Vision was thrown into the cold waters below, back to the ocean he'd been flying over when he was originally summoned by the Watcher, only to lose so easily against Godeku.
It was illogical to send who they had, meaning one of two things.
One, that they were not the right people for the job. Or two, that they were the only ones left to do it. If Godeku was as dangerous as Warcher had said, it wasn't unlikely to think more capable versions of themselves had been destroyed before
"If I have to die, I would like to do so while helping others." Vision decided as he began to float upwards through the salty ocean water.
It took a moment to properly connect his internal GPS to a signal, beginning his flight back to Japan as he began to power up a bit, the stone in his forehead warming his entire body.
As he connected to the internet, he began to listen for the closest crimes, stopping a robbery since, for some strange reason, all the heroes seemed to be preoccupied.
"Stand down." He spoke calmly, letting the robber see him as he approached, a gun aimed at Visions head.
"Who the hell do ya think you are, giving out orders!?" The robber, a man with long brown hair wearing a domino mask asked, Vision looking at him for a moment before using a beam from his sun stone to cut through the gun, careful to avoid the bullets inside.
"You don't watch the news, do you? I am Vision." He told him, floating forward and grabbing the man, who struggled, but Vision simply became intangible with the man in his hands, deactivating the ability once he had the man pinned to the door by his clothes, which had become merged with the wood.
"Let me outta this man!" The robber yelled, Vision looking at the shop owner who was watching everything.
"Are you unharmed?" Vision asked, the owner looking disturbed by his look.
"Git out, you devil machine!" He yelled with a thick rural accent, standing in front of two small children, a boy with short blonde hair and eyes that were disturbingly blue, and a girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes that while blue, were not as disturbingly so as the boy beside her.
"I apologize if I scared you, any of you." He told them softly, remembering the truth of it all. He wasn't human, made by a hero killer, had held a press conference where his old body had burnt up on live television. It made sense that people were afraid of him now.
Becoming intangible, he walked through the wall before flying off as he picked up a police radio.
"-SJ! We need backup, Doom is back, and he's making short work of the heroes we have here!" A voice came over the signal, Vision flying off as top speed, hoping to stop his creator. Maybe if he did, he'd be seen as more than a tool of evil. Or even if he lost, he would die and be seen as a symbol of rebellion.
It was selfish to want to be seen as that, knowing the life he had lived as Izuku Midoriya was impossible to achieve now. It was maddening, knowing who he had been wasn't who he could be.
"Vision, turn yourself in, or we will be forced to shoot!" A police officer yelled, bullets flying, some bouncing off his skin, before Vision could even respond to their orders.
"I am going to battle Doom." Vision told them, before flying away, energy building up before as suddenly as he'd been summoned the first time, he was called once again to battle.
