Hello everyone
After looking at my old Damocles story, it has dawned on me that I haven't really focused on the Avenger side which is why I'm making this remake where Jason is going to focus on the MCU and then he'll travel across the multiverse.
Anyway, here's the synopsis for this first chapter: Jason Cole was your typical fanboy who also loved movies and other media. But his life is turned around when he dies in an accident and then finds himself in a black void where an unknown entity gives him an offer of a lifetime
This is the story of Damocles: The Avenger
Onto the story
For Face claim: Jason is played by a younger Ryan Gosling. I've seen some of his movies namely The Gray Man, Blade Runner 2049, and the one where he can do some comedy as well from the Barbie Movie.
(I only own my OC, any character that shows up belongs to their respective companies)
Origins
Night time in the real world
"Uh, the MCU is dropping the ball on their movies as of late. " Someone commented, watching the latest MCU movie which was The Marvel's.
The person who said this was Jason Cole, who since a young age has watched every single superhero movies and TV shows.
At a young age, he has loved superheroes and villains in every media known to man and has always dreamed he could be a hero one day. So, Jason started to watch all the TV shows, movies, and playing the games so he can know everything about them. On some Halloweens he would dress up as either Batman or Spider-Man, as they are his favorite heroes of all time.
When Jason got older, he began to watch the beginning of the MCU that started off with none other than Tony Stark aka Iron-Man.
And now, he's finished watching The Marvel's movie, which didn't seem all that great to him.
But his life is about to change soon in a big way.
Putting his phone back in his pocket, "If Marvel Studios keeps this up then they are going to lose a lot of money and people who won't be interested in what they are selling. You know, if I had my way I could change everything in the MCU." Jason says smiling at how cool that would be.
"Look out!" A lady across the street yelled.
Jason wondered why that woman yelled, but then something rammed into him at full speed and then Jason saw complete darkness.
The Void
That didn't last long for Jason, because he finds himself in some kind of white void.
"Where the hell am I?" Jason asked himself, looking all around him, but everywhere he looked was completely white.
Seeing no other way out, Jason sits down to think over some things namely how he got here in the first place. "OK, what happened before I ended up here? I was enjoying my day as usual, went to visit some of my friends, had a cheeseburger with a soda, and I finished up watching The Marvel's movie and then" It now finally came to him what happened next "A lady from across the street yelled at me to look out, something rammed into me and now I'm here." Jason says, realizing what happened.
He was hit by a car and now he's dead.
"Well, this sucks." Jason says, getting up and looking at his surroundings again, figuring out what this place now is "If this is heaven, never would have thought it would look like this." A disappointed Jason says.
"No Jason, this isn't heaven" A loud voice tells him.
"WHAT THE HELL, WHO SAID THAT!" Jason yells in shock at the sudden voice. He looked in every direction, but he couldn't see anyone.
The voice speaks again with an aggressive tone "You won't be able to see me, Jason. So calm the hell down and I'll explain where you're at right now." The voice advises him
Taking the unknown entity's advice, Jason calms down "OK, I'm calm now. So can please tell me what's going on and who exactly are you?" Jason asked the unknown entity.
"I'll be happy to, my name is Eternity and you are in the place known as the void. As you've already figured out your death which was due to being hit by a semi-truck, that was coming right at you. But you see, I've been keeping a good eye on you Jason, and I've decided you are the perfect choice." Eternity tells Jason this.
Crossing his arms, "Perfect choice? For what?" Jason asked Eternity.
His question was answered when dozens of small screens circled him which showed people and others that weren't human at all.
Looking at some of them, Jason knew who some of these people were and realized now why he was chosen for this.
All the small screens soon disappear, "Now you know why you're here, Jason?" Eternity asked him.
"Yeah, I do. And you don't have to ask, I'm on board all the way." A smiling Jason says to Eternity.
Eternity laughs at this for a bit, before getting back on track, "Before I send you, I need to give you something that will help you in travels across the multiverse." Eternity says
Wondering what Eternity meant by that, Jason saw himself glowing a little bit and then the glowing soon stopped, "Hey Eternity, what did you just do?" Jason asked the entity.
"Haha, you'll figure it out soon enough, Jason. Also, here's some advice: don't scream." Eternity advises Jason.
"What do you-Ahhhhhhhhhhhh" Jason wasn't able to finish his question, due to him falling down a hole made by Eternity.
Eternity laughs at this, "Hahaha, this is about to be good." A smiling Eternity says.
MCU - daytime
"Ahhhhh, ow" Jason yells, falling on the ground in some nearby alley as the hole that brought him here disappears.
Quickly off the ground, Jason cracked his back from the fall "If that was Eternity's way of giving me a heads up, then it sucked. Now where am I?" Jason asked himself.
Looking all around him, he's in some back alley. With that part done, Jason now needed to figure out which universe he was in.
Walking out of the back alley, Jason sees several people walking around enjoying their time. But Jason noticed something far away that told him all he needed to know in which universe he was in.
That said something is a huge tower that has a helipad and most importantly the huge 'A' on the tower.
He's in the MCU
"Uh, I'm in the MCU. This should be interesting." Jason says to himself.
Now knowing he's in the MCU, Jason needed to figure out which part of the MCU he's in.
