What do you do when the universe is unraveling at the hands of a berserker God from another reality? If you are the Watcher, Tokei, you would break the oath you'd taken to never intervene in the events of the multiverse and gather a version of Izuku Midoriya on the brink of death and giving him a purpose in forming a team of his multiversal counterparts, stopping Godeku, and preventing the destruction of the multiverse.

Between Time and Space

For many years, Sir Deku had upheld the Kingdom of Mights honor, battling wizards and dragons and all sorts of monsters that would make most mortal men quiver in their sabatons.

But to learn that he was just one of infinite versions of himself, it was a bit of a stretch. If he hadn't been told of the danger to an infinite number of people, he would have demanded to be put back in his world, to forget the strangeness of it all. As it was, he raised his sword once more in defense of those who could not defend themselves.

But watching their so-called leader, a version of himself with retractable blades in his wrist that stood up to even his sword, the powerful One-For-All, leaping headfirst into a mysterious portal without an idea of where they were going? Well, that only served to get his sense of adventure kicking into high gear.

"FOR THE HONOR OF MY KING!"

Running into the portal, Sir Deku disappeared, and Captain Greenbeard laughed, following after his knightly look-alike.

A Colorless World

One by one, the team of ten finally stepped through into a world of black and white. They had become the only splash of color in a colorless world.

"Where are we?" A dirty version of Midoriya asked, Atlas, a powerful vigilante, and the only version of Midoriya to not be killed after meeting Godeku, asked, looking around at the world.

"According to The Watcher, this is the projected path that Godeku is taking. That means we have to warn the local heroes and Midoriya so they don't get killed. This is where we dig in and fight." A version of Midoriya smoking a cigar, Clawstrike, told him, looking around at the world.

"Does this earth have an All Might? If so, can't we just get him to make the announcement?" A dirty version of them asked, his hood and pants ripped and muddied. He was Atlas, a hero once, now a tired vigilante.

"That's the plan. That, and the Midoriya of this world." Clawstrike told them, thinking for a moment.

"Alright, teams of two, spread out! Doom, you and me, let's go. We'll be team one." He told them, a version of them in a bunny helm that had a finger sized hole on the left cheek, wearing a green and purple cape with plenty of visible armor.

"Doom does not answer to you." He told Clawstrike, watching the feral hero snarl.

"You do if you want your prize." Clawstrike told him, and while Dooms eyes narrowed, he followed after Clawstrike.

"I call the demon rabbit." A Green Lantern wearing a batsuit that looked like the Joker had decorated it spoke, the Emerald Knight, called out, looking at his hellish counterpart.

"Team two, then?" The rabbit asked, looking at the cheerful hero.

"I will go with Greenbeard." A red skinned version named Vision told them, he and the pirate taking their leave. Neither truly man nor machine, he was something else entirely.

"Then we be team three, aye." The pirate told him with a roguish grin.

"I can hang with you." Spider-Deku, a version of Midoriya Izuku who had been bitten by a genetically enhanced spider and gotten the basic abilities besides spinning webs told Nomu Deku, squatting on his shoulder and talking while the lumbering monster began to walk away from the group.

"Guess that's you and me, huh?" Atlas asked Sir Deku, who nodded in agreement.

"We are the fifth group, it seem."

Team One

"You know, Doom, I don't really care what you are in your world. Hero or villain, it doesn't matter. I chose you because you are undeniably a powerful version of ourselves. My prize is going home. Yours, well, I don't know what Watcher promised, but I bet even someone like you has wants." Clawstrike told him, scratching his green sideburns and sniffing. This world smelled like ink and paper, but it was just as real and solid as his own.

"Doom is neither villain nor is he hero. I will bring peace to my country, and then, the world, even if I must do so by force." He spoke, sensing great energy before a crack appeared in the sky.

Team Two

"If you don't mind me asking, were you born in hell, or... were you a human?" Emerald Knight asked the rabbit, who didn't bother looking over.

"Once, so many years ago, I was human, like you. I got One-For-All, I made my All Might proud, I battled villains for my country. But one day, Shigaraki got a powerboost, and no heroes could match him. So, in my final moments, a demon came to me, looking to make a deal. I took it and temporarily powered up enough that I could win, killing Shigaraki and ending the fight once and for all. But, he got me, too. So, because I'd sold my soul, I went to hell, working my way up until my power rivaled that of the demon who'd made that deal with me. Since I'm still here, I guess you know who won." The Overlord of Hell told him, watching as a crack grew in the sky.

