Hello everyone! Welcome back to more Joker's Wild!

So… hi! You all really enjoy this story. 150 favourites? 165 follows? You are all crazy but thank you for enjoying this story!

Now, some big news I'll state up front. Due to it now being September, I am back in college and going to be busy with assignments and all that jazz. So the story will slow down. I'll still try to write when I can because honestly… seeing all the fans made me enjoy writing this. But, just letting you all know what's going on.

Other then that, please read the author's note at the end for the big stuff again. With that all taken care of, there will be some fun twists this chapter!

And also, if you see this? [GX] That means the card has been altered in some way shape or form to fit the GX era or just because I made a mistake with the effect. A new tell to show if a card is a bit different so a repeat of Jester Lord doesn't happen.

But for now? Enjoy!

Yu-Gi-Oh GX – Joker's Wild

Chapter 4

SDB, Duel Attorneys for Hire

Sadie sat there, crossed arms and closed eyes, while Fox Fire rested on her lap. "So let me get this straight." She opened her eyes to look at Dimitri and Belowski who are surrounded by the other spirits. "Duel spirits are a real thing. All those crazy stories about seeing spirits of cards is true."

As the two boys nodded along, she then continued as she turned to Belowski. "You met Mokey Mokey when you were overstressed about everything, and as such, gained the ability to see spirits. And because of this, your 'spirit power' is difficult to control, causing people to relax and fall asleep. Thus why no one had seen or heard of you in so long… because you were in a separate dorm."

Belowski nodded. "Yep."

Sadie then turned Dimitri. "Meanwhile, you're dealing with two souls combining into one in the most confusing way possible as one side is you but the other is knowledge of a bunch of things like events, bare minimum information on people, and Duel Monsters knowledge. You gained the ability to see spirits by coming to this well, meeting all the spirits and taking them with you. Your 'spirit power' activates when you duel as it gets everyone around more and more pumped up for a show… which you found out earlier today."

Dimitri nodded. "That's correct."

"And you didn't tell me any of this earlier because you, rightfully, didn't want to appear insane in front of me and was also struggling to understand everything. And now that I picked up Fox Fire… I can see spirits and will probably have weird stuff happen to me." Sadie took a deep breathe before she looked at Dimitri with a deadpan. "You know… I know I said, "Want to take the world by storm" but there's a limit to the amount of insanity. I blame you fully for pulling me into this."

Belowski nodded with a cheeky grin. "Oh yeah. It's one hundred percent all him."

"WHAT!?" Dimitri turned to Belowski shocked.

The Mokey Mokey duelist chuckled and continued. "I mean… he even took me into his room and now I'm his roommate. Can you believe what I'm going to have to deal with?"

"Dude! You literally appeared at my window with bags! I wasn't going to say no! Don't blame me!" Dimitri looked at Belowski with betrayal.

Sadie just nodded, struggling to not smile as she turned to Belowski. "I see. My condolences for your struggles. I diagnose you with Stage 3 Dimitri Bullshit. I am currently struggling with Stage 2 myself."

Dimitri's jaw dropped in the absolute audacity. Spirit of the Breeze was struggling to not laugh as Wynn appeared and tilted her head innocently. "A-Are we infected with Stage 1?"

This was trigger that caused Sadie, Belowski and all the spirits to start laughing as Dimitri groaned. "SCREW YOU GUYS!" However, after a bit, he started to laugh alongside them.

Exiting the well, the three friends would start to walk back when they heard panted running. Turning their heads, they saw a large Slifer Red student running as fast as he could as he tumbled in front of the three with a loud thud. Dimitri blinked for a moment. "…Chumley… right?"

Indeed, slowly getting up and groaning was Chumley Huffington. Catching his breath, he looked at the three in confusion but then focused back up. "T-The abandoned dorm! Alexis… Jaden… Syrus… T-Titan… I-I need to get to Professor Hibiki!"

Sadie and Belowski looked confused while Dimitri's eyes widened. Once the Koala duelist rushed off as fast as he could, Dimitri groaned into his hands. "FUCK!" Removing his hands and turning to his confused friends. "You know how I have knowledge on things? Some of that is events that haven't happened yet." He then groaned. "Trust me, it's confusing as hell, and I have no dates of time or anything."

Belowski smiled as he patted Dimitri on the shoulder. "Hey… it's fine man. We'll help you out. …So what was that about?"

Nodding, Dimitri turned to them. "So… a lot of the crazy stuff happens around Jaden Yuki and his group of friends. Right now, they're at the abandoned dorm where Alexis gets kidnapped by Titan."

"TITAN!?" Sadie's eyes widened. "Isn't he an S-Ranked criminal!? And he kidnapped Alexis!?"

"Yep. Basically, there is so much that I could get into but… Jaden wins the duel, they leave and the one who hired Titan finds him missing." Dimitri then groaned. "And because of being in the abandoned dorm, that person tries to expel Jaden and Syrus." Seeing their shocked looks, Dimitri sighed. "It's Crowler. The man's living pettiness and has a personal vendetta against Jaden for beating him at the entrance exam. He hired Titan to scare Jaden out of dueling… and then uses entry into the abandoned dormitory as a way to expel him."

Sadie's eyes darkened as she glared. "…Crowler. I never liked him but now? He's on my shit list." Dimitri and Belowski's eyes widened as they took a step away from Sadie. "To hire a fucking criminal over his bruised ego!? Why I should wring his scrawny clown neck!"

