Josh and Gabi had broken up in couples therapy. He told her he was going to continue to go to therapy on his own to work on his commitment issues.
"That's great" she said encourangily, hopeful that he would figure out his issues and get back to her quickly because it was killing her inside.
He told her that his first assignment was to make amends with all of his exes, to clear the slate of his past so that he could move forward.
"That's a terrible idea!" she said, objecting.
"Excuse me?" he said, taken aback by her reaction to him trying to better himself, for her no less.
"Trust me, no one wants to relive a break-up. Also you cant seem to see Caroline without tripping and falling into her vagina" she said, annoyed.
"Must be nice to have that effect on you by the way, just another reason to hate her" she said testily.
"Gabi, I get it, your sarcasm is coming from a place of hurt and rejection" he said in therapy speak
Gabi was immediately annoyed "No it comes from a place of how could you not kiss me after saying you wanted to be with me for over a year, coming to Coachella after me, telling my dad you saw us having a future together then taking me to couples therapy just to break up with me?!"
"You broke up with you!" he insisted.
"You agreed!" she said angrily.
"Oh my God, is this how its going to be between us?" he asked
"Probably" she answered bitterly.
"Then maybe we need space" he suggested.
"Sure, you already put space between us so what's a little more?" she said, untying her apron and tossing it on the counter before storming out.
He blew out a frustrated breath and rubbed his temples.
Elliott was helping to publicize Gabi and Sofia's food truck "Dumped truck" theme, catering to girls who were broken hearted after break ups. He helped boost it on social media and soon it was a sensation.
The Rachel Ray show contacted him about having the girls on the show. Naturally they were ecstatic and readily agreed.
Meanwhile Josh invited his first Ex over. Ella was his girlfriend senior year in high school and he broke up with her just before prom, which of course in high school is about the worst thing you could do.
She acted like she didn't remember Josh or what had happened between them all those years ago.
His ego was a little bruised but on the plus side there was no amends to be made since she didn't remember there was anything to apologize for.
He offered her a drink while they caught up on life after high school.
He woke up the next day and felt someone next to him in bed. In his half asleep state he reached out for her "Gabi, come here" he said reaching out for her to pull her into his arms.
"Who's Gabi?" he heard an unfamiliar voice ask.
His eyes snapped open and he fell backwards out of bed when he saw Ella, in lingerie, in his bed.
He looked around confirming it was his bed, his room.
"What are you doing in my bed?" he asked, panicked.
"Don't you mean our bed honey?" she asked, leaning over to try and kiss him
He put his hand out to block her, noticing a gold ring on his left hand.
"What's this?" he shouted, holding it out.
"We got married last night you silly!"
"No! we cant be married. Oh my God, Gabi" he said covering his face with his hands.
"Who is Gabi?" she asked, annoyed.
"The girl I love! he answered without thinking.
"You didn't even remember me yesterday, how did we end up married? Oh God this cant be happening." He said spiraling.
"Well I guess you'll just have to learn to love me because you vowed to never hurt me again hubby! Now I'm going to take a nice soak in my new tub and let you get used to having a ball and chain, and forget about this Gabi person because I don't ever want to hear that name again" she said squeezing his face, a little roughly to show him she was serious.
"Oh Fuck!" Josh said rubbing his temples, trying to figure out how to fix his life before it was ruined forever.
Gabi came by to pick up her knives for the Rachel Ray show and rub it in Josh's face how well she was doing.
Josh came down the stairs to consult Yolanda and Elliott and ran straight into Gabi.
"Hey! He said, shoving his hand in his pocket to hide the ring. "What are you doing here? I thought you werent going to be here"
"Well since you asked, I came to get my knives because I'm going on the Rachel Ray show" she said excitedly.
"Wow, that's great, congratulations!" he said ushering her over to the door.
"So how's your week? As good as mine?"
"Oh yeah, just amending my ass off, making progress" he said opening the door.
"Ok bye, have fun!" he said closing the door.
