Poppy woke up shivering, curling into herself as her own body sought out any type of warmth it could find. It was cold in their bedroom, and the pink girl realized that she was no longer tucked in under the blanket as she once were when she fell asleep. Opening her eyes, The Pop Queen glanced at the clock, squinting to see the time, finding that her alarm would not go off for another three hours.

Groaning at how early it was, Poppy rolled over and found Branch, completely wrapped up in their blanket sleeping peacefully, all bundled up and warm. Scooting closer to Branch, she tried to tug the blanket out from under him, but he was wrapped up tight like a burrito, hogging the entire blanket.

"Branch, wake up." The Pop Queen whispered gently, attempting to wake him up. The teal troll didn't move.

With her hand on his shoulder, Poppy tried to shake him awake, "Branch, baby, you are hogging the blanket." Branch still would not wake.

"Branch!" The Pop Queen shouted just a little too loud and shoved him just a little too hard, and when Branch startled awake, he fell off the side of the bed. Poppy gasped and covered her mouth with her hand, trying not to laugh.

Crawling to the other side, Poppy peeked over the edge of the bed to find Branch laying on his back, his face scrunched up in pain.

"Oh, Branch. I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Poppy was trying her best to hide the smile on her face.

The teal troll groaned as he reached up and wrapped his hand around her wrist. Poppy thought he was using her to help him up, but in a flash, she was yanked off the bed, falling onto Branch's chest with a yelp.

Wrapping his arm around her, Branch held Poppy tight against him. "M'alright, darlin'." The teal troll said smiling, and cupping her cheek as she leaned in to kiss him.

"Why'd ya go and shove me off the bed?" Branch chuckled.

"I'm sorry, baby. You were hogging the blanket and I tried to wake you because I was cold." Poppy explained, peppering his face with kisses. "I really am sorry."

"S'alright, darlin'." Branch said smiling up at you. "What time is it?"

"It's only three in the morning." Poppy said laying her head on his chest. He was so warm and she didn't want to move.

"Mm. Let's get back in bed." Branch grunted as he started to sit up. The Pop Queen wrapped her arms around his neck as Branch picked her up.

Branch settled back onto the bed and threw the blanket over the both of them as Poppy laid on top of him.

"Are ya warmin' up?" Branch asked rubbing his hand up and down Poppy's back.

Poppy hummed, resting her head against his chest, "I am. Thank you, baby."

Poppy was so warm and cozy and about to fall back to sleep when she heard Branch again. "Can I have one last kiss, darlin'?"

The Pop Queen smiled and in her sleepy daze, Poppy tilted herr head up to meet Branch's lips in a slow, warm kiss. When they pulled away, she nuzzled into Branch's neck as he held her tight, drifting back to sleep as Poppy finally felt warm again.
