Hello everybody. Sorry it took so long to get the next episode uploaded. I was caught up with other projects outside of and work too. Before we got onto the next episode, I'm going to use this as an opportunity to answer some questions that some of you left in your reviews. Khrytan, Perfecto Prep are not just going to show up in Beauty and the Beach, they're going to show up in Battle Aboard the St. Anne too. Eliot, I'll take your suggestion about Dragonite's origin into consideration. Duke, when I wrote the story originally, this was before I discovered owls can't smell. However, I did correct the episode where Mary catches Hoothoot to fix that. Rhinox, regarding Bulbasaur's previous Trainer, I may put that plot in a future episode. Zippy, your suggestions of when certain toons could appear should work. And finally, Zoomzoom, I'll definitely have Furrball and Meowth fight, especially cause Meowth might want to steal Megan. But anyway, onto the story.

Episode 16: Electric Shock Showdown
(Insert "I Got a Pokémon" from Pokémon)
Ash, Pikachu, Mary Melody, Fifi La Fume, Buster Bunny, Shirley the Loon, Hamton Pig, Fowlmouth, Bookworm, Dizzy Devil, Brock and Misty stood in front of an entrance sign that read "Vermillion City". They let out happy sighs. "Le sigh," sighed Fifi. After two weeks of being lost, our heroes finally reach Vermilion City! Congratulations! You finally made it.
"Hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray!" said the group.
"Oh, I can't wait to take a bubble bath!" said Misty.
"I have to hit the laundromat," said Brock.
"I'm going to find the Vermilion Gym . . . RIGHT NOW! Come on Mary, let's go!" said Ash as he grabbed Mary's hand.
"Hey! Wait, eager Bidoof!" cried Mary as she got dragged.
(End Music)
Suddenly, Ash felt something wrapped around his leg, preventing him from walking any further. It was Fifi using her long, fluffy tail. "Hold eet, Ash. I know zat vous and Mary want to get Thunder Badges. But look," said Fifi. Pikachu was lying on the ground.
"Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Cha . . . ," said Pikachu weakly. Its stomach began to growl. Ash picked him off the ground and held him in his arms.
"He must be hungry," said Mary.
"Exactly. We can't let ma Pika Provolone fight on an empty stomach," said Fifi.
"We haven't, like, eaten anything decent for three days now!" said Shirley.
"Hey, Pikachu? Are you hungry little buddy?" asked Ash. Then, Ash's stomach began to growl too. "Whoaaaa! Heh, heh, I guess we're all a little hungry, eh Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Pika . . . ," said Pikachu.
Ash and Mary had their Pokéballs on trays before the Nurse Joy who ran the Pokémon Center. Pikachu sat next to the tray containing Ash's Pokéballs. The Nurse Joy of Vermillion City had an orange cross on her hat. "I think he's hungry . . . ," said Ash.
"We'll fix Pikachu up," said Joy, picking Pikachu up. Joy noticed that the group was staring at her. "I know why you're surprised. I look like all the other nurses don't I? My first cousin works in Pewter City and my second cousin works in Viridian City. I think I'm the prettiest one, don't you?" asked Joy. She let out a giggle.
"Yeah!" said Brock. Just then, the emergency room doors slid open and a boy and a Chansey pushing a stretcher with a Rattata ran past the group.
"Hurry! You'll be okay Rattata! Hurry!" said the boy. The Rattata was covered in burns & bruises and had swirls in its eyes.
"That Rattata's in rough shape," said Buster.
"I wonder what happened?" asked Brock. Nurse Joy let out a sigh.
"Oh, it's the fifteenth one brought in this month" said Joy.
"What?" asked Ash. Ash and the group gathered at the emergency room. All kinds of Pokémon were resting as their trainers stood beside them. They included a Caterpie, an Oddish, a Sandshrew and another Rattata.
"This is t-t-terrible!" said Hamton.
"They all lost to Lieutenant Surge, the Vermilion City Gym Leader," said Joy.
"I, like, read about him. He specializes in Electric-types. He was once in the army, and that's why he has such a rough, tough personality," said Shirley.
"Whoa, he must be a great trainer," said Ash.
"So, Ash, you scared already?" asked Misty.
"No way!" said Ash.
"Well, you talk big, but when you see how tough it is to get badges, you turn Torchic. Maybe you should just quit now," said Misty.
"Misty, you idiot! Ash never chickened out when he challenge you or Brock! He beat you on his first try against each of you!" scolded Buster.
"He's right. I know because he beat me on his first try. And he did the same thing with you too," said Brock.
"No way! The only reason why he won against me cause he cheated by disrespecting Pikachu's wishes of not wanting to battle me!" said Misty.
"Ze only cheater was you, ze way you spoiled ma Pika Provolone to ze point he won't side weeth Ash! Ash and I simply steered heem back on ze right path!" said Fifi.
"Besides, I've been training Sandshrew during the past two weeks! So if I can beat both of you and Brock, I can beat Lt. Surge!" said Ash.
"All right, that's enough," said Joy.
"She started it," said Fowlmouth.
"Remember, this is a hospital," said Joy. Everybody saw the other Trainers glaring at them.
"Oh," said Ash and co.
"They say if two people fight, they really care about each other," said Joy.
"Nurse Joy, what you're saying is totally wrong. Ash and Misty hate each other," said Buster.
"Misty hates Ash because he accidentally destroyed her bike. And Ash hates Misty for pestering him to get her a new one and trying to put him down every chance she gets," said Mary.
"And my psychic powers show they indeed don't care about each other," said Shirley.
"And don't even try to use ze excuse zat bullying ees a sign a girl likes a boy. Zat ees an outdated sexist stereotype and excuse to get away weeth bullying. Ze only true way for a girl to show zat she loves a boy ees to shower zem weeth hugs and keesses, like zis," said Fifi. Fifi then wrapped her arms around thin air and began making kissy faces as if she was kissing a boy.
"Oh yeah? How come it hasn't worked for you, Fifi?" asked Fowlmouth.
"Who asked you, chicken legs?!" asked Fifi.
But I sense that Mary is developing romantic feelings for Ash, thought Shirley.
