in a straight jacket and tied up, there wasn't a whole lot she was able to do.
"Trust me that straightjacket won't come undone. Made sure of it myself." Joker said with the same laugh he gave Batman after baiting him.
"Whatever! I'll get out of here!" Promised Batgirl.
"Oh don't worry we know you will, but it's just that me and your mother have to, how should I say this, bring you over to our side."
"You mean to make me go insane!"
"Being insane is just a term and it has no place in our family." Said Joker.
Harley looked at the glass of milk and realized that Barbara can't move! How could she have been this stupid and blind?
"I'm sorry! Mommy is so stupid sometimes! I keep on forgetting that you're unable to move!" Apologized Harley.
"Because you don't want me to move!" Batgirl said.
Harley raised her fist. "Now don't you talk to your mother that way!"
"Manners is however something in our family and I'm afraid you need to learn those! You simply have been around the old bat for far too long and need to learn how to speak like a proper woman." Joker said with an evil smile, but yet a fatherly tone.
"You and Harley are not my mother!" Yelled Batgirl.
Barbara looked over at the former psychiatrist by Joker's side. "Harley, you can still have a life if you let me just help you." Said Batgirl.
Barbara thought maybe somewhere in Harley was that sane psychiatrist that once worked in this same building at one point.
Harley looked at Barbara. "I have a life with Mistah J and my children! You just need to learn to have fun. You've been around that bat for too long and he's clouded your mind." She stated angrily.
Barbara was definitely frightened about what was going to happen next! She was around two insane clowns that didn't have the best intentions.
Joker got up and straightened his flower. "Pooh, I think it's about time we add a Harley Junior to our little brood."
"Ok, puddin!" Harley said with a smile.
Suddenly she felt a sting and saw Harley holding a syringe. "What did you stick me with?"
Harley gave an evil smile. "Just something to help you sleep. Relax me and Mr. J are going to take good care of you. I promised I'd make everything right."
The last words Harley spoke rang in her ears 'I promise I'd make everything right' then everything was fuzzy around her. Barbara fought to keep her eyes open, but it wasn't enough because soon the darkness overtook her again.
She didn't even feel Joker and Harley removing her from the wheelchair.
