RAW is WAR: 5/10/1998
RAW is WAR was live at Breslin Arena in East Lansing, Michigan. Following the backstage segment between Michael Cole and Owen Hart, the next match is Kane vs Ken Shamrock. While Kane makes hie entrance, Vince McMahon is shown watching from his hospital bed.
Shamrock tries to stick and move to charley horse a leg, but Kane fires back on him with uppercuts. Kane catches a crossbody block and drops Shamrock over his knee. Shamrock tries to come back with a hurracanrana, but Kane counters with a powerbomb. Kane choke lifts Shamrock and drops him down to choke him in the ropes. This is a weird matchup for Shamrock who just turned heel. Shamrock elbows out of a chinlock only to run into a knee. Running elbow drop by Kane gets two. Shamrock again escapes and runs into a boot.
It was at this point in the match that the Undertaker and Bladewolf came out and made their way towards the ring, though nobody knew why they were out here except possibly supporting their brother.
Shamrock ducks a second big boot and clips the knee. Kane misses a corner charge. Shamrock works hard to take Kane off his feet. He delivers the Hurracanrana, but Kane pops up. Kane avoids the armbar takedown and clotheslines Shamrock down. As Kane goes up top, Taker climbs to the apron. Shamrock takes a swing at the Undertaker and as UT hits the floor, that causes Kane to get crotched up in the corner.
Bladewolf stood where he was, as still as a statue, motionless, not even moving towards the ring at the sight of his brother in trouble.
As Shamrock worked on Kane, Undertaker turned and began to leave when he noticed Bladewolf wasn't following him and turned to see the Intercontinental Champion was still standing where he was, watching.
Undertaker shouted for him, but Bladewolf didn't respond or show any indication that he heard his older brother. Undertaker shakes his head and walks off to the back as Kane takes a superlex from Shamrock, and Shamrock covers Kane for the win.
As Shamrock's theme plays, Bladewolf finally moves, grabbing a chair from underneath the ring. He slides into the ring, Shamrock unaware until he turns around... INTO A WICKED CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL!
Shamrock's theme cuts off as Bladewolf stares down at Shamrock, then drops the chair before he grabs Shamrock by the throat and pulls him to his feet. Shamrock is too dazed to fight back as Bladewolf moves him slightly, then lifts him up... AND CHOKESLAMS HIM ONTO THE CHAIR!
Shamrock archs his back in pain, yelling in agony before he lays there in pain. Bladewolf stares down at Shamrock, then flips his hair back as Kane comes to stand at his side. The two look at each other, then take their leave as Bladewolf's theme plays.
The cameras cut elsewhere for a small segment with Val Venis and Terri Runnels.
It's the main event, which is the Rock vs the Undertaker.
Taker goes right after the Rock to start. The jumping clothesline gets two. Hey look, here comes D'LO BROWN and MARK HENRY. Taker keeps an eye on them and the Rock clotheslines him out in front of them. Rock and Taker brawl at ringside as Taker gets whipped into the steps. Back inside, Rock starts laying the smackdown on Taker.
As this is going on, the crowd cheers when the Bladewolf and Kane walk out and make their way to ringside.
The Rock spots them and talks some smack to them, but then turns around into a Chokeslam by Taker. Meanwhile, D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry decide to leave the Rock behind while Kane & Bladewolf remain at ringside.
Taker covers Rock for two. Old School connects for another nearfall. Taker grabs a chinlock, but Rock fights up and hits a back suplex. Taker throws Rock to the floor for some guardrail action. Back in, the Undertaker continues to pound away on the Rock. He stops and stares at his brothers who stare right back.
Rock tries to come back with a sunset flip of all things for two. Taker runs down Rock for another nearfall. Rock punches back, but gets pulled into a clothesline. Rock finds an O'Connor roll for two. He knocks down the Undertaker for another nearfall himself. Big boot by Taker puts down the Rock and he gets another two-count.
Kane and Bladewolf continue just standing there staring at the match.
Taker tries Old School again, but Rock jerks Taker down.
There's a swinging neckbreaker on Taker for two. Rock gets away from a Tombstone Piledriver and delivers a Russian legsweep to set up the PEOPLE'S ELBOW! Knowing it's going to take more than that, he picks up Taker only to get nailed. Taker runs into an elbow in the corner. Rock inadvertently pulls Taker into ref Earl Hebner to send him crashing to the mat. Next thing you know, there's a double-KO.
Kane then moves, grabbing a chair from the timekeeper's area, but does nothing else.
Both Taker and Rock are back up. Rock reverses a whip into the ropes and... KANE DRILLS UNDERTAKER IN THE BACK WITH THE CHAIR! Undertaker staggers into Rock who hooks him up and... PLANTS HIM WITH THE ROCK BOTTOM! HE HOOKS THE LEGS!
Kane takes his leave as the Rock and the Undertaker are down, but Bladewolf remains where he is, just staring before he suddenly grabs the chair from where it laid on the floor. He slides into the ring, the Rock unaware of it. Undertaker was getting to his feet when the Rock turned to see Bladewolf with the chair, rearing it back before swinging. The Rock ducked... AND BLADEWOLF ENDS UP STRIKING THE UNDERTAKER IN THE SKULL WITH THE CHAIR!
Bladewolf looks down at brother, then the Rock turns him around to land some rights to the Intercontinental Champion, but Bladewolf nails a boot to the Rock's stomach, dropping the chair in the process. he then scoops the Rock up onto his shoulder, gets him into position upside down in front of him and... HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER ON THE CHAIR!
Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Undertaker and places him over the Rock before he leaves and makes his way to the back as the referee comes to and makes the count, giving Undertaker the victory.
RAW is WAR went off the air with Undertaker staring after Bladewolf, the same question on his mind as it was everybody else's; did Bladewolf hit the Undertaker with the chair on purpose or was it accident?
And that's it for this chapter, folks.
