"The winner of the Autumn Elections…."

As everyone held their breath in anticipation, the trio grasped each other hands and smiled warmly at one another.

"May the better chef win." The trio said in unison.

"By split decision… Contestant Nakiri Erina!" Senzaemon announced as the screen lit up and showed that 3 judges voted for Erina and 1 for Soma and Alice.

Too caught up in the moment, the place remained silent until mutters of confusion arose from every end of the stadium.

"Is this the first time the judges' panel failed to reach a consensus in the Autumn Election final?" The Hoseki members asked the Professor seated near them.

"It is. The past Autumn Election finals were decided unanimously. I wonder what is the decisive factor that swung in Nakiri Erina's favour…" Professor Roland replied as they all looked down and saw Anne standing up, ready to address their decision.

"I'm sure you all are confused about us splitting our votes, but I can reassure you that this is not a mistake. The three dishes that were served today were equal in almost every regard. However, the deciding factor that led us to favour Nakiri Erina's dish was that her dish encapsulated her journey and her evolution as a chef"

Confused by the ambiguous statement, someone in the crowd nervously asked: "Um… is the difference that significant between her dish and the other two dishes? I'm sure their dish also conveys their entire journey up to this moment."

"Hehe, that's an excellent question. Before I answer, let me ask everyone seated here now. What do you know of the god's tongue?" Anne suddenly questioned as the trio glanced toward her and saw a rare expression of seriousness on her face.

Knowing where the conversation was heading, Soma and Alice softly tightened their grip on Erina's hands to show their support.

"What is this question? The god's tongue is obviously Erina-sama!"

"You idiot! Don't state something everybody knows. A god's tongue is a superhuman ability that grants the wielder an ultra-acute sense of taste!"

"Hah, don't talk like you didn't just find it on a wiki. In my opinion, the god's tongue allows the chef to detect even the tiniest imperfections in any dish with only a single taste"

"That's right! The god's tongue can pinpoint minuscular details regarding the quantity and quality of every ingredient used!"

"It's a gift only the finest chef should have. Fortunately for us, it is wielded by the best chef of our generation, Erina-sama!"

"Agree!"

"Yeah!"

"Hehe, I won't deny that Erina is the best chef currently…" Anne said as she cast a smirk towards Soma and Alice, which they growled in reply.

"However, what I'm asking is how does the god tongue help in Erina's cooking?" Anne asked as the crowd tilted their head in confusion.

"Isn't it the same as we mention? The god's tongue grants her the ability to cleanse off the impurities of imperfect dishes and allows her to cook said dish perfectly." A student in the crowd replied almost immediately.

"Hoh? Are you implying that her speciality is stealing other people's dishes and improving on them?" Anne asked questioningly.

"?! No! Of course not!" What she is doing is not stealing, it's using her skills on an imperfect dish." The student replied vehemently.

"Hmm…But if I recall correctly, there was one contestant who also traced his opponent's dishes and improved on them by adding just one ingredient. Ah yes, the contestant Mimasaka Subaru. Wasn't he applying his own knowledge on a dish he considered was inferior to his?" Anne asked again.

"That's…"

Leaving the students tongue-tied, Anne gazed towards the trio, who nodded in response. Gaining their approval, Anne revealed that Erina's speciality is none other than knowledge, creativity and adaptation.

"No way! That's just the same as any other chef!" Some students in the crowd argue back.

"Hmm? When has Nakiri Erina differed from any other chef? She cooks using her knowledge and creates new dishes with it, just like any other chef does." (Anne)

"But… the god's tongue…"

"The god's tongue is one thing, Erina is another. Didn't she say something similar during Soma's Shokugeki versus Nikumi? I want to be remembered as Nakiri Erina, not as the god's tongue of another generation (Chapter 10)." Alice reminded the crowd as Soma followed up with a slightly controversial statement.

"At first impression, the god's tongue seems like a gift from heaven. But in actuality, it looks more like a curse from hell."

With that statement from Soma, everyone turned their attention towards Soma, eager to give him a piece of their minds. However,

"Could you imagine what it feels like to have your sense of taste heightened to the max every time you eat? Could you imagine the hardships that come along with it? Could you imagine her expression when she cannot share the joy we have when eating? Could you imagine her struggles where she cannot even lie regarding the taste of a dish cook by someone close to her? Could you picture yourself in her shoes?" Soma said softly, but the weight of his words shook everyone deep into their core.

Squeezing Soma's hand to calm him down, Erina started: "I told you all before this, didn't I? There are no proper ways to cook because there are no fixed and perfect recipes. Every method can be altered, every ingredient can be replaced, and every flavor can be changed. So, how does the god tongue distinguish between perfect and imperfect dishes?".

"Through expectation and experience." Erina said.

"That's…" (Crowd)

"To my knowledge, my sensitivity to taste is five times more refined than others. It means whatever food I taste, my tongue will experience five times more than what you all feel. Thus, what would happen when the first experience of an ingredient is not to my liking or imperfect as you all imply?" (Erina)

"You would feel repulsive?"

"That's right. Just imagine that your first taste of beef is beef tartare (raw beef with egg yolk)." (Erina)

As soon as Erina said that, many people in the crowd felt their stomachs churn up just by picturing that image. I mean, who the f*** attempts to eat raw beef in the first place?

"That's the normal reaction, right? After tasting something you dislike, it would lead to an unpleasant experience and worsen expectation the next time you taste the exact ingredient." (Erina)

"Erina-sama… how many similar experiences have you gone through?" A student hesitantly asked.

"How many years I have experienced the term 'taste'?" Erina replied immediately as the crowd fell silent once again.

From the moment humans are born, we are required to intake food to survive. It is common knowledge that we cannot distinguish taste during our early years, but this does not apply to Nakiri Erina. Rumors have it that when she was four, she told her mother that her breast milk was disgusting, which led to an infamous disappearance.

"Erina-sama… how were you able to taste anything again? How are you capable of steeling yourself after experiencing such things for so long?"

In response, Erina held up the hands she was linking with and let out a bright smile.

"That's because I'm a chef, after all."

"After the final"

"Alice, Soma, how long are you both continuing to sulk?" Erina asked as the two turned their heads to look at her before pouting their lips and returning to look out from the balcony.

