The next day, schools finally reopened. At school, at lunch, I said, "Mary Anne and I are going to bring up an idea to you girls at the club meeting."
"Okay," said Kristy.
Later, Mary Anne and I arrived before 5:15 pm. Kayla and Kaylee showed up with us. They're the members of the BSC. Kayla's the co-secretary and Kaylee takes phone calls while being an extra alternate officer.
"Any new businesses?" asked Kristy.
"We do," said Mary Anne.
Then, we announced about having the Christmas Eve party.
"Sweet," said Claudia.
"And, we decided to invite your families if they're not busy," I said.
"Okay," said Stacey.
"Count us in," said Kayla.
"I'll ask my parents and Janine after the meeting when I get a chance," said Claudia.
"Maybe we can add a sleepover the night before the Christmas party," I said.
"Okay," said Kristy.
"I like that thought," said Kayla.
"And, you guys leave with your families after the party," said Mary Anne.
"Sounds good," said Kaylee.
We talked about it in between phone calls and job assignments. After the meeting, at dinner, Mary Anne said, "The girls are interested in coming to the party and they'll check with their families."
"Good," said Mom.
"Do you mind if we have a sleep over the night before the party?" I asked.
"And, the girls can leave with their parents after the party," added Mary Anne. "All the girls loved that idea."
"That's fine by us," said Richard.
After dinner, after we helped clean up, Mary Anne and I made a list about making plans for the party.
"We'll have to make stuff that Stacey can eat," said Mary Anne.
"Oh, yeah. Their families can always make something to bring to the party," I said.
"That would be a good idea," said Mary Anne.
"We can tell them at the next meeting," I said.
"The rest of us can handle the desserts," said Mary Anne.
"Sounds good," I said.
"We'll figure something out," said Mary Anne. "Before we say anything, we can go see what Dad and Sharon says."
That's what we did and they actually approved that the girls can have their families bring stuff to the party.
"We figured we'd ask before we say anything to the girls," said Mary Anne.
"That's fine," said Richard.
"The girls and I can just handle the desserts," said Mary Anne.
"Okay," said Mom.
"That's a great idea," said Richard.
Later, we decided to talk to the girls about the desserts as well. We can't wait to get started. We continued to talk about it after we changed up. We kept talking until it was time for bed.
