"Calling all available Restoration forces! This is Amy Rose!"
"We've just confirmed that Infinite is after the Chaos Emeralds! Sonic and Tails are handling another angle at the moment, so we need YOUR help in getting the Emeralds FIRST!"
"We'll provide you with some Emerald radars and locations to help in your search, just report to Jewel or myself for the assignment!"
"It sure is nice of you to accompany us, Mr. Big!" Cream exclaimed as she, Cheese, Gemerl, Froggy, and the man himself wandered through the Music Plant Zone in search of a Chaos Emerald. It had been a bit hard to convince her mother to let her join in on the hunt, but Vanilla ultimately accepted that her daughter was among a very small number of people who COULD do this, so she had relented as long as Gemerl was there to guard her.
"Aw, I'm just happy to help out my friends!" The cat said jovially. He had been an unexpected addition to this journey, having just encountered each other along the way, but his presence was always a delight for the young rabbit. "Still though, You'd think a place like this would have some better songs!"
"Yes, I suppose it DOES sound slightly out of tune today, but I'm sure they're doing their best!" Cream replied, checking the Emerald radar. "I wonder if that music is what's messing up this gizmo, though..."
Big sniffed the air. "Hey, I think there's something stuck up in this pipe!" Reaching in, he pulled out a very dazed Pocky. "Oh, poor little guy! He must've accidentally fallen in!" Cream exclaimed. "Chao Chao!" Cheese added.
"Analysis suggests that removal of creature from pipe has improved music quality. Conjecture indicates that more than one of these creatures are stuck in these pipes." Gemerl stated. "Scanning for other life forms."
And so, following Gemerl's directions and Big's nose, the group went about checking off-sounding pipes, and freeing Rickys, Pickys, Peckys, and all sorts of other creatures from instruments across the zone. They also found a sandwich in a tuba, which Big decided to save for later.
Eventually, the zone sounded like its old self again, and despite their exhaustion, everybody was pleased with the results. "Good job, everyone! I just wish I knew what caused all of those animals to get stuck in the first place!"
"Perhaps they were attracted to what brought US here." Gemerl observed, motioning to the Emerald Radar in Cream's hands. "Oh, of course! The Chaos Emerald! I nearly forgot all about it!" Cream shouted, flying up to the area the radar indicated. She grabbed the Emerald and held it firmly. "No more trouble from YOU!" The young rabbit said, almost chidingly.
She just hoped Miss Amy was having the same success in her mission...
