Chapter 5: Meet Rexa
Nighttime
(It starts in the park where Night Ninja is making a new splat in a pot with four Ninjalinos throwing different types of rocks into it which Night Ninja is happy about as he laughs about it.)
"At long last, with the new splat, we can defeat the PJ Masks once and for all, and it's almost finished, just one more ingredient." (holds up a small asteroid piece with a red glow in his hand as the Ninjalinos ooh'd from seeing it.) "That's right, Ninjalinos. I was able to get a piece of an asteroid from space without starboy noticing, but I can't add it yet," (makes the Ninjalinos confused about it.) "The solid splat will become fully solid if I add the asteroid piece too soon, but once I add it to this splat after we put it on those PJ pests, we will..." (gets interrupted from a dark green ball rolling by knocking him and the Ninjalinos off their feet along with knocking the pot of solid splat mixture over, spilling it, making Night Ninja panic as the splat mixture hardened from spilling onto the ground and pushed the pot back into place to save what is left in it only to see it was almost empty.) "my solid splat! Whoever that was, I'm gonna... hey, where's the rock!?" (looks at the other side of the solidified splat to see the asteroid piece there and was about to get it until the dark green ball rolled over and stopped near it.) "I don't know who you are, but I won't let you..." (tries to walk over the solidified splat only to jump back from getting zapped by red electricity from it and hops in pain from it.) "Ow! The scroll didn't say anything about that!" Night Ninja said
(just then, the dark green ball unrolled revealing to be a new nighttime hero in a dino pajama full of stuffing in the body area with a full head mask shaped like a T-rex head that only shows the eyes which shocked Night Ninja as the new hero grabbed the asteroid piece and rolled away, the Ninjalinos were surprised by what just happened as Night Ninja is mad about the new hero taking the last ingredient he needed for his new splat.)
Daytime
(Amaya was in the park looking over the drawings she put down on the Owlarion powers she is learning as Connor and Greg were next to her on both sides looking at the pages of her notebook.)
"These powers I obtained from the past few nights, they're incredible." Amaya said
"Who knew you could use our powers as well." Connor said
"Yeah, with that kind of ability, we can..." (jumps back a bit from something zapping his foot.) "Ow!" Greg shouted
"Whoa," (sees a huge flat rock in the shape of a landed splat.) "Looks like Night Ninja is up to something." Amaya said
"If he is, something must've gone wrong for it to be so zappy." Greg said
"And he's not gonna stop until he makes it perfect." Connor said
"Looks like we got a nighttime villain to stop, PJ Masks, we're on our way..." Amaya started (holds her fist out.)
(bumps each other's fists together.) Into the night, to save the day!" Amaya, Connor and Greg said
Nighttime
(Night has come and Owlette is in the Owl-Glider flying above the city with Armadylan and Newton Star while Catboy and Gekko take the Cat-Car on the road, both groups then went in different directions to find Night Ninja.)
"Okay guys, wherever Night Ninja is, we'll be there to stop him." Owlette said
"How are we suppose to find him when he's able to disappear so fast?" Newton Star asked
"You mean like what that thing is doing?" (gets Owlette and Newton's attention to see a dark green ball rolling around town like him, but without causing damage to anything in the city which made him a bit jealous.) "Show-off." Armadylan said
"Hang on!" (turns the Owl-Glider to follow the dark green ball causing Newton and Armadylan to hang on tight. Once close to where the dark green ball is, Owlette lands the Owl-Glider in the way causing the dark green ball to unroll in panic revealing to be the new nighttime hero and flop onto their back, unable to get back up from the poofness in the pajama.) "Oops," (opens the cockpit and jumps out to help the new hero back up onto their feet.) "Sorry about that, we didn't mean to scare you." Owlette said
(flies out of the Owl-Glider and lands next to the new hero as Armadylan tries to climb out the best he could.) "Interesting, I've never seen this kid before, wonder what his..." (gets elbowed in the arm by the new hero.) "her... wonder what her powers are." Newton Star said
"We know she can roll around like me," (loses his grip and falls onto the ground, causing Owlette, Newton and the new hero to flinch from it, then stood up, dusting himself off.) "Maybe she has super strength like me and Gekko." Armadylan said
(Inspects the new hero's pajamas on her design.) "Well, she's dressed like a T-rex, she probably has shield and ground thumping powers as well." Owlette said
"Let's put it to the test!" (turns away from the three and leans backwards causing Owlette and Newton to try and convince him not to in panic as the new hero caught him, while struggling.) "See?" (but spoke too soon when the new hero lost her footing and fell to the ground with Armadylan falling on top of her, then stood back up in embarrassment about it.) "Oops, sorry." Armadylan said
(helps the new hero back up onto her feet.) "It looks like she hasn't gotten them to activate yet." Newton Star said
"She can't activate her powers because she can't say them, she doesn't want to reveal who she is." Owlette said (places a hand on the new hero's shoulder who agrees to it.)
