CraftyCorn's POV
I was feeling exhausted after all those movies, and so was everyone else. CatNap noticed this as well.
"Want me to get you all to sleep?" he asked.
"Sure." YAWN.
He started to sing, but some red gas was coming out of his mouth. He didn't notice this, and kept singing. I suddenly felt like I would collapse from exhaustion. I did.
CatNap's POV
I was in the middle of a lullaby, when I noticed everyone was asleep, and red gas filled the room, but I wasn't asleep.
Weird, I thought. I didn't think much more about that.
At 8:00, everyone woke up.
"What happened?" Dogday asked, who seemed groggy still.
"What time is it?" Sablemoon asked.
"Eight o' clock am." I responded.
The ones already up suddenly got everyone else up. They all got their stuff ready, and left for school. I also got my stuff, and left.
Dogday's POV
Eight o' clock! Why didn't he wake us up sooner? I thought to myself.
We arrived at school, and got to class. No one was there though. It must've been the talent show, why else would no one be there. CatNap appeared behind us.
"Well? Let's head to the auditorium." he said, and we all went there. Sure enough, it was packed. All of us got to some empty seats and watched.
It had gone like I thought it would. The last act was up, and it was CatNap.
When did he sign up for this? I asked myself.
The curtains closed, then opened. An entire band was onstage with him. I looked further, and the band was artificial, being made up of robots. Music started playing.
[Intro]
(He's gone on homeward-bound, bound to rust and blood) What? Who?
(Murder right before your eyes) I was startled.
A mad man, such a mad man, coming for you
A mad man, such a mad man, coming for you All I could think was at this point was Who would do this?
[Verse 1]
Down one by one, murder right before your eyes
Killed one at a time, he would rather let them die Who would murder? Everyone around me was as curious as me. I hadn't noticed the robots were playing music.
Was it worth all the misery caused upon his own command?
He drew the knife, they hadn't the time, time before they joined the damned
[Pre-Chorus]
Show them what's inside, show them how they died
Show them he's not worth your own demise
He's a mad man, such a mad man
He never listened well, he and his kind belong in hell
[Chorus]
When you're alone, I'm reaching out
To let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviour
Light through danger, show them the truth inside
(The mad man, such a mad man)
Take off the veil, show how he stooped so low
How we came to know he's less than favoured to become the failure
We'll meet thy maker, and trap his corpse real tight
(The mad man)
There's no more space for the mad man
[Post-Chorus]
(There's no more space for the mad man)
A mad man, such a mad man, coming for you
A mad man, such a mad man, coming for you
[Verse 2] A female voice was suddenly singing now.
Best left undone, but alas, he came from sand
Sands burying blood, washed away by our own band
He'd rather us behold this harsh and twisted vagabond he made from iron clad
But iron rusts, fate became but dust and we died along with all we had
[Pre-Chorus]
Show him he's no more, show his blackened core
Show him you're no longer being denied
He's a mad man, such a mad man
He never listened well, he and his kind belong in hell
[Chorus] CatNap was singing again
When you're alone, I'm reaching out
To let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviour
Light through danger, show them the truth inside
(The mad man, such a mad man)
Take off the veil, show how he stooped so low
How we came to know he's less than favoured, to become the failure
We'll meet thy maker, and trap his corpse real tight
(The mad man)
There's no more space for the mad man
[Post-Chorus]
(There's no more space for the mad man)
[Breakdown] This part came suddenly, and I was silent. One of the robots was singing this part, glitching every so often.
Kill him, bleed him out
Make him feel, feel how blood runs down
Cut his lungs, let 'em drown
Make him kneel, kneel before your ground
Kill him, bleed him out
Make him feel, feel how blood runs down
Cut his lungs, let 'em drown
Make him kneel, kneel before your ground
Deprive his oxygen, taint him like a coroner
'Cause there's nobody here
So mark down on your calendar when he dies
[Chorus] Both CatNap and the female voice were singing this.
When you're alone, I'm reaching out
To let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviour
Light through danger, show them the truth inside
(The mad man, such a mad man)
Take off the veil, show how he stooped so low
How we came to know he's less then favoured, to become the failure
We'll meet thy maker, and trap his corpse real tight
(The mad man)
There's no more space for the mad man
[Outro] The robot was singing again.
(Kill him, bleed him out)
(Make him feel, feel how blood runs down)
Deprive his oxygen, further and further he falls
He's gone on homeward-bound, bound to rust and blood CatNap sang again.
CatNap bowed, and left the stage. Everyone in the auditorium was shocked.
After I met up with everyone as they left, we talked.
"That was… interesting.".
"Yeah. What was he singing about?" Bobby replied, curious as I was.
"Sablemoon, maybe, but CatNap?" Kickin Chicken pointed out. As if on cue, Sablemoon appeared.
"He's as peculiar as me." she said, then left.
We all left, and went to the next class. That went as normal. In fact, the rest of the day went by normal.
Sablemoon's POV
I got into my house. My own house. I entered the living room. The couch was on the right wall, which also had posters above it. The opposite wall had my tv. I sat down, and turned on the tv. I gave CatNap my phone number, and we're friends now. I got a text, and I looked.
Hey! It's me, CatNap!
I responded.
Hi.
Can I come over?
That was sudden. I responded, not sure as to why he asked.
Sure? That was out of the blue.
Sorry. I'll be over in a bit.
I continued to watch the movie, which was "The Godfather". In the middle of the good part, there was a knock on the door.
