RAW is WAR: 6/4/1998

RAW is WAR was live at the Oncenter War Memorial Arena in Syracuse, New York. At the start of the show, Vince McMahon came out and gave an update on Stone Cold Steve Austin after his arrest last week on RAW for hitting the Stunner on Vince. He reveals Austin was released from jail the very same night as his arrest. Since last Monday, Vince feels Austin has learned his lesson and he learned it the hard way. No longer will he be the beer-swilling, trash-talking, blue-collar Stone Cold. Oh no, he has been reformed! Vince just wants the fans to have a future WWF Champion everyone can be proud of. Tonight, Vince says they will see a *new and improved* Stone Cold Steve Austin. He guarantees it or the Syracuse crowd will get their money back.

He also reveals that tonight will see the contract signing for The Bladewolf vs Stone Cold Steve Austin at Unforgiven for the WWF Championship, to make the match official.

Now, the show has entered the Warzone, and Vince comes out to the ring with two policemen for the contract signing. In the ring is a table, with the contract laid on it along with a pen. Vince enters the ring with his police escort and grabs a microphone as the fans boo him heavily.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the official contract signing for the WWF Championship match at Unforgiven between the Bladewolf and Stone Cold Steve Austin." Vince introduced, but the crowd was still booing him. "First off, let's introduce the reigning World Wrestling Federation Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!"

OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the old WWF Championship around his waist. He makes his way down the ramp and gets onto the ring apron, stepping over the top rope and facing down Vince and his police escort.

After a few seconds, he walks around the table, taking the title off from around his waist, placing it on his right shoulder as his theme dies down and the lights return to normal. Vince nodded at him, then a big smile comes onto his face.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, may I present to you, the new and improved... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!" Vince pointed to the stage.

Austin's theme hits and out comes the Texas Rattlesnake, dressed in a suit, a white shirt, red tie. He looked like he had truly gone corporate. Bladewolf kept his stare on Austin as he watched the 'new and improved' Texas Rattlesnake enter the ring and shake hands with Vince before standing across from him on the other side of the table.

"Now gentlemen, before we get started, I'd like to say a few words." Vince said, turning to Austin. "Mr. Austin, I... I'm overwhelmed. I believe this is the first step-tonight is the very first step in you becoming the greatest future WWF Champion of all time. This is one small step for Steve Austin, one giant leap for the World Wrestling Federation. And I know that... this hasn't been easy. And I know that this is gonna take a lot of hard work..." Vince trailed off at the loudness of the fans' chants.

'Austin! Austin! Austin!'

"Can I have your attention please?!" Vince snapped at them before turning to Austin. "Mr. Austin, I'd like to thank you because, obviously this is a step in the right direction, but you will recall the meetings that we've had and we talked about attire, we talked about full attire."

Austin nods. "Right, we talked about everything."

"Well, we talked about the way you look, and we talked about from head to toe, Mr. Austin." Vince said.

"Well, this is exactly what you told me to wear, I guess this is what you want me to look like." Austin said.

Vince nodded. "And I appreciate the effort, but this is a work in progress, obviously. And that's alright with me, but, your foot attire... where are the guchi shoes, Mr. Austin?"

Austin shrugged. "Well, the damn things were a little too tight so I just put on my wrestling boots, the damn things were hurting my feet, what do you want me to do? I'm trying real hard. I'm trying real hard to help you out here."

"And, again, I'm trying to compromise as well." Vince pointed out. "My effort is not to break your spirit, only to mold it, to bend it just a little bit. But.." He takes Austin's hat off, much to the annoyance of the fans as they booed. "This... this is a very nice hat, it just doesn't go well with the suit." He tosses the hat into the crowd.

Austin stared at Vince. "That was a damn good help."

Vince nodded. "I understand that, it just didn't go well with the suit. Nonetheless, ladies and gentlemen, considering the way Stone Cold Steve Austin looks and his effort, give it up, ladies and gentlemen, for this extraordinary attire, the new and improved Stone Cold Steve Austin and the new look!"

The crowd just booed. The Bladewolf was slowly shaking his head at the sight as he watched what was unfolding in front of him.

"Now then, time to sign the contract." Vince slid the contract forward. "Once it is done, it will be official at Unforgiven April 26th, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Bladewolf for the World wrestling Federation Championship! Bladewolf, seeing as you are the Champion, you will sign first." He slid the contract over to the man.

Bladewolf picked the contract up along with the pen and signed it in seconds, then dropped it on the table while staring at Austin.

"Steve." Vince picked up, then handed the contract to Austin who signed it and handed it back to Vince. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it is now official. At Unforgiven, April 26th, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Bladewolf with the WWF Title on the line!"

"I'll see you at Unforgoven, Bladewolf. You can count on that." Austin promised. The Bladewolf merely nodded before he took his title and left the ring. Once he did, Austin revealed his true colors as he tore the suit off, jimmy taps Vince and takes a picture of him doubled over holding his balls for laughs.

Later,

After RAW came back from the commercial break following the Ken Shamrock vs Marc Mero match, the gong of the Undertaker tolls and the Phenom's theme plays to a loud positive reaction from the fans.