"Haa… what am I going to do with you two…" Erina complained with a smile as she walked up to them and smoothly placed herself between the two.

Displeased that Erina found her way in, Soma and Alice gave each other a look and decided on a plan.

Already well aware of their antics by now, Erina flashes the two a cheeky grin.

"Tch." Clicking their tongues, the two responded by squeezing closer to her as the trio started this game of shoving Erina out.

From their perspective, it may seem like a minor quarrel but from the outside perspective… Well…

"Uwaah… let's go Ryoko-chan. I don't think I can handle something sweet before the party even starts." Yoshino said while dragging Ryoko away.

"I sincerely hope you four don't end up like them… Never mind…." Takumi sighed as he looked at the two couples linking hands behind him.

"Well, if you weren't so fixated on Yukihira, you may have gotten a girlfriend or two." Hisako chuckled as Takumi huffed.

"Hehe, it looks like there's nothing to worry about. I think we should leave them be and get ourselves prepare as well." Megumi suggested as the Hoseki members obliged, leaving the trio to their own devices.

After eventually tiring themselves out, the trio leaned onto each other as Soma, now in the middle, spoke out first.

"Huff… why is it so hard to make you bulge?"

"Hehe~~you shouldn't word it like that Soma or the people may misunderstand what you're referring to~~" Alice teased.

"Hmm, eager to be on the bottom, eh? Oh, forgive me. I forgot you were always the bottom one." Erina added smugly.

"Heh, you two may sound like you're teasing me, but to me, it just seems like you're both thirsty for some action." Soma replied cheekily as the two gave him a challenging smirk, daring him to.

Deciding that he had enough of losing for one day, Soma gave the two a little taste of what would happen in the future.

'Smack'

"Ooo~~frisky~~"

"Ah~~Soma, you!"

Raising his hands innocently, Soma gave them the same challenging smirk the two gave him moments ago.

Deciding to back off before things escalated,

Ever eager to respond to Soma's taunts, Erina and Alice one-up him by moving their hands slowly down his shirt and pausing just as their hands linger over a certain part of his body. However, before they could reach the 'prize', a clear and loud cough interrupted the trio's fun.

"Cough… Well, I would admit that it is nice watching you three enjoy your springtime. I must advise you about the TPO (Time Place Occasion)." Gin said as the five judges appeared together.

"Hehe~~I doubt they would want lessons from someone who hasn't married yet~~" Anne said, which caused Gin to fall comically while holding his heart.

"Tch, I was hoping to see a downhearted expression on the brat and here I am being treated to some outdoor play" Shinomiya said with disappointment.

"What? Can't entertain the idea of some outdoor activities? I feel for Inui-senpai~~" Soma replied cheekily as Shinomiya felt his forehead vein bulge.

"Heh, it looks like you are holding up well since you can still joke around. So, how do you feel? This was your first loss in a while, after all." Joichiro asked as everyone's eyes fell on Soma.

"To be truthful, I take it as just another loss to Erina… While I got a vote, I lost four in return. That just means my cooking can still grow just like how Erina's cooking did, " Soma revealed calmly.

"And what about you, my dears?" Senzaemon asked his two granddaughters.

"Hmm~~it sucks to lose to Erina again after I beat her at everything else~~But I feel much clearer now~~Compare to the battles we have for funsies, I can now picture new ways to improve myself~~Even if it is improving on my opponent's dish~~" Alice said while not forgetting to get jabs at Erina.

"For me, I feel glad Ojii-sama (Grandfather). I'm glad that I could win against them, I'm glad that they could win votes from me and I'm glad that I can enjoy cooking as always ~~" Erina said with a similar smile she showed at the end of the Autumn Elections.

"Oi oi, if you three act so mature, there won't be a scene where we adults provide you will some guidance." (Joichiro)

"Heh, I think the readers would be bored if the author added a scene of adults teaching children. It would just remind them of the lessons taught by their parents to stop using the internet." (Soma)

"Now now Soma~~this is different~~Fanfiction is also a kind of reading so there is no problem~~It's educational~~" (Alice)

"While I would normally appreciate the wall breaks, I think it's time to move on to the next scene~~The readers have waited a whole year after all." Anne said as the scene did not change as the author wanted to remind people who's in charge of the story.

"So much for that… Anyway, why aren't you all preparing for the party? This is the first time Totsuki has organized a follow-up event after the conclusion of the Autumn Elections." Erina asked.

"Other than offering our congratulations to you three, we are here to warn you about them." Gin said as the atmosphere turned serious.

"I see… There will make their appearance in the event after all." (Erina)

"I don't think we need to contemplate too hard~~The first thing people do when facing an opposition is gathering information, after all~~" (Alice)

"I think we're past that stage, Alice. I'm sure they are already vigilant about Rindo-nee and just by knowing that she's close to us, they will deduce we have information about them." (Soma)

"Hmm~~~so it can't be helped then, we will face them head on~~And we have just the right target~~" Alice grinned as the group caught on to who she was referring to.

"Yea, that would be fine. Don't worry if it doesn't work out though, we have our own plan as well" Anne said confidently as she gave the group a brief rundown before leaving with her fellow judges to prepare.

"Heh, it feels exactly like we're in a Shonen Anime." Soma said as the trio looked on at the setting sun.

"It can't be helped~~We possess the qualities befitting of main characters after all~~" (Alice)

"Hmph, if we are really going down the anime troupe, then let's get the happy ending Shokugeki no Soma deserved!" (Erina)

"Yea, we'll be by your side along the way." Soma said as he held onto Erina's hand.

"Hehe~~you can't get rid of us if you wanted to~~" Alice replied as she linked their fingers together.

"And Erina, congratulations on your victory, but I will win next time!" Soma and Alice said together as they plucked Erina's lips under the sunset.

"Muu… you both are so cliche… But, thank you… Love you like always~~" Erina said with red cheeks as she reciprocated in kind.

As the setting sun brought a climax to their Autumn Election experience, the appearance of a waxing crescent moon signalled their first steps in completing their journey.

"Arriving at the Party"

"Wow~~How is this place not featured on the official Totsuki Academy brochure?! This place puts Totsuki Resort to shame!" Yuki exclaimed as soon as they reached the front door.