Team Three

"Truth be told, I still don't understand wha' ye be. Machines aren't made o' flesh, but ye're squishy, aren't ye? So, care t' explain a bit more me red scallywag?" Greenbeard asked, Vision looking at his pirate counterpart.

"I am from a world where technological advances in the medical field are so advanced that a human body can be grown in a lab. I used special cells or the building blocks of life to make me stronger, faster, and more durable than the average human. I then added technology to give me superhuman abilities. Before I built this body, I was originally AI and copied memories inside of mechanical shell that only looked organic." Vision told him, and Greenbeard stroked his beard, nodding while the synthezoid spoke.

"I understand naught ye said, 'n God willin', I ne'er will." Greenbeard finally told him, clearly confused before their attention went to a crack forming in the sky.

Team Four

"There's a guy back where I'm from who's kind of like you. Sometimes he can't help being angry, and people don't like him, but he's a good person." Spider-Deku told his mutated counterpart.

"Nomu." Nomu told him, holding out his arm and looking at Spider-Deku.

"Nomu fr.. frie..." Nomu growled, gritting his teeth as he tried to get the words out, getting frustrated before Spider-Deku walked around his arm, putting his hand on the giants head.

"Yeah, we're friends." Spider-Deku told him, lifting his mask to show him a smile before a crack appeared in the sky, drawing their attention.

Team Five

"So... no offense, but what's so special about your magic sword?" Atlas asked, and Sir Deku pulled out his sword.

"It is known as One-For-All. A powerful weapon that was created by the wizard Merlin, taking the sword Excalibur and improving upon it one hundred fold. Now, it can be wielded only by those chosen by the current user. I am but the ninth user, but one day, I, too, will pass down One-For-All to another." Sir Deku told him, letting Atlas look at the sword before sheathing it.

"I have a version of One-For-All, too. Instead of a sword, it's a power passed to one person to the next. I'm the ninth user." Atlas told him, showing off by floating and using blackwhip.

"Impressive. You will indeed make a fine hero someday." Sir Deku praised before a crack appeared in the sky, dampening their moods.

Underneath the Crack

Heroes of this world and beyond gathered at under the crack, Vision rising up and amplifying his voice.

"I am Vision, hero of another Earth. These heroes you see here were sent to stop a God from destroying this and every universe in the multiverse. You must evacuate the area. To the heroes Izuku Midoriya and All Might, we need to speak to you." He called out, watching the heroes of this world start the evacuation before a large hero with a smile and two strands of hair sticking up like a v, this worlds All Might.

After a moment, a skinny, nervous looking Midoriya came over, just as colorless as the rest of his world.

"Not bad, Vision." Clawstrike told him, looking at this Midoriya and watching him look nervous.

"Um, I don't know how I'm supposed to help, but I want to if I can." He told them, and Clawstrike nodded.

"Don't worry. We're you from across the multiverse. Our job is to protect you. That's why All Might is here. To take you as far as he can. You're the anchor of all our worlds. The first version of all of us. The original Midoriya." Clawstrike told him while lighting up a cigar.

"What? What does that mean?" Black and white Midoriya asked, but All Might picked him up under his arm.

"I will trust you heroes to defeat this evil while I get young Midoriya to safety! Godspeed." All Might told them before jumping hard, gaining distance between himself and the group.

"What should we expect when that crack gets bigger?" Emerald Knight asked, green electricity cackling off of his body, black and white tree monsters growing behind all around and joining in on the evacuation efforts.

"You expect to fight. There's no Midoriya in the multiverse that's been able to stand alone against Godeku." He turned to Atlas. "When you fought him, what happened?"

Atlas thought about the fight that had happened only a short time ago. It was strange how he'd only been part of this team for a few hours.

"I didn't stand a chance. He has the power to make you panic, afraid before you even see him. Then there's his power. He cracked my ribs with one kick. My danger sense didn't even have time to go off when he swung his sword. The only reason I'm alive is because you guys saved me."

"We won't lose. Nobody here is dying." Overlord spoke up, demonic energy radiating off him as he grew into a monstrous rabbit-humaniod creature, the stuff of nightmares even in hell.

"Today, we battle for glory!" Sir Deku cheered, raising his sword in agreement.

"Nomu!" Nomu roared, pounding his chest while Spider-Deku checked his web shooters.

"I will gladly fight alongside you." Vision spoke, charging up the stone in his forehead.

"Well, looks like all the time spent picking you out wasn't wasted." Clawstrike told them, popping out his claws with a "snikt" sound.

