RAW is WAR: 19/10/1998
RAW is WAR was live at Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ongoing match, which was actually the first match of the show, was Ken Shamrock vs X-Pac in a rematch from last week.
Shamrock BUM RUSHES THE SHOW and punishes X-Pac with kicks and suplexes. He grinds on a front facelock while two more security guys head down to ringside to escort Chyna away in handcuffs. Meanwhile, X-Pac fights back with spinning heel kicks, but runs into a powerslam by Shamrock for two. Shamrock baits him into a Bronco Buster and lets X-Pac land on the bottom buckle.
The crowd are on their feet when the Bladewolf storms towards the ring.
"Look who's here!" JR spots him.
"Oh no!" Jerry's eyes widened. "What's he doing out here?"
"Nobody knows how his mind works." JR shakes his head.
Bladewolf climbs onto the ring apron when Shamrock spots him and yells at him as he walks towards him... BUT BLADEWOLF GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT!
"He's got Shamrock!" Jerry exclaimed. "What is this all about?!"
Shamrock fights off Bladewolf's grip and grabs him, then to everyone's surprise... HE SUPLEXES HIM INTO THE RING!
"Oh my God!" Jerry's eyes widened in shock.
"Shamrock just suplexed the Bladewolf into the ring!" JR couldn't believe it as well.
Shamrock gets to his feet as Bladewolf rolls out of the ring, only for X=Pac to grab Shamrock and... HIT THE X-FACTOR!
"X-Factor by X-Pac!" JR shouts as X=Pac hooks the leg. "The cover!"
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
DX's theme plays as X-Pac celebrates his win. "Here is your winner... X-PAC!" Tony Chimel announces.
"The Bladewolf just cost Shamrock his match!" Jerry pointed. "What the hell was this all about? What's Bladewolf got against Shamrock?!"
"Bladewolf and Ken Shamrock have had their issues these past few weeks on HEAT." JR recalled. "And Ken Shamrock did win a tournament last week to determine the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship."
Bladewolf goes backstage as Shamrock seethes in the ring.
Following a backstage segment with Mankind and Vince McMahon, the Undertaker makes his way to the ring along with Paul Bearer. Everyone was wondering how and why the two could've reconicled after everything that has happened between them since Paul Bearer's betrayal of Undertaker at SummerSlam 1996.
as the Lord of Darkness stands in the ring, with a microphone in hand, he begins speaking. "As you can plainly see, there has been a reconciliation made. Brother Paul has come home to lead my Ministry of Darkness. And I'm sure, that there's those who can't understand, because they have no vision how I could align myself once more with such a despicable, evil, maniacal individual. Well if those aren't reasons enough, I don't guess I can explain it any better. What we have, is someone with vision. Someone who truly understands the power of the darkness. He allowed me to clear my head and refocus on what it is I am here for. Now what we have is a beginning of a new era. And we will unleash with our Ministry of Darkness a plague for which the World Wrestling Federation has never seen, nor will it be ever understood amongst those who do not relish in the darkness. So now those of you who do not declare shall be declared."
Undertaker hands the microphone to Paul Bearer. "Kane, I used you, boy. Ever since you were a little child, I took care of you like a pet, like a put dog on a leash. Just for special occasion. Yes, I used you - because you're stupid. You're weak. You can't even speak for yourself. You turned your back on me twice. The first time was eight weeks ago, the last time was last night, boy. You could never understand the darkness, Kane. That is why I'll never have any use for you again."
"He's your son for God's sakes, you rotund demon." JR insulted.
Undertaker is given the microphone again. "Bladewolf, I wish it did not come to this. But you left me no other choice. Yes, I had you under my control, to ensure your loyalty to me. You didn't even notice it, too invested in the feeling of being reunited with family. But lately, my control over you had been slipping. You started to turn against me, siding against me, always willing to stand by Kane's side. And for that, there is no place for you in my Ministry of Darkness. You will be what you've always been; a rabid wolf with no use to anyone. You know, brothers, I know there's a thought, that's been burning in your mind for years. You really wanna know what happened the day our parents perished in the fire? Well, listen and listen close: I set that fire!"
"What?" JR couldn't believe it.
"And I set it because, Kane, you were weak as a child and you are weak now. And Bladewolf, you were taken away before I could take you and raise you in darkness, but now you have become as weak as Kane. And we have no room for the weak. Only the strong shall survive."
Suddenly, Kane's theme played and the lights went out as it did.
"Wait a minute." JR said. "Business may pick up right here because that music indicates that Kane is here!"
The pyro exploded on the stage.
"I can't believe the Undertaker admitted he set the fire!" Jerry shook his head. "The fire that deformed his own brother and orphaned the Bladewolf!"
Kane soon comes out, pushing a big casket with him.
"Wait a minute, that's Kane and he's pushing a huge casket." JR said.
Kane's theme soon dies down and he grabs a microphone along with his electrolarynx, which he puts to his throat. "You and I... tonight... Casket match."
The crowd cheered at that as Undertaker stares at his brother.
"There's a challenge, apprantly. Kane challenging the Undertaker for a Casket match." JR said.
"He cut right to the chase. A man of a few words." Jerry said.
"And brother..." Kane continued. "You will... rest... in...peace."
Kane's theme played as the Big Red Machine went backstage and RAW cut to a commercial break.
Following a backstage segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin holding Vince McMahon hostage, the next match was The Bladewolf vs Val Venis. Venis was already in the ring, his theme dying down.