The Trainer who had the injured Sandshrew approached Ash. "How can you be sure that your Sandshrew can beat Surge's Pokémon? Mine had the type advantage, and yet it still lost," said the boy sadly.
"How can a Ground-type Pokémon lose to an Electric-type?" asked Misty. Before the boy could answer, everybody heard some beeping.
"Oh, that signal means your Pokémon is recovered," said Joy. Ash and Co. went to the Pokemon Center Lobby. Pikachu was munching on an apple. The rest of Ash and Mary's Poké Balls were on a tray next to him.
"Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Pi?" asked Pikachu.
"I hope you're full, because we have to win big at the gym today!" said Ash.
"Pi!" said Pikachu.
"C'mon, let's go win a badge!" said Ash.
"Me too," said Mary. Just then, another Chansey ran by with a Pidgey on a stretcher and another trainer at its side.
"Hurry! Just hold on Pidgey!" said the boy.
"I guess they must have just come from that gym," said Misty.
"That Trainer used the wrong type," said Shirley.
(Insert "No Way, No How!" from Pokémon)
Pikachu got scared. "What's wrong?" asked Ash.
"I think he's scared because of how he saw what happened to Pidgey," said Buster. Fifi went up to Pikachu and picked him up. She began to hug him, but it was more gentle. And she was stroking him too.
"Eet's okay, Pikachu. You're not going to be ze one battleeng anyway. Electric-types don't do well against each other from what Shirley told me. But you can come and watch," said Fifi.
"Fifi's right. That's what I've been training Sandshrew for. Let's go," said Ash.
Everybody arrived to the Vermillion City Gym. The group gazed in awe at the huge gym, which was decorated with huge, lightning bolt shaped pillars. Sandshrew was out of its Poké Ball. "So this is the Vermilion City Gym . . . ," said Ash.
"It's not to late to back out!" said Misty.
"Why should we back out when we're gonna win?" asked Mary.
"You just stick around and watch us!" said Ash.
"Shrew! Sandshrew!" said Sandshrew.
"I'll stick around to see your face when you get creamed," said Misty. Suddenly, Fowlmouth grabbed Misty by the shirt and pulled him to his level. Ash, knowing what Fowlmouth might say, he covered Sandshrew's ears.
"Will you stop being such a bleep bleep head?! Besides, you have no room to talk since you bleeping lost in such a bleeping pathetic manner!" said Fowlmouth. Misty had a look of utter fury of reminded of how she lost against Ash. And by the fact that the young rooster cursed at her in her face up close didn't help either.
"If you think we're going to lose, you're going to be disappointed!" said Ash.
"Yeah!" said Mary.
"Sandshrew," said Sandshrew.
"Are we ever going to go inside?" asked Brock.
(End Music)
(Insert "A Formidable Opponent Appears" from Pokémon)
The doors slowly creaked open and Ash and co. went inside the Gym. Two trainers were waiting for them. There was a man wearing a black leather jacket a girl wearing a red shirt and a white & green headband. "Hello. Mary and I come for a Pokemon battle to earn Thunder Badges!" said Ash.
"Hey, Boss, another victim for the emergency room!" said the Male Trainer.
"Which one?" asked Surge. Lt. Surge slowly came out of the shadows, revealing he was much bigger than Ash and his friends. He had spike blond hair & black hair and wore a green military uniform. His jacket was open, revealing his muscular chest and military dog tag.
(End Music)
"Whoa! He's huge!" said Brock.
"He could give Arnold the Pit Bull a run for his money if he's as ruthless as people say he is," said Buster.
"Is he the Gym Leader you have to beat?" asked Misty nervously.
"Welcome to . . . Vermilion Gym!" boomed Lt. Surge. Lt. Surge bent down and give Misty a big hug. "Oh, my next challenger's a cute one! Don't think I'll go easy on ya," said Lt. Surge.
"Uh . . . excuse me, but I'm not the challenger . . . ," said Misty.
"Huh? Then who?" asked Lt. Surge.
"Me! That's who!" said Ash.
"Hmm? Oh, you?" asked Lt. Surge.
"I want to challenge you too," said Mary. Lt. Surge saw how large the traveling group was. He then spotted Dizzy Devil.
"Hey, I know you," said Lt. Surge.
"You do?" asked Dizzy.
"Yeah. I saw you on the news. You gained quite the reputation for being a stupid glutton the way you kept trying to eat certain Pokémon that know Explosion or Self Destruct. And yet you're still alive," said Lt. Surge.
"It's because we're toons and we can survive anything," said Buster.
"Really," said Lt. Surge. He turned back to Dizzy Devil.
"If you were in the army, stupid gluttons like you would be considered expendable for the bomb squad," sneered Lt. Surge.
"Expendable?!" asked Dizzy.
"I can only challenge one of you at a time. So which one will go first?" asked Lt. Surge. Ash and Mary thought for a moment.
"I will," said Ash.
"Okay, baby!" said Lt. Surge, rubbing Ash's hat.
"I'm no baby! My name's Ash Ketchum," said Ash, pushing his hand aside.
"Ha! I call everybody who loses to me 'baby,'" said Lt. Surge. Just then, he spotted Ash's Pikachu and Sandshrew.
"Huh?" asked Lt. Surge.
"Pi?" asked Pikachu.
"Shrew?" asked Sandshrew.
"Ha, a Pikachu? Hey, look at this. Baby brought along some baby Pokémon!" said Lt. Surge. Lt. Surge and his assistants laughed.
"Quit it! Why are you making fun of my Pokémon?" asked Ash.
"Pika, pika!" said Pikachu.
"I'm starteeng to dislike heem already," growled Fifi.
"Well, I'll show you why," said Lt. Surge, taking out a Poké Ball.