"I wondered why she didn't say anything." Armadylan said (feels his foot get stomped by Owlette and hops in pain.)
"Even new heroes deserve respect, you were a new hero before the first time we let you into HQ." Owlette said
"Yeah, I never liked fighting nighttime villains from the first night I met Night Ninja, but after stopping him for the first time, I was able to do it." Newton Star said
"Oh yeah, guess I forgot about each of us having a hero start-up." Armadylan said
"That reminds me," (turns to the new hero) "do you have a name?" (sees the new hero shaking her head no) "you don't have one?" Owlette asked
(jumps in excitement, shaking the ground making Owlette, Newton and the new hero stumble from it) "Then let's give her one!" (stops jumping and ponders while Owlette and Newton caught the new hero before she could fall) "how about... Tyranostompa!" (stomps his feet in example only to receive a negative shake from the new hero) "aw." Armadylan said
"Maybe Tysaratona?" Newton Star asked (places a hand on the new hero's shoulder while suggesting it only for the new hero to reject it.)
"Roaralina?" (lets out a roar, startling the new hero, making her jump into Newton's arms in fright and immediately regret doing it.) "I'll take that as a no." Armadylan said
"Tyrena-Rex?" Newton Star asked (carefully puts the new hero down onto her feet as she shook her head no from the name.)
"How about... Rexa!" (gets an excited nod from the new hero, liking the name a lot.) "Then it's official, welcome to the team, Rexa." Owlette said (holds her hand out for Rexa to shake it only for Rexa to hug her by surprise.)
"Wow, she's more excitable than me." Armadylan said
"Seems she really likes the name." Newton Star said
"Yeah, and a new hero like Rexa means more exciting adventures. Hey Rexa, have you ever been in a PJ vehicle?" Owlette asked (gestures to the Owl-Glider which made Rexa curious about it.)
(Meanwhile with Catboy and Gekko, they were looking around at the school with the Cat-Car parked outside but they were unable to find Night Ninja and were about to drive back to HQ until they heard Owlette contacting them and answered.)
"Hey Owlette, no sign of Night Ninja or any of his splats at the school, how's it going on your side?" Catboy asked
"We didn't find Night Ninja, but we did find a new hero." Owlette said
"A new hero?" Gekko asked (jumps in fright from the Owl-Glider landing roughly near the Cat-Car.)
(opens the cockpit for her and Newton to fly out as Armadylan fell out.) "Sorry about that guys, it was our new friend, Rexa's first time in a PJ vehicle, she's a hero like us." Owlette said (gestures toward the cockpit of the Owl-Glider for Catboy and Gekko to jump onto the wing and look in to see who Rexa is, but couldn't find her.)