The two boys stood there as the spirits huddled behind them. They could literally see the fire burning in Sadie's eyes as Hiita poked her head up. "…And I thought I got angry at times…"

Stopping her fury, Sadie then turned to Dimitri with a glare as she stomped over and grabbed his shoulder tightly. "Is there a reason you knew this but didn't say anything? Why you're being a bystander!?"

Dimitri gave a nervous laugh. "To be fair… I don't really have an exact timeline? Most of the things I know are random with no exact dates?"

"Acceptable reason but there's still more… isn't there?" Sadie said this with a smile that seemed friendly… but radiated an energy of speak or experience pain.

"Well, are you willing to risk your soul on a card game? Do you how to deal with Shadow Games and shit?" Dimitri spoke with a deadpan. "I'm a guy playing goofy fun decks, you're just getting into dueling more seriously, and Belowski is Belowski."

Belowski raised a finger before slowly lowering it. "Rude… but fair."

Dimitri sighed and shook his head. "Look. I want to help. But I'm also not risking my life when I know I'm not ready." He then gave a bit of a grin. "I'm working on some other decks. More serious ones. In case we get pulled into shit like that."

Both Belowski and Sadie stared at Dimitri with deadpan stares as they spoke at the same time. "We're friends with you, we will get dragged into that."

"…Rude but fair." Dimitri sweat dropped a bit. "Here's the plan. We'll work on our decks, improve our dueling, and then we can help out. But truthfully? We're not exactly needed for their problems."

This made Sadie stop as she frowned but sighed. "Okay… I don't like it but I get it." She then sighed. "I wish their was something we could do though."

Lyna poked her head up from behind Belowski as she smiled. "Maybe you three can act as heroic assistance? Like… you can't help them with Titan, but maybe you can help them with that clown guy you were wanting to harm?"

"…Lyna, I'm sorry… but what are you talking about?" Eria tilted her head in confusion.

However, Sadie paused as she heard Lyna's words and pondered for a bit. "No no. Hold on. Let your sister speak."

"Actually…" Aussa appeared next to Sadie. "We're not siblings. We're disciples in magic to the same teacher. Only Dharc and Lyna are siblings. But to be fair… We see each other as found family."

Wynn nodded shyly with a small smile. "Y-Yeah. Despite us s-seeming like that at first glance… I-I do have my own family elsewhere."

"Not the point but that's fun to know." Sadie brushed them off as she started pacing back and forth. "I mean… she makes a point. We can't help out with Titan. But we CAN get back a Crowler." She then gained a mischievous grin. "I got a Dimitri styled idea on how to help." She leaned in and whispered it to the two boys as their eyes widened.

Belowski nodded with a cheeky grin. "Yep. Definitely a Dimitri styled idea. I'm in."

"…I hate how I can't even argue with that statement." Dimitri groaned at the two teasing grins his friend had but smiled as he nodded at Sadie. "Fuck it. I'm in as well. So… how do we do this?"

After some time, the trio would find themselves outside of the abandoned dorms as Jaden, Syrus and Alexis walked out. The trio of friends watched Chumley and Professor Hibiki come by, checking on the three that walked out of the dorm.

However, off to the side, Sadie, Dimitri, and Belowski made sure to record this as they turned to one another and nodded with grins.

…What followed was exactly how it played. School security had came knocking on the door for Jaden and Syrus as they were dragged to the Chancellor's Office. There, all the professors would be standing and discussing while Crowler looked at the boys with a smug grin while Midori was giving him a glare.

"I must say… to be such troublemakers and breaking into an unauthorized location?" He rubbed his chin. "Truly, the only way to face this is expulsion-"

However, at that moment, the door to the room slammed open. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" A feminine voice spoke with confidence as they gathered all the attention of the room.

And out of all the Professors, Midori and Satyr would look with wide grins… as walking into the room was Sadie followed by Dimitri and Belowski. All three of them were dressed in full black suits while wearing sunglasses.

Sadie, also holding a briefcase, walked up to the two boys who stared in confusion. "You two don't have to say anything right now." She then turned to the Chancellor and Crowler with a sigh. "To speak to my clients without notifying me or my team? For shame."

Crowler, stunned, sputter and spoke. "M-Miss Seiko? What are you doing here? And what are you talking about?"

Sadie smirked as she snapped her fingers. "Why, my team and I are here in defence of the innocent." Dimitri and Belowski remained stoneface as they walked to all the professors and handed each of them a small business card.

"…SDB, Duel Attorneys for Hire." Chancellor Sheppard looked with a small smile. "What exactly is SDB?"

Belowski took a step forward. "It stands for Sudden Dance Break." He then pulled out his PDA as music started to play. Dimitri, hearing the music, started to do the running man to the beat.

Sadie gained a tick mark as she walked over and whacked the two boys on the head. "FOCUS!" The boys snapped to attention and saluted as she sighed. "It's our initials. We're here to be the defendants for the currently prosecuted." She said while pointing to Jaden and Syrus with her thumb.

Crowler look appalled. "Miss Saeko! Mister Mogi! Surely you jest! I think your time around Mister Kagurazaka has corrupted you!"

…Dimitri wasn't even phased that Crowler would take it that way.