"Doom will dominate this threat." Doom declared, holding out his hands and manipulating the energy, absorbing it. For now, he could hold back the threat and gather as much energy as he could.

"Poseidon, if ye're listenin' t' me here, then would ye mind helpin' me send me enemies t' Davie Jones locker?" Greenbeard asked, his cutlass and flintlock pistol raised to the crack.

Without warning, Doom stopped, unable to take in anymore of the energy. Neither he nor his suit were able to handle it.

"I have held off the enemy briefly, but now, Doom is ready!" Doom yelled, the crack growing larger until it broke, and out stepped a being whose hair, skin, and features continuously changed shape and tone.

"Well, well. What a lovely surprise. You've brought me a whole battalion of buffoons to absorb." Godeku spoke, the air cooling as he floated down, looking at the group.

"These are the defenders you chose? The worst versions of each of these? Even you, Clawstrike, are the worst version of yourself. Did whoever send you not think to send real heavy hitters?" Godeku asked, an aura of pure terror washing over the group, Greenbearddropping to his knee as he gasped for breath.

"Ah, the weak link fell first." Godeku taunted, and with a roar, both Nomu and Overlord rushed at the diety, raining blows on him without mercy.

"Is that it? Really, you came to challenge me, and this is the best you can do?" Godeku asked, yawning as he pushed them back.

"Ha! Not even close! We're heroes, even Doom, and we won't let you destroy anyone else!" The Emerald Knight called back, making a dozen samurai constructs to surround Godeku, who drew his blade to battle the constructs.

Pulling out his sword, Sir Deku rushed in and met blades with him as well, Greenbeard pulling himself up and pulling out aquablue stone, muttering under his breath.

"By my honor, you will fall now!" Sir Deku shouted, actually holding his own as sparks flew between their blades.

Atlas blinded him, using fireworks and his blackwhip to attack, jumping around and charging his kinetic energy. He'd need it if he wanted to go all out.

Spider-Deku swung in between, kicking and punching, webbing the murderous god whenever an opportunity arrived, Clawstrike joining in on the battle, all the cuts he received healing as fast as he got them.

Nomu grabbed the god, tossing him against the ground, and Godeku roared in a mix of anger and annoyance.

"Enough!" Roared Godeku, pushing them all away as he grabbed the blade of One-For-All, glaring at Sir Deku.

"It takes a God t' fight a god, savvy?" Greenbeard asked, cutting his hand and dropping blood on the stone, tossing the now sizzling jewel at Godeku and grinning when the god caught it.

"Hope ye can swim me hearty."

With a sudden crash, like the wave of a sunami slapping the shore, a fist stuck out of a blue portal, cracking Godekus nose, blood pouring from it as he dropped the stone as pain took over.

"Storm of ancient magic, powered by the sea itself. With this sacred treasure, I summon the God of the Seas, Poseidon!" Greenbeard called, the portal growing as a muscular man with long white hair covered in seaweed and small creatures such as a sponge, crab, and a starfish, wearing only the bottom half of a warriors garb.

Without a word, a trident appeared in his hands, and he rushed the younger God, weapons clashing for a moment before Poseidon swung his trident and smacked Godeku through several buildings, following after him.

"You can summon a god?! What the heck, man, I thought you were just a pirate!" Spider-Deku asked, swinging after the gods as the others all rushed towards where the two gods were fighting.

"A tale fer another time, lad!" Greenbeard called, his cutlass held out as he charged after the destruction, coming to a standstill as he watched Godeku pierce Poseidon with his sword.

What should have been golden blood was black, and Poseidon looked at Greenbeard.

"The sea is yours now." He managed to gasp, holding his stomach before fading away into salt water, the breeze leaving the scent of the sea for a moment.

"Goodbye me, heartie. May ye rule Davie Jones locker in peace." Greenbeard told him, picking up the trident and holding it above hid head.

"An immortal holding the weapon of a God is nothing compared to my Necrosword. I can kill any god or immortal with this weapon." Godeku told him, stepping over Poseidon and swinging his sword at Greenbeard.

"I know that weapon. Thor told me about it once." Spider-Deku told them, swinging around and trying to help as Greenbeard and Godeku fought.

"The sword isn't loyal to anyone!" He tried to tell them, getting backhanded through a wall by Godeku as Doom approached, getting in between Greenbeard and Godeku.

"Doom desires to kill you, so die you shall." Doom declared, looking Godeku in the eyes without an ounce of fear.

"Ah, Doom. A weak version of Doom as well. Fine, if you must, we can battle." The murderous diety told him, and Doom laughed, blasting him with the energy he'd absorbed earlier, Godeku standing there unfazed.

