Ness told Sonic and the hedgehog invited Lucas in. The five of them started playing games together. They were having a blast. Hours went by and they all decided to stop playing for now.

Ness sat back on his chair and stretched his limbs. Well, he didn't get to play with Nate, but he got to play with his other friends. Although, it is a bit worrying. What happened to his clone?

Tracy: "Relax. He's fine. He's sleeping."
Ness: "What? That's odd."
Tracy: "He looked exhausted today."
Ness: "Oh."
Tracy: "Is that the only reason why you called?"
Ness: "Uh, n-no."
Tracy: "Ok, so that's a lie."
Ness: *Breathes in* "Hi, how are you doing?"
Tracy: "Too late for that."

Wow. She hung up on him. He doesn't blame her. The way he went about it was rude. They haven't talked in a while and the one time he initiates, it's about Nate. God, why is he such a dick? He needs to call his family more.
He changed his clothes to comfy ones and laid on his bed. Oh Nate. Hopefully that guy isn't working too hard. He wondered if Nate's job is worse than his. So far, Ness didn't like his job. He has to work with Leaf of all people and he keeps working at the baby department. A fucking Cleffa beat him up. A CLEFFA! WHAT THE FUCK! He became one with the Universe and a Cleffa of all things gave him a hard time.
Lucky: "Espeon."
Lucky jumped on his stomach and curled up in a ball. He patted the Pokemon until they both fell into a deep slumber.
The Next Day…
Ness woke up and did his daily routine. Brushing his teeth, changing his clothes, feeding Lucky, and then stepping out to go to the food court.
He went to a pizza vendor and ordered a bacon breakfast pizza for himself. His paycheck finally went through, so for once he was able to afford something and have money left over.
As he was eating, he took out his phone to scroll through social media. He saw that Tina posted a new picture of herself. He grinned and liked the post. He continued scrolling through and saw pictures of Leaf's Pokemon.
Oh Leaf. He's trying to get along with her, but she won't let him. It's so painfully awkward. Oh no, speaking of awkwardness, he works later today. Hopefully she's not there. Although, if they keep seeing each other, maybe she won't mind him as much?
After eating his breakfast pizza, he got up and decided to go on a short walk with Lucky. He took Lucky around the garden. He didn't mean to come here. This place is cursed because of Mario, but here he is.
He wandered around until he saw Peach sitting on a bench. Her eyes brightened and she waved at him. He waved back and was going to continue on with his walk, but she walked up to him and offered him to sit next to her. He didn't want to, but agreed anyway.
Peach: "Hi~"
Ness: "Uh, hey."
Lucky: "Espii!"
The Pokemon jumped onto Peach's lap. The Princess was happy and gave him lots of kisses and pats.
Peach: "Aww, who's this little guy?"
Ness: "Y-you don't recognize him?"
Peach: "Huh? Have me and this cutie met before?"
He wondered if Mario ever told her that he had Pokemon. The plumber probably kept that a secret too. Also, if Lucky knew her, he probably wouldn't be all over here like this.
Ness: "Oh, sorry. I thought you two met. His name is Lucky."
Peach: "Aww! Since when did you become a Pokemon Trainer?"
Ness: (Since your psychotic boyfriend tried to kill me with one!) "Oh, uh, about a month ago."
Peach: "That's so you~"
Ness: "You think?"
Peach: "You do look like a Pokemon Trainer afterall."
Ness: "Haha…"
Peach: "I bet you get that a lot, don't you?"
Ness: "Yeah."
Peach: "So how's our favorite hero, Ness?"
Ness: "I'm not really a hero."
Peach: "You saved us from Mario. Of course you are."
Ness: "Well, that was mainly Kirby."
Peach: "It was you too! The Hands said it was you, Kirby, Little Mac, Sonic, Kuwa… Uh… The orange one, a human, and I forgot the last person."
Ness: "My clone technically."
Peach: "Oh right! Your adorable clone."
Ness: "I wouldn't call him adorable."
Peach: "Aww, but he got these cute chubby cheeks like you~" *pinches Ness's cheek*
Ness: "Ah! H-hey."
Peach: "I'm teasing~"
Ness: "Haha… Anyway, how are you taking the whole Mario situation?"
Peach: "Oh…"
Ness: "U-unless you don't want to talk about it! S-sorry."
