RAW is WAR: 16/11/1998

RAW is WAR was live at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. RAW returned from the commercial break following the Godfather vs Steven Regal match, and the next one was the Bladewolf vs Ken Shamrock for the WWF Intercontinental Championship after Shamrock challenged the Bladewolf earlier to a rematch from Survivor Series last night.

In the arena, Shamrock's theme hits to boos and he walks out with purpose, making his way towards the ring.

"The following contest is scheduled for one-fall and is for the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship. Making his way to the ring is the challenger. From Sacramento, California, weighing 235 lbs, the World's most dangerous man... KEN SHAMROCK!" Tony Chimel announced.

"Ken Shamrock sure had a hell of a night at Survivor Series." JR said. "However, he did not walk away with either the WWF title or the Intercontinental Title. But tonight, we're getting a rematch between the Bladewolf and Shamrock."

"Ohohoho! This is gonna be good, JR." Jerry chuckled, rubbing his hands together. "They had a good match last night, and I know they'll have another great one tonight."

"Well, we'll just have to see, King." JR said.

Shamrock enters the ring and paces around as his theme dies down, waiting for the Bladewolf.

"He's ready." Jerry said.

"Yeah, Shamrock is waiting and ready." JR nods.

OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf stood at the entrance and adjusted his right elbow pad before he made his way towards the ring.

"His opponent, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced before leaving the ring.

"I think it's safe to say that the Bladewolf may very well be entering 1999 as Intercontinental Champion." JR said. "He has retained on RAW, at House shows, on HEAT, nobody has been able to beat him for that title."

"But some have come close!" Jerry argued.

"Sure have." JR nodded. "But the Bladewolf always prevails. And now, he faces Shamrock tonight once again."

Halfway down the ramp, Bladewolf takes off his title from around his waist. He slides into the ring and tosses the title to the referee... AND HE AND SHAMROCK GO AT IT!

"Here we go again!" Jerry exclaimed as the referee calls for the bell.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Bladewolf and Shamrock slugged it out in a fist-for-fist fight, trading rights back and forth, until Bladewolf starts overpowering Shamrock and forcing him back into the corner. Bladewolf throws some lefts in and then rights, he unloads with a fury of lefts and rights which forces Shamrock to cover up.

"Bladewolf, let him out!" The referee said, trying to pull Bladewolf off but then started to count. "One! Two! Three! Four-!"

Bladewolf whirled on the referee, scaring him back.

"Referee better be careful." Jerry cautioned. "I wouldn't want to make the Bladewolf angry."

"Like you've done before?" JR raised a brow at his partner.

"Shut up!" Jerry glared at him.

Bladewolf turns and runs at Shamrock, but is met with an elbow to the face. Shamrock fights back with a couple of rights, but Bladewolf shrugs them off and delivers a headbutt, sending Shamrock down to a knee. Bladewolf grabs Shamrock and throws him into the corner, backs up a little then runs to hit a turnbuckle clothesline.

"oh!" Jerry winced at the impact.

Shamrock stumbles forward only to be scooped up and slammed down in a side slam.

"Nice side slam by the Intercontinental Champion." JR approved. Bladewolf goes for the cover. "Now the cover!"

"One!"

"Two-!"

Shamrock kicks out at two.

"And Shamrock powers out." JR said.

Bladewolf stands up. He pulls Shamrock to his feet and tosses him back into the corner, where the reigning Intercontinental Champion unloads with a fury of lefts and rights to the midsection, striking too fast for Shamrock to cover up and block. Bladewolf stops and Shamrock lowered his arms only to be met with a big right hook to the jaw, knocking Shamrock onto the top rope which he leans on.

"And the Bladewolf, controlling the match thus far just like last night at Survivor Series." JR noted. Bladewolf delivers a punch into Shamrock's ribcage. "Oh! Aiming for the ribs."

Bladewolf drove his elbow into the side of Shamrock's head, then wrapped his right arm around the top rope before pulling on it. Shamrock yelled in pain while the referee started the five-count, and Bladewolf released at four, followed by punching the area where the shoulder joint and arm meet.

"Oh!" Jerry winced at the sight.

Bladewolf wraps his arms around Shamrock's neck for a headlock, tightening the hold as he brings Shamrock down, the referee moving in to see if Shamrock want to quit. However, Shamrock begins fighting back as he moves, leg kicking out and hitting the mat. He manages to make it back to his feet with the Bladewolf still keeping the hold locked in until Shamrock drives his elbow repeatedly into Blaewolf's stomach, forcing him to eventually let go.

"Shamrock with repeated elbows, breaking the headlock." JR noted.

Shamrock grabs Bladewolf, hooking the arm over his head, and attempts to lift him for a suplex but Bladewolf uses his weight to his advantage, and Shamrock struggles to lift him.

"Shamrock, trying to go for a suplex here." JR saw. "But that's over 300 lbs he's attempting to lift."

Seeing that wasn't working, Shamrock sweeps Bladewolf's legs out from under him and then brings his elbow down repeatedly on Bladewolf's left leg. He then stands up and gives it a big stomp, causing Bladewolf to clutch his left ankle.

"That's a smart move." Jerry said. "He's targeting the legs of the Bladewolf."

JR had to nod and agree. "You take out the legs, you take out the power and keep him down."

Shamrock looks around before he drags Bladewolf over to a corner and gets out of the ring, then grabs Bladewolf's legs... AND PULLS HIM RIGHT INTO THE STEEL RING POST GROIN-FIRST!

"Oh!" The commentators, as well as several of the audience, winced as Bladewolf sat up briefly before falling back down onto his back.

"That-That will keep any man down for a while." Jerry said with a small chuckle.

"And Shamrock..." JR began as Shamrock grabs Bladewolf's left ankle and rams it off the metal ring post. "Oh! Shamrock driving the left leg into the metal of that ring post."

