Chapter 6: A New Power!

June 12th, 2009

The dark hour had struck, plunging the world into its greenish glow as the Phantom S.E.E.S team slept through the night. Fuuka had yet to formally move in, yet a room was already being made for her in a spare room. As for the twins, they were both fast asleep in their own room, Minako with the top bunk and Minato with the bottom bunk. It was strange at first how this was even allowed, but then again, the rooms do have a privet bathroom, so that mitigated any awkwardness they would have felt. Yet tonight, they would get no such respite as a young voice woke the two of them up.

"You've prevailed yet again." The two of them groan as they look over to the voice, finding the young boy from before standing in their room once again. "Do you remember what I said before? About everything coming to an end?"

"When was that again?" Minako asks groggily.

"At least a few months ago…" Minato replies, letting himself fall back on his bed.

"Well, I recalled something else." The boy continues nonchalantly. "I'm pretty sure the end is unavoidable." That got the twins to look at him with wide eyes. "But it's kind of weird. It doesn't feel that inevitable right now, considering the vast potential inside all of you."

"Are you talking about the power of a Persona?" Minako asks, shaking her head.

"Perhaps I am, or perhaps I'm not." The boy replies cryptically. He glances away for a moment, looking out the window before looking back at the twins. "Hey, if you don't mind, can I be your friend? I'm really curious about the both of you. What do you say?" The twins glance at each other, an awkward thing to do considering they are in bunk beds, but they look back at the boy before nodding their heads. The boy's face lights up as he places a hand on his chest. "Then you can call me Pharos."

"Nice to meet you, Pharos. I'm Minako."

"And I'm Minato." The twins reply, wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep for the moment until their vision goes dark. As a Tarot card flies past the both of them, this one feels different to the others as both Elizabeth and Theodore's voices ring out in their minds.

I am thou… thou art I…

Thou has established a new bond…

Thou shalt have our blessings when thou choosest,

To create a Persona of the Death Arcana…

Death!? The twins shout in their minds as they watch Pharos leave. Minako leans over the bed, looking at her brother with a worried expression.

"Death is an Arcana?" She asks with wide eyes. Minato nods back at her as she lets out a loud groan. "Then, does that mean we have to fight a Shadow that's called Death? Just what are all the other Arcana that are left?" Minato doesn't answer her as his eyes return to the spot where the boy was standing at.

A cold feeling filled his veins. But was it from the name of the Arcana they hand bonded with, or something else? At this point, he had no idea what it was.

"You doing okay, Fuuka? You're not overwhelmed by what we told you, are you?" Futaba asks as she, Fuuka and Yusuke make their way back to the Dorm. Fuuka had just moved in yesterday, but they were worried that she was still mind-blown from the revelation about them.

"I admit I am still thinking about it…" Fuuka replies, shaking her head. "It just sounds so unreal. But you did show proof, so it's just a case of me coming to accept it. Don't worry, I'll come around to it eventually."

"All the same, don't think you need to force yourself." Yusuke tells her. "Let your mind come to terms with it at your own pace. No good ever comes from rushing."

"Typical Inari with his artistic speech." Futaba remarks, earning a chuckle out of Fuuka. As they continued to make their way back, they soon came across an art exhibition being displayed not too far from them.

"I didn't know there was an art exhibit happening here." Fuuka comments, seeing the small crowd outside.

"It looks to be very recent." Yusuke comments. "Shall we have a look?"

"We know you're going to look at it anyway." Futaba replies, rolling her eyes as they follow after Yusuke. To their surprise, the Arisato twins were also at the venue alongside Ren as they were busy trying to get a look inside.

"Oh, you guys came too?" Minako asks, seeing them approach. "But I guess we shouldn't be surprised at seeing you here."

"What can I say? I am a creature of habit." Yusuke replies with a smile before looking at Ren. "Have you figured out who is here?"

"Not yet. We've been trying to get a good look, but no dice." Ren tells him before glancing at one of the paintings with a price tag on it. "It looks like some of them are up for sale, though."

"And they are certainly something." Futaba remarks until her eyes fall on a particular painting at the far back. One that had her gasping in shock. "Holy crap…"

"What's wrong?" Minato asks, following her gaze until he sees the painting in question. A yellow background with a single tree branch and a cloud obscuring the bottom part as a woman in a red dress looks down at it with a loving gaze. And even from this distance, Minato swore he could feel some sort of pull towards it if the gasps from Ren and Yusuke were anything to go by as their eyes locked on the painting.