Sadie, however, just gave such a big smile. "Why, Vice Chancellor! As proud students of this fine academy, we cannot stand the potential of an innocent student being charged for a crime unjustly." The other teachers nodded as Crowler bit his tongue. Sadie then turned back to Chancellor Sheppard. "Now, we have a proposition. We would like time to investigate our client's accounts, the accounts of others during the night, and the scene of the crime."

Hearing that, one of the members of the security team's eyes widened. "Wait. Are you asking to go to the abandoned dorm?"

"What? No." Sadie shook her head as the security team relaxed. "We want you to join us. After all, if what we found out is true, then we have to explore the crime scene."

The professors weren't so certain as Sadie nodded to Belowski. Belowski, reaching into the briefcase, pulled out the school rulebook before turning to one page. "It states here that with proper supervision, any student is allowed in any location. And this current case requires that the proper supervision to be either a member of the security team or one of the professors."

There was a moment of silence as no staff member stepped up. The trio were starting to frown as Crowler went to speak-

"I'll do it."

…When they were interrupted by a new voice. A young adult man's voice that sounded rather like a Cockney accent. Turning to the doorway, the five students eyes widened. Dimitri especially stared with a bit of a dropped jaw. "I was wondering why my first student wasn't in our first class… turns out he's out here doing some crazy shit with his friends." Stepping in, the man adjusted his goggles with a grin. "So kid, you need a supervisor, you got one."

Chancellor Sheppard blinked before he smiled as he nodded. "Very well, I will allow you three permission." Crowler looked aghast as the trio smiled at Sheppard, who continued to speak. "You have until tomorrow to sort this out, understood?"

Dimitri, Sadie, and Belowski looked at one another and nodded before turning to Shepperd determined. "YES SIR!"

As the five students and one teacher stepped out of the room, Syrus turned to the trio with teary eyes. "T-Thank you."

Jaden even looked sheepish as he scratched the back of his head. "Yeah… I thought we were toast there for a moment. But why did you come help out?"

"Well, you probably didn't remember seeing us… but we were kinda heard a bit from Chumley as he went to get Professor Hibiki." Sadie smiled and nodded. "He ran into us first and said something about Titan. Considering that we knew Titan was a criminal… but also the fact that you may not get a chance to reveal that… we realized that you might get in trouble for self-defence."

Belowski nodded with his lazy grin. "So, we're going to be your defence attorneys. Sadie's going to get the witness accounts of those there at the scene of the crime… so you two are sticking with her." He then pointed to himself. "I'm going to be investigating the docks and security footage." Finally he then pointed to Dimitri. "And Dimitri is going to investigate the scene of the crime with this professor. Thanks again sir."

Dimitri nodded with a grin and a thumbs up as he turned to the professor. The professor just held a smile as he patted the Ra Yellow on the back. "Eh, it's no problem. Like I said, you're my first student. No one really signed up for my class."

"Eh? Really?" Dimitri's eyes widened a bit. "Why am I the only one?"

The professor shrugged and ran a hand through his brown hair. "People ain't too interested in bikes and technology. Most are more here to duel." He then shrugged and placed his hand on Dimitri's shoulder. "But enough of that. We heading out?"

The boy nodded as he turned to Sadie and Belowski. All three of them gave a smile as they fist bumped one another. Dimitri then turned to Sadie, the one who's leading the charge as she grinned and pushed her sunglasses up. "Let's get this show on the road boys!"

"RIGHT!" Dimitri and Belowski pushed their sunglasses up as well as the three turned their separate ways, all with a mission on their mind.

As Dimitri and the professor, the Ra Yellow boy couldn't help but look at his professor. The thick chocolate brown hair that flared out in all directions, the blue eyes with tanned complexion, and the red biker jacket with black goggles, a white undershirt, and a rather laidback attitude. He truly looked, in ways, like an older Jaden Yuki. But, on closer inspection of a ring on his middle finger of his right hand missing a stone… as well the crazy looking duel disk that seemed to be modified… Dimitri had an idea of who his professor is.

And who that was kind of shocked him. "Umm, professor?" Dimitri spoke up as he scratched the back of his head. "You never introduced yourself."

The man stopped for a moment. "Oh, right. Should do that." He turned with a lax smile and casual two finger salute. "The name's Valon. No last name… it's a personal thing. I'm your Duel Advancement Technology and Repair professor."

…Holy shit. It was him. Valon from the Waking the Dragons arc!?

This raised so many questions in Dimitri's mind. How did Valon end up here? Professor Hibiki he could understand and same with Reiko Kitamori. They were manga characters and worked for Kaiba Corporation and Duel Academy within the Mangas. But Valon? He rode off into the sunset.

Not only that, but his deck was also made to be of armour cards. Cards that weren't in the TCG or OCG… a pure anime deck. So this left him with so many questions.

Valon just chuckled and shrugged. "Put simply? I teach how to make cool shit and how to fix it." He then stopped walking as he found that they were now in a large clearing. "Perfect."

Dimitri raised a brow as Valon turned with a grin. "Well kiddo, I'll admit. I was curious about you when you signed up for my class. And with all the wacky stuff I've heard… I wanna test you out." Valon then turned and activated the modified Chaos Duel Disk which was now a slick black and red colour.

"…I don't have a choice do I?" Dimitri pulled out his deck. A small, excited grin slowly started to form on his face as he stood proudly. "Then… let's get this show on the road! It's SHOW TIME!"