"This place was only reserved for official business parties after all. It's not strange that the academy kept students from knowing. Just imagine someone accidentally stumbling on a confidential party" Hisako explained as the members nodded their heads in understanding.

"So…why now? I don't buy the coincidental explanation that it is to celebrate this year's Autumn Election." Hojo speculated as the club members were welcomed in by the maids and butlers.

"Who knows…Maybe the headmaster just wanted to do something special for his granddaughters." Takumi said as he fixed his brother's tie.

"Or it could be the other way around…I could imagine Ojou convincing the old man to do something extravagant…" Kurokiba theorized as Megumi giggled at the imaginary scene.

"Either way, they really put their all into decorating the place. This looks even more extravagant than any high-end ballroom party." Shun exclaimed as the members took in the sight of the Totsuki ballroom.

With the place coated with an equal amount of gold and silver, it is hard to debate that this celebration was not held for Erina and Alice.

"I'm sure you would think that since you comb your hair up but I have to agree with you. This place looks better than any parties I attended." Ikumi said as she carried herself more comfortably than the others.

"In contrast to how you normally dress and act, it almost makes me forget that you were the Mito group princess." Ryoko pointed out which caused Mito to stumble slightly.

"Even despite that, the impact pales compared to her." Marui said as he cleaned his glasses.

Who is he referring to? It's obviously the girl linking arms with Hisako while bearing an innocent expression on her face and bitch slaying with her pure white gown.

"To think that Sadatsuka was able to bring out an improved version of her exercise form…Make-up paired with women is scary…" Daigo and Shoji agree in unison.

As the Hoseki members continued their idle chatter, they soon noticed that some students were slowly gathering around them. However, it seems like they were hesitant about how to approach them.

Aware of the similar tendencies between them and her previous self, Megumi, the girl who was once as shy as a bumpkin, flashed them a friendly smile to encourage them.

Egged on by the smile, a female student approached and asked: "Um, if it's not too impolite to ask, can we ask you for some time?"

Surprised by the request, the Hoseki members looked on as the students behind her also showed similar interest to talk to them.

"I guess it won't be a problem. Should we move to a more appropriate place?" Hisako recovered first as she was a secretary after all.

"N…No…that won't be necessary. We feel bad for bothering you too much…" Another female student said while flustering.

"I see. Why don't we head to the empty tables over there? I think we would all prefer to be seated when conversing." Hisako proposed with some humour as everyone followed her lead.

After everyone got themselves seated, the Hoseki members looked towards the 50-odd students who were lining up neatly.

"Hehe, it looks like we're conducting an interview or some sort." Ryoko said as the members chuckle in agreement.

"It isn't far off from Senpai! We are here to ask for your agreement in allowing us to join your club." A male student exclaimed.

"Please allow us to join your club, Senpais!"

"Sen…Senpai?! I'm pretty sure we are all first-year students here, there's no need to be so formal" Ryoko said with a fluster.

"You have got it wrong Senpai. We called you all Senpai because we were inspired by your cooking." The student said to the shock of the group.

"Even under the pressure of competing against one another in a competition, Senpais never faltered and took it in stride to present their own cooking. It looks so fun! Please teach us Senpais!"

"Please!"

Overwhelmed by the heartfelt words, the Hoseki members looked at each other and felt a sense of pride in what they accomplished. While the highest praise a chef could get is being told their food tastes perfect, the highest accolade any worker could hope to achieve is being told that they are enjoying their work.

Glancing at their unwavering eyes, they came to a mutual agreement to accept the students' pleas in the absence of their 3 leaders. I mean…they still have to demonstrate similar determination in their cooking in front of them, so where's the harm in not giving them a chance.

However, before they could relate the good news to them, they were interrupted by an unpleasant guest.

"How ridiculous…Fun? Fun doesn't mean anything if you can't achieve results." The guest said mockingly.

"If your fun means angering them, you have done a good job in achieving that result." Another voice said as she took in the looks of the Hoseki members.

"T…The 9th seat Eizan Etusya-senpai and…the 6th seat Nene Kinokuni-senpai!" The students gasped in shock.

"Hmph, if you have enough knowledge to know about me, you should put that knowledge to good use. The difference between fun-driven and result-driven can be clearly seen here" Eizan said with a smirk.

"Oh ya? Do you need some reminder on who was the one that scrambles back to his own cave after losing a bet to our club? I'm sure it wasn't you right, Eizan-senpai?" Takumi replied with some mockery of his own.

"Don't act so smug, Aldini. That was just a slight miscalculation on my part. In fact, your little stunt actually benefited me in getting rid of that useless woman." (Eizan)

"And thank god you did. It allowed me the perfect opportunity to conduct my first business partnership with someone who shares my ideology. So, once again, thanks for your hard work Senpai." (Ikumi)

"Heh, you can have her for all I care. Although, I am surprised that you, a future CEO, would actually invest in someone who had failed before. Maybe you find comfort in her as someone who shares a history of failing." Eizan mocked as he hinted at Ikumi's defeat to Soma.

"Senpai, there's a saying that a business is only as good as its people. If the consultant only focused on profit for himself, the partnership was doomed from the start." Megumi defended her friend with some wise words.

"She got you there Eizan. I can't even remember the number of times you discarded your 'rats' after they disobeyed you." Nene added, which caused Eizan to scowl.

"Shut up. Go hang out with your crush or something." Eizan retorted as Nene glared furiously in reply.

"Hmm, are you perhaps talking about me?" A familiar voice resounded as said 'crush' appeared with two glasses of sake with him.

"Isshiki?!" (Nene)

"Isshiki-senpai! (Hoseki members)

"T..The 7th seat Satoshi Isshiki-senpai!" (Students)

"Aah~~It's good to see that my juniors are getting along with their peers. Are you all perhaps interested in joining the Polar Star Dorm?" Isshiki asked the students with overflowing eagerness

"N…No…We are actually interested in joining the Hoseki Club…" A student hesitantly replied.

"Then I don't see any problem with you not joining both~~The first step in joining the club is to pass the Polar Star Dorm test after all. After you passed the test, you will join the dorm and bond with each other until you are ready for the second test." Isshiki lied without batting an eye.

"Really?!" The students asked excitedly.

