Hello Everyone. Here is the third chapter of the story. I hope you will enjoy it. :)

After they have reunited with the rest of their family after 'the' Gideon Grey incident, Josh and Judy went back home with Stu and Bonnie. When they arrive home, Josh kisses his wife Ellie Hopps after seeing each other again since the festival earlier on in the day as they share a hug. When they separated from the hug, the two begin to spend much of their time with their oldest child ten year-old Henry Hopps and youngest child four year-old Susie Hopps.

They spend much of their time playing hide-and-seek together in the family living room, before they have a tickle fight just between them. After the tickle fight, they all settle down by watching a movie together with the film being a family friendly as they watch it in each other's arms. While the kids drift off to sleep, it leaves Josh and Ellie to watch the film alone as they decide to take this time to have a talk about how the other's day has been for them.

"How was the festival? Was it good? I know I've seen Judy's talent show" Ellie asked, laying her head on Josh's shoulder. "I just wish, that I've seen it all with you."

"It's ok Ellie, plus the festival was good too, we seen a lot of the stores" Josh said, comforting Ellie with a kiss on her cheek. "Judy was enjoying herself, like always."

"Awww, It's nice to hear Judy is enjoying herself, that is good at least" Ellie said, smiling at the thought of Judy being happy. "Was there any incidents? At the Festival?"

"Gideon Grey, he was up to no good again, which is just not surprising" Josh said, sighing unhappily at the thought of the kit. "Judy stood up to him, but he scarred her."

"Oh no again? That kit's parents really need to sort out his behaviour" Ellie said, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration. "It's getting ridiculous, it really truly is."

Josh nods his head in agreement in response to what his wife is currently saying to him, he understands Ellie's annoyance with Gideon Grey. He knows it well, especially after his own experiences with them including the more recent one involving Gideon bullying some innocent sheep. After thinking about Gideon, the couple spend the remaining of their time together cuddling each other as they watch the movie until it ended early in the evening night.

Later that night Josh is putting Judy to bed in order for her to get a good night's sleep, knowing that they have big things to do tomorrow. While being put to bed, Judy pleads with her uncle to tell her a bedtime story before she goes to sleep as he chuckles before nodding in agreement. This makes Judy smile in delight, before she is snuggled in her bed with help from Josh as he begins to tell her a bedtime story about his first case as a Private Investigator.

"I was a 19 year-old Private Investigator then, a year before you were born" Josh begins, smiling at the memory. "I had opened the H.P.I.A, waiting for my first clients."

A Nineteen year-old Josh Hopps is sitting patiently at his desk, hoping for any arrival from his first clients. He is 5'10 in height and he weighs 9 st 10 lbs in weight, he wears a light Grey suit with a bright Red tie and dark Brown trousers, he also wears a Grey Fedora hat on his head. He reads the local newspaper to pass the time, where he reads up on the crimes being committed as his interest is caught by the mention of a missing kit Fox called Gerald Foxy.

"It wasn't long until I had my first client, I was very surprised at who it was" Josh said, worrying enters his voice. "It was Samantha Foxy, Gerald's distraught mother."

The Hopps Private Investigations Agency's entrance bell rings, alerting Josh to the presence of his client. He puts down the newspaper he had been reading, quickly gets up in a hurry from his desk, opens the door to his office before making his way to the entrance of his Agency. When he finally arrives at the building's entrance, he sees a beautiful female Vixen, 5'10 in height and 8 st 11 lbs in weight, with Green Eyes red from crying at the loss of her son.

"She told me about her son, what he looked like and his personal hobbies" Josh remembers, briefly smiling again. "His last known location, before handing me a picture."

Samantha tells Josh everything about her son in great detail, while trying to hold back tears of anguish. Josh writes the details down in his own notebook, before he handing a tissue to his client in order to give her a chance to wipe her eyes as she gratefully accepts the gesture. After wiping most of the tears from her own eyes, she continues to talk about her son before she hands him a picture of her son wearing his school uniform as he shows with pride.

"She begged me to find him, pleading that I bring him back home to her" Josh said, before he becomes determined. "She was counting on me, so I accepted the case."

Josh looks at the picture with a small smile aimed at the kit, he can tell the kit is just genuinely happy. He turns his attention back to Samantha Foxy, the latter both begging and pleading with him to bring her son back to her in hope of finally being relieved of her current pain. It may have just been the one pleading expression, but it was enough to convince the young Private Investigator to accept the case without any moments of hesitation or any fear.