"Guys, last night Ella and I got married. Gabi cannot find out, what am I gonna do?"
"What the hella?!" Yolanda asked surprised.
Elliott cackled in delight
"What is it my birthday? First you and Gabi decide to take some space so I get her on Rachel Ray in hopes of her food truck blowing up so she wont come back here then you marry someone else pretty much sealing that deal, hashtag best day ever!" he said skipping away giddily.
"Yolanda you gotta help me, how do I get out of this? I'm terrified Gabi will never speak to me again" he said honestly.
"I know a guy that can make problems go away" she said.
"Like to get it annulled?" he asked.
"Sure. An Annulment, that's another option to consider"
Gabi and Sofia went on Rachel Ray and talked about the food truck and how it came to be.
They said they had both been broken up with, by brothers. When Gabi said her break up was because her boyfriend couldn't commit.
Rachel Ray complimented Gabi on how well she was taking everything, especially with the news coming out just that morning.
"What news?" she asked, confused.
"That Josh Kaminski got married" she told her.
"What are you talking about Rachel Ray?" she asked, frantically.
"It's all over social media, can we get it on the screen?" An Instagram post popped up of Josh in his bed with a girl, the bed she had also recently been in, both wearing wedding rings.
"This cannot be happening" she said, staring devestatedly at the screen.
"I take it you didn't know. I'm sorry Gabi" Rachel Ray said, touching her arm.
"She definitely did not" Sofia said, trying to fill some of the silence.
They cut to commercial break and came back to the girls making one of their dishes but Gabi was a complete mess.
"How could he get married? I mean we were just supposed to be taking some space. He was supposed to be working on his issues to be with me. Apparently he can commit, just not to me!" she said smashing a nut, sending pieces flying and causing Rachel Ray to duck.
Gabi and Sofia came home and Sofia told her she needed to quit, Gabi decided to get it over with and went to Josh's, entering the back door.
As she came in, the front door opened and Ella entered, she ducked under the counter not wanting to face her.
She watched as Josh was stressing out, trying to talk to her. "Ella, I cant do this" he said
"Are you okay honey? You look pale, like you're about to faint. Does your chest feel tight? Does your heart hurt? Like every hope and dream you ever had is dead?"
"Yes, that's totally it" he said, trying to shaking out his hands and trying to control his breathing.
"Now you know how I felt crying alone when you dumped me and took someone else to prom!" she said poking him in the chest.
He stared at her bewildered. "What?!" he asked.
"I got you! I've been waiting 12 years to get my revenge on you Josh Kaminski and now I have it!" she said triumphantly.
"What are you saying?" he asked, still unclear
"We're not really married, I just wanted you to know what it was like for someone to ruin your life. Suck it!" she said, turning to go.
Josh followed her to the door and took a minute to lean up against it, blowing out a breath.
Gabi hopped up on the counter to catch him by surprise.
He took the ring off his finger and tossed it aside before turning to see Gabi. He was startled and jumped slightly at the sight of her.
"Gabi" he said and started walking toward her.
He noticed she had a huge grin on her face and realized she knew.
"Uh how much of that did you hear?" he asked, trying to play it cool.
"Enough to know you're totally a mess without me" she smiled teasingly.
He sighed. "I really am. I thought I screwed it up forever this time. I have been terrified you would never speak to me again with all this. He said swallowing hard.
"I'm really sorry I screwed everything up" he said staring into her eyes.
She stared back then slowly nodded "apology accepted"
He continued to stare at her.
Her smiled faded and she looked at him seriously.
He stepped closer and put his hand behind her neck, lifting her mouth to his as he leaned down into the kiss. The kiss started off soft and sweet but quickly grew passionate as he parted her lips and deepened the kiss. Her hands went to his arms, gripping them to stabalize her on knees that suddenly felt too weak to support her.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her tightly against him as they continued to make out.
They slowly separated, Josh coming back in for several more soft kisses.