"Where is she?" Catboy asked
(flies over to see Rexa wasn't in the Owl-Glider.) "What? But she was in her with us, how... oh yeah," (climbs back into the Owl-Glider, walks to the back of the cockpit and pushes a button for a fourth seat to pop out sending Rexa off and against the back of the driver seat of the Owl-Glider which surprised Catboy and Gekko as Owlette helped Rexa back onto her feet.) "Catboy, Gekko, this is Rexa. Rexa, this is Catboy and Gekko." (introduces Rexa to Catboy and Gekko as she waves at them, nervously.) "It's her second night." Owlette said
"Hey, any hero is a friend of the PJ Masks, we can always use help on finding Night Ninja." (jumps a bit from seeing Rexa jump up onto her feet doing some acting to try and tell them about something.) "What's she doing?" Catboy asked
"I think she's trying to tell us what Night Ninja is up to." Gekko said (gets surprised by Rexa hugging him and Catboy.)
"You know what Night Ninja is up to?" (gets Rexa's attention who lets Catboy and Gekko go and begins doing some signs of what Night Ninja is doing by starting with pretending to throw sticky splats.) "Sticky splats? Night Ninja was making some sticky splats?" (Rexa nodded to her answer as she then moved her hands together in a circle like she's stirring something.) "a new type of splat? What kind?" (sees Rexa open one of the pockets on her pajamas for a red glow to shine out and pull it out to reveal the asteroid piece and gasped from what she saw.) "Newton!" Owlette shouted
(flies over to see the asteroid piece and recognizes it.) "That's Ajax's glow!" Newton Star shouted
"And Rexa stopped Night Ninja before he could use it." Owlette said
(climbs up from hearing them.) "What was Night Ninja gonna use the new splat for?" Armadylan asked
"Whatever the new splat is, we have to stop Night Ninja." Catboy said (gets knocked to the ground by a sticky splat, surprising the others and gets stuck in a splat ball.)
"Night Ninja's here! We..." (gets interrupted from a sticky splat hitting him from behind and gets stuck in a splat ball as well.) "Hey!" Gekko shouted
"Don't worry, guys! I'm coming!" Armadylan shouted (jumps down from the Owl-Glider to help Catboy and Gekko only to get hit back some sticky splats and stuck in a splat ball bigger then Catboy and Gekko's.)
"Alright, Night Ninja! Come out and..." (gets interrupted from a sticky splat hitting her cape, causing her to lose her flight and fall to the ground.) "oh no!" Owlette said
(turns to Rexa about the situation.) "Night Ninja's not messing around, this is bad." (gets knocked off the Owl-Glider by a sticky splat which scared Rexa, causing her to fall backwards onto her back in the Owl-Glider and dropping the piece of Ajax, as he got stuck in a splat ball.) "oh boy." Newton Star said
(appears out of nowhere from a puff of smoke with four Ninjalinos jumping over to look for something.) "That's right! It's me, and I'm here for what the new hero took from me!" (hears the Ninjalinos laughing and turns to see them looking in the Owl-Glider.) "Hey! What are you Ninjalinos..." (jumps over to scold them only to see Rexa on her back, struggling to get up and laughs from seeing it happen.) "What's wrong, can't get back up?" Night Ninja asked
"Leave her alone! Rexa is a friend of ours!" Owlette said
"Rexa? Interesting name, but it seems she's unable to get back up." (turns to one of the Ninjalinos who jumped in excitement and towards something in the Owl-Glider.) "What did you find?" (climbs in to follow the Ninjalino to see what it is only for the Ninjalino to hold it over, revealing the piece of Ajax which made him happy.) "Yes! The last ingredient for my new splat!" Night Ninja shouted
"Give that back! It's not yours!" Newton Star shouted
"Ninjalinos!" (snaps his fingers for the Ninjalinos to jump into action, one of them rolled Catboy, Gekko and Newton over to the Owl-Glider while the fourth one dragged Rexa out of the Owl-Glider and onto the ground, when the first three got Catboy, Gekko and Newton into the Owl-Glider, all four Ninjalinos ran over to Armadylan and started to roll him over only to hear a snap from their leader.) "Leave the anteater." Night Ninja said
"Armadillo!" Armadylan shouted
"Whatever, back to the park, Ninjalinos! It's time to finish the splat!" Night Ninja shouted
(The Ninjalinos jumped into the Owl-Glider for Night Ninja to close the cockpit and fly away, causing Owlette, Armadylan and Rexa to brace themselves from the breeze. After the ninjas flew away, Armadylan began to struggle to break the splat ball around him but to no avail.)