"The Phenom is about to join us for the first time since WrestleMania." JR said. "And I understand that, via satellite, we're also going to be hearing from Kane and Paul Bearer. at some point later tonight."

Soon, the Undertaker walks out with the Bladewolf at his side, the latter with the WWF Championship back around his waist. For the first time, fans are witnessing the two walk step-for step, side-by-side.

"Will you listen to the ovation for the Prince of Darkness, the Phenom himself, the Undertaker, accompanied by his little brother, the Bladewolf." JR said.

Jerry shook his head. "I'm still surprised he's even able to walk after the beating that I saw. You saw it too, JR! The beating that Kane delivered onto the Undertaker."

"Nobody has ever physically assaulted the Undertaker like Kane did at WrestleMania." JR agreed.

The brothers make a methodical walk to the ring, with the Undertaker going up the steps while the Bladewolf climbed onto the ring apron. He waited until the Undertaker had raised the lights to normal before stepping in over the top rope, the Lord of Darkness soon joining him as Kevin Kelly stood near.

"Undertaker, at WrestleMania 14, your body absorbed a horrific amount of punishment, when you faced your brother Kane." Kevin began. The Undertaker stared ahead as the Bladewolf stood next to him, staring around. "On April 26th at Unforgiven, would your body be able to go through that punishment one more time?"

"First things. What happened at WrestleMania is Kane found out that I am not just his brother, but I am the Lord of Darkness." The Undertaker stated, staring into the camera as if he could see Kane right through it.

"That was a slobber knocker." JR nodded.

Jerry snorted. "That's debatable." He disagreed.

"And Kane, as big and as strong as you are, you did give me a beating like no one else ever has." The Undertaker continued. "But what you have to realize is that the soul powers the body. Your soul is unpure and mine is, and you were defeated."

"What about this Inferno match we've been hearing about?" Jerry questioned.

"Paul Bearer issued a challenge right here last week." Kevin mentioned. "He spoke of a match at Unforgiven in which the ring will be surrounded by fire."

"Yeah, yeah, that's it." Jerry nodded.

"I can only imagine what that will entail. But I know that there are many that do not want you to accept Paul Bearer's challenge for Unforgiven." Kevin said.

The Undertaker shook his head slowly. "What we have are desperate men, resorting to desperate actions. But what you have to realize is, Kane, just like when we were children. I beat you at will. And whether there's fire around the ring, fire in the ring, fire on me. When it's all said and done at Unforgiven, when you're looking up at your brother and your body is set on fire, it will truly be the beginning of your eternal damnation."

"Bladewolf, care to comment on this situation between your older brothers as well as your match with Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Title?" Kevin asked, holding the microphone towards the masked Champion, who simply turned his head to regard him coldly.

"My youngest brother speaks, but chooses not to." The Undertaker spoke for him. "But he is prepared to fight Steve Austin and retain the title. And when he does, and after my business with Kane is settled, his next challenge will be me." The Bladewolf turned to look at his brother and slowly nodded his head, with fans cheering at a possible Undertaker vs Bladewolf match with the title on the line.

"the Undertaker vs the Bladewolf?" Jerry's eyes widened.

"That's gonna be a fight!" JR added.

Suddenly, the lights go out once again. "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise." Paul Bearer appears on the titantron, standing beside Kane at a cemetery, standing before a pair of tombstones. "Déjà vu, Undertaker. Remember? Just two weeks ago, right here on this very spot when you delivered your academy award winning performance, crying at the graveside of your poor dead parents. Yes Undertaker, the mother and father that you murdered. The mother and father that you sat out in a blaze of glory. Yes, Déjà vu, Undertaker. I will ensure that you die a slow agonizing death at In Your House: Unforgiven. First, my Kane will beat you senseless!"

Kane, who had a sledgehammer in hand, took it to his parents' tombstones, smashing them with no remorse while the Undertaker and the Bladewolf could only watch with growing anger and rage.

"He'll pound your body into the cold hard ground!" Paul Bearer said.

"That's his own mother and father's gravesite!" JR couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"And then, Deadman, the inferno. He will set you ablaze." Paul Bearer continued as Kane stops his assault on the graves to pick up gasoline and pour it over the tombstones.

"oh wait a minute..." JR said.

"What are they doing?" Jerry asked.

"This is going too far." JR shook his head with disgust.

"Oh yes he will. Oh Undertaker, then the icing on the cake, the fire, the hot fire. We will send you straight to hell." Paul Bearer said.

Taking a lit match from Paul Bearer, Kane tossed it onto the graves, setting them ablaze as Paul laughed manically.

"What?!" Jerry's eyes widened.

"Oh no." JR was disgusted. "He's... he's desecrating his own parents' graves!"

The Undertaker and the Bladewolf could not do anything except stare at the sight, with the Undertaker lowering in head in emotional agony while the Bladewolf stared with growing rage.

And that's it for this chapter, folks. I hope you all enjoyed it. Let me know what you think in the reviews.