Peach: "No, you're good. As you know, he and I broke up."
Ness: "I'm sorry."
Peach: "Don't be. You're the victim. We all were. I just had no idea that my sweet Mario would do such an evil thing."
Ness: "Neither did I."
Peach: "I've known him for so long, yet I was too dumb to realize his flaws."
Ness: "You mean his psychopathy?"
Peach: "..."
Ness: "S-sorry."
Peach: "Yes, his psychopathy."
Ness: "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude."
Peach: "It's ok. He did kidnap you afterall. I understand that you're still angry."
Ness: "Yeah… But, the worst part is, I can't yell at him or give him a piece of my mind. He got factory reset. He doesn't remember a thing."
Peach: "I know. He's not taking our breakup well and I can't even give him the real reason why."
Ness: "It's frustrating."
Peach: "Tell me about it…"
Ness: "I'm sorry about the whole Mario situation. I really am."
Peach: "I just want to know what went wrong."
Ness: "Same."
Peach: "Was he always like this, or did something or someone changed him without anyone else knowing?"
Ness: "I never thought about that before."
Peach: "I just want to understand."
Ness: "You and me both."
Tears started to fall from the princess's eyes. He reached in his rucksack and gave her tissues.
Peach: "Thank you." *Sniffs*
Ness: "No problem."
Peach: "I know I'm not allowed to talk to him about what he did because it might spike his memories, but a part of me wants to get close to him again."
Ness: "What? Why?"
Peach: "I know he's a psycho, but deep inside I still love him. He's suffering right now. People have been ignoring him and giving him the stink eye. He has no idea why, plus I broke up with him."
Ness: (Good! He fucking deserves it! That piece of shit.)
Peach: "I want to be there for him, so he's not alone."
Ness: "That's a terrible idea!"
Peach: "Why would you say that?"
Ness: "Well, because… Because of what he did!"
Peach: "I know, but think about his point of view."
Ness: "What about his point of view? He fucking kidnapped me!"
Peach: "Shh! Not so loud. What if he's around?"
Ness: "You're right. Sorry."
Peach: "I know you're upset, but it hurts to see him sad and alone like this."
Ness: (Fucking Peach, man. How can she forgive what he's done? Is she that stupid?) "..."
Peach: "I think I'm going to at least try to befriend him."
Ness: "Are you sure that's a good idea? What if-
Peach: "No one deserves to be alone."
Ness: "So you're getting back with him?"
Peach: "No, but I do want to be his friend."
Ness: "But you're still in love. That's not healthy."
Peach: "I won't get back with him."
Ness: "How can you be so sure?"
Peach: "Most people think I'm dumb and a hopeless romantic, but not this time. I just want to make sure he's ok. He might fall down a dark path."
Ness: "I don't think you're dumb, it's just that… Um…"
Peach: "Listen, I get it. Not many people think highly of me. However, I've been thinking. If I befriend him, I get to learn more about him. This time I'm not his girlfriend. I might be able to find out what went wrong."
Ness: "I guess."
Peach: "Don't worry, everything will be ok."
Ness: "Peach, no offense but that's-
His work alarm went off. Dammit! What poor timing.
Peach: "Oh! Looks like you have something to do."
Peach stood up.
Peach: "I have tea time with Daisy soon anyway. Thanks for letting me vent."
With that she left. He cursed himself. What she's about to do is extremely dangerous. Her plan has got to be the dumbest plan he's ever heard. Caring for Mario? She very well might slip up and say shit that will get the deranged plumber to remember.
He wanted to go find her and try to talk her out of it, but he didn't want to be late for work. He'll convince her later. He made it to the daycare and saw Leaf's Squirtle.
Squirtle: "Squirtle!" (You bitch!)
Her Squirtle tried using skull bash on him, but he easily dodged.
Ness: "C'mon, Squirtle, it's me. I'm not an enemy."
Squirtle: "Squirtle! Squirt!" (You made my owner cry!)
Ness: "I'm sorry, I don't understand Pokemon."
Squirtle: "Squirt!" (Die!)
Squirtle charged up his water gun, but Lucky came out of the ball and used Psychic on the blue turtle.
Squirtle: "Squirtle!" (Ouch! My head!)
Lucky: "Espii…" (Back off, you little shit, or else…)