"I'm gonna get Night Ninja for this!" Armadylan said
"We have to get the sticky splats off first," (reaches behind her back to try and get the splat off her cape, but couldn't reach.) "I can't reach it. Rexa, can you..." (turns to Rexa for help only to see Rexa has her face covered in her arms and knees.) "Rexa?" Owlette asked
"Hey, is she okay?" Armadylan asked
(walks over to Rexa and places a hand on Rexa's shoulder.) "I know what it's like to make a mistake, it happens to everyone, even when it's our first time as a hero, Carly." Owlette said
(looks to Owlette in shock as Armadylan was surprised.) "H-how did you..." Rexa didn't get to ask
"I knew you would be the one with dino powers from the night all ten PJ animals came out to help me against the Lunar Knight." Owlette said
"Carly, one of the Speedy Twins? How can she..." Armadylan didn't get to ask
"Everyone has good inside of them, I was able to tell because of the new power I got, aura sense." Owlette said
"Whoa." Armadylan said
"Carly, I know you didn't mean to let Night Ninja get away, but we make up for our mistakes, it's what makes us heroes." Owlette said
(ponders it a bit and stands up, pulling on the splat on Owlette's cape, pulling it off for Owlette to use her powers again, runs over to Armadylan to free him from the splat ball, but was struggling until...) "Super Dino Strength!" (and breaks the splat ball, freeing Armadylan and leads the two to where Night Ninja is at.) "Time to be a hero!" Rexa shouted
(at the park where the ninjas were last night, Night Ninja was stirring the pot of new splat mixture as the Ninjalinos were tossing different types of rocks into it while Catboy, Gekko and Newton were struggling in the splat balls they're stuck in.)
"You're not gonna get away with this, Night Ninja." Catboy said
"Why it's about to start, the splat is almost ready." Night Ninja said
"What kind of splat are you even making?" Gekko asked
"I'm glad you asked, you see, this type of splat was first invented by the one known as the Sorcerer." Night Ninja said
"The Sorcerer!?" Catboy asked in fright
"I don't like the sound of that." Newton Star said
"And now you shall witness me recreating it. Solid splat!" Night Ninja shouted
"That explains why the splat we found in the park was gray. But why is it called solid splat?" Gekko asked
(Night Ninja then grabbed a piece of splat and held the piece of Ajax close to it, after that, the splat glowed red which made Night Ninja laugh maniacally about as Catboy, Gekko and Newton were nervous about what they were seeing. Night Ninja then turned and threw the glowing splat at Gekko, making him scream only to be cut off when the splat hit him, but after that, Gekko was petrified in stone which frightened Catboy and Newton from what happened while Night Ninja laughed from his triumph as the Ninjalinos were amazed by it.)
"Yes! The solid splat is perfected! With this, I will finally defeat the..." (Before he could finish his sentence, he noticed three rolling balls heading towards him and realized the balls were Owlette, Armadylan and Rexa rolling towards him.) "Uh oh." Night Ninja said
(By surprise, Owlette, Armadylan and Rexa rolled into Night Ninja and the Ninjalinos, knocking them over as the pot of splat mixture was about to fall over only for Night Ninja to catch it on time and put it back into place as Owlette, Armadyan and Rexa rolled behind Night Ninja and untucked onto their feet.)
"Give it up, Night Ninja. Your plan is over." Owlette said
"Why it's just beginning!" Night Ninja said (grabs another piece of splat while holding the piece of Ajax close to it, then throws it at Owlette.)
"Look out!" Armadylan shouted (reaches his hand in front of Owlette to grab the splat, only to be petrified in stone, frightening Owlette and Rexa.)
"At least we know what the new splat is!" Owlette said
(Owlette and Rexa then began to run around Night Ninja as he began to throw asteroid powered splats at the two, trying to turn them into stone in which they were able to grab Catboy and Newton and ran out of Night Ninja's range.)