"Well, we're going to get the next match started, there you see Val Venis in the ring." JR said. "He will be taking on the Bladewolf tonight. And the Bladewolf cannot be in a very good mood after hearing what the Undertaker had to say earlier."
"Not in a good mood? JR, he's going to be in a very foul mood!" Jerry retorted.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf stood at the entrance and adjusted his right elbow pad before he made his way towards the ring.
"The following contest is schedule for one-fall with a 20-minute time limit. Making his way to the ring, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
"Less than 23 hours ago, the Bladewolf went to war with his brothers for the vacated WWF Title at Judgment Day." JR stated. "He did not walk away with the title on account of the Undertaker turning his back on him and realigning with Paul Bearer, as well as Austin counting all three men out."
"Right." Jerry nodded.
"We don't know what will be next for the Bladewolf, but I think he's gotta focus on the title he currently holds." JR pointed out.
The Bladewolf stops at the end of the ramp, staring directly at Venis before he walks forward, grabs the top rope and pulls himself up onto the ring apron before stepping foot over the top rope. Bladewolf stares at Venis as the lights return to normal, and Bladewolf's theme dies down.
He takes off his Intercontinental Championship, handing it to someone at ringside as the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Match is underway and-Venis!" JR exclaimed as Venis rushes Bladewolf, landing a right punch that barely fazed the Demon Wolf. Venis lands another, which Bladewolf no-sells. "Bladewolf no-selling Venis' punches!"
Venis continued with his series of rights and added in some lefts, all of which Bladewolf shrugged off before he dropped Venis with a big right uppercut that echoed, making several in the crowd flinch from the impact.
"Oh, what an uppercut." Jerry said, having flinched as well from hearing it.
Venis stumbles to his feet, and Bladewolf brings his forearm across Venis' back sending him stumbling into the corner. Bladewolf walks over and rams his elbow into the side of his head repeatedly, then lands some body shots, followed by a boot to the stomach, forcing Venis to sit in the corner.
"The Bladewolf beginning his dominance here." JR said.
Bladewolf presses his boot into Venis' throat and applies pressure, causing Venis to grunt and groan in pain as he tries kicking at Bladewolf's legs though is unable to do so. Bladewolf lets up for a split second before pressing his boot in again.
"Hey, Bladewolf let him go!" The referee got involved. "One! Two!"
"Bladewolf, just pushing that boot of his into Val Venis' neck." JR said. When the referee got to four, Bladewolf whirled on him which scared him back. "Referee wisely backing off. I don't think it's a good idea to try and test this man with the mood he's in."
Bladewolf turned and walked back over to Venis who was pulling himself up, and lands a big right hand to his forehead, then lands another right hand which staggers Venis. Bladewolf straightens him up then drives his elbow into the side of his head.
"you have to wonder if the Bladewolf is seeing Undertaker instead of Val Venis." Jerry said. "He's gotta be imagining all the things he's going to do to his big brother after finding out he set the fire that killed their parents."
"The Bladewolf is all action, no words, his actions speak louder than words." JR said.
Bladewolf Irish whips Venis into the opposing corner hard, scoops him up and hits a side slam. Bladewolf gets to his feet, flipping his hair out of his mask's eyeholes before grabbing Venis. He Irish whips him off the ropes and bends down for a back body drop only for Venis to stop and kick him, snapping him upright with a glare in his eyes.
"Oh no!" Jerry exclaimed.
"Bladewolf..." JR stopped as Bladewolf clobbers Venis, sending him down. "Boom! Right a right hand!"
Venis stumbles to his feet and into the corner, checking his mouth, before Bladewolf grabbed him by the throat and shoved him back against the turnbuckles. His grip tightened as he began to choke Venis, ignoring the referee telling him to stop before he began counting. Bladewolf broke the hold at four and whirled on the referee who quickly backed off again. Bladewolf turns around and continues choking Venis.
"Is he trying to get disqualified or something?" Jerry questioned.
"I don't-" JR stopped as he spotted someone coming down the ramp. "Wait a minute!"
It was Ken Shamrock, with a steel chair in hand. Bladewolf spotted him just as Shamrock slides into the ring, raising the chair... BUT BLADEWOLF BOOTS THE CHAIR RIGHT INTO SHAMROCK'S FACE!
"Oh!" Jerry flinched.
"Shamrock, getting that chair booted into his face by Bladewolf!" JR exclaimed as Shamrock rolls out of the ring when Venis rolls Bladewolf up. "Venis!"
"Woah!" Jerry exclaimed.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thre-!"
Bladewolf kicks out before three.
"But Bladewolf kicks out." JR said.
"That was a close one/" Jerry said.
Venis gets to his feet and grabs Bladewolf... WHEN HE'S SCOOPED UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS! Bladewolf moves to the middle of the ring and... HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF!
"The Fury of the Wolf!" JR shouted. Bladewolf gets to a knee and presses a hand to Venis' chest. "The cover!"
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Bladewolf doesn't waste another second as he ducks out of the ring and tackles Shamrock against the barricade, hammering away on the man with lefts and rights, forcing himself to cover up.
"Bladewolf and Shamrock getting it on here." JR said as security and referees ran down to separate the two men.
"They're gonna kill each other!" Jerry exclaimed.
Bladewolf punches a referee aside and fights Shamrock up the ramp and backstage as RAW goes to commercial break...
And that's it for this chapter, folks.
