Ch 125 Evaluation Battle Pt 2

N chuckles at Glacia's challenging him, "Heh," He shook his head, feeling a sense of nostalgia. "I'm sorry, this brings back fond memories for me," He answered back, gazing up at the Ice-type Elite Four,

"Does it now? Is it because you were the Leader of Team Plasma, Mr. Potter?" Glacia asked, receiving a surprise expression on her Opponent's face. "Oh yes, even here in the Hoenn Region, we're fully aware of who you are, Mr. Potter."

The pale blonde-haired Woman nodded, "But I digress, that was in your Past and should be treated as such." Glacia commented, wanting to see the former King's reaction. "However, I do wish that you wouldn't hold back because of that. I really want to see what strength you have when you befriend the Dragon of Truth." She said, holding her Hand out to the young Man.

N's eyes were covered by his Hat; a smirk was growing across his face as he looked up at the Elite Four Member. "Ah, it's been a while since I've truly Battle like this." He lifted his Partner's Pokeball, his eyes not letting off from Glacia's place.

"Your Pokemon…" N closes his eyes, hearing the voices of Glacia's Pokemon Partner. "Let me hear their voice," He smiles, moving his Hand back, about to toss it onto the Battlefield.

"Come out, my Friend!" N tossed his Partner's Pokeball, releasing Zoroark and landing on the Battlefield.

The Illusion Pokemon released a strong Battle cry, echoing throughout the Arena.

Glacia felt the powerful strength from where she was standing. "Magnificent, I could feel your Zoroark's powerful Aura." She said, complimenting on the strength of the Dark-type Pokemon is producing.

"I could tell that you raised your Friend well, Mr. Potter," Even though Glacia wasn't an Ability User, she could tell when a Pokemon is well taken care of by their trainers. Mainly because of her long experience as an Elite Four Member, seeing many Pokemon and their trainers in her Years.

N smiles, appreciating the pale-blonde haired Woman's comment she made. "I appreciate your compliment, Ms. Glacia." The green-haired trainer said, looking at the Ice-type trainer.

"However, raising your Pokemon properly is one part of becoming a Gym Leader." The pale-blonde Woman brought up her Partner's Pokeball to her face, "Glalie, let's go!" Glacia pulled back her Arm and tossed the Pokeball onto the Battlefield.

The Pokeball opened and released a large Head made of Ice, "GLALIE!" The pure Ice-type Pokemon cried out, also releasing a powerful aura indicating the scale of his Power.

N closed his eyes, hearing the voice of Glacia's Partner. "Your Pokemon's voice," He smiles at the Ice-type Elite Four Member. "Such devotion and Loyalty towards you, Glacia." He commented,

"I figured you'd say that, Mr. Potter," Glacia said, raising her Partner since he was a Snowrunt. "Both me and Glalie experienced much together, I raised him like all of my Pokemon as my Children." She commented before continuing with the Evaluation Battle.

"Now, shall we proceed, Mr. Potter?" The pale blonde-haired Woman asked the young Man before her.

N/Zoroark vs Glacia/Glalie

N nodded, holding out his Hand as he took the First Move. "Zoroark, Shadow Claw!" He ordered his Partner, wanting to test the waters of Glalie.

Zoroark's Claws began to emit a shadowy Aura before leaping toward the Face Pokemon. He extends his Arms, clawing at his Opponent,

However, Glacia wasn't all too worried about the Dark-type's Attack. In a quick response, she responded to N and Zoroark's Attack. "Glalie, deflect the Attack with Gyro Ball!" She gazed up at the Battle.

"Glalie!" The Ice-type Pokemon swiftly spun around, his body had a metallic hue as it deflected Zoroark's Attack.

N steps forward, "Zoroark, leap back!" He cried out to his Friend, seeing Glalie might retaliate against his Friend.

Zoroark heard his Partner calling for him to fall back. In a split second, Glalie lunges at the Dark-type Pokemon, only for him to dodge it in Time.

Glacia and Glalie watch as Zoroark lands in front of the green-haired trainer. "Impressive, much impressive." She said, seeing how fast the Illusion Pokemon was.

On the Stands, the Gym Leaders, the rest of the Elite Four, and the Hoenn Champion sat, observing the Evaluation Battle. Thus far they were impressed by what N and his Partner are showing during the Battle,

"Zoroark is one fast Pokemon," Flannery commented, rarely seeing N and Zoroark participating in Pokemon Battles. "He dodges so fast that you could barely see him dodge Glalie's Attack." The Fire-type Gym Leader commented on the Speed the Dark-type Pokemon is displaying.