Suddenly a screen appeared in front of him
At first, Jason was a little shocked at first, but once he saw what was on the screen he calmed down a little bit. On the screen is a news article that has a photo on it and a headline as well. The headline reads "Tony Stark aka Iron Man takes down The fake Mandarin"
"This is after Iron-Man 3, ok got it," Jason says, glad that this information helped him out.
Now, it's time to go to work
Jason began to make plans and strategies while also finding a place to live. But he was able to find one thanks to the universal gadget that is inside him, which he quickly deduced was the reason he glowed a little bit while he was in the Void. The next time he meets up with Eternity, Jason's going to curse the hell out of it for not telling him this little detail.
But he'll do that later because he now has to make his secret base under his house.
With the help of his gadget, Jason picked out the best parts of every secret lair in every media, and once Jason was finished he had a proud smile on his face as he looked at his secret lair. (1)
Sitting down on a couche, Jason began to think over what he plans to do next, so far he can't think of a single thing at all. "Kevin," Jason says out loud.
"Hello Jason, what can I help you with?" The voice known as Kevin asked him. But the truth is, Jason made an AI with the voice of the late Kevin Conroy to help him out on somethings and even asked him for advice as well. So, that's why when the time comes Jason plans to pay a Bruce Wayne a visit that is voiced by the late Kevin.
Rubbing his chin, "I'm hoping you can help me out on something. I'm trying to think what to do next and so far I have got nothing." Jason tells the AI this.
Everything was quiet for a second before Kevin spoke to Jason, "Going through every simulation, I believe the best course of action is to start off slow as an unknown vigilante, which will have people question on who you are but you keep them guessing. Does that help?" Kevin asked
A smile appeared on Jason's face, "Yeah Kevin, that helps a lot." Jason responded to his AI's question.
And Jason knew just where to start
2 weeks later - at a warehouse in Colorado
The man known to everyone as Director Nick Fury looks at all the unconscious men that were in the warehouse that he and his agents were currently in.
As for why Fury is here, it was due to him getting a report of someone attacking a warehouse that Shield has been keeping taps on and the person that did this was quick and he knew what he was doing. "Is there any clue on who did this?" Fury asked an agent that was close to him.
The agent shaked his head, "No sir, from what we have gathered, whoever did this didn't waste a minute on taking these men down." The agent informed him.
He didn't like that one bit, as Fury can already tell once the World Security Council gets wind of this, that's going to give him a major headache.
But things soon changed when another agent walked over to Fury, "Director I found something," The female agent tells him.
Fury looks at the agent's direction, and once he now had a confused look on his face, because the agent is holding some kind of glowing crystal. "What the hell is that?" A confused Fury asked his agent.
"I don't know sir. I found it outside the warehouse and it had a note next to it saying 'Show this to Fury' and I tested everything on it and found nothing dangerous." She informs Fury of this and hands the crystal over to him.
Looking down at the crystal in his hands, Fury is wondering how to work this thing, but he didn't have to, because the crystal activated and projected holograms so everyone in the warehouse could watch.
On-Screen Hologram Video
"I don't like this man" A worried goon says.
His friend looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "What the hell gots you so worried?" The man asked his friend.
"It's just, I have this feeling something bad is about to happen and that we're live long to see the next day." The goon tells his friend on why he's worried.
His friend just laughed at this, "Dude, you need to stop worrying. Who in their right mind would attack us? I'll tell you, no one." He tells his friend.
But he is proven wrong when the entrance door is blown open. Everyone that is watching were shocked at seeing a huge-looking figure in black armor, who is wearing a scarying looking mask as well. (2)
This monster of a man didn't give any of the men a chance to fire their guns, because he speeds around the room blinding everyone. Using his speed, he attacks the guards on the left side of the warehouse breaking every bone in the before he finally knocks them out. Finished with doing that, the monster of a man attacks the rest of the men inn the warehouse.
End of Hologram Video
Everyone was surprised when the video stopped and the holograms went back into the crystal. Fury, who's holding the crystal backed away a little bit due to the crystal suddenly disappearing.
"Sir, what the hell was that?" One of the agents asked him.
If he had an honest answer, it would be he had no fucking clue. But after what he just saw and what that monster of a man did to all these men in the warehouse, then he needed his best people on this to find out who this man is and how he came to be.
One things for sure, the man that did this, has made a HUGE impression.

(2) The battle suit that Jason is wearing is the Nanosuit from the Crysis's games, but it's 7 feet tall.
And there we have it for the first chapter of Damocles: The Avenger
Recap: In the real world we got to see Jason Cole finishing up watching the latest marvel movie which is The Marvel's, things soon change for him as he killed by a semi-truck, Jason finding himself in some kind of white void where he then meets an unknown entity called Eternity who gives him an offer of a life time which happens to be him travling across the multiverse. His first stop is the MCU where he made his secret lair, made an AI voiced by the late Kevin Conroy. 2 weeks later we see Director Nick Fury inside a warehouse full of knocked out men. Fury is soon handed a glowing crystal which shows what happened in the warehouse. Once he saw everything, Fury knew one thing for sure, the man that did this has made a HUGE impression.

There's one other thing I wanted to announce: With the permission from choejhulkp9, I'll be working on a watch-it story where the Arrowverse watch The Crimson Speedster.
Next chapter synopsis: After a job well done at the warehouse in Colorado, Jason takes a break but that doesn't last long as bumps into a certain devil of hells kitchen and a Watcher as well. All in all, this is going to be fun for Jason.
