I woke up with my wrists chained to the ceiling. I must've passed out in the crate. My feet barely touched the ground. I looked around and saw that I was in a basement similar to the first girl. I need to scream. I can't. I looked down and I bit down. There's a gag, a metal one. I looked down even more and I saw that I was now only wearing my underwear. I looked around again and I saw my uniform pressed and folded neatly on the floor. My boots stood beside it. I held onto the chains and I pulled myself up. I folded my body and I held onto the beam with my legs. I need to break out. Just as I was about to take the gag off, I heard someone coming down the stairs. "LUNA! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" Sam came to me with a cattle prod in her hand. She jabbed it into my back and I fell back down. The pressure on my wrists was unbearable. "Can't you just behave yourself," She grabbed my hair. "Let me take that off you," She said as she took off the gag. I coughed.
"You won't get away with this," I said in a raspy voice.
"I know I won't, and you, you'll never get away from me," she said with a smile. "Also, most of the time, the first thing that comes out of people's mouth after getting chained were; let me go, or let me out. You're weird Luna," she said. I spat on her face. It's easier to die now. "Kinky," She smiled. "Relax, I have some other things to do right now, I'll see you in a bit," she said. She got back up the stairs and I heard the door getting locked.
"I need to get out of this place," I pulled myself up again and I saw where the chain was tied to the beam. It was secured to a metal half-ring screwed onto the wooden beam. If I could just rip that out. 4 Philip head screws, I need something to open it. I looked around me again and I saw a screwdriver, conveniently out of reach. I can't reach that. I grabbed onto the half-ring, and I pulled on it as hard as I could. It wouldn't budge. Is this how I die? No. I wrapped the chains around the half-ring and I pulled again. The pain in my wrists was too much, but I can't stop now. I pulled and pulled and pulled and suddenly I felt it gave away. I fell onto the cold concrete floor. My hands were bruised and bleeding. The chains were still stuck but I'm free now. I walked over to the screwdriver I saw and I grabbed it. With my right hand, I stabbed into the chain's lock. It broke. One wrist free. I freed both of my wrists and I looked at them. Swollen, bruised, and bleeding. I grabbed my shirt and I slid it on. I grabbed my pants and slid it on. I buckled my shoes and I stood up. I can't find my vest, but that's not important. I need to get out of here. There aren't any windows leading out, the ventilation is too small. I can only get out by using the stairs. I need weapons. I grabbed the chains and wrapped them around my left arm, it wouldn't do much, but it would help against knives. I grabbed the screwdriver and I went up the stairs. It's locked. Of course, it is locked.
I took a deep breath and I kicked the door. I misjudged the strength of the door itself, my leg went through it. I pulled my leg back and I reached out and turned the doorknob open. I swung the door open and I saw 3 men, staring at me in disbelief. They had guns beside them, and they were eating pancakes. I stood there, looking at them, them looking at me. "You're under arrest, you have the right to remain silent, anything you may say-" I was halfway through the Miranda when one of them reached for his gun. I charged at him and tackled him to the floor. My left arm choked holding him to the floor and my right stabbed him in the neck with the screwdriver. I pulled back and grabbed the gun in his hand. The other two had theirs drawn out and mine was aiming at them.
"Fuck, we can't kill her," One of them said, their guns still trained at me.
"Put your weapons down," They didn't so I fired. They didn't shoot me. They both fell down. I reached my hand inside the stabbed man's pocket, I need a phone. I checked the others too and still no phone. I grabbed their guns and I saw that they all used different rounds. I shoved the guns in my back pocket and I went out the back door. No one came to aid these 3, which means they were the only ones here. I got out of the front door and I saw a dirt road leading to a main road. I know this route. It's right out of town. I got out onto the streets and just as I got there, I saw a RWPD police cruiser heading my way. I waved my arms up. The sirens blared, and the car stopped in front of me. "Help!" I shouted.
"Luna?" I heard that voice, Captain Anderson. Something felt wrong. Behind his car was an army. An army of dead people all rotten and deformed. All saying the same words, yet I couldn't hear what those words were.
"Captain! It's them, they-" All I heard was a loud bang, and I felt pain in my guts. Right by the place I got shot before. I looked down and I saw blood trickling down. Another loud bang and I fell down. It hurts. Two shots into my guts. I looked up and I saw the Captain looking at me with a disgusted face. His gun was aimed at me. "Captain?"
"Nothing personal," He shot me in the face. I'm dead? I struggled to breathe. Pop-pop must be at home right now, eating those chips. I raised my hand up to my face and I felt the hole in my face. It didn't kill me? The bullet didn't go through, I could feel it sizzling in my face. It didn't hit my brain. I'm still alive. My eyes were moving wildly. "God, you're still alive?" He sighed as he got closer to me. He kneeled in front of me and pushed the barrel of his gun to the side of my head. "You'll die in a bit, don't worry,"
"W-why?" I gasped.
"You don't need to know. All you have to know is that I will take care of your family as protocols go, pension and all, I'm not heartless," He said. Then I heard another car approach. I need to get help. "Oh, you're here, Doctor Sharp,"
"What is the meaning of this Connor?" He came into view, he looked a lot like a Sam. Must be the father. I'm dead. "We had a deal, why did you kill the moon?"
"Seeing that she's here, with the guns I personally gave to my enforcers, she's too big of a variable to be left alone," Anderson said. I looked at the army of corpses behind him, they were getting closer. Now I could hear what they were saying;
"Run!"
I need to run. I looked up and I saw the sky getting darker. It's going to rain. Thunder started to fall. I need to run. One hand holding my guts in, the other dragging my body across the asphalt. The two of them just stared at me. "What do we do about her?"
"Leave her be, she won't survive."
"What if people find her?"
"They will, when that happens, I'm gonna put the blame on her partner," Anderson said. "I'll clean the house, you make sure tomorrow goes off without a hitch,"
"I know what to do," Doc Sharp said. He looked at me, "Freak," he said.
I heard the cars go away, I'm alone now, the rain is falling hard. I need to warn Greg. I need to get up. I got on my knees and I got on my feet. I need to find help. I walked in the rain towards town. I'm slow. Too slow. I'm losing too much blood. In the distance, I saw a car heading towards me. My luck isn't great. I'm dead, aren't I? I sighed. I fell on my knees and sat there. Staring at the headlights, honking as it got closer. The car stopped. "Luna? Oh God! Luna!" Pop-pop shouted. I looked up, and I saw him running towards me. I saw Luan in the passenger's seat, and Lynn coming out the back door. "Luna! Luna!" Pop-pop picked me up. He opened the back door and he laid me down inside. He didn't come back to the driver's seat, he went back to the boot and came back with a first aid kit. "Luna, calm down. Calm down!" He tore open my uniform and started to wrap the wounds on my body. Lynn's face was frozen. He jumped into the car and closed the door.
"Captain- Captain Anderson d-did t-this," I stuttered. "Pop-pop... You need-d to warn-n G-Greg,"
"Luan drive!" Pop-pop shouted. "DRIVE!" Luan jumped into the driver's seat and stepped on the gas. "The hospital, right now!"
"Pop-pop..." I grabbed Pop-pop's collar and he grabbed my blood-tainted hand. "Thank y-you, Pop-pop... I- I..." I couldn't say it. It felt too heavy. "I'm sorry..."
"You have nothing to apologize for Luna, don't say shit like that please!" Pop-pop cried. "Luna stay with me! You weird kid, don't you fucking dare die in my car!" My eyes were getting heavy. I'm gonna rest for a bit.