Brawly nodded, also impressed by Zoroark's Speed as well. "You can say that again, Flans." He said, adding to his Girlfriend's comment about N's Partner's Speed. "Man, I want to know how N train his Zoroark to be that fast. Arceus knows that my Pokemon needs a training regime like that!" The Sky-blue haired Man commented, wanting to know N's training method.

"I don't think a training regime explains Zoroark's Speed," Winona added, denying Brawly's assumption about Zoroark's Speed. The Flying-type Gym Leader looks back at the Battle where Zoroark used Quick Attack against Glalie only for him to retaliate by using Blizzard in response.

Zoroark once more maneuvers through the cold harsh Winds produced by the Face Pokemon. N proceeded to order his Partner to Attack once more with Dark Pulse,

"From what I read on Zoroarks is that they are nimble and very fast in the Unova Region." The Lilac-haired Woman explains, reading up on the Zoroark Species from the moment they heard N's Partner is the Illusion Pokemon.

Steven agreed with Winonna, witnessing Firsthand Zoroark's Speed himself when they went to rescue Helena from Team Magma. "Glalie and Glacia might have a hard Time keeping up with Zoroark's Speed." The Hoenn Champion commented,

"Indeed, but Glacia is someone who's always had some trick up in her sleeves," Drake added, believing in his fellow Senior Member of the Elite Four. "Remember, Glacia has experienced being cornered and Pokemon who's faster than her own." The Dragon master said, knowing that her fellow Elite Four Member has been in many situations she found herself in currently.

"Keep on your feet, Zoroark, and use Brick Break! Don't let Glalie touch you!" N called out to the Illusion Pokemon, going for a hit-and-run tactic.

Zoroark's Arms glowed an orange hue as he continued to dash around the Glalie who was trying to keep up with him.

The Dark-type Pokemon leaps towards the Ice-type, raising his Arm at him.

Glacia smiled, gazing up at the two Pokemon on the Battlefield, and spoke out. "Glalie, use Icy Wind against Zoroark!" The pale-blonde haired Woman announced to her Partner,

The Ice-type Pokemon faced Zoroark, opening his Mouth, and released a powerful cold Winds at the Dark-type Pokemon.

Zoroark gritted his teeth, feeling the sheer coldness from the Ice-type Move. He leaps back, unable to successfully land his Attack.

The Illusion Pokemon landed far from the Ice-type Pokemon before any major damage could inflicted onhim. However, despite being quick on his feet, he still wasn't quick enough to receive some damage.

Everyone saw there was bits a piece of Ice formed on the slick black fur on his Body. "Zoroark, are you okay!?" N asked, seeing that his Friend wasn't fast enough to dodge the Icey Wind.

Zoroark smirks back at his Friend, indicating that he was alright. However with the Ice patches on his Body weighing him down from using his Speed in Battle.

N knew that his Friend's Speed was now hindered by the previous Attack. 'This is bad, Zoroark has large Ice patches on his fur. He cannot rely on his Speed that much now,' He said to himself, trying to figure out a way around Zoroark's Status effect.

Back in the Locker rooms, Helena and Gardevoir watched the green-haired trainer's Battle with Glacia. Many saw what happened to Zoroark in the Battle,

The Gym Leader Candidates were watching intensely the Evaluation Battle between the former King of Team Plasma and an Elite Four Member.

"Gardevoir…" Gardevoir saw the state of her Friend, cheering him on despite the hindrance he received.

Helena placed her Hand on her Chest as she watched her Brother and Zoroark struggle against Glacia and her Glalie. "N…I know you can overcome this." She said, having faith in her Older Brother's ability to overcome this Challenge.

N released a deep sigh, still thinking of a way to overcome this obstacle. "You can't always rely on Speed to win, Mr. Potter." The green-haired trainer looked up at his Opponent who had given him advice in the middle of the Battle.

"Using your Partner's Speed to confuse your Opponent is a smart Strategy," Glacia compliments N's use of Strategy of Speed. "However, Speed will only get to certain positions in Pokemon Battles." The Ice-type trainer said to the young Ability User before her.

"Sooner or later, you have to go on Offense and Attack head-on." Glacia crossed her Arms while resting her Head on the other Hand.

N knew that Glacia was right, he couldn't rely on Speed to win every Battle. He looks at his Friend who looks back at him,

The young Man heard the voice of his Partner, wanting to change tactics. N nodded proceeding to change their Battle strategy. "Alright, Zoroark we're going on the Offensive." The green-haired trainer said to his Partner,

Zoroark nodded, awaiting his Friend's orders. "Zoroark, use Swords Dance follow up with Night Slash!" N held his Hand out, relaying his orders to him.

