Kit knows what he has to do. He knows he has the strength to do it. He has to kill her. This has to end. He's going to save Surge from her. He doesn't care what happens, Kit knows that he needs to protect Surge. She may not like it, but he has to kill her. Amy. He has to kill Amy. Get rid of her. Get back to normal. End all of it. This cannot continue. He knows what he has to do now. He's still awake. She's still asleep. He has to kill her. End this. End all of this. This new way cannot stand, he has to end this. Now. She cannot be here and jeopardize his position. He is supposed to be at the side of Surge, not her.
Kit goes to Surge's room. Takes Amy. Goes outside. Then goes to the lake to refill. Sitting, thinking about how he can do this. He goes back. She's sleeping peacefully on the ground. Best case scenario, she won't wake up. He braces himself. Then takes some water and attacks. Only to be cut off by Amy and her hammer. She's awake. He stares at her in awe for a split second before going to attack her again. Amy blocks him, he keeps going and going. Trying to get through her endless defense. She has to make a mistake at some point, right? She doesn't, he does. But she doesn't attack him.
"I think we should talk" Amy says
Kit ignores her request and goes back to attacking while Amy goes back to defending. Amy won't hurt him for whatever reason. But he doesn't care, he'll get her eventually. He keeps attacking, going back to water to his advantage. She doesn't let up. She keeps blocking. Kit's attacks get more desperate and reckless. Amy stays calm and collected, letting the fennec get his rage out on her. Until he burns himself out. It takes a bit but eventually the Kit melts into a pile of rage and sadness. Crying to himself. Amy cautiously approaches him and sits across from him. He's in the water, she's on the ground. He's still crying, Amy wants to comfort him. So that's what she does, she's good at that.
"Are you okay?" Amy asks, Kit keeps crying and crying.
"Kit?" Amy asks
"Get away from us." Amy notices he says us instead of me, this is about Surge and them. Not about her or him.
"Why are you doing this? We're doing great me, Surge and y-"
"I wanted it to go back to me and Surge."
"Why?"
Kit opens his mouth, then pauses to think. He sits there for a bit, thinking. Amy is patient, allowing him to figure it out himself.
"That's the way it's always been." Kit says, finally having a reason and then tears start pouring out of his eyes.
Amy goes up to him and hugs him. He stops for a second before crying again, into Amy's shoulder. Kit cries and cries and cries and cries and cries. Letting the tears leak out of his eyes and onto Amy. He lets it all out, Kit's tears touch the water, being absorbed into the body of water. All his tears fall down. Creating a small ripple effect in the water. Kit keeps crying. Eventually after what seems like an eternity. He gets better. Amy picks him up. Like a baby. He doesn't care. Kit can barely see after crying for so long. He doesn't care where he goes, as long as Surge doesn't mind.
Amy puts him to bed. He falls asleep. Amy watches him for a bit before going back to her place in Surge's room. Attempting to go to sleep. It takes her a bit. Especially with Surge's snoring. Also Kit's problems. She can't help but worry. Amy cares for the little kid. He's so sad and depressed, especially for someone so young. Amy wants to puke thinking for what the two had to go through. But at least now they can be a part of something, something good. That's at least what Amy convinces herself before she goes to sleep. She can make this better.
Amy wakes up. Surge is still asleep. It's light out, extremely bright. Amy goes up and out of the room, to Kit's room. Where he's awake, messing with a gadget of some kind. At least he doesn't seem to want to kill her anymore. As he would've had the opportunity to. Unless he was that apprehensive about attack her now for whatever reason. She walks towards him, Kit hears her and turns around. He almost starts crying again. But Amy makes sure to turn it off before the water works start again. Getting close to him and wiping the tears away from his eyes.
"Still sad?" Amy asks him
"Yeah." Kit responds
"You know I'm not going to take Surge away from you right?"
"…No."
"Well I'm not, okay?"
"…Sure." Good enough. Amy gets up and goes to wake Surge
"You're not going to tell her about this, right?" Kit asks.
"Maybe, if your well enough now and there is no more problems between us"
"…Okay." Kit says and turns to stare at a wall, Amy walks out of his room to leave him to his own devices.
With that shakey position secured, Amy goes to Surge's room and wakes her up for a new day and to clarify the plan with her some more. Surge wakes up, sees Amy and gets excited. Immediately getting up and out of bed. Amy is glad she's not the only one so excited. The two go over their plan again and make sure everything is put into place. Amy cannot wait for the first main casualty of this new chapter in her life. Surge seems just as excited. Now all she has to do is make sure nobody stops her and everything for everyone else goes wrong. If she can do enough damage, there will be no going back. For anything or anyone.