Valon nodded as he flipped a coin. Catching it and placing it, Dimitri would think. "Tails!" Showing the coin was head, Valon grinned. "Tough luck kiddo. I'll be going first!" Valon tossed the coin up into the air as it landed in his pocket naturally, all the while Dimitri grinned back… two activated their duel disks and drew their cards with a yell.

"DUEL!" "DUEL!"

Valon: 4000
Dimitri: 4000

Valon looked at his hand and nodded with a smile. "Well… to start, I'll go with a simple move… I'll place three cards face-down and summon Diskblade Rider." Three cards appeared face down as a revving sound could be heard as bursting from the forest around them was a green feind on a blue bike with blue armour.

Diskblade Rider
Effect Monster – Level 4 – WIND – Fiend
1700 Attack / 1500 Defence
Once per turn: You can target 1 Normal Trap in your GY; banish that target, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK until the end of your opponent's turn.

"And with that, I'll end my turn." Valon spoke with a calm smile as he passed it onto to Dimitri.

Looking at his own hand, he smiled and nodded. "Perfect. I'll set one card face down… and one monster face down!" The cards appeared on his field as Dimitri then played another card as three swords of light pierced the ground in front of Valon. "I'll also activate Swords of Revealing Light and end my turn!"

Swords of Revealing Light
Normal Spell
After this card's activation, it remains on the field, but you must destroy it during the End Phase of your opponent's 3rd turn. When this card is activated: If your opponent controls a face-down monster, flip all monsters they control face-up. While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent's monsters cannot declare an attack.

Valon blinked and hummed as he drew his next card. Nodding, he just shrugged. "Alright. I'll play Graceful Charity." A familiar angelic glow appeared as Valon drew three cards and discarded two. "And with that, I'll end my turn."

Dimitri felt nervous at the nonchalant nature of Valon. However, he then grinned as he drew another card. "Alright! Time for me to call upon one of my friends! I flip my monster face up! Go Shadow Tamer!" As he said that, a regal looking blue haired girl appeared with red eyes, some markings on her face and wearing a white dress with red and gold accents. She also wore red leather thigh high boots, red leather gloves that went past her elbows with sharp gold elbow pads and two metal spike bracelets on both wrists.

Dimitri grinned as Shadow Tamer reached behind her back and pulled out a whip as she cracked it. "Now, Shadow Tamer has a fun effect. When flipped face up, she can take control of one Fiend Monster on your side of the field until the end phase!"

Shadow Tamer
Flip Monster – Level 3 – EARTH – Warrior
800 Attack / 700 Defence
(This card is always treated as an "Archfiend" card.) FLIP: Target 1 Fiend-Type monster your opponent controls; take control of that target until the End Phase.

Shadow Tamer gave a wicked smirk as she cracked her whip. "A fine toy to play with~" She then swung it around and launched the whip towards the fiend. Diskblade Rider would be wrapped around by the whip as the rider as his eyes glowed red before he drove over to Dimitri's side of the field.

Valon stopped in surprise. "Oh? This isn't that Zero Attack deck or whatever I've heard about."

"Nope! This is a brand-new deck! I call it… Charms of Change!" Dimitri pointed forward. "Now! Shadow Tamer! Attack directly!" The whip-user nodded with a smirk on her face as she slashed forward at Valon, who didn't even flinch.

Valon: 4000 – 800 = 3200

"And that's not all! Diskblade Rider! Attack directly as well!" The rider gave a nod as he revved up his motorcycle before rushing towards Valon, who once again didn't flinch as the rider slashed at by the monster.

Valon: 3200 – 1700 = 1500

Dimitri then pondered a bit before frowning. "…Crap. I can't do anything else. Oh well, I end my turn." As he did, the glow in Diskblade Rider's eye disappeared and dashed over to Valons side. But once he did, Dimitri noticed something strange. "…What the?"

On Valon's side of the field, there was a projector in the backrow showing what appeared to be a person's head. Valon just waved his hand nonchalantly. "Oh that? That's just my buddy. See, he and some of his friends, whenever they're in the graveyard, can special summon themselves as continuous traps" He then drew his card and smiled. "But I can bring him out. I activate my spell card… Vision Release." A shadowy portal appeared on Valon's side of the field as it slowly moved to cover the projector. "Put simply… this card lets me special summon my buddy in my spell and trap zone. So come on out Vision HERO Minimum Ray!"

A fist extended out of the shadow as a green armoured man with a glowing yellow eye, glow on his arms, and similar glowing circles on his elbows. "Now, my buddy Ray here, when special summoned from the spell and trap zone? Can destroy one level four or lower monster on your side of the field. So… sorry Shadow Tamer but you gotta go."

Minimum Ray's eye started to glow as he jumped into the air and fired out a yellow beam of energy, striking Shadow Tamer as she screamed and shattered into pieces. Dimitri stared with wide eyes as wind blew past him. All the while, Minimum Ray landed in the traditional superhero landing pose.

Vision Release

If this card is Special Summoned from the Spell & Trap Zone: You can destroy 1 Level 4 or lower monster your opponent controls. You can only use each effect of "Vision HERO Minimum Ray" once per turn.

"Vision… HEROes?" Dimitri blinked in surprise. "Well damn. You snuck him into your graveyard with Graceful Charity."

Valon nodded with a grin. "Yep. And considering you've used Ojamagic with Graceful Charity before… you understand right? How in duel monsters you have to use everything to your advantage."