"Of course not! Stop trying to tempt people into the Dorm with your lies Senpai! You're moving like those creepy uncles that lure children to their homes." Yuki ruthlessly compares as Nene backs up her point.

"You always did have the craftiest of minds. Who knows exactly what cunning plans you have planned behind that unchanging expression."

"I'm hurt Nene-chan~~When did I offend my childhood friend to give her such a bad picture of me~~" Isshiki said which caused many to raise their eyebrows.

"I…Idiot! Why are you bringing up such irrelevant information and don't call me Nene-chan!" Nene exclaimed in embarrassment.

"Eh~~? You told me that you like..." Isshiki's words were cut off as Nene put her hand over his mouth.

"Not another word Satoshi-kun…." Nene threatened with a gaze that promised pain.

However, as usual, there is always this someone that appears at the same place, at the wrong time, saying the wrong thing that further increases your frustration

"Haha, still the same embarrassed mess whenever Isshiki is around eh? I guess your tranquil mind just turns hectic when you see him huh Pigtails."

"Kuga…" Nene growled in annoyance.

"Yo, it seems like you, Eizan and Isshiki are having fun with the first years." Kuga greeted without a care in the world.

"T…The 8th seat Terunori Kuga!" (Students)

"That's Kuga-senpai to you, first years." Kuga reminded them.

"Heh, you can't blame them. You look like a midget even compared to them." Eizan said as Kuga felt his veins pop.

"Shut up Glasses, I want to hear nothing from the guy that pays his way to his position."

"Huh?! Care to repeat what you mean pipsqueak?!" Eizan glared furiously in reply.

"I meant exactly what I said! You earn your position mostly on business reputation and not your cooking skills. Oi, first years, kindly do me a favour and kick this guy off his seat. Besides, it's not like you'll be able to beat the others." Kuga nonchalantly said as he managed to draw aggro from both parties.

"Well that's not something I can slide." (Takumi)

"I told you I should've brought my bandanna here…" (Kurokiba)

The two more competitive members bite first as they stare directly at Kuga.

"You all want to have a go? Too bad, I don't have enough spare time to deal with fodders. Well, don't worry. I'm sure Eizan here has at least a reason to battle against you." (Kuga)

But, just as the group were about to respond, two other voices beat them to the chase.

"I'm afraid they would have to wait their turn."

"Yup~~we called dibs since a long time ago~~"

Immediately recognizing said voices, the Hoseki members turn to greet the two individuals. However, their voices were caught up in their throats when they caught sight of the two glamorous figures.

And who can blame them? Everyone already knew that they were breathtakingly beautiful. Even Eizan and Co held their breath as the two descended upon the stage like angels crafted by the god himself. And to top it all off, they even wore red corsages on their wrists with their contradicting colour gowns. It almost felt like this was their wedding party.

"Outside the ballroom"

"Not bad~~ I almost thought this was your wedding party Otouto~~You even have the red boutonniere clip on the left lapel of your tuxedo." Rindo joked as she took in the sight of Soma.

"If this was really a wedding then you would have already chewed us whole for not inviting you as the bridesmaid." Soma responds with some humour of his own.

"Haha, I'll hold you up on that." Rindo laughed as a group of people approached the duo.

"Hoh? So you're Yukihira Soma. You have good eyes and a strong spirit. I would love to cross blades with a noble warrior such as yourself." The only guy wearing a kimono spoke up first.

"Soma-nyan lost to Eri-nyan. He won't be a match for you and Momo." The girl holding a well-dressed teddy bear spoke next.

"So this is the kid you put your faith in Kobayashi. It's just like you to be so adventurous and daring." The guy with the largest frame spoke next while the remaining one…

"Rindo…I know we are in separate fractions but please help me with my suit…"

"Tsukasa…you really are hopeless…" Rindo complained but she quickly began tidying up his appearance.

"Phew…Thank you Rindo." Tsukasa thanks his girlfriend before turning to face Soma.

"Nice to meet you Yukihira-kun, Rindo has told me a lot about you." Tsukasa said as he extended his hand out.

"Likewise, it's good to finally meet you, Tsukasa-Senpai." Soma said as the two exchanged a firm handshake.

"You and I are quite similar to Yukihira in the way we cook according to our own philosophy. It's just a shame that we are on opposite ends." (Tsukasa)

"Heh, I would say it's better this way. It saves me the trouble of attaining enough qualifications just to challenge you. " (Soma)

"Haha, You really are a peculiar person Yukihira. I can see why Rindo considered you as the Number 1 Special War Power.

"Haha, are we going into Bleach references now? I didn't take you to be one into Anime, Tsukasa-Senpai."

"Well, if your girlfriend constantly watches things when she is beside you, you ought to learn something new." Tsukasa said with a chuckle.

"I get it, I get it." Soma nodded in agreement.

As the two continue their conversation, Rindo and the others look on with mixed expressions.

"Why do I think that it was a mistake to let them meet…Why am I feeling like I'm the losing party here." Rindo lamented.

"That's because you know them both intimately. It is quite embarrassing for even strong-headed girls such as yourself." The tall man stated.

"You don't have to be the straight man every time Megishima! I know what I'm feeling!" Rindo exclaimed.

"Sonyan…I'm bored, let's just go in." The girl said as she pulled on the man's kimono.

Complying with the girl's request, the two headed into the ballroom first and caught sight of an interesting turn of events.

"Minutes Earlier"

"Oi, how long do you intend to keep your eyes on us. We aren't the same whores that you normally buy off from the streets." Alice said towards the staring Eizan.

"What did you say bit*h?!" Eizan shouted after recovering from his stupor.

"Quiet down loudmouth. Don't humiliate yourself any more than you already have. You are representing more than yourself here" Nene reminded.

"What pigtails said. This is still an official event after all." Kuga added as Eizan growled in response.

"Hmm, never took you two to be considerate of your companion." Erina said towards her seniors.

"That just means you are unfamiliar with us." Nene replied as she adjusted her glasses.

"True, we didn't even have a proper conversation before this." (Erina)

"Hmm, trying to pull something over us, Nakiri? You aren't the type to initiate a talk." Kuga asked questionably.

"Who knows? Maybe you are just unfamiliar with me." Erina smirked in response.