"After I accepted the case, Samantha instinctively gave me one big hug" Josh said, his smile returning to his face. "I reciprocated the hug, before she left the building."

When she got the answer she had long been searching for, Samantha gave Josh an unexpected hug. After being surprised by it for a few seconds, Josh returns the hug before they separated a minute later as he watches the Vixen leave the building with a big smile on her face. The young rabbit watches her go for a while longer, until he looks at the picture of the missing Gerald Foxy before looking up with a pure determined expression on his young face.

"After she left the building, I went to get ready to go on my big quest" Josh said, pointing to his clothing and stuff. "When that was done, I proceeded to on my quest."

Josh is now getting ready to start to his first ever case, he undresses from his more formal clothing. He replaces it with light Tan Khaki trousers, a safari buttoned shirt as well as a dark Brown Leather Bomber Jacket along with a dark Brown tall-crowned wide-brimmed Fedora. He gets both his arm gun holster and his taser gun, before he goes on to collect his cream Satchel bag putting his left arm and head through the strap until he gets his Brown whip.

"When I was all set for it, I started my mission to find Gerald Foxy" Josh said, remembering the memory fondly. "I followed my leads, until I had finally located him."

After getting all his belongings for the long trip ahead, Josh sets off to find the missing kit himself. He checks out the kit's last known location, before he talks to the witnesses who have seen what had happened to the kit as he manages to get a vehicle description from them. He also gets a number plate of the vehicle itself too, he passes the info to a friend who helps him track the vehicle down to it's ultimate location where he finds the vehicle in question.

"When I had found it, it was placed near blocked off sub station" Josh said, before he starts to brace himself. "I snuck my way in, I went in deep until I found Gerald."

Josh finds the vehicle at an abandoned sub station, though he enters after hearing some voices. He sneaks silently down the elevator steps, until he comes across the sight of Samantha Foxy's missing son and the missing fox kit in the newspaper he had read: Gerald Foxy. He sees the kit being beaten up by a gang of predators, ranging from a lion to a teenage polar bear as he uses his carrot pen to record the audio and his Z-Phone to record the footage.

"After recording them, I planned on how to rescue the poor kit" Josh said, smiling at remembering his plan. "The gang is armed, but I had my friends for back up."

Once he has all the recording provided for a case, Josh begins to make a plan to rescue Gerald. He notices his friend from earlier appear on the elevators, it was a male Moose wearing a White T-shirt and Blue Jeans carrying his own taser gun as he approaches the lights. Josh smiles at his friend before seeing his friend's partner, the latter also being a male Moose as the three work together to rescue Gerald who is pinned down with his head hanging over the tracks.

"When the lights were out, there was panic among the gang" Josh said, pondering the thought of the panic. "The other lights were dim, so I can still see Gerald."

While the gang are distracted by the loss of light, the two Moose partners snuck into position. They all can see five gang members in total in the station, four of whom are in a panic with the fifth member (the leader) trying to keep everyone in order as he shouts orders. When the gang are all currently distracted by the darkness, the Moose partners take the time to shoot at them with four of the gang being knocked out though Josh disarms the leader of the gang.

"I targeted the leader, his gun was on poor Gerald's head" Josh said, worrying before a big smiles appears. "When he moved the gun away, I whipped it off him."

After whipping the gun away from the leader, Josh rushes towards the leader and kicks him. The force of the kick is enough to send the leader flying, which gives Josh a much needed chance to grab Gerald by his paw, pick him up, before carrying the poor kit to safety. He makes his way back through the station the way he came, until he makes his way out of the abandoned station only to be knocked down by an unseen sixth member of the Predator gang itself.

"The sixth member was a fox, which was quite ironic" Josh said, remembering the fight that quickly followed. "We fought paw-to-paw, I barley stayed in the fight."

The sixth member is a middle-aged Red Fox, who is 6'11 in height and 10 st 9 lbs in weight. He had dark green eyes that reveal coldness behind them, he wore a big tan coat before he tore it off to reveal a white buttoned shirt, black trousers along with black gloves. Josh fights him paw-to-paw as he dodges the Fox's first punch, before landing one strong punch after another across the Fox's face before his punch was blocked and he was knocked down by the Fox.

