I have no clue how sharks work nor the characters that are little explained in the story to understand them so please don't judge to harshly. The characters may be OOC so please bear with me, futhermore I really enjoy the gameplay from watching others/ youtuber's play it so enjoy.
Scaly Pete was no fragile baby to injuries, his dad didn't raise no whiner. That gave him an edge when that little monster ate his hand and his son gave him worries that his pops wouldn't have expressed.
Kyle wanted to be different and not be a cajun shark hunter like the others before him and that gave him expressed opinions that made them tense between each other.
Things were made more tense when the she-shark that he imprinted on scarred her gills and her top fin to identify later had came back, and if he knew better she swam to him to finish what one of them had started.
In all honesty he didn't expect his son to defend the little(not so little now as she looked just like her mother just with that dangerous glint in her black eyes) bull shark that has grown greatly when he saw Kyle feeding the bull shark with raw fish meat.
Kyle just wanted to get a summer job that just gave him money so he could slowly approach his dream college. He, most importantly, didn't really favor his father's job as a hunter to hunt these dangerous but intelligent animals, but what always impressed him was the size of the female bull shark that his father with a good shot, had taken her down.
What he didn't particular like was his father cutting the belly open and pulling out a baby shark, the film crew that also expressed uncertainty of the sharks presence, were both shocked by scaly pete's actions.
Pete's many experienced notions of his hunting of sharks would've ended up in chaos if Kyle didn't interfere with the pup- turn-teen when he went back to the swamp and connected with the bullshark.