"They may have gotten away, but at least we got two of them." Night Ninja said
(Night Ninja held the piece of Ajax in his hand triumphantly as the Ninjalinos cheered for their victory. Outside the park, the group were hiding behind a car with Catboy and Newton now free from the splat balls they were trapped in.)
"Night Ninja's gone too far this time." Catboy said
"Romeo, Luna Girl and Pharaoh Boy were bad enough when they used asteroid power, but what Night Ninja is doing is really bad." Newton Star said
"There has to be a way we can get the piece away from Night Ninja, but how?" (starts to ponder without knowing Rexa is looking at the glow in the park where the ninjas are and ran out from behind the car to stop the ninjas as she noticed her heading off and panicked.) "Rexa, wait! Come back!" Owlette shouted
(Rexa didn't listen as she kept going with Owlette, Catboy and Newton starting to chase after her. Meanwhile with the ninjas, the Ninjalinos were messing around with the petrified Gekko and Armadylan as they had dressed them up silly and drawn on them while Night Ninja was looking over his splat mixture.)
"This splat mixture is really strong, and with the power of Ajax, I can use it to stop the PJ Masks once and for all!" Night Ninja shouted
"Not on my watch." (walks towards Night Ninja from behind the petrified Armadylan which scared the Ninjalinos, causing them to run away.) "It's time I finish the mission I started." Rexa said
"So, you're able to talk, but talking won't stop me from turning you and the others into stone!" Night Ninja shouted
(Night Ninja then taped the piece of Ajax against his chest and started grabbing balls of splat from the pot and at Rexa as they glowed only for Rexa to roll out of the way and dodge them, Owlette, Catboy and Newton enter the scene and saw Rexa handling herself well until she began to roll like a ball and spin around Night Ninja, making him dizzy until he fell and drop the piece of Ajax, the piece rolled down the hill and into Owlette's hand as Rexa grabbed the pot of splat mixture and poured it all out onto the ground for it to slide down the hill a bit before it hardened, Night Ninja saw this and yelled in frustration.)
"Look at what you've done dino girl! My greatest plan, ruined! But it doesn't matter, lizard legs and anteater boy are still trapped in stone, and the scroll doesn't say how to free them." (gets a stern look from Rexa and holds his hands up in defense.) "It's the truth!" Night Ninja said
"There has to be a way to..." (notices the piece of Ajax glowing in her hand.) "Newton, is something like this suppose to happen?" Owlette asked
"The asteroids have never done that before, wonder why..." (backs up from the piece glowing brighter.) Whoa!" Newton Star shouted
"What are you doing, bird brain!?" Night Ninja asked in fright
(Owlette tried to drop the piece, but it was stuck on her hand. She kept trying until Ajax flew in out of nowhere and floated around Owlette, startling her. Newton was shocked from what's happening as the others were frightened from what was happening until Nova flew in and floated around Owlette with Velo, Zihamba and Kino following along.)
"Whoa! Newton, what's happening!?" Catboy asked in fright
"I don't know! This is new to me as well!" Newton Star shouted
"Whatever they're doing, it's making me nervous!" (tries to move only to step back a bit from the five asteroids floating around her in a circle until she looked up and saw Lumino floating above her.) "Whoa!" Owlette shouted
"Do not be afraid, princess." A voice said
(becomes shocked from hearing a voice and looks up at Lumino above her.) "What?" Owlette asked
"We felt your energy from above and came to your aid." Lumino said
"But, how..." Owlette didn't get to ask
"We can feel others' energy when they have a piece of an asteroid." Velo said
"And when you held a piece of me, we felt something off." Ajax said
"The energy we felt from you, we thought they were all wiped out." Nova said
"But when we did, we had to see it for ourselves." Zihamba said
"And now we know they are still around." Kino said
"They?" Owlette asked
"Yes, we thought they were all extinct, but after feeling your energy, we now know the Owlarions are still thriving, but hidden." Lumino said
"Hidden?" (notices a small gap on Ajax and places the piece of him back into the spot for Ajax to become whole again.) "So, do you guys know how to fix the problem we're in?" Owlette asked
(Without warning, the asteroids began to spin around Owlette, faster with Lumino joining. Owlette was gonna fly out of the circle, a small beam shot out from each asteroid and into Owlette, making her scream in pain as the others stepped back from what's happening. After a few seconds, the asteroids stopped as Owlette fell to her knees making her friends worried as Night Ninja laughed about it.)