"What's wrong?" Fuuka asks with some worry, looking between the three as they gently pull Minako, Minato and Fuuka away.

"That painting… was the Sayuri. A painting Yusuke's mother made before she died." Ren tells them quietly, his eyes falling back on it. "To be exact, it's one of the many copies that Madarame had plagiarised and painted over. But if that is here, then…" No sooner do the words leave his mouth dose Madarame himself make an appearance next to the painting. Shaking hands with a wealthy businessman as he sells the painting.

"Madarame…" Yusuke growls, Ren and Futaba holding on to him to stop him from marching over and lashing out at the man. Even if they wanted to do so themselves.

"How can he do that without any pity?" Minako asks, watching as the businessman hands Madarame a lot of Yen and takes the painting. While Madarame looked on with a smug grin. "Doesn't he know what he's doing is wrong?"

"He does. But he doesn't care." Futaba replies, shaking her head. Fuuka's eyes gaze at Madarame, seeing just what he was doing and how he had no shame in doing so until her eyes drifted to the far left. Seeing a young boy with blue hair hiding in the shadows. Watching the art exhibit with eyes of longing.

"Who's that over there?" She asks, grabbing the team's attention. Yusuke's eyes widen in surprise before he gently closes them with acceptance.

"Of course… it would make sense I would be here as well." Yusuke glances over, seeing Madarame completely engrossed in the exhibition. Taking the opportunity, Yusuke walks over to his younger self, leaning into the shadows so Madarame could not spot them. "You seem to be infatuated by the arts." He starts, grabbing his younger self's attention.

"Who are you?" Young Yusuke asks, not scared by the sudden appearance, as Old Yusuke lets out a small chuckle.

"Just another one who has devoted himself to painting. You seem to be moving along the path yourself." Old Yusuke shakes his head, looking down at Young Yusuke. "You know that such a path will not be easy. You will find yourself alone for many hours on end. You may even find yourself fasting from food and drink as you devote yourself to this life."

"I am willing to try it." Young Yusuke replies. "My mother was an artist, and so is my Sensei. I feel the path of an artist is in my blood."

"So it may appear." Old Yusuke replies, kneeling. "But, remember these words. There is more to life than painting aimlessly. Look for other sources of inspiration, be they dear friends, cherished loved ones, even the company of others or the natural beauty around you. You will find more to inspire you than holding yourself up in a room for eternity." Young Yusuke looks at the ground, taking the words in as he looks back up.

"I'll try to remember those words, mister…"

"Sugita. Kōri Sugita. And yours?" Old Yusuke asks, holding a hand out.

"Yusuke Kitagawa." Young Yusuke replies, shaking his hand. Old Yusuke smiles as he stands up, letting his hand drop.

"I see a generous future before you, Yusuke. Don't let what you cherish fall away as you walk down the path. It may save you when you least expect it." With that, Old Yusuke turns and walks away, rejoining the others as Young Yusuke turns his attention back to the exhibit.

Old Yusuke takes a moment to pause, looking back at his younger self before letting out a sigh of resignation. "What that I would want to tell him the truth… to remove the bandage of lies Madarame has placed on him…"

"We know, Yusuke." Ren replies, patting his arm. "But, we have to let it go."

"Yeah… we don't know what will happen if we try to change things now." Futaba replies with seriousness in her voice. "We might make things worse for your younger selves down the line." Yusuke lets out a sigh, nodding his head as the six of them return to the Dorm.

Leaving Madarame behind as he began his con artist career.

"Is this really only from seven years into the future? It's so thin…" Fuuka asks Futaba, looking at how different their laptops are as Futaba lets out a chuckle.

"You'd be surprised, Fuuka. It's amazing how much things can change in such a short time span." Futaba replies with a grin just as someone knocks on the door outside.

"Yamagishi-san, are you in there?"

"Yes, come in." Fuuka replies. The door opens, revealing Yukari as she walks into the room, looking around at the flowers on the shelf and cabinet nearby.

"You've already finished unpacking? I was planning to come along and help you out later." Yukari comments, sitting down at the table.

"Well, I didn't have a lot to unpack, so I finished a lot sooner than I expected." Fuuka replies, closing her laptop as Futaba does the same. Something that Yukari took notice of.

"You do programming as well?" Yukari asks, with Fuuka letting out a little chuckle.

"I do. But I'm not as great as Futaba-chan is." She turns to look at the gremlin as she shakes her head. "It's honestly amazing what you have managed to do on that laptop."