Her gaze met his, his eyes full of want.
Josh scanned her face, trying to get a read on her.
Her eyes went back to his lips and she moved in this time, kissing him with everything she had. She ran her hands under his shirt, caressing the skin on this toned abs before moving to his back, holding him just above his waist line.
"Do you want to go upstairs?" he whispered huskily.
She nodded, keeping her eyes locked on his.
He took her hand and led her up to his room, closing the door behind them.
She took her jacket off, dropping it onto the bench before returning to him to recapture his mouth.
He reached for the button of her jeans, causing her breath to hitch. He smiled against her lips, taking pleasure in catching her off guard.
She quickly recovered and unbuttoned his shirt and pushed it off his shoulders before running her hands all over his muscular frame, following up with her mouth.
He pulled her shirt up and off, tossing it aside as she wiggled out of her jeans, leaving her standing in her lacy bra and panties.
Josh's eyes roamed over her whole body appreciatively "So beautiful" he said, his voice low, before resuming kissing her hungrily, while she undid his belt and worked his jeans off his hips.
He moved her backward, lowering her ever so gently onto the bed beneath him.
They took their time, kissing, touching each other all over.
Josh inhaled the scent of coconut on her body, in her hair, as he drove himself deeply into her. He closed his eyes to memorize the feel of her unbelievably soft skin on his, her muffled sighs when he put his mouth on her, the way her body trembled when he easily brought her to orgasm, the feel of her legs loosely wrapped around his hips, the feel of her hands gripping his lower back, shoulders, arms, her moans, music to his ears as he drove on in pure ecstasy.
She was caught up in the comfortable feeling of his weight on top her, the look in his eyes, pure desire, the sensation of him filling her, and finding the perfect rhythm inside her as she clung to him, the sound of her name on his lips being called out breathily in pleasure, touching him everywhere, craving that sweet release while simultaneously never wanting it to end.
Josh fought against the pressure steadily building inside him but couldn't hold back any longer. He held her tighter as he rode the intense waves of pleasure that crashed through him into her, leaving them both breathless. He stayed on top of her kissing her softly several times before separating himself from her and rolling onto his back beside her.
His face broke out in a huge, playful grin.
"What was that?" he said
"Oh you know just the most incredible sex I've ever had" Gabi said, satisfied.
He grinned, honored at the compliment.
"We are incredible together" he said.
"At least in this way" she frowned.
"I don't know if I would say we weren't good together, we had an issue come up and yeah we didn't handle it well…" he said.
"Didn't handle it well? I set you up for therapy just to spy on you and that got my best friend dumped by your brother when he realized he also couldn't commit then we said terrible things to each other and broke up. Then we decided to take some space and you got tricked into a fake marriage which I found out about live on national TV in front of one of my favorite chefs Rachel Ray and had a mental breakdown" she said, exasperated.
"Wait, what?" he asked, not having seen the show.
"Yeah, do me a favor and don't ever watch that. Also since you're a tech genius if you could somehow make it disappear from the internet that would be great"
He stared at her, processing.
"I'm sorry I ruined that for you" he said seriously.
"Its okay, you know I'm a little, no make that a lot emotionally drained. How about we just be happy about what just happened here. I mean how long have we been waiting for this to happen and it finally did, and it felt amazing. No bad feelings only good ones"
"Are you saying you want to keep doing it but not be together?" he asked confused.
"I'm just saying lets not think about it. This made me happy" she said pointing between them. "No drama, no hurt feelings"
"It definitely made me happy too, really, really happy" he emphasized, causing her to laugh.
"So do we have a deal?" she asked, reaching out her hand to shake.
"Gabi, I'm a business man. I never pass up a good deal" he said grabbing her hand then pulling her over into his arms to kiss her.
"That's good because I like having you in my business" she grinned flirtatiously, giving him another quick peck on the lips, feeling his grin against her lips before rolling off of him and onto her feet, in search of her discarded clothes.
"Until next time" she winked and left.