"Whatever. So, where's your boyfriend? Did he lose all hope after failing to defeat you?" Kuga teased.

"Hehe~~He's outside talking with someone that a certain shrimp would like him to remember his name." Alice grinned as Kuga narrowed his eyes.

"It seems I have misjudged the amount of information you have on your hands. I guess it's to be expected as Senpai isn't the type to keep quiet" (Nene)

"And you're not the type to be analytic. Don't force yourself too hard Senpai, people tend to see someone with glasses as a sign of intelligence but they forget that they failed a test to get them." Erina said as the two locked their gaze on one another.

"Hey…Are the Nakiri princesses challenging the Elite 10?! Is Nakiri Erina-sama finally going to challenge her seniors?!"

"About time! I always thought she stopped herself as a sign of respect to her seniors but it seems there wasn't any to begin with. It's quite improper to issue a challenge in an official event."

"Man, who cares about etiquette?! If there is a Shokugeki including the Elite 10 members then I'm here all for it! Hell, we could even see three first-year members in the Elite 10!"

"Yeah! As much as people want to deny it, Yukihira Soma and Alice-sama should be able to easily beat that 9th seat and give the other second years a real challenge."

"Don't forget about the other members of their group. They earn points away from them too."

"Well…they can't all just go and challenge the Elite 10…"

"Pfft…you guys are talking as if the Elite 10 would accept their challenges…There are rules to that shit. Even if the requirements are met, they will probably decline just because they can, it's not like they are entitled to face every challenge."

"If they don't accept it, so be it. But, I will direct my respect for the Elite 10 to their only member that dares to prove her mantle in front of a packed stadium against two other quality chefs."

"There are more than 7100 languages spoken throughout the world and you chose to speak facts my friend. Since we enrolled here, we have yet to see a demonstration of their skills. Hearing is misleading, seeing is believing. Until proven else wise, I will stand by the fact that Nakiri Erina-sama and co deserved their place in the Elite 10."

"Agree, there needs to be a line drawn between individual admiration and group prestige."

As more and more students began rallying behind Erina and Co, the three Elite 10 members were left in an awkward position of whether to respond. And unfortunately for Nene, two of the current present members with her are extreme hotheads that don't take shit sitting down.

"Hahaha, you first years really know how to crack me up. You expect us, second-year Totsuki students, Elite 10 members, to demonstrate our skills just to satisfy your own views? Do you think we have such luxury?" Kuga said sarcastically.

"Heh, for once I agree with the pipsqueak. Why should we waste our time with you when our craft is recognized by the whole upper echelon of the culinary hierarchy?" Eizan added with a smug.

"Oh? Pardon me for interrupting your conversation but I seem to have overheard something I can't overlook." An unfamiliar voice spoke as everyone shifted their attention towards him.

"Haha, where are my manners? My name is Charme and it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintances." The man calmly introduced himself before bowing slightly in the direction of Erina and Alice.

Not one to let this slip from her eyes, Nene warned the two rascals from doing anything rash.

"I would advise you guys to use your brain before opening your mouths." (Nene)

Heeding her advice, the two decided to silently observe the man who was acting too nonchalant to be a normal guest. And true to their guess, he was not.

"So that's where you are, Charme. I thought you would be chatting up some ladies right now but instead, I found you conversing with two gents."

"You're not wrong in assuming that since there are two precious diamonds right in front of me but I was sidetracked by some interesting remarks." Charme said as he repeated what he just heard to his friend.

"Oh? That's quite a bold assumption from them." The friend replied as he looked over the two and noticed their badge.

"Right? I have nothing against a little overconfidence but I am adamant against false narratives. Don't you think so too, histoire?" Charme asked.

"Indeed. Although I am intrigued about who those upper echelons are, I'm even more interested about whether these two Elite 10 members can live up to their predecessors?" Histoire said to the surprise of many.

"Tch, you're speaking as if you met them." Kuga said after finally being unable to keep his mouth shut which earned him an elbow from Nene.

"Met them? Who do you think gives them their stars?" A haughty voice answered as everyone turned towards the stairs and saw Anne accompanied by a short blonde with blue eyes.

"Stars…? You mean the star stars?!" Marui asked frantically.

"Hehe~~I guess you fried his mind Lanterby~~It seems like he can't handle seeing another member or should I say 3 more members of the WGO~~" Alice nonchalantly announced as the students erupted into a frenzy.

"Hmph, he should have an idea since Anne is here. I guess what you said is true, Erina. People with glasses don't always seem smart" Lanterby said with a smirk.

"Heh, but if I recall correctly, you're wearing contacts yourself bi~" A teasing voice resounded which Lanterby instinctively acted on.

"I told you to stop calling me that you bastard!" Lanterby responded as she directed a punch towards the voice.

However, her punch was easily caught by the cheeky teen. "Still as feisty as always huh~ Nice to see you again Lanterby" The cheeky teen with red hair greeted.

"Tch, the feeling is not mutual Yukihira Soma." Lanterby grumbled

"Haah…They really do act like siblings…" Erina complained to the side as Alice gave her own cheeky remark.

"Hehe~~Lantern-chan is the tsundere little sister, Anne is the calm twin while the two not here are the teasing older sisters~~"

"If that's the case, we already got all the troupe covered so you both are not needed~"Anne teased back.

"Nuh uh~~me and Erina are his girlfriends ~~ GIRLFRIENDS~~" Alice stressed as Anne deadpanned.

"Haha, they really are a fun bunch. I wonder why our group hasn't gotten along like them." Tsukasa chuckled.

"For starters, our two leaders are in opposite fractions while I, Akanegakubo and Somei don't really care about unimportant things. Meanwhile, the second years have the most noticeable problems like Kinokuni's painfully obvious crush on Satoshi, Eizan's superiority complex and Kuga's desperation for your recognition." (Megishima)

"? Mine? He's already part of the Elite 10, isn't he? " Tsukasa asked in confusion.

'Still as pure and oblivious as always, I wonder how the hell did he even realize he loves me.' Rindou thought as she sent an exasperated look towards her boyfriend. However, it was not only her that was observing him.

"Hmm, he doesn't seem like a bad kid" Joichiro commented as he was busy adjusting his suit.