"The fight continues onward, I just kept on fighting" Josh said, rubbing his chin as he grimaces in reaction. "I tried to find a way to win, luckily I did find a way too."

Josh manages to get back to his own feet, before having to dodge another incoming punch. He lands a few more punches and kicks the taller Fox, until he is forced backwards by the taller enemy until he finds himself backed up against a wall literally by the big Fox. While the latter rushes his way towards him at full rapid pace, Josh slides his way to freedom as his opponent punches the wall instead of him as this causes the Fox pain before Josh finally knocks him out.

"After I defeated my enemy, I saw Gerald wake up" Josh said, nodding away at the memory to just himself. "I checked up on him, before I brought him back home."

While the Police Officers arrest the gang, Josh gives copies of the recordings of the crime. After handing over his evidence of the crime to Police, Josh checks on Gerald who is now fully awake and looking at him with amazement at the fact a bunny had rescued him. He was more amazed by Josh fighting the much taller Fox, which gave the two time to have a small friendly laugh before Josh gives his goodbyes to the Moose partners and takes Gerald home to his mom.

"When we got to his mom, her face brightened up" Josh said, smiling proudly at the memory of that big day. "She thanked me, before she gave me friendly advice."

After being transported for a few hours, they finally meet Samantha at her home-place. The sight of her son causes her to smile in happiness, while happy tears stream down her cheeks as she runs over to her son with the two Foxes sharing a heartfelt hug together. After separating herself from her hug with her own son, Samantha Foxy faces the bunny who found her son and brought him home as she smiles in delight at Josh with the two sharing a friendly hug together.

"Thank you precious bunny, thank you so much" Samantha said, before looking at Josh straight in the eyes. "Always remember, be the hero the world needs you to be."

"I still remember those words, those inspiring words from Samantha" Josh said, he smiles at the thought of her. "I remember them everyday, whenever I'm on a case."

Judy slowly nods her head in understanding at what her uncle is trying to tell her, before something else quickly catches her attention. What happened to Gerald? Did the Foxy kit and his mother stay in contact with her Uncle? All these question run through her young mind. After taking the time to ponder these questions, she decides to ask all these questions to her uncle in hopes of finding out about what the two have been doing since that big first case.

"So what happened to Samantha Fox and Gerald Foxy, Uncle Josh?" Judy asked, her hopes grow with each second. "Do you still speak to them, do they stay in contact?"

"Actually we do still speak to each other time-to-time, so yes we do" Josh said, he takes time to just think about it. "But it's been a long while, since we have last spoke."

"Oh, I hope they both get back in touch with you again, I really do" Judy said, until something else comes to mind. "What about the other cases? Can you tell me those?"

"Well, my recent case was a very troubling one indeed, big trouble" Josh said, he pauses to think before speaking. "It was all about Night-Howlers, which is news to me."

"Night-Howlers? That's new to me too, I have never heard of them" Judy said, her uncle nods to her in agreement. "Did you try to find out more? Anything Uncle Josh?"

"Honestly the trail quickly went cold, so I didn't find out much of it" Josh said, sighing in frustration at the thought. "Some think it's a link to wolves, though I disagree."

Judy herself ponders the thought about the Night-Howler predicament puzzle, she understands why her uncle is finding it all difficult. It's clear to her, that her uncle is doesn't want to jump to the conclusion that would implicate innocent Wolves are the source of the matter. While she understands her uncle's hesitation, she comes to the same sort of conclusion that others have in the past as she believes the wording just sounds far too simple to her ears.

"But Uncle Josh, what if Wolves turn out to be the Night-Howlers?" Judy asked, hoping she has found the answer. "I don't mean innocent Wolves, just the bad Wolves."

"I'll be honest, if that's the case, I really hope it's the bad Wolves" Josh said, smiling before he becomes concerned. "Ok that's enough talking, kiddo, it's time for bed."

Judy gives a small pout with the sight making her uncle let out a small laugh, until he takes the time to caress her niece's left cheek. The two Bunnies touch foreheads, before they eventually separate from each other as they both settle for just holding each other's paws. Josh smiles at Judy before kissing her left cheek, which causes Judy to let out a small giggle as she snuggles up to her uncle with the latter gently patting her head in a show of affection.

"Goodnight, Uncle Josh" Judy said, she yawns before closing her eyes. "I love you."