"One death, or ten?" Godeku asked, looking at Doom. "Which is preferred?"

"One death. Yours." Doom told him, and Godeku laughed now, flying up a bit.

"This is earth prime for all Deku in the multiverse. I'm going to kill Midoriya Izuku and then rebuild this part of the multiverse in my image." The god told him before shooting a beam of energy the same color the crack in the sky had been, overwhelming Doom until all that was left was a pair of metal boots.

"NO!" Clawstrike roared, rushing in on all fours and slashing Godekus faces, his skin too tough to cut through properly, leaving only scratches before he blocked the god killing blade with his claws. There was no humanity in his eyes, just rage he spent his life controlling.

"Pathetic." Godeku told him, blasting the leader of the group with the same energy he had Doom, leaving nothing where he stood.

"Nomu!" The big beast roared, he and Overlord Deku beating the God with everything they had, the demonic dekus hands glowing with power before the same power overwhelmed them as well.

"Foul god! You are not the first I have fought. You will not be the last!" Sir Deku yelled, coming in and swinging his sword, bewildered as Godeku caught it in his hands, crushing the blade into pieces and blasting him.

"Beware ye fearful slab o' shit!" Greenbeard challenged, Spider-Deku and Vision appearing to help as the pirate swung the trident, but Godeku was no longer playing games, unleashing a wave of fear and dropping both Greenbeard and Spider-Deku, Vision aiming the sun stone on his forehead and blasting him with raw power, before God approached him, grabbing the synthezoid by the face and tossing him towards the other two, who were struggling to stand, and blasting them all with his energy, the trio gone in a flash.

"Ah hell, looks like it's just us, now." Atlas told the Emerald Knight, grimacing as he began to throw everything he had, using every quirk he could to defend and attack, Emerald Knight using vines and green constructs to help his ally, before a blast of energy hit Atlas, leaving only one hero.

"No, you bastard!" Emerald Knight yelled, popping a super pill and drawing power from the lantern on his belt, glowing with green energy, enormous plant monsters coming from the ground as he charged in, punching the diety in the face, sending him into a building.

"IN BRIGHTEST DAY!" A haymaker to the side of the head.

"IN DARKEST NIGHT!" Lefthook, righthook, lefthook, righthook.

"NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT!" He began to use the gods stomach as a punching bag.

"LET THOSE WHO WORSHIP EVILS MIGHT," He brought his knee to Godekus groin.

"BEWARE MY POWER, THE EMERALD KNIGHT!" He continued to fight, refusing to let Godeku have a moment to breathe, knowing what was on the line. Infinite lives for his own? It was a helluva deal.

Throwing the god up into the sky, he followed, using the kinetic energy stored in his legs to activate fa-jin and chase after, headbutting him in the stomach before using the kinetic energy in his arms to full power punch once, then twice, before lifting the weakened god by the back of his collar and flying towards space, before Godeku put his hand to The Emerald Knights chest and grinning, energy enveloping the hero, before he disappeared, and Godeku fell to earth. It was ironic. That was why he was here now. He had fallen from grace, an angel with no wings.

"BRING ME IZUKU MIDORIYA, OR I WILL TEAR THIS WORLD APART, MOLECULE BY MOLECULE!" Godeku screamed, his voice echoing across the world, as heroes lined up, prepared to give their all to protect the boy, only to be fell by the sheer fear he radiated, staying that way long after he left to find his prey.

Across the country

All Might had never run from a threat before, but seeing heroes from a world not his own, he knew his pride was not worth the life of the boy in his arm, who wiggled and squirmed, demanding to be taken to the being who called for him. There was no need for people to die because of him.

"Enough, I promised to protect you, and I will keep my word, young Midoriya." He told him, stopping at the edge of the water. What he was about to do was hard, and his body couldn't handle it, but he was going to try.

Leaping forward, he ran hard, each step pushing off the water and propelling him forward. There was an island a few miles off the coast he could hide the boy.

It was a good idea, a brilliant idea, but Godeku had seen it before, and barreled into the hero at top speed, shredding his body and leaving mist before taking Izuku Midoriya by the arms, holding him above the water.

"Look what you have done. He did not need to perish for you, but so many have. BUT YOU ARE THE LAST!" Godeku told him, revealing his true form, something so beautiful and terrifying that Izuku cried before the diety opened his maw and consumed his essence, leaving only tears that fell to the ocean, small drops of nothing from a hero who never was.