"He shares similar traits with Hayama in the fact he takes pride in his work. Maybe too much pride in their cases." Gin said next.

"Tch, the spice boy can't handle losing while this perfectionist can't handle non-hearted praises." Shinomiya said as he placed some finishing touches on Hinako's gown.

"Says the one whose pride is still hurting after the match with Soma-chan~~" Hinako teased while linking both their arms together.

"Pride is always synonymous with ambition. Like everything in this world, there are upsides and downsides to everything. As for the downside of pride, people will use ambition to mask vulnerability and weakness. That may be the case for them both and him." Senzaemon spoke wisely as his former students were reminded why he will always be their beloved teacher.

"Haha, enough of this talk. This is a party to commemorate the success of the 43rd autumn election and the achievement of Erina, Soma and Alice. Let's not keep them waiting" Senzaemon said as the four followed in his stead.

Receiving instructions from her earpiece, Urara immediately went up on stage and assumed her natural position as emcee and commenced the start of the party.

"Hi everyone~~Welcome to the first ever post-autumn elections party organized by our generous Headmaster~~My name is Urara and I'll be serving as your emcee like always~~Wink~~"

"Tch, we'll settle this later. You better not run away Nakiri." Eizan said before walking away.

"Heh, says the guy who is turning his back on us " Soma said as everyone chuckled in response.

'Hmm…So he's Yukihira Soma. I thought he would be more eye-appealing like Isshiki…' Nene thought as she took a glance at Isshiki.

'Wait?! What am I thinking?!' Realizing her thoughts, Nene shook her head quickly to dispel such thoughts but Isshiki noticed and kindly asked her."

"Hmm, Is something wrong Nene-chan? Have you mistaken fruit juice for alcohol again? Your face is quite red."

"It's…nothing! And stop calling me Nene-chan!" Nene said with her cheeks blushing red.

"Argh! Just get a room! It's so f***ing obvious you have the hots for him!" Kuga complained before turning to Soma.

"And you, Yukihira Soma, was it? Don't think that you're the hot stuff here, there's still many that are ahead of you."

"Heh, thanks for the fiery tip Senpai, I'll burn it in my mind and remember about you when I recall those words." Soma implied cheekily as Kuga gave him a furious look before leaving.

"Hehe~~~Chat shit get burned~~" Erina giggled lightly,

"I say we have a toast for the roast~~" Alice said as the group raised their glass of fruit punch in unison before downing it.

After savouring their delicious non-alcoholic beverage, Soma and co turned their attention to Urara who was preparing to introduce the few guests of Honors.

"Now without further ado, it is my distinct honour to invite our headmaster Nakiri Senzaemon dono and Totsuki's finest Alumni on stage with us."

On cue, Senzaemon walked out with his finest students in tow as the ballroom burst out with applause.

"I don't know what is more strange…The fact that I see pops in formal attire twice today or Shimomiya not scowling at people…" (Soma)

"I'm more shocked by the fact that Kawashima-san used formal language…" (Erina)

"Mu~~Why is Grumpy holding his girlfriend's hand on stage? We can't lose to them Soma, Erina~~~" Alice said as she took hold of Soma and Erina's hand.

Chucking at her granddaughter's antics, Senzaemon gave the ballroom a thorough look before nodding in satisfaction.

"Welcome to Totsuki's first-ever post-Autumn Elections celebration, are my precious students enjoying themselves?"

"Yes, we are!"

"Good. As you all may already know, pursuing a career in the culinary profession is a stressful endeavour that can lead to chefs being burned out. Thus, which is why it is important to enjoy any free time you have"

"We will~~!"

"In retrospect of this, I would like to apologize to your seniors and predecessors for not organizing an event similar to this during their time. Please forgive this old man's negligence." Senzaemon said as he glanced towards members of the Elite 10 before turning to look at the four behind him.

"There is no need to apologize, Teacher. We all know you have our best interest at heart. Also, I would not have the best of times enjoying the party since I lost to Joichiro." (Gin)

"Hahaha, I remember me going to your room and dragging you out of your soggy pillow and forcing you to down some drinks with me. Good times~~" Joichiro laughed out loud.

"Not a word Hinako or I'll silence you with some tape again." Shinomiya threatened.

"Aww~~it was not like I was going to mention how you celebrated my victory in the 80th Autumn Elections~~" Hinako giggled lightly.

"Tch…Anyway, I don't think you need to mind it too much, Headmaster. All chefs have different ways to de-stress and relax. The most important thing in any work is to enjoy what you do." (Shinomiya)

"Yeah, one of the most important things in a chef is to never lose track of yourself and never back away from the kitchen. Once you do, it may mean you have forgone cooking as something you enjoy." (Joichiro)

"Take this to heart, children. Masters of their craft have failed more times than beginners have tried. Your journey as a chef will be tedious and filled with challenges where even the best have stumbled and fallen. You may fail, you may doubt yourself, you may cry, but failure and struggle are a delay, not defeat. It is just a temporary detour, not a dead end. Thus, don't ever give up as many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." Senzaemon advised as his powerful words resonated deeply with the students.

"We will take it to heart! Thank you for the advice !" The students said together as they bowed towards him.

"After all these years, I see you're still the same pampering father to his students, Totsuki's Headmaster."

Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice resounded as a silhouette of a person appeared on the giant screen of the ballroom.

"Heh, I could say the same to you for appearing whenever and wherever you like." Senzaemon rebutted with a fond smile.

While the students gossip about who this person could be, Anne and her fellow bookmen got up on stage to join Senzaemon and co.

"Hmm, it's been a while since I last saw all of you together. This brings back some memories." The silhouette spoke.

"Yes, it's nice to catch up with one another since we don't have many opportunities due to our schedules being jam-packed throughout the year." Anne replied.

"Is that so? I guess I'll have to delegate your tasks more evenly to ensure you bookmen can meet up more often. I wouldn't want my precious disciples to overexert themselves." The silhouette said.

"Hehe, that would be much appreciated. We thank you for your benevolence." Anne said as she and the rest of the bookmen slighthy bowed.

After he pieced all the conversation together, Marui trembled vigorously as he asked Soma and co. "Is…the…silhouette…who I….think it is…?"