The professor then looked at his cards before nodding with a grin. "Alright. I'll place two cards face-down and end my turn. But before I do, I have something to say to you." His eyes sharpened a bit as he had a grin on his face, all while two face-down cards appeared in his spell and trap zone, filling it completely. "You have this turn to finish me off before I retaliate and win the duel."

This made Dimitri stop and look in slight shock as he gulped. He could tell this wasn't a threat but rather a promise. "Alright… Draw!" Drawing his card, he looked at the card before his smiled widened. "Okay. I activate the equip card Scroll of Bewitchment and equip it to Diskblade Rider!" A colourful scroll would launch out and wrap itself around Diskblade Rider. Once the scroll unwrapped and simply stuck to one part of the bike, the once vibrant blue of the armour and bike was now a metallic silver while their green skin was now a dark brown. "Now, while this equip is up, Diskblade Rider is now an EARTH monster!

Dimitri grinned. "Now, I'll set one monster face down and then activate Book of Taiyou!"

A monster appeared on Dimitri's side of the field facedown as a large orange book. As the book flipped open, the monster on Dimitri's field flipped up to reveal Aussa as she gave a big grin with a wave. "Hey!"

"And with this, Aussa the Earth Charmer's effect activates." Aussa stood up as her staff glowed and Diskrider would gain a brown glow before riding over to Dimitri's side of the field. "As long as she remains on the field, your EARTH monster stays on my side of the field."

Valon hummed as he looked at Dimitri for a moment. "Considering this gave you two monsters to work with? You drew something special."

"That's right! First, I'll activate Double Summon!" A flash of lightning struck the field as a large summoning circle appeared at the feet of Dimitri's monsters.

Double Summon
Normal Spell
You can conduct 2 Normal Summons/Sets this turn, not just 1.

"And now, I'll be sacrificing Diskblade Rider and Aussa to bring forth the powerful… Brain Crusher!" The two monsters disappeared in a swirl of wind and darkness as an insectoid like screech could be heard. The wind and darkness grew larger and larger as a rainbow-like insect claw shot out of it. Then another claw. Then two more.

The darkness and wind disappeared as Valon would see a third set of claws, a large thorax, four massive wings, and a strange insectoid head that let out a massive screech that sent a shockwave… all while Valon stood nonchalantly.

Brain Crusher
Effect Monster – Level 7 – DARK – Insect
2400 Attack / 1500 Defence
Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle and sent it to the GY this turn while you controlled it: You can target 1 of those destroyed monsters in the GY; Special Summon that target.

Valon let out an impressed whistle. "Damn. Going to need a lot of Insect Killer to get rid of that bug."

"Yep. Brain Crusher is one tough bug!" Dimitri pointed forward. "And now it's time for his meal! Brain Crusher! Attack Minimum Ray!"

The insect let out a large roar as it started to trample forward loudly. Minimum Ray could only look up before the monster lunged at him. And Dimitri and Valon watched as Brain Crusher rag-dolled the hero before throwing him into the air and catching it with it's mouth, slowly eating the hero.

Dimitri couldn't help but grimace a bit. "Okay… that… was actually kind of disturbing." Brain Crusher, once finished it's meal, burped and shot a blob of insectoid acid at Valon who got splashed by it. Dimitri winced once more. "And that is not helping."

Brain Crusher: 2400 Attack / 1500 Defence

Vision HERO Minimum Ray: 1200 Attack / 700 Defence

...

Valon: 1500 – 1200 = 300

Dimitri groaned and shook his head. "Well, I can't do anything else. So I'm going end my turn. However, during the end phase, if I destroyed one of your monster with Brain Crusher? I can special summon it from the graveyard onto my side of the field."

Brain Crusher let out a small roar as movement could be seen by it's thorax… when a figure would be spat out of an exit. Dimitri stared deadpan as he watched a slightly rusted and beat up Minimum Ray stand up with his glowing yellow eye now a pitch-dark red. "You know? I should just expect this. Anyways, it's now your turn-"

"Not so fast kiddo."

Dimitri stopped as Valon gave a slow clap. "You did good kiddo. But now, time is up. Before you end your turn, I activate the spell card Double Cyclone." Suddenly, two large cyclones appeared, one pink and the other yellow. "I can choose one card in your spell and trap card zone to destroy at the cost of destroying one of mine. So, say goodbye to your sword." The two cyclones swirled into the air as the yellow cyclone destroyed all the light swords on the field.

Double Cyclone
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 Spell/Trap you control and 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy them.

"…But that means you have to destroy one of your own-" Dimitri stopped as he blinked before his eyes widened. "Oh no."

Valon smirked and gave a small chuckle. "Seems you caught up. That's right. I'm destroying my own card." The pink cyclone hit one of Valon's cards as he grinned. "And because this monster set as a spell card was destroyed during my opponent's turn, I can special summon it to the field. So come on out Artifact Beagalltach."

As Valon finished saying that, a short mechanical blade with a wide guard flipped and appeared, floating in the air as vein-like lines on the sword started to glow red. Suddenly, a red male spirit with dreadlocks appeared and grabbed the blade.

