In the morning I woke nestled in Merlin's arms, "Good Morning, My sweet wife. How are you feeling my love? " I smiled small and said "Honestly, I'm not okay... I think I'm really scared, after what happened last night..." "I want you to see Gaius, and talk to him... Maybe he can help..." "I think that's a good idea... I'll go see him..." I smiled, as Merlin and I got dressed. "Alright. Well, I'm going to find Arthur, do you want me to walk with you to Gaius or do you think you'll be okay walking alone...?" I said "Can you walk with me? I mean Gwain's still circling around..." He smiled and said "Oh, Of course. Anything to make you feel safe. I'll have to work with Arthur... Who do you feel comfortable with? I can have them look out for you for me." I said "Leon is the only knight that's alive, that I feel safe or comfortable with."
We walked hand in hand, as we walked to Gaius's seeing Arthur already there, with Gwen. "Hey guys! This is a surprise!" Arthur hugged me, before placing a hand on Merlin's shoulder. "Everything Okay?" he asked. I said "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little unwell... Is Everything okay with you guys?" "Yeah, Gwen was feeling a little unwell, so she wanted to get checked out, and Gaius wanted to see me." I nodded and smiled. Once Gwen finished, and Gaius said "Morgana! Merlin! I wasn't expecting, you two! Everything okay?" I said "I actually want to talk to you.." Gaius said "Of course, come sit. I'd like to introduce you." I gave Merlin a kiss before going and sitting on the couch, seeing a woman. "Hi, I'm Morgana!" "Hi, Sweetie, I'm Alice! I'm Gaius's... Special friend." I smiled wide. "A pleasure. Gaius sat beside me, and said "Alice, darling..." "Don't worry, I'll make myself scarce for a little bit." I smiled gratefully.
Once she left, Gaius checked me over, and said "Alright well baby seems okay, so what's wrong?" I said "Well... I... think I'm not alright mentally... You know Gwain?" Gaius nodded and said "Yes I do. He's a good knight why...?" I said "Well... Gwain's raped me like 4 times in the last few months alone, and almost 5 times... and I'm just like really shaky, and terrified... I'm mentally shaken and emotionally scared..." Gaius frowned and said "I'm so sorry... I think you have post traumatic stress disorder... Don't worry. You'll be alright. It'll pass, and I know an herb I can find, that's supposed help with anxiety, that is safe for your condition. Would you be okay giving it a chance?" I said "Yes... I think I would Okay. Worst case it doesn't work and I have to stop." I replied. Gaius nodded and said "Exactly. I'll go fetch that herb today. Will you wish to come back or send Merlin?" I said "I'll just send Merlin."
'Merlin... Can you send Leon? I want to go back to the room... To our room...' 'Yup. My husband senses were tingling. He'll be there in 5 minutes.' I smiled as Leon entered the room. "Hey Leon! Everything okay?" "Yes, Of course. Merlin sent me, to watch over her, at least till he is available to take care of her." "Alright." I stood, as Leon took me out to the grounds, and I sat next to Gwen. "Hey what's wrong with you? You've been distant and closed off to me..." "Yeah... well, maybe if you didn't jeopardize my life and my child's, and probably even your life and your baby!" Gwen said "How Dare you! Gwain is amazing and he's the best knight in Camelot!" I said "HE'S A RAPIST!" Gwen slapped me across the face. "He isn't! You are making up lies! He is a saint!" I held my hand to my cheek. "Wow! You are just delusional!" Merlin came over and said "Hey is everything okay over here? Morgana, Are you alright? You look pale." I got up walking over and wrapped my arms around his waist. "I don't feel well..." He frowned, as I moved my hand from my face. "Damn, honey, that is swelling... LEON!" He came over and said "Yeah? Everything okay?" Merlin said "Can you take her to Gaius? Get her cheek looked at?"