"Bingo~~The silhouette is none other than~~~" (Alice)

"Heh, I believe your visit today is far from reminiscing with your disciples. So, to what do I owe this sudden visit, Honorable bookmaster?" Senzaemon asked as the ballroom fell into dead silence after hearing the term 'Bookmaster'.

One heartbeat, two heartbeats, three heartbeats…Flatline…Revival. As the students finally regained their breath after their thought process was short-circuited, the ballroom descended into a frenzy as they were graced by an existence even more mysterious than the god's tongue.

"What?! The never before seen bookmaster is making its appearance?!"

"The legendary founder of the WGO?!"

"The first author of the book?!"

"I'm so blessed to be part of the 92nd generation!"

While some were ecstatic to see such a legendary figure, some were not sharing their enthusiasm.

"Well, this is unexpected. " Kuga said.

"Yeah. It's a blunder on my end, I should have dug deeper the moment a first-class bookman was invited to be a judge of the Autumn Elections." (Nene)

"Tch, there's no need to cry over spill milk now. Those bastards affiliating themselves with the WGO will put a damper on the plan." (Eizan)

"The seed of great victory lies in minor triumph. It seems they have gotten the better of us today." (Somei)

"Not cute…Momo doesn't like things that are not cute." (Momo)

"So, are you going to make the report today?" Megishima asked Tsukasa

"Guess I'll have to. He must have known something major was going to happen today since he recommended that we join the party tonight. However, is there something more happening behind the scenes?" Tsukasa said as he glanced towards Rindo.

"That is yours to find out." Rindo replied as she turned to walk away from the group and headed towards Soma's direction.

"This is not goodbye, Tsukasa. I'll be waiting at the spot we promised. " Rindo softly muttered as she resisted the urge to take a final look at her boyfriend.

"There's no need for formalities, Totsuki's Headmaster. It should be I that commemorates your passion and drive in nursing chefs generation after generation." The silhouette praise.

"Hahaha, this old man will take your praise to heart." (Senzaemon)

"Hmm, it seems I have interrupted you at an unfortunate time. Totsuki's headmaster, once again pardon me for my untimely arrival as my visit today was due to my inability of containing my curiosity" Silhouette said as its eyes scanned the ballroom

"Curiosity?" Senzaemon questioned.

"Indeed. The activities of your academy have been cooking up quite a storm in the Culinary world recently and have garnered the attention of many, including me." The silhouette explained.

"For this past century, Totsuki Academy has been known to boast the best and harshest culinary education in the world. To my knowledge, Totsuki Academy has a pre-set tradition that is followed down to a tee. However, changes were brought upon this year as the academy hosted its first-ever three-way deadlock final and a post-Autumn Elections Celebration. In addition, you also sought out us bookmen to be a part of this year's Autumn Elections. I wonder what has brought upon this sudden change?"

"Heh, you could take it as a grandfather wanting to spoil his beloved granddaughters and grandson-in-law." Senzaemon chuckled in reply.

"The Culinary Trinity, is it? I heard from Anne and many others about their skill and potential. I will not disregard their innate talent but, I have also seen my fair share of geniuses fall short and crumble beneath the pressure. "

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Erina responded as she walked on stage with Soma and Alice and stared directly at the silhouette.

"The god's tongue, Nakiri Erina. The Darling of Molecular Gastronomy, Nakiri Alice and The Devil, Yukihira Soma"

"It's a pleasure to make your acquittance."

"Hello~~"

"Yo"

"Nakiri Erina, you're implying there's not a disparity between you from the rest?"

"No, I won't deny that I am more naturally gifted than others, but everyone has talent. What's rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads. After all, genius is seldom recognized for what it is, a great capacity of hard work" (Erina)

"Yeah~~We also have it hard ourselves you know~~With recognition, comes added pressure~~However, life is a journey with problems to solve and lessons to learn but most of all, Experiences to enjoy~~" (Alice)

"Bookmaster, I have also seen geniuses fail, but it was just the start of their journey. He told me that he may have not gone when he intended to, but he was glad he ended up where he intended to be." Soma said as he glanced at his father, who was looking at him with a warm expression.

"Also, I have never considered Erina and Alice to be different from me and have never claimed myself to be a genius. I don't know why people would classify me as something different to them but to me, I'm just a plain old diner chef, determined to be the best chef in the world." Soma said as he felt Erina and Alice squeeze his hands in happiness.

"Fufu, I see. You three are worth a closer examination. Totsuki's headmaster, I have a selfish request that will affect your academy's tradition once more." The silhouette said as it showed the faintest hint of a smile.

"If it is beneficial to them and they are not opposed to it, then I am in no right to oppose" (Senzaemon)

"Very well. If I recall correctly, the next part of the first years' curriculum is the Stagiaire system." (Silhouette)

"Are you suggesting...?" (Senzaemon)

"Yes. The Stagiaire System or else known as the Trainee system is a program where your academy sends first-year students to various professional kitchens to let them learn about the reality of living in one. I'm sure many high-class restaurants and food institutes have their eyes on this year's finalists, and deciding where to relocate them will be a hassle. Thus, how about you leave those three with me?" The Silhouette said as everyone looked on in shock.

"Meeting with the bookmaster?!" (Student A)

"Training with the bookmaster?!" (Student B)

"I have never heard of something like this! It's unprecedented!" (Student C)

"Hahaha, that's a hard bargain to refuse. I'm almost certain that this is the first time you seek out someone outside the ones you monitored and recruited yourself." (Senzaemon)

"It is. Those three have caught my interest, and it will be rather foolish of me to not make use of an opportunity to meet them. Also, they seem to be quite acquainted with my disciples and as their master, I would for sure treat them as one of my own." The Silhouette said as it turn to look at the trio looking for an answer.

After debating the pros and cons, Soma represented the trio and answered: "We will accept on one condition."

"What are those idiots planning?!" Most of the Hoseki members, namely Ikumi, Takumi and Yoshino shouted in disbelief.

"Beats me. I have no idea." Kurokiba answered as her girlfriend turned to him.

"Heh, if it's something the three thought of, it must be something outrageous." Hisako said as she was exasperated.

"Hoh, you three seem to understand your value quite clearly. Very well, seeing that I am the one who is requesting for you, I will hear your condition."

"Thank you. We will accept your request on the condition that our club members receive the same offer as well." Soma said as students reacted immediately.