Artifact Beagalltach
Effect Monster – Level 5 – LIGHT – Fairy
1400 Attack / 2100 Defence
You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Zone as a Spell Card. During your opponent's turn, if this Set card in the Spell & Trap Zone is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard: Special Summon it. If this card is Special Summoned during your opponent's turn: Destroy up to 2 Set cards you control (min. 1). You can only use this effect of "Artifact Beagalltach" once per turn.

Valon pointed to the blade with his thumb and a smirk. "But wait, there's more. Since Beagalltach was special summoned on my opponent's turn, he can mix things up and destroy up to two set cards I control on my side of the field. However, I'm only going to be destroying one."

Dimitri watched as the red spirit of Beagalltach raised the blade up into the air and with a roar, a red beam of light shot out and targeted one of Valon's cards. Then, just like before, another blade rose up only this one was longer and thinner. "And thanks to being destroyed and sent to the graveyard, we have a new artifact joining." The new sword glowed blue as a blue spiky haired spirit appeared and grabbed his weapon. "Say hello to Moralltach!"

Artifact Moralltach
Effect Monster – Level 5 – LIGHT – Fairy
2100 Attack / 1400 Defence

If this card is Special Summoned during your opponent's turn: You can destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls.

"And when Moralltach is special summoned on my opponent's turn, he can destroy one face-up card my opponent controls… so say goodbye to Brain Crusher." Moralltach's blade would glow more and more as the spirit rushed forward towards the massive insect monster. With a jump into the air and a spinning slash forward, Moralltach cut Brain Crusher directly down the middle as the monster split in two before shattering into shards.

Valon then grinned. "And to make sure no possible mistakes, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face-down card in your spell or trap zone." Another vortex appeared and destroyed Dimitri's last back-up.

Mystical Space Typhoon
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; destroy that target.

Dimitri just stared at the field absolutely gobsmacked as Valon had a simple smile on his face. "Well, it's my turn. Draw." Valon didn't even look at the card he drew and instead looked at the insectoid infected Minimum Ray with a nod. "Time to save my pal. Battle phase start! Artifact Beagalltach, attack Minimum Ray!"

With a nod, the red spirit rushed forward, holding his blade tightly as he slashed Minimum Ray across his chest, cleaving him in half as the monster shattered into particles.

Artifact Beagalltach: 1400 Attack / 2100 Defence

Vision HERO Minimum Ray: 1200 Attack / 700 Defence

...

Dimitri: 4000 – 200 = 3800

Valon then pointed forward. "The field is open! Moralltach, attack directly!" As Beagalltach jumped back to Valon's side, Moralltach rushed underneath the jump towards Dimitri as the blue spirit slashed at Dimitri.

Dimitri: 3800 – 2100 = 1700

Dimitri groaned but stood his ground. "W-Well… that hurt. But you're out of monsters now."

"You're right. I'm out of monsters. At least until I play my final card." He said pointing to the last facedown card on his side of the field as it flips up. "I activate Artifacts Unleashed!" Suddenly, the cores of the swords of Moralltach and Beagalltach started to glow and flicker rapidly as the blades of the swords shattered.

Artifacts Unleashed [GX]
Quick-Play Spell
Target 2 "Artifact" monsters you control; immediately after this effect resolves, Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster using those 2 monsters only, also for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, monsters you control cannot attack, except "Artifact" monsters. If this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can reveal 1 Level 5 LIGHT monster from your hand; draw 1 card.

"With this, I can choose two Artifacts on the field and fuse them into one! However, for the rest of the turn, only Artifact monsters can attack… not a problem since they're the only ones on the field! Therefore, I summon Artifact Durendal!" The pieces of the two blades started to mix into one as the blue and red spirit started to merge. Long spiky blue hair, a red mask over the face as well as a pair of blue horns that red tipped… The pieces finally combined into one massive blade as the mixed spirit grabbed it. The two cores on the sword lit up as the lines on the blade glowed with red and blue light.

Artifact Durendal [GX]
Fusion Monster – Level 5 – LIGHT – Fairy
2400 Attack / 2100 Defence
"Artifact Moralltach" "Artifact Beagalltach"
Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can activate 1 of these effects.
When a monster effect is activated on the field OR when a Normal Spell/Trap Card is activated: the activated effect becomes "Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls".
Each player with a hand shuffles their entire hand into the Deck, then draws the same number of cards they shuffled into the Deck.

Valon then pointed his hand forward. "Durendal! End this duel!" The spirit nodded as it rushed forward to Dimitri and gave a mighty slash, the energy sending him flying upwards a bit. And as the slash connected, Durendal gave a pose as he started to disappear away.

Dimitri: 1700 – 2400 = 0

VALON WINS!

As Dimitri landed on the ground, he could help but blink as he laughed. "Damn! You were sandbagging me!" Seeing the confused expression, Dimitri sat up and looked to the professor. "You had both those artifact cards down since turn one."

"Ohhhh… you mean letting you hit me before beating you in one turn?" Valon chuckled and gave a nod with a small smirk. "Sort of? Like I said kiddo, you have to use everything to your advantage. That includes your opponent's turn." He then walked forward and held a hand out for Dimitri to grab. "You also got to learn pacing. In case you forgot, it wasn't until those final turns I had all the cards. If I jumped the gun too early, then you could turn things around."

"So, the idea is to find pacing even if the other can't see it?" Dimitri said with some curiosity as he took the extended-out hand.

