A Meeting by the Lake
The night was calm on the Hogwarts grounds. The stars sparkled like diamonds in the clear sky, and the soft sound of leaves rustling in the breeze filled the air. Harry Potter walked alone through the school gardens, his hands in his pockets, lost in thought.
After the tension of the past months, he felt he needed a moment for himself. The war with Voldemort always seemed imminent, but in that moment, he tried to escape from it all. The silence of the night wrapped around him like a cloak until a soft sound stirred him from his thoughts: the sound of footsteps.
Turning quickly, Harry found Gabrielle Delacour standing at the edge of the Black Lake. She was watching him with a serene look, but there was something in her eyes that made him feel a wave of curiosity and warmth in his chest.
"Harry," she said softly, her French accent dancing on her words. "You look lost. Is everything okay?"
Harry smiled faintly, surprised to see her there, so late. "Yeah, I'm just... thinking."
Gabrielle nodded, stepping a little closer. The moonlight reflected on her face, illuminating her delicate features and the long, blonde hair that cascaded gently over her shoulders.
"I understand," she said with a gentle smile. "Life at Hogwarts can be... confusing sometimes."
"Yeah, it's hard to find peace sometimes," Harry replied, taking a step closer to her. "Especially when things outside this school keep stirring."
Gabrielle looked at him for a moment, her eyes silently expressing understanding. She moved closer, the sound of her soft footsteps blending with the murmur of the wind.
"You know," Gabrielle began, "we can't always control what happens around us. But we can find moments of calm, even in the storms. Maybe that's what we need most right now."
Harry felt a sense of comfort wash over him as he heard her words. For a brief moment, the weight of the world seemed to disappear, and he just watched Gabrielle with an attentive gaze.
"Maybe you're right," Harry murmured. "I forget that sometimes."
They stood in silence for a few moments, both watching the lake and the stars. The moonlight reflected on the calm waters, creating a scene of pure serenity.
"You always know what to say, don't you?" Harry commented with a slight smile.
Gabrielle chuckled softly, her smile widening. "I try. But sometimes, words aren't necessary."
Without warning, she took a step closer to Harry, her eyes shimmering with a softness that made him catch his breath. She looked at him with a hint of vulnerability, but also a confidence that made him feel completely present in that moment.
"Harry..." she began, her voice lower now.