"What can I say? Being trapped in your room for two years with nothing to do can expand your skills in strange ways." Futaba replies with a grin. "I can teach you both if you like."

"That would be helpful. I'm not really good with computer stuff." Yukari admits. "How about you, Yamagishi-san?"

"Sure. I'd like that." Fuuka replies, opening her laptop back up.

"So, what were you two doing before I came in here?" Yukari asks, bringing a knee up.

"Just going over everyone in the team." Futaba replies. "Since Fuuka is the same as me and can't fight, I figured I'd brush her up on everyone so she can quickly respond in battle."

"Oh, I see." Yukari replies, but she seems somewhat deflated. "You two are really hard workers, huh? And you have amazing abilities as well. Now that I think about it, everyone in the Dorm is pretty amazing. We have time-travelling Persona users who slapped a phoney god around. Sanada-senpai is one of the strongest among us, and the twins have the same skills as Ren. I bet Kirijo-senpai is strong as well, and Junpei… well, he's whatever."

Yukari lets out a sigh as she stares at the ceiling despondent. "But what do I have? I'm only half the person everyone else here is. I couldn't even do anything during the last full moon."

"Oh no, stop right there Yukari." Futaba interrupts, surprising her. "We don't need another 'Morgana running away to prove himself' situation here. That was bad enough."

"I agree with Futaba-chan." Fuuka adds, leaning forward. "I was told once that a Persona is the power of the soul. Also known as your other self. That's why I think a person's feelings and personality are reflected in their Persona. For example, Takeba-san, your Persona has healing powers, right?"

"Well, yeah… and wind spells." Yukari admits.

"That shows that there is a kindness in you that no one else has." Yukari's eyes widen in surprise as she shakes her head.

"I… I'm not kind at all. I just don't like seeing people get hurt or watching them go down, that's all."

"That's still kindness, Yukari." Futaba adds with a grin. "The sooner you accept it, the better." Yukari lets out a groan as she shakes her head, standing up.

"C'mon. I think Ikutsuki-san's gonna be here soon. We need to head to the command room." She turns around before pausing in her step, turning back to look at Fuuka. "Oh, and I forgot to say, but you can call me Yukari. I know we agreed to call you by your first name, but I just felt like I had to say it."

"It's no problem, Yukari-chan." Fuuka replies as she and Futaba stand up. "And please, don't hesitate to call me Fuuka." Yukari nods at her as she leads the two upstairs to the command room where everyone else is waiting. No sooner do they take a seat does Ikutsuki come running in. Out of breath and holding a briefcase under his arm.

"Apologise for calling you all again so soon, but I have brought something special today." He leans over the case, flicking both parts as he opens it up to show everyone. Inside was a black vest, a new S.E.E.S armband, and three cartridges. "I'd like to provide you all with some new equipment. After spending some time in development, they are now ready for the battle-testing phase. There are more cases downstairs, one for each of you here. There's even one for Morgana-kun as well."

The Thieves all glance at each other with shaky looks. This gear would be useless to them because of their Thief Outfits. Oh well, they suppose they could humour him…

"We appreciate this, but why now?" Minato asks, folding his arms. The new gear was welcomed, but for it to arrive now…

"The Shadows are getting stronger. You just barely won that last battle. We can only assume they'll grow even more powerful still. That's why you all need something more to stay in the fight. From now on, I want everyone to use these during your operations." Ikutsuki takes out the pieces from the case lying them on the table. "Combat gear, complete with matching armband, and…" He grabs one of the cartridges, holding it up for everyone to see. "Your new trump card in the battle against the Shadows: cartridges that enable the use of Theurgy."

"Theurgy?" Ann asks, tilting her head.

"What's Theurgy?" Junpei asks, also tilting his head.

"Well, it's Greek for 'spiritual magic that could reach the gods'." Makoto supplies, pushing some hair back. "But, that doesn't explain what it does exactly."

"Well, simply put, it synchronises with the user's emotions. And when the right conditions are met, it allows them to unleash an attack of immense power." Ikutsuki explains with a grin.

"So, like, a signature attack?" Ryuji asks slowly as he forms a grin. "Now that sounds like fun! So, how does it work?"

"Well, about that… It's a bit difficult to explain." Ikutsuki stumbles, looking unsure about himself. "I think it might be easier for you to try it out yourselves. With Kirijo-kun coming back to the front lines and Yamagishi joining us, the team will have a full line-up once again." He stands up, patting the case as he walks to the door. "Please, experiment with it tonight. I'm sure it will prove most useful." And with that, he was out the door.