"HUH?!" (Students)

"Marui! Takumi!" (Hoseki members)

"Megumi?!" (Kurokiba)

"Hisako Onee-Chan! (Nao)

"Wha...What...What are they doing..." Takumi, Megumi and Hisako voiced weakly as they felt limp after hearing what their leaders requested.

Doing its best to ignore the commotion occurring in the ballroom, the Silhouette kept silent as it considered the request.

"Your reasons will decide my answer, Culinary Trinity." The Silhouette spoke as all eyes turned to the trio.

"Just like you, the members of our club caught our interest, and by watching them and competing with them, we firmly believe that they have the potential to stand beside us." The trio answered together as the Hoseki members felt something warm inside their chests.

"Answer me this. I'm certain you understand that this is not something that is offered to just anyone. Since you three are unparallel, why should I go through the trouble of extending the same favor to people lesser than you?" (Silhouette)

"They will leave visible results throughout their period in the WGO." The trio replied smoothly.

"..."

After a momentary pause, the Silhouette burst out laughing. "Hahahaha, Very well, if they fail to live up to my expectation, you know the consequences! Totsuki's headmaster, I will personally send in the request soon. Culinary Trinity, Hoseki members, I'll be awaiting your arrival."

With those parting words, the silhouette vanished as everyone turned to one another in wonder. Did that really just happen?

After the party, the Hoseki members, Rindo, The Alumni and even the WGO members gathered in the Polar Star Dormitory.

"Whistle~~I anticipated a much more enclosed spot to be a hideout than here." Charme said as he downed the leftover pines from the party.

"Don't be rude Charme. I think this place suits its purpose since it's located away from the campus ground." Histoire lightly scolded his friend.

"You're just pleased that you are currently living your dream of finding a well-maintained mansion inside the forest, you blockhead." Lanterby said as Histoire did not deny the fact.

"Hahaha, I'm grateful for the praise, Young lady. It has really been a while since this dorm was filled with livelihood from morning to night. I could still remember like it was yesterday when a rascal suddenly barged in." Fumio said.

"She's talking about you, Dad/ She's talking about you, Soma." The father-duo exclaimed together.

"I'm talking about the brat from almost 20 years ago. Really, what kind of person would serve an examiner a hellish dish and a heavenly one after the other..." Fumio lamented as Joichiro chuckled awkwardly.

"Anyways, this old lady will take her leave here. Be sure to clean things up and turn the lights off when you are done." Fumio said as she got up and left.

"Headmaster-dono, is it really ok for all of us to have our Stagiaire at the WGO?" Takumi suddenly asked.

"Hmm? Are you scared Takumi? You would normally be jumping for joy to be part of an opportunity like this." (Soma)

"That's not it Yukihira. We are definitely honoured to represent the academy, but we feel like we are taking advantage of you three." Takumi replied seriously as the other members also nodded in agreement.

Expecting some sort of reassurance or encouragement from the other people in the room, they were not ready when they heard two people chuckling at their statement.

"Pfft..." (Rindo)

"Hehehe~~It's impolite to laugh Rindo-nee" (Alice)

"But, it's just so ironic haha." (Rindo)

Blinking their eyes in confusion, they turned to the two expecting an answer but it was Senzaemon who spoke up and address their confusion.

"It appears you all still have some reservations about your own potential. For that, it is partially due to our fault. I apologize." Senzaemon said.

Before they could inquire about what Senzaemon was apologizing about, Anne interrupted them and said: "I think it's high time to tell you about your own worth and how we are the ones taking advantage of you. "

In an Unknown Place

"Come on...How much longer do we have to wait...It's been around an hour since we arrive"

"Tch, I agree with the pipsqueak for once. Just think how much money I could have earned if I'm not here sitting doing nothing."

"Will the two of you shut up? I'm tired of dealing with your constant winning and yapping."

"Heh, who made you captain?"

"Die"

"Hmm, it seems our juniors are lacking in self-control. This pains my heart as a samurai." (FYI: Self-control is one of the 8 virtues of Bushido)

"Bucchi, why is Momo here? Momo was supposed to be in her cute bedroom, not this dark underground."

"It seems like he is running a bit late, did he inform you about anything after he called us to meet him here?"

"No, he was at first surprise that the Bookmaster appeared, but soon he began laughing and told me to gather you all and that attendance was compulsory."

"Creak creak"

After waiting for a few more minutes, the people inside heard the door open and several footsteps descending down the stairs. Glancing upwards, they could see several clothed figures following behind a man wearing a black suit attire with a white tie and black gloves.

"Apologies for my delay everyone. There seems to be a large commotion on the streets after news spread about the appearance of a certain bookmaster."

"Tch, took you long enough. So, what's the plan and who are the wannabe ghosts behind you."

"Haha, as impatient as ever my dear Alchemist. I assure you that you will be making double the profit after our plan commences. As for who they are, you can think of them as your allies" The man said as the frontmost figure, presumably the leader walked up and extended his hand towards Tsukasa.

"It's been a while Tsukasa Eishi, I hope you have gotten better than before."

"You're A****?!"

And done~~ How was it~~? Are you guys satisfied on who won~~What did you guys think about the events after~~ Who are the guys in the unknown place~~ What's happening with Soma and Co~~I look forward to hearing from you guys~~

PS: Here's an omake for you guys~~I think leaving it out of the main story was the correct choice~

Omake (After the Bookmaster left)

"You f**king morons!" The Hoseki members shouted as they rush towards the trio and surround them in a hug.

"I would much prefer something better sounding when I'm showered with affection~~" (Alice)

"Shut up and let us hug you" Hisako rebutted.

As they were in the hug, Alice smirked at Erina and said: "Wow~~Those Albert Einstein books really came in handy huh~~"

"You're free to think what you want, imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited while imagination encircles the world." Erina replied which earn a chuckle from the group.

PS: I can't give a time about the next update, so please bear with me. Hopefully you guys like the chapter and I'll try my best to continue pumping out more for you lot~ Here a slight teaser~~

"Takumi-kun, Look out!" (Megumi)

"Nao, it seems like you found your home huh" (Hisako)

"Do your best to not disappoint me, trusted comrades of my family." (?)
