Chapter 5

The meeting was over the moment Sukuna and Rook left with the twins to go hunt. At the same time, Yuuji found himself getting bombarded by Suiryu.

"Well!?" he demanded. "What was his innate domain like? He's not here, you can talk about it."

Yuuji paused to consider what he saw. "Well… it was a village." He said. "A large one at that… a lot of people too… in fact I think my carnation was there… the original Ryoto…" he explained.

Suiryu froze for a moment. "Let me try something here, that weird domain thingy you can make, do it again but of what you saw"

Yuuji tried to understand what Suiryu met but then remembered the domain he made before and took Sukuna into… can he do something like that? He should, he's a dragon… just not that smart of one.

"Okay let me try…" He placed his hand on Suiryu's head and recalled what he saw. Instantly, Suiryu was pulled into this strange domain with Yuuji. He froze as he peered about and then… his mouth hung open.

"You shitting me?" he whispered in aw. "This is what you saw in Sukuna?!"

"Yeah, more or less."

It was an established village from over a thousand years ago, but the accommodations were rather modern. The houses had strong walls and rooftops. Yet, at the end of the village was a rather large institution, perhaps it's the capital of the place or even a palace if Yuuji were to guess.

"This is the Tooru's village." Suiryu whispered in aw.

"Yua's family?"

"The very same, I have some concept of this since Sukuna went mad here… but he never destroyed this land. Odd don't you think?"

"You're right." Yuuji whispered. "But, why is it here now? Also, why were there people in it?"

Suiryu froze, his face went pale as he turned and stared at Yuuji. "People? There were PEOPLE in the innate domain? Were they drones? Mindless?"

"Uh… no… they were having a conversation with Sukuna… oddly enough… he appeared happy to see them. They were gawking over Shin like no tomorrow, and yet… they all knew me. In fact, that's when I saw the Tooru who reincarnated into me… or I held his soul… I don't get it at this point."

Yuuji broke the illusion as Suiryu was still in aw of what he saw. "He really has changed hasn't he?" he muttered.

"How do we know that's not a trick?" Yuuji asked. "Suiryu, let's face it, he's talented enough…"

"It was no illusion, those people are in that domain for a reason, and innate domain is what connects one soul to another, you of all would know that right?"

Yuuji merely shrugged his shoulders to it all, but still, why is his innate domain like that? But then, it hit him. "Didn't mom say he needed souls to complete his soul… were those the souls?" he asked aloud.

Suiryu paused to consider it, but then, nodded at the notion. "It would make complete sense to me, at the same time… why are they like that? If they are to compete his soul, shouldn't they not exist since they are part of him?"

Yuuji was confused and his head was starting to hurt. "Do we really need to talk about this right now? I mean, those who I spoke to were really polite and what not. In fact one even lowered his head apologizing for his 'son's' actions against me…" he froze a little. "Sukuna called him Father Tooru…"

"And that explains it…" Suiryu said in a rather matter of fact tone.

Yuuji was still confused. "Explains what?!" he demanded.

Suiryu snickered a little and said. "The souls, where they came from and why he can't remember or recall that they are there, he didn't want them to be part of him. Father Tooru and Mother Tooru are two sorcerers he holds in very high regards. In fact I am certain Mother Tooru still can put the fear of God into him. But that's beside the point. The souls mom used to make his whole… are Toorus."

"What would mom do that?!"

"Mom asked." Suiryu said in a simple tone. "If anything, she may have spoken with those who passed and explained what was going on. They may have used their phoenix clause for this, to heal him so he can stay alive… such selflessness he never knew existed in this world…"

Yuuji was silent. He found it odd that when he pulled Sukuna into his domain when they faced off in Shibuya before the rest… he felt nothing, he admitted he felt nothing for what he saw, experienced or was doing. How did the Toorus change that?

"You got your deep thinking face on." Suiryu said and snickered. "You're thinking about that time aren't you?"

Yuuji froze. "How did you know that?!"

"WE'RE FUCKING TWINS!" Suiryu shouted back and laughed. "Ah… I've been getting more of your mindset as of late, at the same time… I am getting better at knowing what you're thinking over Sukuna." He said and continued to snicker. "The thing is, it's best not to look too into it. Let's admit it, so much shit has gone down between then and now that it doesn't make sense anymore does it?"

He nodded in agreement. "It's strange to see isn't it, at the same time… I am wondering if his influence is greater than we thought. Yua said something before… I think… that when Sukuna was revived the first time through me, curses got stronger. Yet this time around… it's the sorcerers getting stronger."

Suiryu paused, he appeared bewildered and then nodded. "Damn, I didn't see that… it's also because he BOTHERS to teach."

"That's it too, before he wouldn't. He refused to and still does from time to time, but, certain students he takes on, like Yua's kids. And mine too when they listened."

"I know where this is going…" Suiryu muttered. "I told my kids to ignore him and they didn't have to listen and they could make his life hell…"

Yuuji snickered. He remembered that. "But he helped Kiyoshi with his elemental power. He's gotten really good at controlling water and ice. Snow, don't get me started…"

"He is trying, at the same time, I still can't trust him."

"Me either."

"So we remain vigilant."

Yuuji agreed, but he paused as he saw Kashimo approach. "Hey, there you two are!" he called. "The family is going to head back to Kyoto. I am sure the other teachers are concerned about what has happened. If you two want to join us, you are welcome to…"

"I don't think we're going to be teachers… especially me." Yuuji snickered.

"Ah… actually, that's not what I meant." Kashimo explained to them that first off, he's name is Roark. Second they can still call him Kashimo if they want to, third, what he was asking was this. "I mean… do you want to leave the domain here and come with us? The family has enough land to ensure everyone has their own space and establishment. We are asking everyone here if they want to, it's not forced. However, we think if you guys and the others came with us, Yua would come home too."

That look on his face, he was a concerned father and at the same time. He wants to spend time with his daughter. Yuuji felt that and smiled. "It's not a decision we can make alone, but we will keep you informed I will talk it over with my family." Said Yuuji.

"That goes double for me," said Suiryu. "I do admit though, if we don't have to hide, why are we hiding?"

"Mainly it was Kenjaku targeting Yua after the incident, also, there wasn't really anywhere TO go in Japan that we would be safe from attacks." Yuuji explained. "But with the way things are now, I might be best if we start to venture out."

Suiryu nodded as he turned to Yua's father. "We will consider the notion, please give us time to consider."

He nodded to this. "I would appreciate that you do. My wife and the others who can make materials with curse energy are working on the brewery when we get back… I never thought I would have Sukuna for a son in law… let alone a Gojo!" he muttered as he went on his way.

Yuuji and Suiryu paused to this, when he was out of earshot, Suiryu peered to Yuuji. "Did you get that vibe?"

"That he's more upset that Gojo sensei is his son in law than Sukuna… yes."

"Just making sure."