"And there he goes…" Yukari comments as Fuuka reaches in and grabs a manual that is under the armband.

"Not to be a stooge, but wouldn't this gear be useless to us?" Haru asks, looking at it. "Our Thief attire replaces anything that we wear…"

"We should at least give it a try anyway." Ren remarks, folding his arms. "There might be other function in the armband that might still work."

"Then let's gear up and head right into Tartarus!" Minako cheers, pumping a fist into the air as everyone shakes their head at her. Looks like nothing could slow her down.

"Aw man, this is awesome! We're like a super elite task force!" Junpei shouts as he rolls his arm. The combat shirt was tied around his waist while his new broadsword was now held in a white sheath.

"C'mon… couldn't you at least wear it like you're supposed to?" Yukari asks, shaking her head. Her combat jacket was left unzipped while her arrows were now in a white holster on her back. "But it does look like everyone's outfits are different."

"Each one has been made to complement our fighting styles and physique." Akihiko comments, wearing no coat but now hard a harness around his chest. "They tested the prototype on me before, but this feels even better than before."

"It's very light and sturdy material…" Fuuka complemented her jacket like a raincoat as a collar surrounded her neck. On her head was a high-end military headset and mic. "I wonder if it's the same materials that are used in the military or even special forces."

"I'm not complaining." Minato comments, tightening one of his gloves while looking like a spy. "It doesn't hinder me at all."

"Or me." Minako adds, stretching herself out. Hers was the same as her brother's but came with a scarf for some reason. "The armband also doesn't get in the way either like the last one. It even had Phantom on it as well!"

"It's not just a normal armband either." Mitsuru replies, flicking some hair back. Her jacket is a cape.

"That's right, according to the manual, there are several features in it." Fuuka adds, bring out said manual. "For example, it can give a reading on your vitals. And I can see everyone's vitals here, including yours." She turns to the Thieves who, as expected, were in their Thief attire with the S.E.E.S attire given to them hidden underneath.

"Well, that's handy." Oracle replies as the two groups converge. "What else do they display?" Fuuka looks back over the manual, blinking in surprise as she glances back up at everyone.

"There is also a function that lets you know when your Theurgy is ready… but that's all it says. Other than loading the cartridge into the Evoker."

"So not even the manual can give us any hints…" Junpei remarks, kicking the floor. "Shouldn't something like this have been solved before giving it to us?"

"Maybe it's something that can only be activated while in combat?" Panther suggests before shaking her head. "But that doesn't explain anything either."

"Then let's make that our objective and find out what triggers a Theurgy." Mitsuru remarks before glancing at Minato. "I'll leave it to you two to decide our combat team for tonight."

"We already decided on that before we arrived." Minako replies, hand on her hip. "Kirijo-senpai and Yukari will come with us, while Sanada-senpai and Junpei will stay here."

"What? Why?" Junpei asks, a little heartbroken at being left behind.

"It's because of the last full moon." Minato tells him. "We all were under the assumption that this place was a safe zone, but that fight proved us wrong. We need people to stay here to protect Fuuka while she guides us up." Junpei's eyes widen as he takes the words in, nodding his head along.

"Okay, I gotcha. When you put it that way, I can't refuse." Joker glances at his team, silently thinking about whom to take with him before nodding his head.

"Queen, Fox, Noir, you're with me and Oracle. Everyone else will stay here and help keep this place safe."

"You got it, Joker." Mona replies, hopping onto the stairs as Skull and Panther sit around. "It'll be boring, but someone has to stay watch." Mitsuru nods at them before turning back to Fuuka.

"Yamagishi, can you scan ahead and find us a good floor to start on? No sense in throwing ourselves into the deep end." Fuuka nods as she summons Lucia to her side, encashing her in the aquatic bubble as she senses ahead. Already feeling how different Tartarus was from when they were last here. But that wasn't all.

"Tartarus feels… distorted. It's probably just temporary." Fuuka replies, opening her eyes. "I'll try to find us a stable floor to work on."

"Damn, she managed to figure that out in a few seconds? My scanning is only limited to one floor each time." Oracle remarks, shaking her head. "I've been mega nerfed."

"Or the Metaverse just worked completely different to the Dark Hour." Queen consoles, rubbing her head.

"I've found a floor. It's a bit unstable, but it's better than the others." Fuuka reports, Mitsuru nodding her head with a smile.