Valon smirked and pulled Dimitri up to his feet. "Nailed it kiddo. Pacing is key in duels. You give an inch; the opponent can go a mile." He put his hands in his pockets with a grin. "During the duel, you jumped the gun. Went for damage while the swords were up but you weren't prepared to deal with a counter attack."

"I'll keep that in mind." Dimitri said as he clenched his fist a bit.

However, Valon just patted him on the back. "You did well, so lighten up. Now, let's get to that dorm and wrap this up, shall we?" And with that, the two would continue their trek.

Approaching the location, Dimitri got a better look of the dorm then he did last night. It was truly a wreck of a building, and it gave off an aura that made Dimitri and all his spirits hesitant to approach. But, for SDB Duel Attorneys, Dimitri must press on.

However, entering the abandoned dorm, it just made it worse as they could directly feel the dark energy of this place more. The only spirit out now was Spirit of the Breeze as she frowned. "I… don't like this place."

"Yeah." Dimitri nodded with a frown as well. "All the dark energy. It's suffocating. Let's try to get through this and get out quickly."

Valon raised a brow at his student who seemed to be talking to open air. "Hey kiddo. Who are you talking to?"

Dimitri paused before sighing. "My spirit partner."

"…Oh shit, really?" Valon blinked before he nodded with a grin. "Lucky. Apparently you need to find the right card to get that spirit partner. Still looking for mine one day, you know?"

This brought a smile to the Ra Yellow's face as he nodded. "Well, hopefully you can find them. I don't think I could imagine a life where I didn't have Spirit of the Breeze and the others with me."

"Awwwww… same here Dimitri." Spirit of the Breeze smiled before she stopped. "I think I sense something."

Dimitri stopped and turned to Spirit of the Breeze. "What is it?"

Spirit of the Breeze would start to float ahead as Dimitri followed, with Valon following behind him. As the group reached the area, they found a strange basement area full of ritual drawings, dark artifacts and within the middle of the floor… a single card rested.

Walking over, Dimitri frowned. "Is this a card?" He said as he picked it up and raised a brow to read it. He recognized it as Titan's card from the knowledge he had but he wasn't sure how it would be helpful.

Pandemonium
Field Spell
Neither player has to pay LP during the Standby Phase for "Archfiend" monsters. When an "Archfiend" monster is destroyed and sent to the GY, except by battle: Its owner can add 1 "Archfiend" monster from their Deck to their hand with a lower Level than the destroyed card.

Valon rubbed his chin curiously before grinning. "Well, we got your evidence." Seeing Dimitri's confused expression, Valon reached into his pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a barcode scanner. "Behold the Card Connector. It connects to the Kaiba Corp databanks to show the last information on a card. Observe~" Valon said as he pointed it at the Pandemonium card and scanning it.

PANDEMONIOUM- CODE 94585852
LAST REGISTER DUELIST- TITAN

"JACKPOT! That's exactly what we need!" Dimitri grinned as turned to Valon. "Where did you get something like that?"

"Kiddo, I built it." He then smirked as he pointed to himself. "And through your class with me? We're going to be building a lot of stuff like that."

Dimitri paused as two main ideas popped into his head. "…Like motorcycles that you can use to duel and holographic arenas that a duelist can interact with?"

"…" Valon stared at Dimitri for a moment before gaining a wide grin and patting him on the back. "Kiddo? We're going to get along very well." With their evidence collected, the new teacher and student would leave the dorm, discussing about the potential of Duel Runners and Solid Vision with Action Duels.

Belowski would be humming while looking at the VHS tape he was holding. "Well… that was nice." Honestly, dealing with the security guard was rather simple as he was gentle old man. Told Belowski how he wasn't feeling good and Dr. Crowler noticed this and requested that he take the night off.

Together, they looked at the security footage and sure enough, Titan snuck onto the island while an individual in a trench coat was leading them. The guard was apologizing for letting something like this happen, but Belowski calmed him down. Even suggested asking for more people to help guard the island so this never happened again.

And along with that, he gave Belowski the tape. Belowski then turned to Mokey Mokey with a grin. "Hey, we were able to talk to someone without them falling asleep. Though… he was still very calm- eh?"

Belowski stopped as he heard some annoyed voices talking back and forth near the girls dorm. Approaching the noise, Belowski approached to see Sadie looking annoyed in front of… Alexis' friends

Belowski walked up to Sadie and tapped her arm with a raised brow. "Is something wrong?"

"Ugh. Ask them." Sadie said with a tired expression. "They refuse to tell me where Alexis is, and we need her account of last night."

"Well sorry! But we're not saying anything!" Jasmine said with a glare and crossed arms as she stood tall. "I refuse to just sell my friend, who requested to not see anyone, out!"

Mindy, however, looked sheepish back and forth. "Jasmine? Maybe we should just talk it out? Sadie is nice and seems like she has a reason-"

Jasmine turned to Mindy with an annoyed look as the girl flinched a bit. "No way Mindy! I'm not backing down without a challenge!"

Belowski blinked before he plopped his fist into his palm as if a lightbulb went off. "Oh! Is that all?" Belowski smiled and pulled out his duel disk as he turned it on. "Well that's perfect for SDB Duel Attorneys."

Mindy couldn't help but tilt her head confused. "SDB? What does that stand for?"

"SDB? It stands for Surprise Duel Between." The three girls turned to Belowski as he pointed at Jasmine with a lazy grin. "And that between? Is between you and me. Let's settle this the way most things are settled around this island."