"Goodnight, Judy" Josh said, he smiles at his niece slowly going to sleep. "I love you too, always."

He kisses her left cheek one more time before he goes to see Bonnie and Stu, knowing the three of them need to have a talk with each other. He walks to Judy's door, though he takes the time to pause in order to look back at his sleeping niece as he smiles at her sleeping rather contently. He turns back to towards the door, where he walks out into the hallway before closing the bedroom door and he starts making his way towards his brother and sister-in-law.

He finds them in the kitchen sitting at the table with worried facial expressions, he sits at the other end of the table in order to face them both. They all sit in silence, until Stu decides to be the one to start the conversation as he knows the following conversation needs to happen rather soon. When he does open his mouth, the conversation is finally underway with Josh and Bonnie making eye contact with him while he speaks his own mind to the two of them.

"Look, I just want to say, I'm happy for Judy" Stu said, he looks at Josh and Bonnie. "I really am, but I'm just worried about her safety."

"I'm with you Stu, dear, I'm happy for her too" Bonnie said, she agrees with her husband. "But we need to support her, I trust her judgement."

"So do I Bonnie, it's just I don't like danger" Stu said, he puts a repellent on the table. "Especially foxes, which is why I have brought this."

The repellent is a pink cylinder bottle with a red top with an image of a fox, the image has a cross over to represent it's use against all Foxes. The mere sight of it, causes the usually calm Josh to feel a sense of rage building up inside of him as he tries to maintain his composure in front of Stu. While holding back his anger, Josh decides to question his brother on why such a discriminating object should ever be considered to be necessary.

"A fox repellent? Really Stu? I don't get it" Josh said, he aims an incredulous look at Stu. "You can't judge foxes for being foxes, it's pure discrimination, Stu."

"I can't believe, you've forgotten already" Stu said, he looks at Josh with a horrified look. "You seriously forgot Gideon Grey? You saw what he'd done to Judy."

"Yes I saw, plus I haven't forgotten, Stu" Josh said, he pinches the front of his nose hard. "Yes the guy's a jerk, but he is a jerk who just happens to be a fox."

"Actually Josh, my husband has a point" Bonnie said, her words causes Josh to be surprised. "It's in their biology, Gideon Grey is a good prime example of this."

"Biology? I just can't believe you two!" Josh said, he becomes increasingly frustrated. "Is that what this is all about? Biology? You can't judge foxes on that."

"Foxes are predators, it's their nature" Stu said, these words only increases Josh's anger. "It's not something, that all three of us cannot overlook at anytime."

The conversation starts to take it's toll on Josh's attempts to stay calm, though he still tries to maintain his composure as much as he can. The cracks start forming, evidenced by him clenching his paws into a fist as his body slowly begins to shake with rage as it begins trying to break free. He tries to breathe slowly, but his anger just keeps rising to near boiling point until he just couldn't maintain his attempts to keep his anger back any longer.

"Foxes can be predator and prey too" Josh said, he tries his best to keep his composure. "We might be prey to them, but they are prey to the other predators."

"Why do you always defend foxes!?" Stu said, he becomes more increasingly shocked. "Why is it, every time, this sort of conversation happens, you defend them."

"BECAUSE MY FRIEND IS A FOX!" shouts Josh, he glares furiously at Bonnie and Stu. "A FRIEND I HAVEN'T TALKED TO IN YEARS! THAT'S WHY I DEFEND THEM!"

The outburst shocks Bonnie and Stu to each of the core of their respective beings, while also waking up Judy and her siblings at the same time. Judy herself is shocked, she'd had never expected her uncle to lose his temper in the way he did as she suspects he was busy talking to her parents. It's clear to her though, the topic of the conversation is about foxes and she had no idea her uncle has a friend who is a fox with that being the explanation for his outburst.

While she along with her siblings struggle to return to sleep after Josh's outburst, the latter takes the time to calm himself down from his anger. He apologies to Bonnie, which he does the same with Stu before he walks to his bedroom in order to get some sleep in order to be ready for tomorrow. He walks into his bedroom, where he sees Ellie laying on their bed awake as he breaks down crying which causes her to comfort him before they went to their bed to sleep.

It was nice to Josh Hopps bond with his niece again and not so good to see him argue with Bonnie and Stu, let's hope things will work out for them.