"Good job, Yamagishi. Let's move." With that, the assault team moved into the lift and headed up to the floor Fuuka had designated. Once more finding themselves in the Arqa area as they pressed forward.

"Looks like we arrived safely." Noir comments, glancing around. "This looks very different to the last area…."

"The initial part of the tower still resembled the school, yet this place is anything but." Fox comments, rubbing his chin.

"Oracle to Fuuka? Do you read me?" Oracle announces, a screen hovering above her as she starts scanning the floor.

"I read you, loud and clear." Fuuka replies as Oracle grins.

"Good. I want to try something with you. Let's see if we can both scan this floor at the same time. It might help us speed up exploring." Oracle notices a blip on her radar, indicating a Shadow. "Are you picking up a Shadow, Fuuka?"

"Yes, I'm reading one close to you right now." The group tense up as they move forward, the tensions as thick as a fog. Eventually, a Shadow appeared from the murk, clawing its way across the ground as its masked head looked around for anyone. Seeing an opportunity, Joker leaps forward through the shade, landing on the Shadow and griping its mask with his hand. While the Thieves shake their heads at Joker's antics, Mitsuru blinks in surprise as Yukari, Minako, and Minato watch on with grins. Even if they saw him do this before, it never got old.

"Show me your true form!" He shouts, ripping the mask off and leaping away as the Shadow dissipates into smaller foes. A frivolous Maya and two Sky Balances.

"Impressive work. So that's how you cause the Shadows to show themselves. Very effective." Mitsuru complement as Joker lands next to them. Just as she takes out her Evoker. "Now it's my turn. I'm far more in my element here. Let me show you that I haven't lost my touch. Let's go, Penthesilea! Mabufu!" Firing her Evoker, Mitsuru's Persona forms behind her.

A tall woman wearing a silver leotard of armour with chains around her arms over a blue suit with white cuffs, each hand encased in black gloves, holding a rapier and short sword in hand. White shoes with large cuffs and black soles encase her feet, while black leggings race up to halfway up her thigh, connected to under the armoured leotard by chains. A white cravat flows from her neck, while her face is encased by a steel mask with a single black visor, with a golden crown on top.

The ice attack lashes out at the shadows, stunning them and leaving them open to an All-Out attack by everyone, as they showed them no mercy. Wiping them all out in a single attack.

"C'était magnifique." Mitsuru complements, brushing her hair to the side. "It would appear everything worked out well."

"That was amazing, Kirijo-senpai." Yukari admits. "And you did great as well, Fuuka."

"Yeah. It really helps to have another navigator on hand." Oracle adds with a grin as a faint chuckle comes over the headset.

"Thank you, but I still sense more enemies up ahead."

"Can confirm that." Oracle adds, a screen appearing before her. "Looks like we have two or three left on this floor. Want to beat them up, then call it a night?"

"We still need to figure out how to activate a Theurgy, so I say it's worth the hunt." Queen remarks, brushing some hair back. But before anyone could move, a rumble echoed through the floor.

"What was that?" Noir asks, hand on her axe.

"This is bad! There is a distortion ripping through the floor!" Fuuka shouts in alarm just as a blast of dark wind rolls over the team. Forcing them to close their eyes from the wind onslaught. But when they opened them, there was a difference in the floor layout. And a sudden decline in headcount.

"Guys? Where did you go?" Minako asks, seeing how she and Oracle are now alone.

"It looks like that blast of wind scattered us all over the floor." Oracle replies, bringing a screen up. "Yukari is the closest to us. Let's join her and figure out what to do next. Hey Fuuka, can you guide the others to Yukari's location?"

"I'll do my best."

Minako and Oracle nod at each other as they move down the only path open for them. As for Yukari, she was standing by herself next to some lights, looking out at the darkness around her with a worried look.

"Urgh, why now…?" Yukari groans, sitting on the ground. "I hate having to wait around. Fuuka, how close are Mina and the others?"

"They are close. They should be—Yukari-chan, look out!"

"Huh?" She asks, hopping away from her spot just as a hand come slamming down where she was sitting. "Where did that come from!?" She asks, hand already reaching for her bow until footsteps from behind her drew her attention.

"Yukari! Are you alright!?" Minako asks, running to place herself between Yukari and the Shadow as Oracle runs to catch up.

"I am. Fuuka warned me just in time." Yukari replies, watching as the shadow changes form into a giant walking castle. "That's new…" The castle takes aim at Minako before blasting her with Dark and Elect rounds. Electing a shrike of pain as she falls to the ground, the Shock ailment ravaging her as Yukari looks on in shock.