Sadie couldn't help but smirk a bit as she watched a look enter Belowski's eye. A look she's seen on Dimitri, getting ready for a show.

Belowski grinned widely. "Let's duel."

-TO BE CONTINUED-

Hello everyone! Void here!

And I hope you enjoyed this chapter dealing with the Titan situation! Well, at least the first chapter. Because next time? Things are going to be fun!

So, before we get into the actual chapter… surprise! I'm having Dimitri actually tell his friends the weird stuff going on! While I understand why in some stories, the point of this isn't to have some crazy secret and face everything alone. Also, I hope I'm playing this well as trying to figure out the balance between Dimitri and this reincarnated individual… I think I'm doing an alright job.

But yeah, Sadie and Belowski know Dimitri's weirdness and join the fray. And trust me that will be fun.

Also… SURPRISE! The mystery teacher from Chapter 2? The one running a brand-new tech class? Is Valon from Waking the Dragons!

Please don't ask me to write Cockney slang. I have no clue how to.

Valon, from how I'm writing him, has laid back a bit more. However, he's not just some throw away. I have a plan going forward but… we're currently following the timeline still.

As for his deck… OH BOY! What a fun time. See, Valon has, what I like to call "Anime-itis". Aka having a deck solely in the anime and a real pain for me to write about. So, I decided to change it up. And out of everything I found? Nothing fit as well as the Artifact cards. They fit the 'anime armour' style of his anime deck well. (But there's more too it! You'll have to wait to find out what I mean)

But we can't just have that, so I went with the theme… thus leading to the Rider monsters and Vision HEROes! The idea of using the spell and trap zone as another monster zone was fun along with his biker nature! Of course, with the Vision HERO archetype I chose to give him… Manga archetypes are trickier. While I could give Vision HEROes to Aster, Destiny HEROes fit him better. So, instead, Valon has them. (Again, more to it so you'll see~)

Finally, we have a bit of a cliffhanger for next chapter… Belowski is going to be dueling so stay tuned for that! Because we're still not done with SDB Duel Attorneys!

From this, we move onto my new favourite segment: Why did Void do these things?

Starting off… Artifact Durendal being a fusion monster! As well as the slightly changed effects!

Look, I said I wanted to not use Synchro, XYZ or Link. And truthfully, I'm avoiding using that. The problem is that sometimes I find a fun archetype I want to use and it's having some key cards as these cards. So this got me thinking. Do I go back and change my thoughts and add in these cards?

Or do I do what I did… which is adapting the card to GX!

So, from this point onwards, I'm going to changing any Synchro, XYZ and Link monsters into fusions. What card that fusion needs will depend. Like, for Durendal, it is literally a combination of Beagalltach and Moralltach. Which makes them the perfect targets.

I'm not going to do this for EVERY archetype. Especially those with like… 15 different synchro monsters (looking at you Blackwings). But something like this? It feels fun!

But this also raises another question. Should I try and make original cards for this story? I'm not too sure as I want to stick with existing cards… but the Artifacts would be fun to work with. Mainly how there's 12 main ones and with Durendal being a fusion of Beagalltach and Moralltach, maybe there should be others like it? Who knows. Let me know what you think.

Either way, I hope you enjoy this little twist of mine. I plan to do more twists like this when I feel the time is right.

Speaking of archetypes, this leads us back to the archetype conversation again.

First of, thank you for all the suggestions about it. I've looked over all the comments and two of them stood out… which went towards my final decision with archetypes.

Firstly was Digi626, who suggested taking an archetype but expanding out for the themes. Which… is actually what I've done unknowingly. For Zero Hesitation, I used Ojamas as the base and then went from there. And with this new deck, Charms of Change, I used the Charmers as a base and went from there.

Secondly was HolyMage Mouto, who suggested using archetypes to make more serious decks for high-stakes duels. While I don't plan to have many, the idea of a more serious deck DOES appeal to me as it allows me to have a more intense duel (not evil and going to die but still "Oh, there are some stakes")

So… my thought process became this. For archetypes… I will try to use maybe one or two as a base and then expand out to fit the character more. For Valon in this chapter, it started with Artifacts and then grew to Vision heroes.

I plan to work more with it before… my big plan… but yeah.

So yeah! Thank you for the comments on that. Really helped me sort out my thoughts about sticking to the 'fun deck ideas' aspect of the story while giving myself more to work with.

Additionally, with decks, I want to discuss in detail my plan moving forward.

...WELL THIS IS OUTDATED! So instead, if you're reading this, keep an eye out for when I post the next part.

I'll explain my deck plans next time.

And now to wrap this chapter up, it's time for audience participation!

So, I'll be honest. Making decks are hard. Mainly because I don't want to repeat decks or styles of other duelists. More specifically, the other characters have one deck and that's it compared to Dimitri… meaning I have to settle on a deck for good.

Belowski? I actually have a deck set up and a fun one at that. One that you'll all see next chapter! So I hope you will enjoy that when I get to that part.

Sadie however…

Okay. So I've struggled with Sadie a bit. I was thinking of going similar to her game decks with burn… but I don't want to solely go burn deck? I wanna make something new and original for her? Right now, I'm running blind and trying to figure it out. So… if anyone has any fun suggestions for archetypes or honestly cards that would fit Sadie? Let me know with your comments and PMs!

But… that's all for now! Until next time! See you all later!
