Episode Fifty-Six: Aerial Assault

The Sky Patrol flies high above the cloud line, its cannons aimed squarely at the massive Egg 'Stache Flyer looming in the distance. The tension builds as both airships prepare for an intense battle, with one Chaos Emerald powering the Sky Patrol and two powering the Egg 'Stache Flyer. Inside the Sky Patrol, Silver stands at the helm, issuing commands as the ship's crew readies their weapons.

*Silver: (determined) "We've got the firepower to take them down. Focus on weakening their hull and targeting their engines!"

Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter stand at the edge of the launch bay, adjusting their footing on their Extreme Gear. Jupiter is calm and focused, while Sailor Moon clings desperately to her board, clearly out of her element.

*Moon: (nervously) "M-Mako-chan, are you sure about this? I'm not exactly a pro at hoverboarding!"

*Jupiter: (grinning) "Don't worry, Usagi-chan. Just hold on tight, and I'll do the heavy lifting. We're gonna hit 'em where it hurts."

Sailor Moon swallows hard, gripping Jupiter's waist as she steadies herself on the board. Knuckles adjusts the straps of his gloves as he stands on his own hoverboard, Red Rock, ready to engage.

*Knuckles: (serious) "Let's knock that ship out of the sky before they can pull any more tricks."

*Jupiter: (smirking) "That's the plan, Knux. Let's roll!"

With that, the trio launch out of the Sky Patrol and zoom toward the Egg 'Stache Flyer on their Extreme Gear, the wind rushing past them as they fly into the fray. Cannons roar from both ships as blasts of energy light up the sky. Knuckles zips ahead, his hoverboard kicking up sparks as he maneuvers through the incoming fire. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Moon follow close behind.

*Moon: (clutching Jupiter tightly, eyes wide) "I think I'm going to be sick…!"

*Jupiter: (laughing) "You're doing fine! Just focus on holding on!"

The Sky Patrol unleashes a barrage of energy blasts, which rock the Egg 'Stache Flyer. Jupiter's eyes narrow as she spots a vulnerable section of the hull. She raises her arm, lightning crackling around her fingertips.

*Jupiter: "Let's see how you handle this! Jupiter... Thunder... DRAGON!"

A massive dragon-shaped bolt of electricity erupts from her hands, slamming into the side of the Egg 'Stache Flyer. The ship shudders as sparks fly, and one of the cannons explodes. Sailor Moon, still clinging to Jupiter, finds her voice amidst the chaos.

"Moon... Spiral... Heart… ATTACK!"

From her Heart Moon Scepter, Sailor Moon summons a glowing heart-shaped bolt of light, which crashes into one of the Flyer's engines, causing a fiery explosion. Inside the Flyer, alarms blare as Eggman's control panel lights up with warnings.

*Cubot: "We're getting clobbered out here! What do we do?!"

*Orbot: "What we can do! Keep fighting for the boss!"

In the hangar bay of the Egg 'Stache Flyer, a swirling vortex rips open, and Eggman emerges from the rift, his Big Arms mech towering over him. Metal Sonic flies out beside him, glowing with energy as he re-enters the battlefield.

*Eggman: (grinning wickedly) "Ah, Metal Sonic… I've missed you."

Suddenly the entire ship was rocked violently.

*Eggman: "WHAT THE?! Who dares?!"

*Orbot: (over comms) "It's the Sky Patrol, sir! Knuckles, Sailor Moon, and Sailor Jupiter are attacking us!"

*Eggman: (coldly) "They won't be much longer. Metal, you know what to do."

Metal Sonic's eyes flash red as he speeds toward the incoming attackers. In a blur of motion, he slams into Knuckles, knocking him off his board and sending him spiraling through the air. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Moon's eyes widen as Metal Sonic rockets toward them next.

*Jupiter: (gritting her teeth) "Hang on, Usagi! We're about to hit some turbulence!"

Metal Sonic charges straight at them, his fist glowing with energy. Jupiter swerves to avoid him, but Metal Sonic is too fast. He clips the edge of their board, sending both Sailor Moon and Jupiter tumbling through the air.

*Moon: (screaming) "Jupiter! I'm falling!"

Jupiter struggles to regain control, but Metal Sonic knocks her board out from under her with a powerful punch. Both Sailors plummet toward the ground, but before they hit, a beam of light envelops them — rescued by the Sky Patrol's grappling beams. Knuckles is similarly retrieved, bruised but conscious.

*Knuckles: (gritting his teeth) "That…Metal…"

Metal Sonic hovers in the air for a moment, watching the retreating Sky Patrol with cold, calculating eyes before returning to the Egg 'Stache Flyer. Inside, Eggman smirks as his ship, though damaged, begins to pull away from the battlefield.

*Eggman: (smiling darkly) "You may have scratched my ship, but this isn't over. You'll regret ever challenging me."

The Egg 'Stache Flyer flies off, trailing smoke, but still operational. Eggman's anger at Sally's relentless assaults simmers beneath the surface.

Cut to Sonic, Ami, Minako, and Bunnie walking through the southern part of Northamer. The landscape has shifted from jungle to arid desert, with the hot sun beating down on them as they traverse the sandy dunes. Bunnie wipes her brow, glancing around.

*Bunnie: "Looks like we're not too far from the Southern Baronies. It's my ol' stompin' grounds. Wonder how my Uncle Beau's doin' these days."

*Venus: (grinning) "Northamer... The continent of diversity and equality! I've always wanted to visit! The mix of Mobians and Humans living together — it's like a dream!"

*Mercury: (walking quietly beside Sonic, looking thoughtful) "There's so much history here. This continent saw the Great War, didn't it? The war that changed everything for Mobians and Overlanders alike."

Sonic nods, his tone quieter than usual as he reflects on the significance.

*Sonic: "Yeah... it wasn't pretty. I was born into it. A lot of people got hurt, on both sides. But things have come a long way since then. The Overlanders are all but gone now; most went off into space after losing the war, and the rest went to Eurish to start over. And there are a few that became refugees in the United Federation…"

Ami takes Sonic's hand in hers, giving him a soft smile.

*Mercury: "I'm glad I get to see this part of your world. It's important to understand what shaped it... and what we're fighting to protect."

Sonic looks at her, his usual cocky grin softened by her kindness.

*Sonic: "With people like you around, we'll make sure history doesn't repeat itself."

Minako, walking ahead, shielding her eyes from the sun as she spots something on the horizon.

*Venus: "Looks like we're heading in the right direction. The Egg Army base is a few hundred miles northeast from here. Let's keep moving!"

The group continues on their journey, the desert stretching out before them as they head toward the base.

Cut to the frozen wastelands of Artika. Sally warps into the snow-covered terrain, less than a mile from the Artika Egg Army base. The wind howls around her, but she pays it no mind, her eyes fixed on the base in the distance. She scowls, her gauntlets crackling with energy as she ignites the Ring-Blades within them, ready for battle.

*Sally: (coldly) "Another one bites the dust."

Without hesitation, she charges forward, the snow and ice crunching beneath her feet as she races toward the base, determined to destroy yet another piece of Eggman's empire.
