Chapter Seven: Fuli's Faith Restored

Another day had passed in the Pride Lands, and inside the Lion Guard's lair, the team gathered with concern etched on their faces. It was usually time for Fuli to return from her hunting, but there was still no sign of her.

Kion: "Fuli should be back by now." He said, pacing with worry.

Bunga: "It shouldn't take her this long to go hunting, right?" He crossed his arms, frowning.

Just then, Fuli walked in, her shoulders slumped, looking exhausted and disheartened.

Ono: "Fuli, you look terrible. Have you even slept?" He immediately noticed her state.

Beshte: "And did you still go hunting?" Beshte asked, his voice full of concern.

Fuli: "Actually, I didn't go hunting at all. I haven't slept either. I'm just… too sad to hunt or sleep."Fuli shook her head slowly.

Bunga: "But Fuli, if you don't hunt, you're going to get really hungry later." His eyes widened.

Fuli: "Don't you think I know that?! Why can't you understand that I'm losing my best friend?!" Her patience snapped, her voice rising.

Bunga stumbled back, startled by her outburst. Realizing what she had done, Fuli's expression softened with regret.

Fuli: *sighs deeply* "I'm sorry, Bunga. It's just… I'm so worried Bongo won't remember us or his family." She sighed, her voice trembling.

She turned away, blinking rapidly to fight back tears, but a soft sob escaped her.

Beshte: "You've just gotta have faith, Fuli. Sometimes, that's all we can hold onto." He stepped forward with his usual kindness.

Ono: "Beshte's right. We all know how much you care about Bongo." He nodded in agreement.

Kion: "We just need to believe that he'll find his way back to us." He placed a paw on her shoulder.

Fuli: *inhales* *exhales* "You're right… thank you, guys." She took a deep breath, her heart slowly steadying.

Kion: "Hakuna Matata." He smiled.

Bunga: "Now, why don't you go on a hunt? We don't want you to starve yourself." He added with a playful grin.

Fuli managed a small smile.

Fuli: "Alright, I will." She nodded gratefully before heading out of the lair.

As they watched her leave, Kion, Bunga, Ono, and Beshte shared relieved smiles, happy to see that Fuli's faith had been restored.

Out in the savannah, Fuli's spirits slowly began to lift as she focused on the hunt. She spotted a herd of gazelles grazing nearby and crouched low in the tall grass. With a sudden burst of energy, she sprinted after them, her speed unmatched. In no time, she caught one, and as she panted to catch her breath, she felt a sense of accomplishment.

Fuli: "Bunga was right, I feel much better now. I never thought I'd be so happy just to go on a hunt." She murmured to herself with a satisfied smile.

But as she stood there, catching her breath, she suddenly heard rustling in the grass behind her.

*RUSTLING*

Smiling to herself, she assumed it was another gazelle.

Fuli: *growls* She growled playfully.

But instead of a gazelle, a small but familiar figure darted out of the grass.

Asha: *baby voice* "Someone help!" She cried out.

Fuli: "Asha?" Her ears perked up, recognizing the voice immediately.

Just then, Asha burst through the tall grass, her small form stumbling as she collided with Fuli, falling onto her back.

Asha: *baby voice* "Oh, my head." She groaned, rubbing her temple.

Fuli: "Asha, what's wrong?" She rushed to her side, her voice filled with concern.

Asha: *baby voice* "It's Bongo! He's being attacked by vultures!" She exclaimed, looking up at Fuli with wide, tear-filled eyes.

Fuli: "Vultures? Okay, Asha, lead the way." Her eyes narrowed in determination.

Without hesitation, Fuli followed Asha as she darted off, racing to save her brother from the threat.