"Oh, crap! That thing doesn't have a weakness!" Oracle shouts in alarm as Yukari glances between the downed Minako and the Shadow.

"Not again… everyone is always protecting me and getting hurt because of it… What am I even doing!?" She takes her bow, unleashing several arrows at the Shadow, the barrage managing to knock it down to its feet. Seeing the opportunity, Yukari casts Dia on Minako to heal her back up, just as a strange feeling starts to build up inside her. Something that both Oracle and Fuuka took notice of as Yukari took out a glowing red cartridge.

Taking aim, she fires the Evoker at her head, summoning Io behind her. But instead of the normal blue, it was a vibrant red. And not the same psychotic red that Oracle saw Akechi's Persona take on during their fight in Shido's Palace.

Floating into the air, Yukari rests a hand on her chest before drawing her bow back. Forming an arrow made of wind before unleashing a barrage of arrows at the Shadow. Just as the rest of the team arrive, to watch Yukari fly into the air. Spinning around as she readied one more arrow.

"Cyclone Arrow!" Letting it fly, the arrow pierces the shadow, enveloping it in a cyclone of wind as it tore it to shreds. While Yukari landed gently back on the ground, glaring at the vanishing shadow over her shoulder with a smirk. Before quickly changing her focus to Minako as she pushed herself up. "Are you alright, Mina?" She asks, helping her up.

"I am… thanks to you." Minako replies, letting out a chuckle. "I suppose that makes us even in the saving department?" Yukari blinks at her, letting her words bounce in her mind as she shakes her head with a smile.

"If we are keeping score, I still need to save you one more time to be even." She replies as the rest of the team regroups around them. "When did you guys get here?"

"Just as you launched that arrow of wind." Fox tells her. "And an impressive display of power as well."

"We never had anything like that. That was incredible, Yuka-chan." Noir tells her with a smile as Yukari lets out a small chuckle.

"I agree with Noir. You performed exemplary under these circumstances, Takeba." Mitsuru tells her with a smile. "Be proud of what you accomplished."

"All the same, I think we should head back to the entrance." Minato comments. "We were lucky this time, but another distortion might be worse than what we encountered. We might even end up on different floors."

"I agree. As much as I want to continue on, it's too dangerous for us to explore any more." Joker adds, nodding his head. Mitsuru nods at them both, agreeing as the team soon makes their way to a teleporter and returns to the entrance. Finding the others waiting for them like nothing had happened.

"Welcome back." Panther greets them. "Glad you guys are okay."

"I'm sorry. I should have been able to navigate better." Fuuka apologises, but Minato shakes his head.

"For what it's worth, you did good for your first time navigating. And you'll only get better as time goes on." He tells her, casting a glance at Oracle. "That, and you have someone who can help you grow as well. And besides, you managed to help us regroup after that distortion while Oracle focused on helping Yukari and Mina." Fuuka smiles as she looks away, feeling embarrassed as the others all nod at her encouragingly.

"But man, that attack you did was awesome, Yuka-tan! How did you do it?" Junpei asks in excitement, only for Yukari to blink at him owlishly.

"How…? I just focused really hard and thought to myself, 'I have to do whatever it takes'. Then I felt myself reaching for the cartridge and inserting it into the Evoker without even thinking like I was doing it automatically. And while that was happening, I felt something inside of me stirring."

"Well, the chairman did say it would synchronise with our emotions. Maybe it only activates when we're really feeling it in battle?" Akihiko asks.

"That's what it looked like to me." Fuuka replies. "From what I could tell, it seemed to react strongly to Yukari-chan's emotions. Maybe that's the key to it."

"A weapon that grows in power based on its user's heightened emotions? That sounds really situational." Queen remarks, shaking her head.

"Yeah, but it could come in handy in a pinch." Skull counters. "Like, say you're the only one left up after a bad fight, and the enemy is on its last legs but needs a really strong blow to take them down."

"Provided that you are in the right emotional state." Oracle counters, shaking her head. "But, maybe that's what the armbands can also show. To let us know when we can use these skills."

"And it's thanks to Yukari for helping us figure it all out." Minako comments, bumping her on the shoulder as she looks away embarrassed.

"I didn't do much…" She remarks as the team chuckles at her. Even Minato let out a small smile as she shook his head at the team. Despite the danger they faced, they came out stronger than ever. And with new moves as well.

He couldn't help but wonder what he and his sister could do, though.