(Insert "Absolute Death" from Pokémon)
"Go, Pokéball!" said Lt. Surge, throwing the Poké Ball. Out came his ace Pokémon. It was a rather small tailed bipedal rodent. It was able to run faster on all fours. Like Pikachu, it had long ears and feet, and stubby arms. Also like Pikachu, it had two horizontal brown stripes on its back. Its long, thin tail had a broad, lightning bolt-shaped end. Unlike Pikachu, however, it does not have fingers. Raichu was yellow-brownish in color, with a white belly. Its arms were halfway brown, as well as its feet. The soles of its big feet were tan colored. Its bifurcated ears were brown on the outsides and yellow on the insides, and end in a distinctive curl at their bottom-most point. The electric sacs on its cheeks were yellow. Like Pikachu, there were gender differences between the males and females. In the case of females, the tip of the lightning bolt on its tail is chipped. But since this one's tail was pointed, it was a male.
"Rai!" said Pokémon.
"It's a Raichu!" said Ash. Ash got out its Pokédex to get data on Lt. Surge's Raichu.
"Raichu, a mouse Pokémon of the electric element. Raichu is the evolved form of Pikachu. It can shock with more than 100,000 volts, enough to render a Dragonite unconscious," said the Pokédex.
"Chu!" said Pikachu.
"Zat's what ma Pika Provolone will evolve eento?" asked Pikachu.
"It looks fatter than Pikachu," said Buster.
"Hey! Watch your mouth, bunny boy before I zap you into rabbit stew," said Raichu dangerously.
"Don't waste your electricity on that rabbit. Use it against whoever you're gonna fight," said Lt. Surge. He turned to Ash. "Okay, baby. If you want to quit, now's your chance!" boomed Lt. Surge.
"Raichu!" said Raichu.
"There's no way we're gonna quit now!" said Ash.
"Ha! What could a baby like that do? If you want to become a Pokémon master, you should make your Pokémon evolve as soon as you catch it," said Lt. Surge.
"There's more to raising a Pokémon than forcing it to evolve! And I like this Pikachu just the way it is!" said Ash.
"Me too. I love ma Pika Provolone ze way he ees too," said Fifi.
"Did you just say love your Pika Provolone?" asked the Female Trainer.
"Oui. Vous got a problem with zat?" asked Fifi. The female Trainer began to laugh.
"Would you look at that. The stinky skunk is in love with the Pikachu," said the Female Trainer. Lt. Surge, his two assistants and Raichu laughed, making Fifi growl angrily.
"Electric Pokémon are only useful once they've learned all the different electric attacks. When I got my Eevee, I evolved it into a Jolteon right away. If I evolved it too late, it wouldn't be able to learn the attacks it can only learn as a Jolteon. You keep Pikachu puny like that, it's no more than a little pet," said Lt. Surge. Pikachu was getting angry as Lt. Surge talked him down like that.
"I wasn't even gonna use Pikachu anyway. I was gonna use my Sandshrew," said Ash.
"Shrew," said Sandshrew.
"I remember one of my last opponents used a Sandshrew. And despite having the type disadvantage, Raichu still creamed it," bragged Lt. Surge.

(Insert "Team Rocket's Secret Strategy" from Pokémon)
Back at the Team Rocket medical clinic, Jessie, James and Meowth were almost done healing, but they couldn't leave their beds yet. "Thank goodness we're almost done healing up," said Jessie.
"Yes. I don't want to miss out on the St. Anne raid," said James.
"Considering we're going to be the ones leading it," said Meowth. Suddenly, something landed SPLAT on the Team Rocket trio's heads.
"Hey!" cried Team Rocket. They felt their heads and saw a white substance on their hands. They sniffed the stuff and went
"YECH!" "Boid poop!" said Meowth. They looked up and saw the one that pooped on them was none other than Sweetie Bird.
"Hello, Team Rubes!" jeered Sweetie.
"Not you again!" said Jessie.
"I'm surprised you managed to actually survive the explosion of your cooking machine since you're not toons like me. But I'm glad you're not dead because I want to show something," said Sweetie.
"Show us what?" asked James.
"Heh, heh, heh. You'll see," said Sweetie. She took out a handheld monitor and turned it on to show to Team Rocket.
"What are we looking at?" asked Jessie.
"What you're seeing is footage that a mobile drone is recording. And right now, it's flying in Vermillion City," said Sweetie. And indeed she was controlling an air drone. She guided the drone til it was looking into the window of the Vermillion City Gym. Everybody saw Ash was about to challenge Lt. Surge.
"That's the twerps and the toons. And who's that?" asked Jessie.
"That's Lt. Surge, Vermillion City's very own Gym Leader, you dummies. Ash is going to challenge him," said Sweetie.
"Why show it to us?" asked James.
"You'll see. I can guarantee," said Sweetie.
(End Music)
The lights in the arena turned on. "Only one Pokémon may be used. The gym leader, Lieutenant Surge, has chosen Raichu. The challenger, Ash, has chosen Sandshrew. No time limit. Let the battle begin!" said the Male Assistant. The gong then rang, signaling the match to begin.
(Insert "Who is Stronger? Epic Battle!" from Pokémon)
"Go, Raichu!" said Lt. Surge.
"Rai!" said Raichu.
"Go, Sandshrew!" said Sandshrew.
"Shrew!" said Sandshrew. But suddenly, and without warning, somebody pushed Sandshrew aside, causing everybody, including Lt. Surge and his two assistants to gasp. It was Pikachu.
"Pikachu, what are you doing?! I want Sandshrew to battle!" said Ash.
"I will not sit on the sidelines while that Lt. Surge is talking smack about me! I'll prove I can fight strong in this current form!" said Pikachu.
"What?!" asked Sandshrew.
"Pikachuuuuuu!" said Pikachu as he fired a Thunder Shock attack at Raichu. Unfortunately, it hardly did that much damage on it.
"What's zat?" asked Fifi.
"Raichu, show them a real Thunder Shock!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raichu!" yelled Raichu as he let out orange electricity. Pikachu screamed as he got shocked by the more powerful attack. Everybody gasped. Fifi screamed seeing her crush get attacked brutally like that. Pikachu moaned as he struggled to get up. "Raichu," said Raichu.
"It's over, baby. You didn't really think that Pikachu could beat my Raichu, did you?" taunted Lt. Surge.
"Pikachu!" cried Ash.
"Call it back, Ash!" said Brock.
"Raichu's shocks are too powerful," said Buster.
"This is a mismatch," said Hamton.
"Pikachu, return!" said Ash. Pikachu got back up.
