This chapter is a little short, but it felt right to end it off where I did. Enjoy!

Enter Eva
Murdoc could no longer feel the pain in his head. He couldn't feel the floor anymore either. Almost like he was floating...
Waking with a start, he suddenly found himself in an isolated space void of anyone or anything. The air appeared to be water, which would explain why he was suspended. He could breathe just fine despite the liquid atmosphere, but took a deep breath just to be sure.
Weird...
Murdoc allowed himself to descend then continued to gaze about, but was unable to see beyond 5 foot radius since a dense fog was surrounding the area. Underwater fog...? All he could see was the ground beneath him, which was made up of seashells and soft, illuminated sand.
"Must be dreaming, or something..." he thought aloud, watching as bubbles floated from his mouth and upwards until they disappeared in the distance.
"I see you're doing well."
Murdoc felt himself jump as he whirled around. He couldn't see anyone, but he knew he heard a voice from, well, somewhere?
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the fog behind him. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. How do you like this lovely little dimension I've made?"
Murdoc turned again and was stunned into silence. He honestly didn't know whether or not what he faced was even a person. While they had a humanoid shape, their features looked more like a sea creature. They had orange, veiny skin and unusually long arms with an octopus resting on each. And, it took him a little longer to realize that their head was actually a fishbowl full of familiar looking jellyfish, four eyes, a set of teeth, and a single starfish. Really the only human thing about them was their clothing, which had been a white and red t-shirt along with a pair of pale denim shorts and white shoes.
"Dimension?" Murdoc parroted as if heard the word for the first time in his life, resting his eyes on the solitary 'E' on their top rather than meeting their gaze. Is that what this is? "It's, um... foggy?"
"That's true," The mysterious creature laughed. "Unfortunately, I have to keep it that way. Your mind would break trying to fathom how vast this realm truly is."
"...I see. And, where exactly is this?"
"This is a world of my own fabrication, and because of that, it doesn't exactly have a location." They then hummed as if they were amused. "I've spent my time observing you from here."
"Just looks like the ocean to me..." He grumbled. "Hang on, what do you mean you've been observing me?" Murdoc silently wondered if he had any unfinished business that had been overlooked. If she wanted his soul, then she could either step in line or forget it. It was long gone anyway. "Who are you?"
"I am The Evangelist, but please call me Eva." Eva reached out her hand, which Murdoc took hesitantly in a less than firm shake.
"Murdoc Niccals."
"Yes, I know. It's nice for us to formally meet." Eva began to walk back in the direction she came from, parting a section of the fog to reveal two lounge chairs and a low table. She invited him to sit before taking a seat herself. "You see, I was created to represent the good in you."
Murdoc raised an eyebrow at this, but chose to remain silent.
"However, over time I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be any good in you. Like, at all." She stated flatly, petting one of her two octopi. "And, if there is, it has yet to be seen. I brought you here because I've been questioning my purpose, my very existence. Why do I represent something that seemingly doesn't exist?" Eva sighed. "I mean, no offense, but you're pretty evil sometimes, Murdoc. Even the 'nice' things you've done were for downright awful reasons, or your own personal gain. And, don't get me started on your recent endeavors-"
"Look, uh, Eva was it?" Murdoc interrupted, actually feeling somewhat offended. "I'm not sure what you want from me, but this is starting to feel like an intervention. Did you just bring me here to insult me, or is there something you actually need?"
"Yes, right. Sorry." Eva leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees, lacing her fingers whilst shifting her bowls contents. "I brought you here because I need you to do something nice."