The Illusion Pokemon roared as translucent Purple Aura covered his Claws. He dashed forward, glaring at the Opponent ready to strike.

Glacia looks up with a smug expression, she then raises her Hand and cries out. "Glalie, use ice Beam on the Battlefield!" The pale-blonde haired Woman relayed her orders to her Partner.

"Glalie!" The Face Pokemon opened his Mouth as a light blue ball formed before him. He then released a barrage of light blue Lighting around the Battlefield, freezing the ground.

Zoroark saw the Ice Beam freezing the ground, and both he and N quickly realized that the Ice would hinder his Speed. "Zoroark, be careful around the Battlefield. You might slip on those Ice patches," The green-haired trainer warns his Partner about the obstacles.

The Dark-type Pokemon nodded, taking his trainer's words to Heart. He leaps in the air, landing on the small patches of dirt that the Ice Beam missed.

In anticipation, N proceeded to move to Offense and relay his orders to his Friend. "Zoroark, before Glalie has a chance!" N called out to his Partner, "Use Shadow Claw!" He cried out, seeing an opening they could take.

Zoroark's Claws began to emit a Shadowy Aura before coming down on the Face Pokemon.

Glacia quickly responded to N's sudden Attack. "Glalie, catch Zoroark with Crunch and slam him to the ground!" The Ice-type Elite Four Member ordered her Partner,

Glalie's Mouth opened wide, heading straight for the Illusion Pokemon's path. Everyone who was watching the two was on the edge of their Seats, expecting Glalie to claim victory.

However, N was expecting something like this. He gazed up at his Partner and relayed his next orders. "Zoroark, dodge Glalie's Attack to the right and strike him!" The former King of Team Plasma ordered.

Zoroark smirks, dodging the Ice-type's Attack by a few centimeters before propelling his Claws right into Glalie's side.

"GLALIE!" The Ice-type cried out, feeling the Illusion Pokemon Attacking him on the side.

Zoroark continued to strike him before leaping on his Body and stuck Glalie on the Head. This caused the Face Pokemon to plummet to the ground with great speed.

Glalie then crashes into the Battlefield, shattering the frozen ground and being cleared of them.

Zoroark landed in front of his Friend, huffing heavily after that stunt. Both he and N waited for the dust to be cleared to see the results of their efforts,

After a few moments of waiting, the dust soon settled, revealing Glalie down on the Battlefield. His entire Body created a small crater from the moment Zoroark slammed him down into the ground.

Blanche raises her Hand towards the green-haired Ability User. "Glalie is unable to Battle, the victor is Zoroark and N Potter!" The Chairwoman of the Hoenn League announced,

N looks at his Friend, smiling at him at a well hard earn victory. "Zoroark, well done." He smiles, feeling proud of the Dark-type Pokemon.

Zoroark smiles back at his Partner before hearing the applause of the Gym Leaders and the rest of the Elite Four. This includes the Hoenn Champion congratulating the former King of Team Plasma's victory.

In the Locker Room, Helena cheered for her Brother's accomplishment against Glacia. She then stops her celebrating when Gardevoir gets her attention and motions to the other Competitors who are looking at her.

Helena blinked before clearing her throat and smiled at the rest of the Gym Leader Candidates. "A-Ahem…sorry about that everyone." She smiled, apologizing for her outburst.

Everyone in the Locker Room didn't mind that Helena was cheering for her Brother. Anyone would do the same if they were in her Position.

"Gardevoir," The Embrace Pokemon smiles at her Partner only for the Doors to be open by one of the League Staff Members entering the Room.

"Helena Potter," The Pokemon League Staff Member called for the young Professor. The black-haired Woman turned and faced him with her Partner before continuing. "You're up next on the Battlefield." He informed Helena.

Helena nodded, turning to her Partner as she took out her Pokeball. "Alright Gardevoir, it's our turn to participate in the Evaluation Battle." She spoke to her First Pokemon,

The Embrace Pokemon nodded, ready to Battle against the one they were facing. "Gardevoir," The Duel-type Pokemon said,

After calling back Gardevoir into her Pokeball before following the Pokemon League Staff Member towards the Battlefield.

While walking to the Battlefield, Helena saw her Brother making his way back to the Locker room. She smiles, walking a bit faster to meet with the green-haired Man to congratulate him personally.