"Pika . . . ," said Pikachu shaking his head.
"Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Pikachu still wants to fight?" asked Fifi.
"Pi . . . Pika . . . chu!" turning to face Raichu again.
"Pikachu, you weren't supposed to be the one to fight Raichu! I wanted to use Sandshrew!" said Ash.
"This is supposed to be my fight!" said Sandshrew.
"Sorry, but my pride as an unevolved Pokémon is on the line!" said Pikachu. Lt. Surge chuckled.
"It's pretty gutsy for a toy," taunted Lt. Surge. Raichu's cheeks sparked.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as he charged.
"Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Stop, you'll get hurt!" cried Fifi. "
I enjoy playing with toys, but playtime's over. Raichu, Mega Punch!" commanded Lt. Surge.
"Rai!" said Raichu as he punched Pikachu in the face. Fifi gasped and buried her face in her tail due to how violent the fight was becoming.
"Now a Mega Kick!" said Lt. Surge.
"Chu!" said Raichu as he kicked Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" cried Ash & Fifi.
"Pika . . . ," said Pikachu as he fell to the ground. But he got back up.
"Pikachu, don't!" cried Fifi. But Pikachu wouldn't listen and charged back into the arena. Tears were welling up in Fifi's eyes. "Please . . . stop," said Fifi.
(End Music)
Team Rocket were horrified, seeing Pikachu was losing. Sweetie just smiled an unpleasant smirk and chuckled. She was enjoying tormenting Team Rocket by showing them this. "Pikachu's really getting pounded!" cried Jessie in horror.
"That Raichu really must be strong!" cried James. Sweetie chuckled.
"Exactly. Once Pikachu loses this battle, it'll prove once and for all that he's not worth stealing after all. You've wasted all this time. You might as well steal Raichu instead," taunted Sweetie. Hearing Sweetie's suggestion made Team Rocket mad.
"Steal Raichu? STEAL RAICHU?! If it weren't for these bandages, I'd slice you to ribbons, you pink rat with wings!" cried Meowth.
"Come on, Pikachu. Can't you zap it like you always do?!" asked Jessie.
"Oh no! Surge is getting ready to finish it off!" cried James. Jessie gasped.
"Now, give us the big finale, Raichu!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raichu!" yelled Raichu as he fired another electric attack. Pikachu screamed as he was got electrocuted.
"Pikachu!" cried Ash & Fifi. Pikachu fell to the ground, defeated. Fifi screamed and she ran to the arena. She picked up Pikachu.
"Pikachu, speak to moi!" cried Fifi. Pikachu didn't move, for it was knocked out cold. Fifi then glared at both Lt. Surge and Raichu. "You! You brutes! How could you rough up ma Pika Provolone like zis! Ees zis how you always treat your opponents?!" yelled Fifi.
"Just the weak ones," sneered Lt. Surge.
"Raichu," said Raichu. Lt. Surge turned to Ash.
"You need to have better discipline over your Pikachu. The way he charged into battle without orders and wouldn't let Sandshrew battle is most disappointing. If your weak baby were in the army, he'd be court-martialed for disobeying orders," said Lt. Surge. Ash just growled angrily as Fifi handed Pikachu to him. Ash and the group went to back to the Pokémon as fast as they could. Team Rocket were still baffled about how Pikachu was creamed.
"He . . . ," began Jessie.
" . . . lost," finished James.
"Pikachu lost," said Meowth. Sweetie snickered.
"I told you, Pikachu isn't worth anything and chasing after him isn't worth the medical bills. So you might as well give up your pursuit and go after some other Pokémon," gloated Sweetie. Team Rocket growled angrily.
Nurse Joy started to heal Pikachu as soon as they got there. After the healing, Pikachu laid in bed, with its wounds bandaged. The only ones in the room other than Pikachu were Ash, Brock, Mary and most of the toons. Fifi and Shirley were outside the doors of Pikachu's room. They saw Misty was marching the room. "Today just proved that Ash never had the power to handle the tougher Gym Leaders. I'm give him a scolding he'll never forget!" said Misty. But when she got to hall, she saw both Fifi and Shirley standing outside, glaring at her.
"If you're here just to put Ash down, you're not getting through these doors," said Shirley.
"Oh yes I am!" said Misty. She pushed the two girls aside and reached for the door knob. But when she tried to turn it, it wouldn't move. "What?! Why won't this stupid thing turn?!" asked Misty. After several failed attempts, she turned and saw that Shirley used her psychic powers to keep the door shut tight. "Why?! Why do you always defend Ash when he makes mistakes?!" asked Misty.
"Because we're his friends! That's why! Ever since we met you, all you've ever done is antagonize Ash even for the simplest of mistakes!" said Shirley.
"Real friends don't criticize each other for zeir mistakes harshly all ze time! You're making ze same mistake zat Sylvester ze Cat made weeth hees protégé, Furrball!" said Fifi.
"What does Furrball have to do with this?" asked Misty.
"You see, Sylvester ees unfortunately one ov ze losers ov ze original Looney Tunes. He can't seem to succeed at hees goals, which eenvolve trying to catch hees bird or mice foes. He zought hees student, Furrball would do better. But zat wasn't ze case. Sylvester always scolded heem harshly every time he failed. Eet got bad to ze point zat one ov ze other teachers, Penelope Pussycat stepped een and declared Sylvester unfeet to be hees mentor anymore. So, she became hees new mentor and adoptive mother. Unlike Sylvester, she doesn't harshly berate Furrball for hees failures. Instead, she encourages him to do better through kindness. Because of zat, Furrball started to do better at certain stuff," said Fifi.
"So what's your point?" asked Misty.
"My pint ees zat harsh criticism makes ze problems zat ze person vous are criticizing for grow worse. Kind encouragement causes zem to do better. Why can't you be more like Penelope?" asked Fifi.
"'Cause that's not how it works in my book!" said Misty.
"If that attitude is the result of your sisters teasing you, then that's bad, cause you're unfairly taking your frustration on people who don't deserve it!" said Shirley.