Shamrock rears the leg back to do it again, but Bladewolf pulls his legs in and then thrusts them out, the push sending Shamrock into the metal guard railing, causing him to yell in pain when his back connected with it.

"Oh!" Jerry winced at the impact.

"The Bladewolf, sending Shamrock into the railing." JR said.

Bladewolf manages to roll out of the ring, stomping his leg a few times before he strides over to Shamrock and lands a right hand, then lifts Shamrock up... AND DROPS HIM ONTO THE METAL FENCE!

"Oh God!" Jerry flinched at the impact.

"That'll hurt anybody." JR nodded.

Bladewolf grabs Shamrock... AND SENDS HIM INTO THE STEEL STEPS!

"And now into the steel steps!" JR exclaimed.

Bladewolf picks Shamrock up, and tosses him back into the ring. He rolls in after him then gets to his feet, watching Shamrock stumble to his own before he turns around... INTO A GOOZLE!

"Shamrock's caught!" JR shouted.

Bladewolf lifts Shamrock up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

"Chokeslam!" JR called the move.

"That's it!" Jerry said.

As Bladewolf bends down to grab Shamrock, the crowd boos when the Big Boss Man runs down to the ring, nightstick in hand. He slides in and... HITS THE BLADEWOLF FROM BEHIND WITH THE NIGHTSTICK!

"Oh God!" JR exclaimed. "The Boss Man, with that nightstick!"

Bladewolf straightens up and turns to Boss Man as the referee calls for the bell, ending the match by DQ.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"But the nightstick had no effect on the Bladewolf!" JR shouted.

Boss Man backs up as Bladewolf steps toowards him, then swings the nightstick but Bladewolf blocks it and clobbers the Boss Man, dropping him to a knee.

"What a right!" JR commented.

Boss Man stumbles to his feet... AND BLADEWOLF GOOZLES HIM!

"Oh no!" Jerry's eyes widened.

"Boss Man may be going for a ride!" JR shouted.

Before Bladewolf can lift Boss Man up, Shamrock comes up from behind and... LOW BLOWS THE BLADEWOLF!

"What?!" JR shouted in shock.

"What the hell?!" Jerry was surprised as well.

"Shamrock just low blowed the Bladewolf!" JR said as Bladewolf released Boss Man and falls down to his side in pain. Boss Man and Shamrock gang up on him, with Boss Man hitting him repeatedly with his nightstick, and Shamrock stomping away on him. "Now Shamrock and the Boss Man assaulting the Bladewolf! Has Ken Shamrock joined the Corporation?"

"Yes! Yes , he has!" Jerry laughed. "This is great!"

Shamrock and Boss Man leave the ring, gloating as the crowd boos them heavily for what they've done. However, the boos turn to cheers WHEN THE BLADEWOLF SITS UP!

"Bladewolf sat up!" JR exclaimed.

"Ah!" Jerry yelped.

Bladewolf snaps his glare to Shamrock and Boss Man, anger evident in his eyes as the camera zooms in on the eyeholes of his mask. RAW is WAR soon went to a commercial break...

It's the main evebt. The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship.

Full of VENOM, Austin pounds Rock in the corner until Rock makes a U-turn and retreats up the aisle. Austin chases him down and brings him back to ringside with right hands. Back in the ring, Austin hits the elbow off the ropes and covers for two. This crowd is so hot. There's a suplex and an elbow off the second rope half way across the ring. That gets two.

Rock stuns Austin with a swinging neckbreaker to come back. The "Rocky Sucks" chants are back. To the floor they go, Rock sends Austin into the front row for a big brawl. Awesome. Back to ringside, Austin threatens Rock with a chair only for Rock to kick him away.

Rock bounces Austin off the Spanish announce table and chokes him with a TV cable. Crowd is chanting "Austin". He punches back and elbows Rock on the Spanish announce table. Austin wants a piledriver but of course Rock backdrops him over.

Back inside, Rock applies a sleeperhold. Austin backs him into the corner, but runs into a back elbow. Rock slams Austin and drops the elbow pad for the CORPORATE ELBOW. Rock keeps Austin grounded with a chinlock. The crowd is pleading for Austin to get up. The arm drops once, twice, – BUT NOT THREE TIMES! Austin gets to his feet, but Rock runs him down for two.

MANKIND is at ringside. He fights back and forth with the Big Boss Man. Mankind is trying hard to get to Vince McMahon. Ken Shamrock stands in between them though and while Boss Man holds him up, Shamrock lays in the punches.

While that happened, the crowd cheered when the Bladewolf hopped over the barricade and walks up behind Shamrock and Boss Man.

"Look who's here!" JR spots him.

"Run guys! Run!" Jerry shouted to Shamrock and Boss Man.

Shamrock and Boss Man turned, and Bladewolf attacked them immediately, clobber Shamrock, then uppercutting Boss Man.

"The Bladewolf assaulting Ken Shamrock and Big Boss Man!" JR exclaimed. "It's chaos out here!"

Bladewolf pounds away on Boss Man when Shane McMahon punches Bladewolf from behind, causing him to whirl on him which makes Shane go as white as a ghost, holding his hands up in surrender. Bladewolf doesn't take it and clobbers Shane to a pop from the crowd.

"Oh yeah!" JR shouted over the cheers.

"He struck Shane!" Jerry's eyes widened.

"Hell yeah, he did!" JR nods.

Bladewolf grabs Shamrock and sends him face-first into the steel ring post, then starts brawling with Boss Man, sending him over the barricade and into the crowd. Bladewolf follows after him and the two continue to fight into the crowd, even as Undertaker arrives to lay Austin out with a shivel, costing him the match and the WWF Championship...

And that's it for this chapter, folks.