"N, you were great out there. Both you and Zoroark did an amazing job showing your Bond and trust in one another to everyone." Helena smiles, feeling proud of her Older Brother,

N smiles, appreciating the kind Words that his Sister said to him and his Friend. "Thank you, Helena. Though that wasn't our best in terms of Strategy." He admits to his Sister, seeing how his Strategy fell apart midway through their Battle.

"Hey, sometimes when you have a plan in mind it can sometimes go out of Hand," Helena said to her Brother, chuckling to herself, having a little flashback from the Past.

The green-haired Ability User heard his Sister's chuckling causing him to be curious. "Sister, what's making you laugh?" N asked,

Helena raises her Hand up, waving her Fingers as an apologetic gesture. "Sorry, sorry, I just remembered how you planned out everything when you were leading Team Plasma." The black-haired Woman said, "Only for Hilda and the rest of us to mess it up."

N couldn't help but laugh at the old Memory, "How could I forget, you two were adamant about stopping me from Team Plasma's goals." The former King commented before sighing. "Regardless of whether my goals were misguided or not, I'm still thankful that you all managed to stop me and showed me a new way of things." He said to her.

Helena smiled before someone approached them from behind N. "Oh? I was expecting for Professor Potter to be coming down this Hall, but I wasn't expecting for you two to meet." A young Woman's voice spoke, "But considering that you Two are Siblings then it makes sense you want to meet."

The Three Adults turn around, seeing a tanned Woman who is a bit younger than Helena. She has short dark grey hair, Two large pink Flowers attached to her Head. She wore a blue Summer Dress with a white floral Design and a Pokeball symbol on the side.

"Hello everyone, I see you are all doing well." The Woman greeted her fellow Pokemon trainers. "Exciting Day is it not?"

"Lady Phoebe, what are you doing here?" The Pokemon League Staff asked the Ghost-type trainer before them.

Helena was surprised to see the Elite Four Member appear before them. She didn't hear any footsteps coming from behind them.

The black-haired Woman then looks at her Brother, who is also surprised by her appearing just like a Ghost. She mentally laughed to herself, realizing that Phoebe was a Ghost-type Pokemon trainer.

The dark-grey haired Woman smiles in response to the Staff Member's question. "I just wanted to meet my Opponent for today's Evaluation Battle before we head out to the Battlefield." Phoebe then shifted her Head to Helena and approached her.

Pheobe held her Hands behind her Back as she spoke to the young Professor. "I heard so much about you from Steven, Ellie." She smiles at the black-haired Woman. "He's always talking about how smart and resilient you are,"

Helena blushed at how Steven would causally speak the World about her to his Colleagues. "(Steven, you big oaf)." She sighs, still loving the Steel-blue haired Man. "Anyways, you're going to be my Opponent for this Battle, Phoebe?" She asked, moving on from the previous conversation.

"Oh yes, since you listed yourself as using a Fairy-type Pokemon in your profile. It's pretty obvious that the Chairwoman wants to pair me with you," Phoebe said with a smile towards Helena.

"Ah, that makes sense. You use Ghost-type Pokemon and pairing you with me makes it a bit challenging." Helena commented before holding her Hand towards her as a friendly gesture. She then smiles, wanting to make a proper impression with the Ghost-type trainer. "I'm looking forward to Battling you, Phoebe."

Phoebe returned the gesture that Helena made. She shook her Hand in return, "I am too, let's do our best out there, Ellie." The Ghost-type trainer said, wishing both of them luck.

After a few minutes had passed, the next Match of the Day was soon. "This is the last Match of the is Helena's Evaluation Battle," Drake commented, reading the list of the Battles they had written up.

"So it's Ellie's turn." Brawly smiles, excited to see his Friend's Match.

"Ellie got this in the bag, I have confidence that she'll show us what she's made of," Flannery commented, gazing over to Roxanne sitting next to her. "Say, Roxy didn't you say that Helena has experience Battling a trainer as a Gym Leader?"

The brunette Woman nodded, confirming what the Fire-type Gym Leader said. "Yes, she Battle Brendan and gave him a Stone Badge," Roxanne commented before Wallace spoke,

"Look, there's Ellie now." Wallace pointed to the Challenger side of the Arena, where Helena was making her way to her side of the Battlefield.

Soon Phoebe appeared on the other end of the Battlefield, about to start the Evaluation Battle.

Steven sat up, looking over to his Fiancée taking out her Partner's Pokeball ready to toss it onto the Battlefield. "Good luck Ellie, you got this."' The Hoenn Champion said, knowing Helena was stronger than she thought.