"You're problem ees zat you seem to forget Ash ees still a new trainer so he's bound to make mistakes. You treat hees mistakes as eef zey're big ones and you zink he constantly needs to be taunted and put down about eet. You are nothing but a big bully. Zis time, eet wasn't Ash's fault zat Pikachu got hurt. Eet was Pikachu's own! You can't bring yourself to criticize heem," scolded Fifi.
"Cause he's too cute. He likes me. And if I criticize him, he'll rebuke me. Ash is the leader of his Pokémon. And he needs to learn the first rule of leadership, everything is his fault!" said Misty.
"Not in this case! Even though Fifi likes Pikachu, she berates cause what he's doing is very bad, unlike what Ash does. Ash makes mistakes by accident. Pikachu's bad things is intentional at times," said Shirley.
"But that's not true!" said Misty.
"Eet ees true! We're wasteeng our breath on you. You want to want to continue blameeng people for stuff zat eesn't zeir fault? Fine! But Shirley and I are firm about stickeeng weeth Ash and zat Pikachu ees to blame for hees own injuries! And you are not getting eento zis room!" said Fifi. Shirley and Fifi teleported into the room and locked Misty out. Misty growled angrily.
"Those toons never side with me!" said Misty. And she stormed off.
"Thanks for sticking up for me, girls," said Ash.
"Vous heard?" asked Fifi. "Everybody heard that creep," said Ash.
"The only way she's gonna understand how Ash feels is that she gets a taste of her own medicine," said Buster.
"Agreed," said Mary. Pikachu started to wake up.
"Pi . . . ," said Pikachu.
"Pikachu. I'm glad you're okay," said Ash.
"Pika . . . ," said Pikachu. Sandshrew on the other hand was not happy.
"You little jerk! What was the big idea, shoving me out of the arena when I was about to fight?!" scolded Sandshrew.
"Lt. Surge insulted me. I wanted to prove him wrong," said Pikachu.
"But zat doesn't excuse ze fact zat you deesobeyed Ash! You can't keep doeeng zis! I was worried sick about you!" scolded Fifi.
"Fifi's right. We were all worried about you," said Mary. Pikachu's ears drooped down sadly, seeing how disappointed and mad everybody was with him. He turned away from everybody.
"Pikachu got hurt pretty badly," said Brock.
"I can see that," said Ash.
"No, no, I mean its spirit," said Brock.
"What do you mean?" asked Ash.
"Pikachu was totally overpowered by that Raichu," said Brock.
"Brock's right, Ash," said Shirley.
"We'll try harder! We'll win next time!" said Ash.
"Yeah! I'll cream that Raichu with my bare hands!" said Sandshrew.
"No way! That honor is mine!" said Pikachu.
"Yours?! Ha! Your electricity didn't even faze it!" said Sandshrew.
"I'll try harder!" argued Pikachu.
"I think you were trying your best the last time," said Fowlmouth.
"There is one way Pikachu might win," said a voice.
"Huh?" asked everybody. It was Nurse Joy. She entered through the door that wasn't locked and was carrying a box.
"I'm sorry. I overheard your conversation, and I just thought that maybe . . . ," said Nurse.
"How can we win?" asked Ash.
"A while ago, I just happened to come across this," said Joy.
(Insert "The Moon Stone" from Pokémon)
Nurse Joy opened the box, revealing what was inside of it. It was a green stone with a yellow lightning bolt symbol on it. "Wow, it's a Thunder Stone!" said Brock.
"A Thunder Stone?" asked Ash.
"Yes. You can use it to make Pikachu evolve into a Raichu," said Brock.
"I could evolve Pikachu into a Raichu?" asked Ash. He picked up the Thunder Stone. "Then Pikachu might be strong enough to win," said Ash.
"You've got to think hard before using the Thunder Stone," said Joy.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"Eef you make Pikachu evolve, Ash, you can't change heem back," said Fifi.
"Pikachu will never be the same," said Brock.
"If Pikachu becomes a Raichu, I might be able to win that badge. On the other hand, to make it evolve just to fight, I would be just like Surge," said Ash.
"Maybe vous should, how you say, let Pikachu make ze choice," said Fifi.
(End Music)
Ash turned to Pikachu. "Pikachu, what do you want to do?" asked Ash.
"Pika," said Pikachu.
"I really want to beat that Surge, but I also don't want to force you to evolve if you'd he happier staying the way you are now," said Ash. Pikachu stared at Ash holding the Thunder Stone. Sweetie happened to be showing Team Rocket the scene using the drone.
"He's letting Pikachu decide," said Jessie.
"If it becomes Raichu, it'll be stronger," said James.
"What's it gonna do?" asked Meowth.
"Pi . . . ," said Pikachu as he started to get up.
"Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Save your strength!" said Mary.
Suddenly, Pikachu swatted the Thunder Stone out of Ash's hand. "Pikachu!" said Pikachu. Ash gasped.
"Pikachu," said Ash.
"Pika, Pikachu! Pika! Pi, pi, pi, Pikachu! Chu! Pika, Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"It's so brave!" said Meowth as tears poured from his eyes.
"So tell us what Pikachu's saying," said Jessie.
"Pikachu says it won't change. If it's going to beat a Raichu, it wants to do it just as it is," said Meowth.
"You mean, it's going to battle again as a Pikachu?" asked Jessie.
"It's going to fight in the name of all Pikachu!" said Meowth. James started to tear up too.
"Really? That's so beautiful!" said James.
"Oh brother," said Sweetie, rolling her eyes. Ash held one of Pikachu's hands.
"Pikachu, together, you and I will beat Lieutenant Surge and his Raichu," said Ash.
"Pika, pika!" said Pikachu.
"You're both crazy!" sad Mary.
"You should change your strategy, Ash," said Brock.
"Maybe use your other Pokémon," said Buster.
"Yeah! I was hoping to battle," said Sandshrew.
"Wait a minute. I remembered. Lt. Surge mentioned he has a Jolteon too, which we haven't seen yet, right?" asked Shirley.
"Yeah. I do. He said he that he had one," said Ash.
"So maybe we can convince heem to allow eet so zat you and heem can use two Pokémon each. Zat way, both Pikachu and Sandshrew can get what zey want," said Fifi.
"Now you're talking!" said Sandshrew.