"Your asteroids must've drained bird brain of her powers! Or she probably couldn't handle the power they were giving her!" Night Ninja said
(But as Night Ninja started to laugh, a huge beam shot out from each asteroid and into Owlette, causing her to look up into the sky as a white glow came out from her eyes with the others getting knocked back from the sudden burst. Once the beams went down, Owlette floated in place with her eyes and mouth closed as Catboy, Newton and Rexa were worried about her, but when Night Ninja took out a sticky splat. Owlette opened her eyes revealing them to be changing between the six colors of the asteroids, causing Night Ninja to drop the sticky splat in panic as the Ninjalinos ran away in fright. Owlette then began to float into the air without using her owl powers and raised her arms for red electricity to surge out of all the solid splat that were used until the solid splat turned to ordinary sticky splat with Gekko and Armadylan being freed from their petrified states, confused about what's happening until they became frightened from seeing Owlette up in the air with the asteroids spinning around her. After all the electricity was taken out of the splats, Owlette slowly descended back to the ground with small beams shooting out of her and back into the asteroids until she was back to her normal self.)
(holds her head in pain while standing up.) "What happened?" Owlette asked (looks up to see the asteroids floating above her until they flew back into space.)
"Whoa, I didn't think that would happen." Catboy said
"How did they even know about your kind?" Newton Star asked
"I'm not sure." Owlette said
"I don't know what's happening! But I'm out of here! Wait for me, Ninjalinos!" Night Ninja shouted (flees from the heroes to catch up to his Ninjalinos.)
(shakes his hand to get the splat off until it flies off and onto the ground, almost hitting Catboy's foot.) "What you did there was beyond awesome!" Armadylan shouted (picks the splat ball Gekko is trapped in and breaks it, freeing Gekko.)
"How'd you do that with Newton's asteroids?" Gekko asked
"I don't know, but they even talked to me." Owlette said
"They did?" Newton Star asked
"What did they say?" Catboy asked
"They said I'm not the only Owlarion." Owlette said
"I'm not sure who else is like you, but I'm just glad we don't have to face Night Ninja with that kind of splat again." Armadylan said
"And we did it with the help of our new friend." (turns to Rexa and happily waves to her as Rexa waved back and rolled away.) "PJ Masks, all shout hooray..." Owlette started
"Cause in the night we saved the day!" the PJ Masks shouted
(Meanwhile in another part of the city, Rexa was rolling through the streets until she unrolled near the Flashcar, she looked around to see if anyone is looking and then went behind some trash cans for a light green glow to appear for a second until Carly walked out from behind the trash cans, holding a pair of light green pajamas with a pattern of decals on the pants that look like the head of a t-rex. She went to the Flashcar and opened the cockpit to put the pajamas in the driver's seat, then climbed in while letting out a sigh of relief until she jumped a bit from hearing the trash cans get knocked over and saw Cartoka walking over from almost falling over the trash cans while holding a car part in his hands.)
"Sorry about that, had to lose one of those heroes" Cartoka said
"It's okay, as long as we get the Flashcar geared up, we'll be ready for when we race them." Carly said
"Got that right, just let me get this installed and we can go." Cartoka said
(As Cartoka started installing the car part, Carly looked down at her pajamas thinking back about Owlette knowing who she was and how she could help the heroes without Cartoka finding out about it. After hearing Cartoka stop installing the piece, she pretended to smile as Cartoka jumped into the Flashcar to work on the controls behind her. as she started driving the Flashcar through town, she started to feel bad for what she and her brother have been doing since they first came to Earth.)