"Yeah of course." I turned to Merlin. "I'll meet you there in a bit..." "Everyone is going to freaking taking her side." I said walking with Leon back to Gaius's, who sat me down and tended to my cheek, before Merlin came in and said "Hey." He sat next to me. "Arthur's trying to get Gwen's side, but I need to get your side. What happened?" I said "Well I was trying to just relax and she just said what was wrong and how I've been distant, but... when I told her truthfully, how I wouldn't feel the need to do that if she didn't insist on being around Gwain! And she just went off on me, even if I tried to defend myself! Next thing I knew she hit me!" "Oh honey. Don't worry, I'll be able to take care of this. Okay?" "OWWW! GAIUS!" Gwen's voice said, as Arthur helped her in. "We need you, she's in a lot of pain." Arthur eased Gwen beside me as he glared at me. "She should be top priority, over this liar." I looked to Merlin, hopelessly. "Arthur, Look I know you feel like Gwen's right, But I feel like you should hear Morgana's side..." "No. She's lied about everything." Arthur said. Merlin looked to me, and said "With all do respect, your majesty I know your trying to protect your wife, and so am I. I don't know what Gwen tried to tell you what happened, But, Morgana's side is what really happened, as I saw it." Arthur said "Morgana, you are my sister but you are not aloud, to attack my wife and your queen."
Gaius and Alice said "Alright, Let's shelf this conversation, for now, It won't do either one of them any good." "No, I want to tell my side." I looked to Arthur and told him my side. "SEE!? I told you she'd spin it that way!" She cried. Arthur said "alright enough!" Gaius and Alice checked on Gwen and the baby, while I cuddled into Merlin's protective arms. "Hey, It's okay honey... I'm right here. Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you." He kissed my head as he whispered "I'm here, and I am on your side, and I believe your story." I nodded, leaning closer to him, my face pressed into his neck. "But Arthur doesn't..." I whispered, as Merlin said "Give him time to cool down, We both want to defend our women, and sometimes it hurts the people we love." "I know. He'll calm down eventually... But If it's alright with you... I'm not feeling well, can we go to our room and can I lay down?" "Of course sweetie, Let's go."
"Actually, I just want to triple check on her and the baby. I'm concerned..." "Wait... What... Why?!" "Your blood pressure is high, and you're looking pale..." Alice insisted. I looked to Merlin, scared. "Hey sweetie, It's okay. It's okay. I know they're just trying to take care of you and the baby..." I said "Fine. I just want my baby okay..." Merlin wrapped an arm around my shoulders, and I leaned into him. "We want our child safe and healthy, I want her healthy too, so whatever you both think is best." After a few minutes, Alice said "Alright I want you on bedrest for the duration, which is going to be about another 4 months..." I said "What's wrong? Is there a reason to be concerned?" Merlin wrapped an arm around me as Gaius said "We're concerned about Eclampsia. It's a very dangerous condition for pregnant women. It's not entirely understood yet, but it can be fatal, to both the mum and the child..." Merlin said "Should someone be with her at all times?" "Yes. Preferably, you, Gaius or myself. I've delivered many babies, and have delt with eclampsia and pre-eclampsia." "I understand. Thank you. I'll get her straight to bed." He lifted me up and took me to our bed, laying me down. "There we go honey." He said, as he laid me on the bed. "I'm going to be right back. I'm going to get your night gown, to help you change into it. Is there anything else you want or need?" I shook my head. Once I was settled, Merlin sat beside me, as there was a knock.
I pulled my knee's to my chest as Merlin called a come in. "Morgana... Merlin..." Arthur said coming over to us. "We need to talk. The three of us." He sat on the bed across, from me, where Merlin wrapped an arm around me. "So... Morgana, You are my sister and I love you, but Gwen's my wife, If Gwain's one of the few knights she's felt comfortable, with, then... I can't make her feel like she doesn't have a say in who is around to help make her feel safe. I know you would never lie to me, and neither would Merlin... So I've spoken to Gwen, and I think I might have came up with a solution... That will make you happy, and her." I said "I'll hear it, but don't hold your breath on me agreeing to it." He said "Gwain's remaining here for a month, on a trial. If he proves he can change, his deplorable behavior, he can stay, but if he can't he will be executed. You and Gwen will have Gwaine, at the door, but Leon will be there too, so we have an eye witness besides you and Gwen." I said "Fine. Gwen will just bat her eyes, and tell you he's changed and you'll believe her." "Morgana, I'm trying here. Please." "I said it's fine!" I said harshly. "Alright... Are you alright though?" He asked and I said "Not that it matters, but I'm on bedrest, because of all this!" He said "Why?" I rolled my eyes, and Merlin said "Alice and Gaius are concerned, about her health and the baby." Arthur said "I'm sorry."
I said "Yeah. Can you leave us...?" Arthur nodded and left, before I cuddled into Merlin, which is when he kissed my head sweetly. "Sleep now my love." I nodded yawning, as I fell asleep on his chest.