"You're right. It's hard, but it's not impossible. Pikachu and I will find a way to win," said Ash.
"Pika, Pikachu! Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Huh?" asked Jessie.
"Pikachu will prove it can beat Raichu. It will defend its honor and Ash's!" said Meowth.
"Oh, dear, that's magnificent!" sobbed James.
"All right, are we all charged up?" asked Ash.
"Pi . . . ," said Pikachu. But suddenly, Pikachu felt he himself stumbling. "Pika . . . ," said Pikachu as he collapsed on his bed.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"It hasn't fully recovered its stamina. You should let it rest a little while longer," said Joy.
"Hmm. Pikachu," said Ash.
In the lobby, Misty was still fuming about how Fifi and Shirley were defending Ash. "It's not fair! Every time I criticize Ash for his mistakes, those toons are always throwing it back in my face! He never listens to me, but he listens to them! It's no wonder he gets worse with each passing day!" said Misty. But that was all in her head. Just then, she heard Ash and the toons converse as they were entering the lobby.
"Oh, zis whole thing has moi so nervous," said Fifi.
"You're worried about Pikachu, aren't you, Fifi?" asked Ash.
"Oui. I hope he'll be okay!" said Fifi.
"Hey, Ash," said Brock.
"Yeah?" asked Ash.
"During the fight, Surge said that he made his Raichu evolve as soon as he got it, didn't he?" asked Brock.
"Yeah," said Ash.
"Then perhaps there is a way," said Brock.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"Are you telling me you intend to use Pikachu against Raichu again?" asked Misty.
"He ees. So Brock, tell us what vous had een mind," said Fifi.
Everybody gathered at the Gym once again. "Hey, baby, you ready to take another beating? You didn't even make your Pikachu evolve. You haven't learned anything yet!" jeered Lt. Surge.
"Don't you be so sure, Surge!" said Ash.
"Okay, well, let's see," said Lt. Surge.
"For this rematch, I want it to be so that we can each use two Pokémon cause my Sandshrew still wants to battle too," said Ash. Lt. Surge thought for a moment.
"Very well. For my first Pokémon, I choose . . . Jolteon!" said Lt. Surge as he threw a Poké Ball. Out came the said Pokémon. Jolteon was a quadrupedal, mammalian Pokémon. It was covered in yellow fur with a spiky fringe around its tail and a white ruff around its neck. Its ears were large and pointed with black interiors, and its eyes and small nose were black. It had slender legs and small paws, each with three toes and a pink paw-pad.
"Jolteon!" said Jolteon.
(Insert "Pokédex Theme, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)
Ash got out his Pokédex to get data on the Pokémon. "Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon. Jolteon evolves from Eevee when exposed to a Thunder Stone. When angered or frightened, the hairs on Jolteon's body become like needles that are fired at its opponents. It absorbs charged atoms and can produce 10,000 volts of electricity," said the Pokédex.
(End Music)
"It's hair turning into needles? Imagine if Jolteon did that if Elmyra tried to give it one of her bone crushing hugs," said Buster. The toons began to imagine the scenario.
Imagination . . .
The toons imagined that the instant that Elmyra would spot a Jolteon, she would immediately want to make it her newest pet. "Cutie!" said Elmyra as she ran up to Jolteon. She then seized it in her arms and began to crush him with one of her hugs. "I'm gonna hold you, squeeze you and love you to pi . . . ," said Elmyra. Suddenly, Jolteon's fur became needle-like, just like the Pokédex said it can. Elmyra's eyes widened as she felt the sharp quills poke and even pierce at her skin. She screamed in agony, real loud!
Reality . . .
"That may happen," said Fowlmouth.
"For this battle, each Trainer will use two Pokémon each. Only the challenger is allowed to make substitutions. For the first round, the challenger, Ash, using a Sandshrew. The gym leader, Lieutenant Surge using a Jolteon. Each round will have the Pokémon battle one-on-one with no time limit. Let the battle begin!" said the Male Assistant. The gong sound, signaling the match.

"Go, Sandshrew!" said Ash.
"Sandshrew!" said Sandshrew.
"Jolteon, go!" said Lt. Surge.
"Jolteon!" said Jolteon. The two Pokémon were now ready to fight each other.
"Jolteon, start things off with a Pin Missile!" said Lt. Surge.
"Jolt!" said Jolteon. Its fur became spiky and it fired multiple yellow needles from it at Sandshrew.
"Sandshrew, use Defense Curl!" said Ash.
"Shrew!" said Sandshrew. Sandshrew curled into a ball and it became outlined in a yellow aura. The needles just bounced off of Sandshrew's body. Unfortunately, one of the needles was sent flying toward where Ash's friends were at. They gasped and ran out of the way. But unfortunately, it hit Misty in the butt, poking her. Misty screamed as she felt the pain.
"Watch where you're deflecting these things! I could've lost an eye!" yelled Misty. The toons were trying not to laugh.
"Sandshrew, use Poison Sting!" said Ash. Sandshrew spun around in its ball form and fired some stingers, which hit Jolteon.
"You're not as wimpy as I thought. Jolteon, use Trailblaze!" said Lt. Surge. Jolteon then moved rapidly toward the opponent in a zigzag motion. It then hit Sandshrew by ramming it. It did super effective damage.
"What happened?!" asked Hamton.
"Trailblaze is a Grass-type move. And since Sandshrew is Ground-type, that's why it did super effective damage," said Mary.
"You really think I didn't have a way for my Electric-types to counter Ground-types? Think again. Now, use Bite, Jolteon," said Lt. Surge. Jolteon charged, ready to bite Sandshrew.
"Sandshrew, use Dig to dodge it!" said Ash. Sandshrew then burrowed into the ground and Jolteon missed its target.
"Jolt?" asked Jolteon. Suddenly, Sandshrew burst out of the ground and struck Jolteon. Jolteon yelped as it got hit by Sandshrew.
"Now Sandshrew, use Rollout!" said Ash. Sandshrew curled into a ball and began to roll toward Jolteon. BAM! Jolteon was knocked down by the attack. Sandshrew turned around and charged at Jolteon again.
"Jolteon, dodge it!" said Lt. Surge. Jolteon jumped out of the way of the attack.
"Now, use Trailblaze again!" said Lt. Surge. Jolteon executed the attack and hit Sandshrew, forcing it to uncurl. "Pin Missile!" said Lt. Surge. Jolteon fired more pins.
"Sandshrew, Poison Sting to counter them!" said Ash. Sandshrew fired more stingers. The stingers and pins hit each other. But some of them hit their targets. Suddenly, Lt. Surge gasped. For part of Jolteon's face was turning purple.
"Look at Jolteon. It looks like it's been poisoned," said Hamton.
"Sandshrew, use Bulldoze!" said Ash. Sandshrew jumped and slammed its feet on the ground. This sent out a series of yellow shockwaves towards Jolteon. Jolteon yelped as it got hit by the attack. And it was enough to K.O. it too, as indicated by its dizzy eyes.
"Jolteon is unable to battle! Sandshrew wins!" said the Male Assistant.
"Yeah! Alright!" said Ash.
"Sandshrew!" said Sandshrew triumphantly. Lt. Surge growled frustrated.
"Jolteon, return," said Lt. Surge. He returned Jolteon to its Poké Ball. "I'll give you credit, your Sandshrew is stronger than I thought. But it's no match for Raichu!" said Lt. Surge. He threw the ball and Raichu was summoned once again.
"Raichu!" said Raichu.
"The challenger, Ash, using a Sandshrew. The gym leader, Lieutenant Surge using a Raichu. Let round 2 begin," said the Announcer. The gong sounded once again.
"Sandshrew, use Rollout!" said Ash. Sandshrew curled up and charged at Sandshrew.
"Raichu, stand your ground!" said Lt. Surge. Raichu took a defensive pose. Sandshrew rolled closer and closer to Raichu. "Now, Raichu! Stop Sandshrew with your hands!" said Lt. Surge. Raichu then grabbed at Sandshrew in an attempt to stop it in its tracks. Raichu gritted his teeth as he struggled to stop Sandshrew's rolling. "Now, throw him to the ground!" said Lt. Surge. Raichu did as Lt. Surge commanded, throwing Sandshrew onto the ground, forcing him to uncurl. Ash and his friends gasped.
"Now use Body Slam!" said Lt. Surge. Raichu jumped and slammed onto Sandshrew with its body, causing it to yelp. This was enough to defeat Sandshrew.
(End Music)
"Sandshrew is unable to battle, Raichu wins!" said the Announcer. Lt. Surge let out a triumphant laugh. Ash ran up to Sandshrew and picked him up.
"Sandshrew, are you okay?" asked Ash.
"Shrew," said Sandshrew.
"Take a good rest. You earned it," said Ash. He returned Sandshrew to its Poké Ball.
"For my final Pokémon, I choose Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"The challenger, Ash, using a Pikachu. The gym leader, Lieutenant Surge, using a Raichu. The Pokémon will battle one-on-one with no time limit. Let the final round begin!" said the Male Assistant. The gong sounded yet again.
(Insert "Raid!" from Pokémon)
"Use the strategy we planned, Pikachu! You can do it!" said Pikachu.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"A strategy? So they've been planning a new way to lose. Go, Raichu!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raichu!" said Raichu. As Pikachu charged at Raichu, Raichu suddenly whipped Pikachu with its longer tail.
"Ah!" gasped Ash. Pikachu groaned as he crashed to the ground. Suddenly, Raichu whipped Pikachu with its tail again, repeatedly. Pikachu yelped as he was getting whipped. "Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Hang een zere, Pikachu!" said Fifi.
"Roll to the side and break away!" said Brock.
"It can't lose!" said Jessie.
"Surely it should be doing better in this rematch!" said James.
"Come on!" said Meowth.
"Hmph. It looks he's gonna have to be taught another lesson," sneered Sweetie.
"Do it Raichu! Give it the Body Slam!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raiiiiiii!" said Raichu. He slammed into Pikachu using its body.
"Chuuuuuu!" cried Pikachu.
"Ahhhhh!" cried Ash.
"Finish it Raichu! Another Body Slam!" said Lt. Surge.
"Chuuuuuu!" said Raichu. He jumped and began to descend toward Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" cried everybody.
"Watch out!" cried Ash. Pikachu's ears pricked up and he jumped out of the way, just as Raichu slammed into the ground.
"What?" asked Lt. Surge.
"Chu?" asked Raichu.
"All right!" said Team Rocket.
"What?!" asked Sweetie.

"Do it, Pikachu, Agility now!" said Ash.
"Chuuu!" said Pikachu as he began to run real fast.
"Raichu! Use your Body Slam!" said Lt. Surge.
"Chuuuuu!" said Raichu. Raichu tried several times to slam Pikachu, but Pikachu was moving too fast and dodging each time.
"Uh, Raichu?" asked Lt. Surge.
"It's working!" said Mary.
"Just like Brock said!" said Misty.
"Right. Raichu evolved too fast and it never learned the speed attacks it can only learn in the Pikachu stage!" said Brock.
"Okay! Use all the Agility you got!" said Ash.
"Pikaaaaa!" said Pikachu. Pikachu ran in circles around Raichu. Seeing how Pikachu was finally doing great, both Fifi and Shirley instantly changed into Pikachu themed cheerleaders. They jumped up and down and shook their pom poms.
"Pikachu, Pikachu, do your best! Show them that you're better than the rest!" chanted the two girls. All that running was making Raichu dizzy.
"Your Raichu's way too slow Surge! That's it's weakness!" said Ash. Now Lt. Surge was very mad.
"All right Raichu, Jolteon, give it a Thunderbolt! Shut it down!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raichuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" screamed Raichu as it gave off a powerful Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt broke the ground and shattered the windows of the gym, and filled the arena with smoke. Sweetie moved the drone out of the way so that the electricity won't hit it.
(End Music)
"Heh heh! The end of the match! Huh? What?" asked Lt. Surge. When the smoke cleared, Lt. Surge saw that Pikachu still standing, with his tail stuck into the ground. "What?" asked Lt. Surge.
(Insert "I Got a Pokémon" from Pokémon)
"Pikachu!" said Ash.
"All right! Way to go!" said Brock.
"It used its tail as a ground and dodged the electric shock!" said Buster.
"Ha ha! Pikachu's winning!" said Jessie to Sweetie tauntingly.
"That Raichu's losing his edge!" said James.
"And it's gonna lose the battle!" said Meowth. Sweetie growled angrily, seeing that her plan to break Team Rocket was failing. Pikachu turned to face Raichu who was looking worn out.
"Raichu! Give it another Thunderbolt!" said Surge.
"Raiiiiiii!" said Raichu, trying to unleash a Thunderbolt. But no electricity came out.
"Uh oh!" said Lt. Surge.
"Raiiiiiii!" said Raichu. He tried again, but it couldn't. "Chu?" asked Raichu.
"Do something!" said Surge.
"It's over," said Brock.
"Raichu ran out of electricity," said Buster.
"All right! Quick Attack Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Raichu! Take down now!" said Lt. Surge. Raichu tried to attack, but Pikachu was faster. It was overpowered by Pikachu's Quick Attack and an electrified Tail Whip. Raichu then fainted. "Unbelievable!" cried Lt. Surge, looking stunned.
"Chuuuuuuu . . . ," groaned Raichu. Raichu had swirls in its eyes.
"We did it Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Way to go!" said Brock.
"Fantastic!" said Misty.
"YAY, PIKACHU!" yelled Fifi excitedly as an explosion of hearts ignited around her.
"Hooray!" said Jessie & James.
"Victory!" said Meowth.
"No! It can't be!" cried Sweetie.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, looking proud.
(End Music)
"Congratulations! Nice job Ash, Pikachu," said Lt. Surge, shaking Ash's hand. "As proof of your victory, a Thunder Badge along with TM 126: Thunderbolt and 4,160 Poké Dollars!" said Lt. Surge, handing Ash the prizes.
"Thank you," said Ash. The Thunder Badge was octagon shaped, just like the Boulder Badge, except it was orange with yellow petals, which made it looks like a flower. "Would you look at that? It's really a Thunder Badge!" said Ash.
"You should be proud. You, Sandshrew and your Pikachu really fought good together," said Lt. Surge.
"Thanks. A Thunder Badge! And it's all mine!" said Ash.
"Pi-pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Sandshrew!" said Sandshrew.

Everybody began to applaud, including Raichu. He had some bandages on his chest and face. "Nice victory, Ash! You're no baby!" said Lt. Surge.
"Congratulations, Ash, Pikachu, Sandshrew," said Brock.
"You got your third badge," said Mary. Even Misty applauded.
"I hate to admit it, but it looks like Ash managed to beat him after all," said Misty. Ash picked up both Pikachu and Sandshrew and hugged them both.
"Thank you, Pikachu and Sandshrew. This was your victory," said Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Shrew!" said Sandshrew. Fifi coughed to get Ash's attention.
"Oh, here you go, Fifi," said Ash, handing Pikachu to Fifi. Both Fifi and Shirley began to hug him, sandwiching him in between their bazongas.
"Congratulations, ma Pika Provolone! You won Ash hees third badge!" said Fifi.
"Like, you totally deserve some victory kisses," said Shirley. She put on lipstick that was the same shade of pink like her shirt and bow. Both girls puckered their lipstick coated lips, ready to smooch Pikachu. Pikachu struggled to prevent their lips from touching him.
"Come on, Pikachu. For once, let them kiss you. You earned it," said Ash.
"Ugh. Fine. That doesn't mean I have to enjoy it," said Pikachu. Both Shirley and Fifi then began to kiss Pikachu all over, leaving him covered in kiss marks of two different shades of pink.
"Now for ze big, wet, juicy one on ze lips," said Fifi. She then began to kiss Pikachu on the lips. As she began to wrap her tail around Pikachu and let go of him with her hands so that her tail can do the hugging. She then began to use her hands to squeeze Pikachu's cheeks to make him pucker up. Once she began to do that, she began to really deepen the kiss. Shirley's eyes widened and stood back.
"Wait, Fifi! You shouldn't squeeze his cheeks that hard! You'll set off his . . . ," said Shirley. But it was too late. ZAP! Fifi's squeezing Pikachu's cheeks set off his electricity by accident.
"LE OUCH!" cried Fifi as she got zapped.
" . . . electric sacs," said Shirley. As a result, her hair and fur was not just poofed up, but her lips were swollen to a large size.
"Oops. Sorry," said Pikachu, blushing in embarrassment. Fifi growled in annoyance.
"You know. Your lips may look more kissable that way to Pikachu. Just a couple more zapping sessions and it should become permanent," joked Fowlmouth. That only earned him a punch to the beak from Fifi. Fowlmouth let out some muffled curses as he clutched his beak. Lt. Surge turned to Mary Melody.
"I'll be able to battle your tomorrow," said Lt. Surge.
"Okay. I look forward to it," said Mary. Ash and Pikachu won a Thunder Badge in an impressive performance, but they still have a long way to go to reach their goal, and the toons do too on their goal on finding their way back home. And so the adventure continues on and on.
(End Music)
At the Team Rocket medical clinic, Team Rocket were gloating in Sweetie's face. "You see, you loud mouthed rat with wings? That Pikachu really is special," said James.
"That's why it's worth snatching!" said Jessie.
"Hey, once we steal it, maybe we can earn our own badges!" said Meowth. Sweetie then began to laugh.
"What's so funny?" asked James.
"Do you really think this one victory is gonna change my mind about that Pikachu?" asked Sweetie.
"What?!" asked Jessie & Meowth.
"The only reason why Raichu lost was because it was a slowpoke cause it didn't learn any of the speed attacks it could only learn as a Pikachu. If Raichu had all its attacks, Pikachu would've still lost. My point is that Pikachu only got lucky. The more tough Gym battles are yet to come. So there are plenty of opportunities for the world to prove to you that Pikachu isn't worth your time chasing!" said Sweetie. And she flew away, laughing rudely. Team Rocket growled angrily.
"When it's time to do the St. Anne raid tomorrow, we'll show you that we're right!" growled Meowth.
